Heyyy!! So glad to see you back on my dash!! I would absolutely love some hcs for Ashitaka from Princess Mononoke! I adore the fics you wrote for that movie and it’s one of my favorites 💖 Of course take all the time you need and hope you’re doing well!!

A/N: AAAAAH Ashitaka!!! I would love to write some headcanons for him, hes such a cutieeee I love him! He's been one of my fav Ghibli characters for so long hehe i hope you enjoy these!! :D

i think he's pretty ticklish hehe more so than someone would expect!

his tickly spots are definitely under his arms and his ribs hehe but his whole upper body is pretty ticklish!

I think his neck is also good for lighter tickles hehe the kodama really like to sit on his shoulders and tickle his neck and make him all giggly

one time the kodama kept tickling his neck and then faded away when San would turn around to make her think he was laughing at her and she eventually caught on and tickled Ashitaka a lil bit which greatly amused the kodama hehe

ohhh his laugh is also so cute i think it's kind of breathy and a bit deep but really bright and free once he gets going if that makes sense oughh very much a pretty boy laugh!!! because hes a pretty boy !!

he also def squirms but is good at keeping himself still in most cases because he's always worried about hurting someone with his wiggles hes so cuteee

he only controls his wiggles with San and the kodama mostly because he doesn't want to upset the kodama and because he just doesnt wanna hurt San and she takes it as him really liking being tickled hehe

he doesnt mind being tickled he's more indifferent than anything to it but because of that he ends up being tickled more often than he's tickling others

San's brothers also like to tickle Ashitaka too but it's more erm... rough? lol they're wolves guys

they dont hurt him but they get him pinned and just nuzzle into his belly and make him wail until San manages to shoo them away and Ashitaka is covered in fur and slobber hehe

he much prefers when San is the one tickling him lets just say that!

i think most of his tickly time comes from San, her brothers, and the kodama, but I'm sure Lady Eboshi or the women from Iron Town have given him a poke or two hehe

He's too polite to try and tickle them back at all though so he just laughs it off a bit hehe

Ashitaka can be a bit of a tickler, but its mostly with San and its very gentle when he does it

San is more to the point and will just tickle Ashitaka to get him pretty giggly but Ashitaka will tickle San and he'll be very gentle and respectful of if she asks him to stop

she's not totally used to that kind of tickling because... well... her brothers are wolfy ticklers! but she likes when Ashitaka tickles her

I think she's also more blunt with teasing and it flusters Ashitaka to no end but he doesn't really tease her when he tickles her

He will make the occasional comment but otherwise is pretty quiet when he's tickling San hehe

I think he's tried to tickle the kodama before and they seemed to respond but he got swarmed after so he has not tried that again hehe

I know right, marchil gripped me in a chokehold out of nowhere and still hasn’t let go… The sauce was designed by the demon for me to get addicted specifically. It’s been too long since I haven’t written fic for them. I’m still chipping away at my Marcille & Chil arc analysis I know I always mention it and I started the draft in January but I SWEARRR… Season 1 is ending next week :/ On the upside I’ll probably be more focused. After that analysis, which is only analyzing in depth like one aspect/half of their intertwined arc btw so who knows there might be a part 2 one day, I kept thinking it’d prob be my last marchil analysis but let’s be real, probably not. Every week I find something new to point out about them aah…… Dungeon food, ahh, dungeon food…

