Ok we need to talk about SHE’LL NEVER FORGIVE HIM 😀

I posted a vid and I see that the fandom is really upset about this particular line from the interview and I wanna explain how I see this. Careful: this might light you up

1. “She won’t forgive him” ≠ “She won’t be with him” !!!

They always love to play with semantics, I’ve seen a lot of stuff like this.

June might not forgive the action, like betraying Mayday, ruining the plan, breaking her trust.

But love and forgiveness? Not the same thing.

She can:

• still love him

• understand why he did it

• see how much he’s suffering

• stay with him, even if she’s still hurt

2. “Not forgiving” can be the conflict, not the ending

This is a drama, not a contract. She might say “I can’t forgive you.” Then later “But I still love you.” Then eventually “And god, I can’t live without you.”

That’s a classic arc: pain, struggle, and then choosing love anyway.

3. They’re baiting us and they know it 🤡

Of course they’re gonna say “She’ll never forgive him.”

A shockwave for the fandom.

But what they really mean could be:

• «She’s furious right now»

• «It’s going to take time»

• «She’ll have to work through it»

that’s just Act Two: conflict.

4. June might think she can’t forgive but she’ll grow

This show is obsessed with moral gray areas.

June is always re-evaluating her values.

And she might think she’s done with him until:

• she ends up in a similar impossible position

• she sees how broken he is

• someone tells her what he did for her

• or he does it again, choosing her over everything

Growth is messy. That’s the point.

5. Endgames ALWAYS break before they mend

They separate the OTP. They make it hurt. And then they heal it.

They didn’t give us:

• Nick’s flashback

• his love confession and basically a fucking PROPOSAL

• Paris dream

• the literal “you’re the only good thing in my life” line

• also her yes (?!!) like Luke never existed

• really messy situation with Wharton who abused Nick just like his father did 😭

How I feel about this character: I am a notorious hater of change in TV casts. Once I get to know The Blorbos, I get invested and grow increasingly grumpy about meddling. I stopped watching Teen Wolf at first because the cast changed so dramatically between s3 and s4. I'm a baby about it!

So you can imagine my surprise when, after showing up five seasons into this show, this little weirdo slithered into my heart almost immediately.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: SCOTT MCCALL. Ahem, so sorry I yelled, let me try again: SCOTT MCCALL.

They are everything to me! It's the way Theo defines himself through Scott from the very beginning: he remembers Scott helping him when he was small! Scott made him feel better! And they used to be the same! Asthmatic little kids! And now he needs to kill that part of himself, finally and for real, and at the same time, Scott is so different from him: a real werewolf, a true alpha, someone who got power without killing anyone, especially not their sister. I'm such a sucker for that kind of obsession and Theo delivered in spades.

Meanwhile, Scott truly wants to have faith that they're still the same: that this is the same kid he used to know, that their history matters. He wants it to be the case that Theo understands what it means to be a werewolf, that Theo knows what it is to try to define yourself against a violent tide, to know how important it is to have a pack, to be terrified of being alone. He makes himself so wrenchingly emotional around Theo, in a way he's so incredibly reluctant to do in general. But he wants to let Theo in that badly!

And even if he doesn't see the truth of what Theo is there to do, he sees a deeper truth because Theo does know what it means to be trying to define yourself out of violence, to be alone, to be desperate for connection. It's just that Theo makes different choices, rejects the connection Scott offers because he tells himself he doesn't care.

But he cares so baddddd. 5b guts me every time because they're both walking around so wrecked by the murder. Scott's wound is the most compelling (and literal) to me, but the way Theo's failure is both infuriating and a relief to him just gets to me. He makes five different plans afterwards and they're all still about being like Scott and outdoing Scott! And Posey is so good at making Scott so raw about Theo: hurt, scared, angry, pathetically hopeful. He warns Theo not to trust Deucalion and suggests he could kill Theo if he had to seconds later. Theo cracks Scott open so good!

That said, I also adore Theo's dynamic with Malia--they eat their scenes up. He loves that she's more powerful him even though it also makes him insane. She can't ignore her feelings for him even after he murdered one of her best friends. Theo admits he doesn't want to hurt her and still does. Like come on, what am I supposed to do, not ship them?

I'm also a sucker for his thing with Tracy, I think I've read every fic for them and wish there were more.

