Im running low on my vanicream moisturizing ointment that ive had for no kidding like 6-7 years now because i ONLY use it on my eye lids and inner arms when i have flare-ups because it’s the ONLY thing that has actually kept it under control, was trying to find where to get more but ig it’s not been available for a while cus vanicream is reformulating it and there’s no estimate for when it will be available…. And i went on reddit looking for an alternative and no one has found anything 😭😭😭😭😭

Polynesians did also rely on a form of a physical map called a stick chart, illustrating the specific wave and swell patterns surrounding different island chains. These were particularly helpful during cloudy conditions when the sun and stars were less useful. To navigate the Marshall Islands, the Marshallese represented ocean swell patterns using parts of coconut fronds and shells as islands. Like a subway map, they don’t so much represent distances as they do relationships. The complex and decorative stick charts were often only understood by the person who made them. They were memorised before a voyage by the pilot who would lie on the floor of a canoe to get a sense of swell movement and often lead a squadron of 15 or more boats.

the pied-billed grebe is a small, stocky waterbird found throughout both north & south america, dwelling primarily in ponds and marshy habitats. their dark brown coloration allows them to often blend in to the reeds in their habitats. unlike many other waterbirds, they do not have webbed feet; however, they do have ‘lobes’ that extend off the side of the feet and help them paddle. they rarely fly; when threatened, they will often dive below water. they are known to be shy and reclusive in nature. baby grebes do not swim well, but stay afloat by being carried on both parents’ backs. sometimes, parents will even dive underwater with the chicks on their backs. they mainly feed on invertebrates and crustaceans; their sharp beaks allow them to easily extract meat from the shells of crayfish and other prey.