Fanfic rec wise, well first I have my own marchil fics, to which I mostly recommend Grind Me Down Sweetly, and then feel free to browse my marchil bookmarks for what seems good! I don’t know what your tastes are but Shroomyystar makes super good angst (and smut), my favorite being 'Til our fingers decompose, keep my hand in yours about Marcille getting deathly sick and the dilemma to confess or to not confess, incredibly haunting piece of bittersweet but soul-crushing angst AND character study. Like wow! Chilchuck I need to throw you in a river. I want you beside me is cute bedsharing banter. From me to you makes my head spin and makes me shake my screen. And- *gets dragged off before I can mention more* Meanwhile on the flipside, Anita_Amai (the first ao3 marchil writer, still going strong 👏👏) is especially great at offering short and sweet pieces, the tone is usually light and comedic and it always makes me smile and giggle, gives me fluff attacks, the fics always a strong good scene or theme idea too. Just browse and pick any, it’s a good time. There’s soo many more. Honestly I recommend just diving into the ao3 tag and start reading. You can start by kudos and read the highest ones first to dip your toes and get the community classics one out. Early on there was a recurring anon writer who did great bittersweet domestic confession stuff like this one, lifespan angst oughh... Wherever you are now thank you for all your work 😭💖 A lot of new marchil writers are starting to post too! A csm asaden fanfic writer legend just joined the tag so marchil will probably finally get some multi-chaptered fanfics haha~ But yess there’s unrequited angst, there’s self-sabotaging angst, there’s domestic fluff, there’s falling in love and bantery fluff, bunch of good stuff <3

As to ships with similar vibes: The closest I’ve seen so far is honestly weirdly close, it’s the protagonists from a romance comedy josei called Dame na watashi ni koishite kudasai or Please love useless me! I don’t want to spoil but there’s even the guy needing to move on from a doomed love + emotional distance issues and the gal slowly invading his personal life/social circle and my god… They were coworkers, he was rude, he’s a workaholic, he’s reliable, she’s sunshine and needs to get some reality checks... The banter. THE BANTER. He represses and she copes by simping for fictional characters. He made, like, a mutual aid community for ex-gangsters. They dress up in silly costumes sometimes. They’re weeeird about each other in an unlabelable way before dating in a way (in a fun marchil in canon way). It’s so funny she’s cracking open his convoluted personal drama like her morning newspapers. There’s more there’s so much more. Give up on your dreams, make money, love loses 🔥🔥 It’s honestly just a great fun read, it’s such a mood. Haven’t read the sequel yet but there’s one so really if it hooks you you’ll be fed well and for a while. The greatest bits are too spoilery but here, have the vibe.

Howl’s Moving Castle, specifically the book, and there’s a ton of themes and narratives that are so fitting for them that I couldn’t possibly all list, I already made a post on it here if you’re interested in all the details and similarities and my AU thoughts haha.

Teen Titans 2003 the show, Beast Boy x Starfire. THAT’S RIGHT I’M A BBSTAR, BAM! 💥🫶 Jokester that’s dependable x sweet and idealistic but strong and protective. Short gremlin and tall beauty. Friends-coworkers to lovers. Very soft fluffy slice of life ship I like it a lot, and I wrote a fic for it hehe. Might do more one day, I have a bunch of prompts written down and a series I really wanted to get to sob.

I almost forgot to mention Shrek. It’s SO FUNNY how well it goes sometimes… Chil Shrek, Laios Donkey, Marcille Fiona. I want to say Mickbell could be Farquaad but even Mick doesn’t deserve this slander… Shrek 2 fear that he’s not prince charming enough for her oughh. Laios getting to be a horse good for him good for him. Winged Lion singing I need a hero. Someone stop me.

There’s also zenmiyo from Touge Oni but no one reads that </3 I gotta get to my review/lore analysis about that manga it’s sooo good a fave read of mine from last year. Like it’s so fucking good. It keeps just ramping up and getting more crazily good. Scrolling through some pages rn and it’s a unique blend of comedy, philosophy and awe-inspiring visuals and creativity. Well, sort of like late Dunmeshi actually. If it had a fandom any bigger I’d be all over it constantly. And I’d also recommend Harahara Sensei / Timebomb Teacher if it had any english translation, one of my fave mangas also. It’s about mafia, and a goody two shoes willing to go through a corruption arc to save her sister x stern rude mafioso who’s there bc he’s poor and on a revenge mission, never had any other option growing up etc etc. Ok he’s not that Chilchuck but the dynamic does have that "grow up and see the world for what it is, a shithole. It’s been hell for me" vs "ok you have a point. But also have you considered not sacrificing your humanity and emotions in a self-destructive pursuit" (not that she’s in the position to talk lmaoo) like ohh my goood him throwing his popsicle stick in the fire that she lit over a corpse, it haunts me.