I love his enemies-with-benefits thing with Stiles but soured on the pairing after seeing how the fandom treated Scott.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Okay, I know I just said what I said about Maleo but I'm also such a sucker for Theo&Malia becoming friends. I just think it would happen! Theo offers the kind of quiet help Malia would appreciate--especially compared to the flimsy and inflammatory "help" Peter tries to foist on her--and she's already softening on him by the end of s6. I think that as time went on and Theo puts more effort into being nice to people, he'd make more progress. And then they're both orphans with siblings they killed who know what it's like to be homeless. I just think they'd get each other on a level no one else does.

And I do enjoy Theo's dynamic with Liam. Liam holds Theo accountable in a way Theo really needs in s6, and you can see Theo responding to it. I've said it before, but I also really love that moment when, after being an incredible bitch about the keys for the truck, Theo takes in how psyched Liam is that they found the right one and cracks a big smile. I think Liam's particular brand of jockish hype is infectious for someone like Theo. In my current WIP, Theo lives in a guesthouse at Liam's place and I'm having fun with it.

My unpopular opinion about this character: In this fandom? The bar is so low that "canon is real" seems to be an unpopular opinion. It is canon, for instance, that he is the same age as Scott and co, and never had a heart condition, and yet...

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Would ONE conversation about the past with Scott (or Malia or Lydia or Hayden) be too much to ask?

And I wish he had taken Scott's pain.

I really wish cdramas would let ZWY play an unhinged psycho because he'd be so good at it. Here he is torturing his fellow disciple (as part of an insane plan on both their parts to bring down powerful minister, long story) and boy, he's scary. But I am also wondering how anyone wanted to work for the government - instead of getting a bad performance review, it's in the torture apparatus with you!

Yeah, Marquis Incel brought her there so she'd see a different side of San Ge. Though then what? Fine, San Ge is unsuitable, that doesn't make Marquis Incel any more suitable - it means San Ge and Marquis Incel are torturing people together and both willing to use whoever to get ahead, and both won't care about the Luos (since San Ge will do whatever and Marquis Incel already tried to hurt them.) It all may make San Ge ineligible but it doesn't make Marquis Incel any more eligible.

But also, god I love how ride or die she is for him, it's so rare in a drama heroine. She's just seen LSY brutally torture his fellow disciple on orders of a corrupt minister and then be rude to her. Shortly after, his own teacher will disown LSY for greediness and cruelty. His father believes he's being careerist etc. And Ning? Not a court person etc knows him well enough she trusts him; she remembered his asking her to trust him no matter what it looks like and she does because she knows him.

The way she keeps shutting down Marquis Incel!

I love her polite FUs!

She is amazing!

And he insults LSY and she literally tries to slap him!!!

I love that when LSY comes to find her, he's sick with nerves, he's just had a confrontation with his teacher and he's wondering if she will also reject him.

I love both with all my heart because I've been shipping Gwuncan since day 1 but I've also been shipping Gweather since day 1.

As for Aleduncan, I actually enjoyed their dynamic in S3 and wanted more of it because it was interesting to see these two amazing competitors with very different games and personalities interact and them actually liking each other. What works for Aleheather works for Aleduncan : competitors with a plan who are here to win but still respect and care about each other.

And finally, I love Gwalejandro because it has so much potential. It reminds me of these popular boy x nerd fics I read when I was younger but here it's not that Alejandro is popular and Gwen is a nerd it would actually be the opposite because Alejandro is such a nerd in is own way, it's that Alejandro needs to be liked or admired/feared by everyone and he feels like Gwen doesn't like him so he has to make her like him. It's necessary for him to be liked which is a sad consequence of years of living in a family that only valued his older brothers. And Gwen actually has nothing against Alejandro, she's just herself. So they get closer because Alejandro will just try his best to be likeable and have the same results as usual. But they both don't realize they actually like each other's company and it's such an interesting dynamic!

Finally for Dunther, I like them but mostly platonically so they would be the two opposite parts of the polycule to me.

But the question wasn't what I liked about them but if I prefer them to Gwuncan....

Well I don't know. Gwuncan will always be my TD OTP but Alegwunther just screams potential and considering there are more dynamics, there are more things to explore... So I would say it's a tie for some reason...

Did anyone do the character ask game for Price?

Ha, Anon, I didn't. I had a few sporadic individual ones. I think people went: ahh, he's a Price guy, someone else will ask the Price guy about Price. But no. No.