From the marchil Discord it’s also fun to notice ships some of us share… Csm asaden, some combination of LotR elf x short guy, fair amount of dunmeshi ships overlap too. Haven’t found the overall common thread quite yet and I’m forgetting many that have come up but lol some off the top of my head.

HIFUDHHHHHIOOOOOUGHHHH BUGS. OUGHH BUGS. INSECTS AND SPIDERS AND ROLLIE POLLIES AND SLUGS AND SNAILS!!!

They're quite possibly my favorite types of animals on this planet. I think they're only tied with marine life, cuz I love those guys as well. Seriously, my mom nicknamed me Bug because when I was a baby, i was "as cute and snug as a bug." And then I grew up to love bugs so it FIT!! Heck my dad shared some photos of a spider and I instantly went "YOOO CATS FACE SPIDER!!" They legitimately look like they have a cartoon kitty face for an abdomen. They're such a brilliant and amazing orange, and they're just cute! They're also a type of orb weaver. And orb weavers can get HUGE

Speaking of spiders, a couple that you DO actually want in your home are wolf spiders and jumping spiders. They don't make webs, they're often born outside so they're capable of just being let out, and they'll just eat the bugs and pests in your home and leave. I am not kidding, I have never seen a jumping spider stay in one person's house longer than three days.

Rollie pollies (or pill bugs, potato bugs, isopods) are actually crustaceans. Rrlated more to crabs and lobsters. Have ya ever heard of the giant isopod in the deep? Yeah! THEY'RE COOL HUH? They're also neat little scavengers and will eat almost anything, especially dead and rotting leaves and plants. Mostly those. They also live in large families and hibernate.

Dragonflies are just cool. I love calling them helicopters cuz they are just that. Being able to zip up and down and backwards and forwards and hover. They're also predators, meaning they hunt other bugs. And the bigger ones have quite a bite. Ask me, the local bug handler, how I know that bfiejdj

I don't have much info on millipedes and centipedes. They're just cool. Though you've got to be careful when handling centipedes. Those things are venomous, and some can even deliver a VERY nasty bite. I haven't been bitten by one that's dangerous to humans, but yeah. They've got a strong bite.

Speaking of strong bites, or pincers, I STILL CAN AND WILL DEFEND EARWIGS. They are COOL. They have a PINCER on their BUTT. I have seen albino ones where they're just pure white. Yeah they can get a bit stinky but thats also pretty cool imo (says the one who spent hours hunting for bugs fiejdjw). They don't crawl in your ears at all. I'm sure if they were called something different, they'd be less hated. Also cockroaches are neat, fite me.

Pelican spiders is quite possibly the most ridiculous spider I have ever seen. And I've seen ogre-faced orb weavers and those spiders with smiles on their abdomen. They're a more ancient species of spider where their long fangs are used more as an assassin thing. Pretty cool right? Man that spider can PELICAN. (Seriously look these guys up I love them SO MUCH)

Deaths head hawkmoths are probably my favorite moths. They're pretty big and can squeak (did you know that certain bugs, such as moths and beetles, can squeak? Yeah! Moths do it by pushing air out their proboscus and the beetles that squeak have large mandibles). Deaths head moths have a skull-like pattern on their thorax and they're just GORGEOUS. I love them. Also look up rosy maple moths! I love moths!

Honeybees are pretty docile and can be picked up and even pet. I've pet a few bees. Also wasps are cool. They're just gorgeous to me. A lot of the time, just leave em be. Hold still while they're around you, don't be afraid of them, and they'll buzz off. Yellow jackets do this anyway. They don't really hunt humans unless you did something to their hive

Astro is a interesting critter to me i love him. He's presumably the second character to be brought into the physical plane-the second oldest. it must be diffricult to keep up with so many new faces over the years (putting into my consideration that the Toons are seperate/did not 'act' in the show), but he seems to have made a effort to-but this still puts him in a weird grey area of isolation that all the other Mains are (and if anything post-shutdown being Dandy's friend still isolates him further) I think he tries partially to compensate for this with his Dream Stuff. A lot of his conversations regard requests for them, and post-shutdown a nice dream might be one of the few comforts they can get.

His theming is interesting as well-being that he has a planetarium-themed floor and speaks on astrology a lot, but has generally more sandman-like theming. i think each of the main toons are supposed to teach about some aspect of the world or something like that, so what does he stand for? Probably just space as a concept in general, but i dunno...I don't think he's as much 'stuck in the past' as Dandy is, maybe a little bit but not to the amount that it putd too much detriment on him.

the thing with boxten haunts me All the time. What does Astro think a good dream is? How much active influence does he have over the contents? For the latter I think its pretty extensive but reaches to from his own subconcious at one point. moreso guiding/influencing strongly than directly controlling. with boxten specifically, because he is a relatively newer character if what sources I have are right, there's more 'room' that spiralled off into something he can't exactly perceive right himself. Not enough of a established psyche for it to be more Boxten than Astro, if that makes sense. But then again apparently there's gonna be more with boxtens dreams so that might just be Waffling...

i think hes a chronic fatiuge icon and its silly how despite being the eeper hes got his peepers wide open. why you so surpised boy. maybe he can't sleep himself.

on his Twisted oughh. guy who wants everyone to sleep well. i think that sentiment loads to why he takes a sip from machines he knows aren't completed-so that whoever's on the floor will stay there longer and he'll have a chance of 'helping' them. He's barely changed-just more exposed and weeping. What happened boy. I think that in a sort of blue diamond esque way (sorry) he's constantly projecting that misery/guilt he feels and considering how heavy those are that partially causes the Tired debuff. eh funny outta game hc i think his big ol star eye there would have the effect of compelling one to stop moving-sort of a fear paralysis thing. His sound design's probably one of my favorites as well-Alr said but it plays into his weird sandman/fae theming as well. I know there's something else behind his ichor activities but I'll have to think on that further

3. What were their first impressions of each other? How does that compare to their impressions of each other now?

Nico's first and current impressions are by far the most drastically opposite. At first, when Niners was presented as his partner, Nico absolutely despised the guy. He had his reasons of course - one of which was connected to his sister's death -, so it wasn't just baseless but still. As a result, his attitude was quite unpleasant at first, swinging like a pendulum from disinterest/apathy to irritation and anger.

Now, he sees Niners for what he truly is - a valuable partner, both at work and in life, someone worthy of trust and respect, someone extremely smart and interesting, compassionate and selfless. Most importantly, he sees a person, an individual with his own likes, dislikes, personality, interests, opinions, etc. Even though he may not say it directly or aloud all that often, Nico is extremely proud of Niners and his personal growth.

Niners started out neutral but still polite and friendly towards Detective Lallas, slowly growing more and more intrigued, trying to understand his partner better. That was no easy feat since irrational reactions caused by emotional outbursts were hard to grasp and find logical explanations for. The more Niners learned, the greater was his respect for Nico and all the things he accomplished.

Now, Niners can't imagine himself without Nico (the feeling is mutual, of course, but for Niners this has a bigger impact). This experience, everything they both went through, made Niners into who he is, and for that he is forever grateful! There are no words to describe the amount of love, care and loyalty he feels towards his human partner. The feelings of awe and adoration that swell in Niners' heart are so vast and deep, absolutely limitless. This troubled man with his own flaws and issues is deserving of so much love and compassion and Niners is more than happy to provide that, not asking for anything in turn (however, this selfless gesture doesn't go unnoticed. Nico isn't the type to express his affection through words but he has his own ways of showing that Niners means a whole lot to him).

Both are very glad to have met each other <3

(Can you tell that I love gushing about their attitudes towards each other, especially once they have realized certain things about each other and developed a bond? Oughh I love my boys so much 😭)

6. Do they have any shared interests/hobbies? Do they ever do these hobbies together?

They both like music and play instruments. Albeit, different ones - Nico knows how to play the guitar and drums (mostly plays the former since that's what he has at home), while Niners learned how to play the piano. They do also listen to stuff together from time to time!