Favourite thing about him

His disregard for bullshit rules. His frustration with the bureaucracy in the way of achieving just goals. I think he has a strong sense of justice (dictated by his own moral compass), and perceived injustice cannot stand. If you slight him, or the people he cares for, he's coming for you, and nothing on this earth or the next will save you from him. We share the frustration and the strong sense of justice in common. Mine gets me in trouble a lot, because I will absolutely tell people when I think they're being cunts or what they're asking me to do isn't right. I've landed on my feet most times, but not always. So, I guess I can relate.

What else? He's an overachiever and I love exploring where that drive comes from. I think I project a lot in coming up with the cause; disappointing your parents by being queer, so you work yourself down to the bone to prove yourself worthy of a love that will only destroy you in the end, because it's conditional on your soul bending in a way it's not meant to.

I love his fiery temper. Love it when he snarls and snaps. He's not the emotionless commander, blank slate protagonist who is perfect so we can project ourselves onto him thoughtlessly. Kind of linked to the rest of him: asymmetrical face, thinning hair at the crown, receding hairline, scruffy facial hair, strong build but not Hollywood ripped. He's an every man; flaws, freckles, n' everything in between.

Least favourite thing about him

He's intelligent and manipulative. He finds the broken boys, he tells them they can make a difference and all they've got to do is what he says, he puts the gun in their hands, points and gives the kill order. I think Price cares for them in his own way, but I also think he knows when someone is vulnerable to his particular brand of maverick justice. Price knows he inspires loyalty and devotion to an almost unhealthy degree, and he uses that to his advantage.

I say "least", again, but I think it makes him interesting. I think Soap throwing himself between him and a bullet would have profoundly affected him. Soap throwing his life away for Price - not the mission, for Price - was never part of the plan.

I mean... I'm constantly writing them. But the one that comes up now and then is his accent. I think he trained himself out of it at Sandhurst because he wanted to be taken seriously. There's still a lot of snobbery in the British military at that level. Scouser Price is still very fun to write.

Hii okay so I don't usually like 'defending' my otp but because you seem to genuinely want to know I'll answer. But I'm also curious if you ship anyone in Fontaine because none of them had any romantic interactions. Least of all Neuvillette. But anyway, the following are my own opinions and I can't say if everyone else sees them the same way.

I put off doing Fontaine questline for months, because I had lost interest in Genshin so I missed all fandom reactions etc, I don't know how popular whatever ships are. When I finally played it, I was neutral about things until the final archon quest. When that Focalors cutscene happened with Neuvillette, my eyes kinda opened. I shipped them first before Neuvifuri. His openly shocked/upset/devastated reactions to her were something new, since he hardly emoted before and we hadn't really seen his feelings. And the way he talked about Furina to Focalors, with so much concern and care for her because she's only human with such a huge burden. So then I went on my other account and replayed the whole questline to record it for gifs, because I'd fallen in love with Furina and her story.

They ruled Fontaine together for 400 years. Furina called Neuvillette to serve as the Iudex (though it was Focalors' idea), and Furina taught him to love humanity and open himself up to people. He's like her familiar the way Dvalin is Venti's and Yae Miko is Ei's. Whether it's platonic or romantic, they're each other's most important person and they love and care for each other. In the AQ, Neuvillette becomes increasingly frustrated with Furina because she isn't letting him in and is being secretive. Yet he keeps closing his eyes (literally, in some cases) to Furina's pain, like he's done for hundreds of years.

Neuvillette is enchanted by Furina's performances on stage, and wanted her to return there in Furina's story quest, and said his appreciation of her was always genuine and he wishes she knew that. Even in his voice line about her he says if she were to return to the stage, he would attend the performance and give her his heartfelt applause.

He gave her a special vision, possibly the first vision since he gained his full powers. If you look closer, it has dragon claws on it.

In the AQ, Furina fooling the heavenly principles wouldn't have worked without Neuvillette. He forgave the people of Fontaine and together they prevented the prophecy. Even though it was all Focalor's plan, and Furina did the hardest part, if Furina hadn't made Neuvillette care for the people it wouldn't have worked.

Immediately after the AQ when Furina had to leave Palais Mermonia, he got her a new apartment, and he said he will provide her with food, clothing, travel, whatever she wants. Meanwhile Furina's voice lines say it's been a while since she went to the Palais and that she thinks it's better for the both of them. Ouch. She's even avoiding him in Liyue.