Another thing that they enjoy doing is playing chess together! I even had this little scene in my head where Nico tells Niners to play fair without even thinking of ever giving in. Nico considers winning against Niners fair and square an accomplishment since his partner is basically a super computer :D

Not technically a shared hobby but Niners looooves reading books! He has lots of 'em - some bought or gifted to him by Nico, some bought with his own money. And sometimes he reads them out loud to Nico when they're both either chilling on the couch or on the bed together. Falling asleep to Niners' deep and soothing voice reading a fantasy adventure story is one of Nico's favorite pastimes <3

Another fun thing that they do together when they have the time is watching detective shows and nitpicking them to bits ahahdhd

Nico is usually the one shit talking the shows, rambling about how dumb and unrealistic stuff is or how nothing makes sense. Niners finds it pretty entertaining. Sometimes this turns into a discussion about what they would've done or what would've worked better for the scene or crime solution in whatever episode they were watching.

They have a lot of great memories together so it's hard to choose. Plus some of 'em would be spoilers so I'll keep 'em a secret 👀 Gotta read the comic that I'll make one day to find out 👀

Fav Fic: I love you most - Jason Todd x reader - very much a self indulgent fic, and i go back to read it when im anxious. as someone w an anxiety disorder and other mental health issues i don't talk about much on here, a lot of the time i cope using fictional scenarios and other means, so this fic just means a lot to me

Least Fav Fic: Sub!Eris Vanserra Hcs - this could have been SO. much better, and each time i see it i cringe. i remember really wanting to write this but i just,,,, couldnt, so i settled for really half assed hcs. eris vanserra is also one of my absolute favorite characters of all tiem as well, but i never write for him bc A) the acotar fandom scares me B) i can never do him justice and these hc show that

Fic w Most Notes: NNN Hcs w The Hashiras - oughh this was a pain in the ass to write but. it was worth it. nearly 8.5k notes is CRAZY to me when i thought it sucked ass when i posted it... thanks yall

Fav Fandom to Write For: i really LOVE to write for Bnha or DC because there is SOO much interaction and reblogs WITH SPECIFIC COMMENTS TOOOO its so nice in those fandoms specifically. and the writers from those fandoms r very kind as well

Least Fav Fandom to Write For: easily a tie between acotar and tdp. for acotar its because the fandom is incredibly heteronormative to the point where people would be annoyed when i used gender inclusive pronouns in my fics, and there was just a lot of arguing over headcanons that made me super uncomfy 😭 and then for tdp people kept asking me for dragon smut over fifteen times even when i said i wouldn't write beastiality so. yk. it was Weird. i do miss it tho.

Fav Character to Write For: Aaravos because i could characterize him in my own way and basically ignore canon bc he was just. My Guy. there was a point in time where i was THE ONLY active aaravos fic writer in the aaravos x reader tag and he was literally up to my interpretation. i also ADORE writing for Alastor because as someone who might be somewhere on the ace spectrum it is WONDERFUL to experiment with the idea of a character who isn't really a fan of sex, and he's so unique and interesting to write for. i also really like writing for Sevika (even tho i have NAWT written enough for her) because she's very much my type irl, and i just. love butches so much.

Fav Unfinished WIP: probably If Only, which was an adam x reader fic that only has two parts and i never really got around to finishing it- BUT I WANTT TOOO

more personal favorites: Through Me (this song is insane actually!! can't describe it with words.), From Eden (one of the best love songs i've ever heard), Angel of Small Death (soo insanely addictive, his voice in this one ugh) and Movement (soft and beautiful and the very first song of his that I heard). The Eat Your Young EP is a wonder in itself but tbh so is everything else,,,,

now for some specifically sugu coded songs: Through Me and All Things End, Who We Are from his last album (the lyrics... my days the lyrics are so beautiful), Blood Upon the Snow!! (written for God of War Ragnarok, it's so good ??), Almost (Sweet Music) (be still my foolish heart, don't ruin this on me ✊😔)

but like i said, every time i hear a Hozier song it's sugu coded in my head... the lyrics always make sense to me. the way they're always so poetically romantic, yet in many of them there's a lingering pain underneath, wether it's because the love is already gone or because the love is simply way too much for just one heart to handle... i'm not okay.

fun fact, i once fell asleep listening to him and dreamt that it was suguru singing... and you know what it makes so much sense, i'll take it.