There's insane angst and potential for a tragic ship. Furina lied to him for centuries, and now thinks it's better if they don't meet. She was incredibly lonely yet she couldn't confide in him, her closest friend. She's now mortal as well, whereas Neuvillette is a dragon. So she can actually get hurt, and die.

Plus they're beautiful together. They have matching color schemes, height difference, they have amazing synergy in combat. Their in-game abilities complement each other. Like they were made for each other.

Ahh thank you so much! 💖 I plan to write a fic with it, but have been having a lot of fun just drawing it for now. Here's some more thoughts I have!

I'm a sucker for the language of flowers, so that's part of the inspiration! It would have been interesting to make both Vash and Roderich have matching edelweiss flowers, but I will admit that the meme and a mutual had influence to make it peonies and marigolds xD

In the BBAU I had the thought that grief/regret can grow on a person, like clawing weeds, or mold. It's inescapable, and agonizingly visible - unlike what it can be in reality. It's obvious when someone is letting their regret take over them, wild and untamed blossoms swallowing them whole, and when another is managing it well with pruning/trimming (self care!).

I do love the hanahaki trope, but wanted something a bit different, a bit more hopeful (and honestly there needs to be more plant-based AUs and curses 😩). The plants don't grow inside a person, only upon the outside, a bit like hair. There's no forceful way to remove them without harming your person, though. If one tries to rip the flowers out, the pain is crippling, and the blooms return doubled - kinda to show that you can't brute force healing the heart.

One will always carry regret for the past, and grief over loss. What's important is managing it, learning from it, and not using it to fall deeper into despair. Everyone deserves a chance to grow and bloom bright.

But on to the otp!! ✨✨✨

Roderich grows peonies, paired with violets, to symbolize that his grief stems from regret and wanting to ask for forgiveness for his past mistakes. He works as a psychologist specializing in helping others deal with their own blooms - using it as an excuse that he himself is making progress, but really to avoid caring for his own.

Vash grows marigolds, paired with rue, to symbolize his want to apologize for the pain he's caused in the past. He gets admitted to Roderich's clinic by his sister, and is forced to come to terms with a lot of the wordly pressure he's unfairly put on his own shoulders. He's blind to consequences of carrying the grief of others, unable to see that his own was smothering him.

And so begins the game of cat-and-mouse between him and the man who's the source of much of his grief.

I'm so happy you loved it! 💚💕🥰 I can't explain to you just how much this fic just took hold of me and kept going and going, and the different routes kept changing too. I really love how it turned out 🥰

I especially loved incorporating little things YN learned along in her adventures, such as lock picking and self defense. Dawny caring for YN was planned from the get go, but Baul appearing later on came about later. Which I love because I like to mess with him too.

"You said you would be in my future." and "You better keep that promise." lines is what drove this fic. It's what I knew I wanted to add and have it center around with YN and Lilia. Another fun fact: "I will be" and "I will." are purposely written that way, but Lilia doesn't realize exactly what that means yet and ahhhh, I just adore the little intricacies.

Meleanor being the older sibling she is and just making fun of him is hilarious. She knew he would be fine and would come back eventually. He is too stubborn to die. Lilia is trying his best not to smack talk back, he still has wounds that are almost healed after all.

I love how Levan is in the fan club. He's the one out here supporting his OTP and wants to know the whole tea, especially seeing how Lilia is obviously infatuated with this girl.

Levan was already interested in YN because of the fact that Lilia was interested in her and she 'proposed' to him like his wife did. But what really got his interest was the fact that Lilia sounded jealous.

Lilia, the wild cat, this overly arrogant fellow General. He's jealous and he's jealous of another human nonetheless. Oh, how interesting this all is.

(I can imagine Levan internally laughing his head off when he realizes the competitor for YN is the Knight of Dawn. Also, I can see Levan now think of ways this Human Vs Fae war can be stopped, so Lilia can pursue his love life 🥹😂)

you had been counting down the days. weeks, actually. being in a long distance relationship with toni fernández wasn’t easy, especially when his football schedule kept him away for long stretches. facetime calls, endless texts, voice notes, those things helped, but nothing could replace being with him in person. waking up to his sleepy smile, the warmth of his hand in yours, the comfort of just being near him. you missed it all. every single part of him.

so when you finally arranged to fly out and surprise him at his game, your heart buzzed with excitement. you spent nights going over the plan with his cousin, guille, who promised to keep everything under wraps. you’d triple checked your flights, packed your bag three times, and now, sitting in the stands, dressed in toni’s jersey, you could hardly believe you were actually here. the roar of the crowd vibrated through your bones, but all you could focus on was the figure on the field. him.

toni looked good, he always did, but there was something about seeing him in his element that made your chest tighten with pride. hair slightly messy, focus razor sharp, the number on his back like a magnet pulling you in. you found yourself grinning every time he got near the ball, heart leaping with each pass and shot. this was his world, and you were so proud to be part of it.

halftime came and went. you debated texting him, just to hear from him, but you stopped yourself. it would ruin the surprise. instead, you let yourself get lost in the atmosphere, the chants, the energy, the way strangers cheered together like old friends. it was electric.

the final whistle blew. barcelona had won, and the stadium erupted. you watched as players hugged, jumped on each other, shared grins that stretched ear to ear. toni was in the center of it, eyes crinkled with happiness, sweat soaked and radiant with that post match glow you loved so much. he started making his way toward the tunnel, exchanging high fives with fans along the way. and then…

his eyes flickered toward your section.

for a moment, he froze. like he wasn’t sure if he was seeing things right. then his gaze sharpened. his lips parted. you couldn’t hear his voice over the crowd, but you didn’t need to. you saw the way his mouth formed your name, disbelief melting into pure joy.

you waved, laughter bubbling up in your chest. his reaction was better than you’d imagined. without thinking, toni jogged over, ignoring security and the attempts to hold him back. he climbed over the barriers like a man on a mission, reaching you in seconds.

'you’re actually here,' he breathed, pulling you into his arms. his embrace was tight, grounding, everything you’d missed. he smelled like grass, sweat, and something uniquely him. your world righted itself in his hold.

'what are you doing here?' he asked, voice muffled against your hair.

'surprising you, obviously,' you said, laughing as he lifted you slightly off the ground. your cheeks hurt from smiling, but you didn’t care.

'god, i missed you,' he murmured, pulling back just enough to press his forehead against yours. his thumb brushed your cheek, eyes soft in a way that made your heart flip. 'this is, this is the best surprise.'

'figured you deserved a reward for the win,' you teased, though your voice cracked with emotion.

'trust me, this beats any trophy,' he grinned before leaning in to kiss you. it was soft, familiar, everything you’d been craving. the stadium noise faded, the world shrinking down to just the two of you. cameras clicked somewhere in the distance, but neither of you paid them any mind.

'missed you,' you whispered against his lips.

'missed you more,' he shot back without hesitation.

a chorus of cheers erupted from his teammates, guille’s voice cutting through; ‘finally! we’ve been keeping this secret for weeks!'

you pulled back, laughing. 'traitors, the lot of you.'

toni rolled his eyes fondly. 'come on, they’re dying to say hi.' he intertwined his fingers with yours, warmth seeping through every touch. 'you ready?'

'lead the way.'

the locker room was chaos, good-natured teasing, pats on the back, everyone welcoming you like family. someone handed you a beer, another draped an extra scarf around your shoulders. it felt like being swept into a whirlwind, but toni never let go of your hand, anchoring you through it all.

later, much later, you found yourselves back at his place. the adrenaline had worn off, replaced by quiet contentment. you lay tangled on the couch, his head resting against your shoulder, his fingers tracing lazy patterns on your arm.

'can’t believe you really came,' he murmured, voice thick with sleep.

'worth every second,' you replied, pressing a kiss to his hair. 'besides, someone’s gotta keep you humble.'

he huffed a laugh. 'good luck with that.'

you smiled, eyes fluttering shut. the weeks apart had been hard, but right now, with him here, warm, safe, home, it all felt like a distant memory.

'best post-match gift ever,' he whispered.

It's a double Star Trek reference. I was looking for a new username when I watched an episode of Star Trek: The Animated Series. It was an episode where part of the crew was kidnapped by space sirens. The username space-siren was already taken so I made it deep-space-siren to reference Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (my favourite Star Trek series)

Bradley had warned you to be careful. Multiple times.

It had been snowing on and off since you’d arrived in Virginia to housesit for his aunt while she was on a cruise with friends—an opportunity for a little romantic getaway, the two of you had decided—and the ground outside kept freezing as the temperatures plummeted each night. Bradley had been salting the front walkway like a madman every few hours, but he kept reminding you to be cautious any time you had to leave the house.

“It’s slippery out there, honey. Watch your step.”