As one of the few ROTB Wheeljack defenders out there, could I ask what your rankings on Wheeljack designs are?

Ah yes I am a rare one indeed, but ofc LOL this is gonna be long..

1. Let’s start with the one an only, G1 Wheeljack! I like this design, the second design of Wheeljack I ever saw, and I was immediately attached. His voice is the best one imo, classic/10

2. TFP Wheeljack! First ever design of him I ever saw and, It’s ok, I like his personality, how chaotic he is. It’s definitely a big change from our silly scientist in G1, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing! He’s not my most favorite but I can understand the appeal, 5.5/10 don’t stone me

3. Bayverse Que! I find the idea of Wheeljack taking after what is viewed as the “smart look,” in this case Albert Einstein, to be very funny and in character for him, though Que looks to be in pain and that hurts to see, 3/10 please see Ratchet again don’t mind how ironic this photo is

4. TF Siege Wheeljack! I like him, design being G1, his voice MWAH, his personality being basically G1 but more serious, I like it a lot and he’s definitely a highlight of the show(s), 10/10 he’s just G1 “pain in the ASS”

5. Animated Wheeljack! It’s alright, again him looking like Walter White is hilarious to me, but I personally don’t like the design that much, not much else to say as he wasn’t a prominent character, 4/10

6. IDW Wheeljack! This design is really nice, he looks very badass and I like that. I miss my silly scientist but hey work the new look my man! I can’t say much else as I haven’t read the comics, 10/10

7. Bumblebee movie Wheeljack! What a name, but this is a great design! The headfins glowing when he talks OUGHH it’s perfect, though the rest of the body could’ve looked better imo, just like almost every other bot we saw at the beginning of that movie, but that’s not the focus of it now is it? 9/10

8. My boy, my lovely silly guy that gets too much hate, ROTB Wheeljack!! Or Jackie as I exclusively call him. I like this design a lot, again it has the “taking inspiration from his surroundings” thing going on which may be why he looks like the typical “nerd” and I love it. Only complaint I have is that, if he really IS supposed to be Wheeljack, why not show that more with the stuff he does? Or says? The only thing in the movie that says he’s Wheeljack is Mirage’s line, but even then you can argue he was saying “Wheeljack needs to fix this guys power steering”- but I digress, he personally is a great design, my silly guy/10

9. Earthspark Wheeljack! I’ll be honest, I didn’t like this design at first, but after watching his episode recently, it’s grown on me. It’s a nice design, though I don’t like the beard- nor do I like the southern accent..damn you TFP…but all in all it’s a good one, 10/10

10. Cyberverse Wheeljack! I can’t say much about how he acts cause I haven’t watched the show, but design wise he’s alright, still the beard and the accent issue, is what it is, I personally don’t like his voice- but other than that he’s alright, and very goofy from the clips I’ve seen, a proper Wheeljack, 9/10

Now those are all the Wheeljack’s I can remember off the top of my head, any other ones I feel like I can’t exactly rate them just yet as I don’t know a single thing about them. There are some other characters named Wheeljack out there, like Armada, that I won’t rate as that’s just some mf named Wheeljack and not actually him lol

Their bond means a lot to me, but like yeah I don't ship them as much and I've been taken over by a few other Yuma ships as a preference. also not to randomly bring up rarepair I like but like I think Viva should consider Makoto, please they'd be cute source: trust me. Okay that's all

Yuma Ramenhead (real Kokohead. I Call him Ramenhead. For ease in knwoing who tf I mean): 5/10 I think they're funny but like please add Makoto in and it's just really funny. I simply like it because I like things that make me laugh and that's litrally all. (There's more i could say. I wish we saw them properly interact desperately. But yah.)