And you had been watching your step. Well, mostly. Except for this morning apparently. You blamed it on your sleep-addled brain. It had been early and you were planning on taking a quick trip to the deli to pick up coffee and bagels. Instead, you had ended up on your butt right next to the car, having slipped on a patch of black ice.

Alerted by your surprised yelp of pain, Bradley had come flying out the front door like a bat out of hell, clad in nothing more than his pajama pants and the pair of boots he’d haphazardly pulled on.

After carrying you back inside and spending the better part of an hour fretting over you, terrified you’d fractured a bone or hit your head despite your numerous protestations, your husband’s worry eventually gave way to amusement. Once he was satisfied that you were truly unharmed, at least for the most part, he couldn’t help but tease you a little bit.

“I told you it was slippery out there, honey,” he murmured, a smile tugging at his lips as he carried you to the bedroom and laid you down on your stomach so that he could gently massage your behind, which was currently throbbing and probably already had a nice bruise developing. “Were you trying to go ice skating without me?”

“Ha, ha, ha,” you muttered sarcastically, wincing a little bit as Bradley’s hand moved across a particularly tender spot.

Bradley caught your expression and stopped teasing. “I’m sorry, baby. Does it hurt bad? Let me go get some ice,” he told you, starting to rise.

“Ugh, no, no more ice!” you argued, shaking your head and burying your face in your pillow in embarrassment.

“What can I do to make it better?” he asked softly, brushing your hair away from your face and pressing a kiss to your temple.

You lifted your head and thought a moment, then grinned mischievously. “Can you kiss it and make it better?”

Bradley smirked in return, his hand slipping under the waistband of your yoga pants. “Whatever helps, honey.”

favourite female character: allison <3 — for some context, if you haven't seen my Many Opinions on this show, please know that as far as 'canon' is concerned, MY canon is only season 1. so when I'm talking about the good parts, that's what I mean. — anyway, allison! she is so set aside at the start (alongside luther, sort of) because most of the siblings had their lives ruined by their powers as children. but allison? allison won the superpowers LOTTERY. so it wasn't until she was an adult that those consequences caught up to her, and as a result of that adult perspective, she handles it with such grace and maturity (even when it almost KILLS her) and she KNOWS that she needs to take on that responsibility to better herself. that she can't just blame it on her childhood and be done with it. but even when allison is trying to be better she's also, like, casually insane. she broke into the house of some guy her sibling was dating like that's a normal thing to do. so the fact that she's TRYING to be better, but she's also just as insane as the rest of them, creates this fascinating tension within her character. I just love her she's so so so complex and interesting

favourite male character: klaus! again, season 1 only, but I simply love him. it's so interesting having this character who, if he could do what he can do in the comics, would just... stop the apocalypse. like, technically, it still happens in apocalypse suite, but you know when that big chunk of moon rock flies at the earth? yeah, klaus just catches it. single-handedly. because he has telekinesis and, like, a MILLION other powers. and season 1 couldn't let that happen, because they had a PLAN (which was so good and did not come to fruition but I can see the ghost of it. I know. I know), so they gave klaus reasons for not being that overpowered - he was traumatised as a child, literally locked in a mausoleum with corpses (which is horrendous enough WITHOUT his ability to see ghosts!), and spent the rest of his life up to the start of the show trying to get rid of it via being constantly high. because he doesn't have the control to just get rid of the ghosts himself, he doesn't have that confidence and belief in himself necessary to get to that point. until! things happen! and suddenly klaus KNOWS about all this potential he has, and he WANTS it! because there's a ghost he actually WANTS to see!!!! (besides his brother, I guess, lol.) the energy around klaus's potential in season 1 is so electric, which is because they were setting him up to be the next viktor and cause the apocalypse after being seen as useless and unimportant by his family for years, thus blindsiding them with the reality that the only way to save the world is to BE A FAMILY and stop letting each other be driven to the point of a psychological break by their father's cruelty and brainwashing! they made me care so much about klaus because that was supposed to be THE POINT!!!!

worst female character & worst male character: literally anyone who was created from season 2 onwards. they're all basically original characters, which means they're not pulled from the source material (not even a twist on the source material, like dave instead of the vietnamese woman klaus had a baby with, or the little girl on the bike, or, I believe, detective patch - all of which happened in season 1, and all of which worked) - but the new people were just made up by Some Guy who essentially took over the show and ruined it, and they all SUCK they're so bad and flat and uninteresting and then they die or whatever and no one cares, and everything lila represents personally offends me. as does the very abrupt and long-lasting narrative sympathy for reginald hargreeves. that was the biggest, earliest red flag, he DRUGGED A FOUR YEAR OLD what are they DOING

This has now become a trashier, low-rent version of a mix between Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace harem wise and The Rise of the Phoenixes fight for the throne wise. It is 100% a Walmart version of those excellent dramas, but I am rolling in it because this is the amount of dog blood we haven't seen in YEARS! I don't know what the censors were on to let this through, but someone ship them more of it.