Kurumi -5/10 I do Not like them. I hate them I hate how they're shoved at us like why do we need a love intrest character like this again?? I THINK I like em platonically? but also my dislike for Kurumi as a character/my opinion of her actively going down further somehow each time I replay the game & everything about her makes it Hard for me to really. Like. Care. About their bond at All Hhh. I dont like themmmm

When I play again eventually maybe I'll form a better opinion

do you have a favorite moment from your experience playing fnv?

ough its hard to narrow it down to just one, theres so many moments in this game both intentional and not that are so good . i loved all the quests in the ultra luxe and gomorrah, i loved boone's quest about his dead wife lol , more recently i loved the great khans stuff (even if fighting those deathclaws was a pain in the ass it was rly rewarding finally figuring out how to beat them) but i have two specific moments i think will stick w me for a LONG time, one intentional and one unintentional

the (mostly) intentional one was killing benny . ive talked abt him before so ill keep it brief but i had happened to play the game in such a way that made me like. grow to know and like him more over time? at first it was just blind annoyance and dislike, he's the guy who shot me, obviously. once i actually met him i liked his stupid charming demeanor, and upon getting out of his trap w just a good speech check, i felt like we had developed a mutual soft spot for each other (even if we were still opponents and had every reason to hate each other). i found him again at the legion camp and exhausted all his dialogue, and the more i talked to him the more i realized- not only does benny have a really human background and motivations, he's not too dissimilar to me and/or my courier . and i felt kinda silly for hating him this entire time! i suddenly liked him, i didnt want him to die! but letting him escape is crazy hard to pull off and even if you do he's still gone from the story after that . i wound up killing him in the legion arena bc it only felt fair to give him a fighting chance, and both of us being kinda shitty at stabbing each other was just this perfect bittersweet ending to our time together. i still wear his suit basically any time i dont need better armor on, and yes the implications of this given my new position on the strip keep me up at night too im gonna make art abt it eventually dont worry

the unintentional thing was early on in my adventures w yes man. id been watching a lot of like, atmospheric fnv videos in the bg where they walk in-game some long stretch between towns, and i wanted to do the walk from primm to the strip like the courier was originally supposed to. plus i modded the game to have a custom radio station w old country songs i like lol so it was an excuse. so im walking w yes man and we're maybe halfway done w the trip when we come across this kinda scenic view (this game doesnt let me screenshot so its a phone pic, hence the colors are a bit off):

and i stop to admire it with him right as it's only make believe by conway twitty comes on- which is a song about an unrequited relationship (ie "we can pretend in public that you love me, i can hope that you love me, but i know it's only make believe") but standing there next to an f/o while it plays is OUCHHH OWWWW OUGHH. its heartwrenching. even in-character, my six would feel similarly abt yes man since he's yknow. just a robot. and in the fiction i can only imagine like. standing there and having the view and the song and yes man just a foot away at most and not having confessed yet and. long story short i think this is the first time they tell him they love him. so now this random stretch of highway in new vegas is wildly bittersweet for me and nobody else lmao

fun fact!! parrot is starting to show their true self. them without all the pain and fear and manipulation. they're very gentle, very sweet, very loving. they're very loyal and protective. they're very playful and mischievous.

they're showing that affectionate side to amie and ori. they're gonna start being more and more like their real self over time. slowly but surely. until they get pulled in.

it's a side of parrot no one's really seen before. they're the sweetest, silliest lil guy. it just all got stamped out years ago. they're going to go around the servers hugging people. they're going to play pranks and mess with Sam and jade and mark. they're going to try to preen amie's gills (and ori's, if he lets them) despite the fact that they are not feathers (LOOKS SIMILAR ENOUGH!!)

OUGHH AGGGGHH MY HEART DUDE... parrot getting to heal and be happy... That's like one of my favorite arcs for characters is when theyve been through hell and finally get to be happy again.

Amie would let them 100% he'd think it's funny. Ori would do that thing cats do where you touch their ears and then it twitches.