I literally started cackling at this. He is SUCH a terrible person. And it's 100% something a period royal dude would say as a consolation, you know it!

Their fights are GLORIOUS. These two are fucked up as hell and I am lapping this up. The amusing thing is I fully buy that this man loves her as much as he's capable of loving a woman. However, he's still an arrogant, borderline-psychopathic royal man with a large harem and the attitude that everyone is put on this earth to serve him.

I kept fighting the impulse to check if this drama somehow aired in 2015 and I just didn't realize it. This is AMAZING! (Points to He Liangxin for knowing spite is the best motivator.)

And then she asks to be demoted to commoner and sent away which he does as a favor to her because he knows she wants it and she spends two years plotting her revenge against his harem ladies who caused her to lose the baby etc.

And now here we are, princes are dropping left and right and meanwhile our heroine has started faking having lost her mind as part of her plan to put chief plotter against her off-guard but also to get the Prince back into her dainty little hands and make him feel not just love but guilt and pity and it is amazing. He is brushing her hair and taking care of her neglecting his duties and she is manipulating him like a fiddle pretending that her "mad self" is missing him so and loving him so and longing for him so and part of her does still want him/like him but not enough not to use the hell out of him and manipulate the hell out of him and to fuck with him like crazy and THEY ARE SO FUCKING TOXIC AND AWFUL AND I LIVE FOR THIS!!!!

She is twisting the knife like an expert.

That lady is gonna get him on the throne, become primary consort and rule his harem with an iron hand, and then party it up as the dowager once he croaks since he's way older. GOD I LOVE THIS!!!!

(I haven't seen an OTP so gloriously fucked up in a cdrama in literal YEARS! Amazing.)

Now seems like a great time to officially announce the big project I’m doing in 2025! I will be attempting the Year of the OTP challenge ( @yearoftheotpevent ), which encourages you to write twelve new fics for a ship you love over the course of the year based on the prompts for each month. Because I have so many OTPs that I’m currently insane about, I’m of course being overly ambitious with it and will attempting to write 24 fics split between three ships:

My biggest obsession currently is Psychonauts and the poly ship of Fred/Boyd/Edgar/Gloria (the Thorney Four, I call them for short), and I’ll be writing 12 fics for them, one per month.

Six of the fics will be for Zero Escape, and my favorite rarepair of Dio/Kyle. And don’t worry, because this year is all about Kylio, I will be revitalizing my longfic, Laugh with the Sinners, Cry with the Saints, and working on it whenever I have a break from the YOTP stuff.

The remaining six months, I will be writing Kaneeka/Reese, my two favorite Scarlet Hollow love interests who I ship with each other as much as if not more than with the MC. Maybe I will find somewhere to also fit in my OC who I ship with them as a poly ship, but no promises.

For the most part, I’ve planned which prompts I’ll be using already. Some choices may change (especially the Scarlet Hollow ones as the early chapter updates and release of Chapter 5 will likely give me new ideas) but there are a lot of plot bunnies here I’m already in love with. And yes, I will be using a fair few of the smut prompts (or even making something smutty from neutral prompts). I ain’t embarrassed.

So yeah that’s my announcement! The two January fics are already far along and should both be posted within the first week of the month. The only thing I have to decide is whether to put them in one series on AO3 or three separate series, one for each ship. They’ll all be going in the event collection, of course, but for my own organization, should I put my entire attempt together or do I want to make it easier for someone who, say, only cares about the Zero Escape fics to not have to comb through a bunch of Psychonauts stuff to find them?

Silco for the character ask game?

1. How I feel about this character - Silco is a great example of terrible coping mechanisms and a good villain. I like how his relationship with Jinx leans into the theme of “family isnt always blood or healthy” because they I believe that they do care about each other but that manifests in forms that are unhealthy for Jinx and dangerous for those around them. A large part of Silco’s care is supporting and protecting Jinx regardless of whatever she does and I love how the show showcases how thats not a helpful or healthy mindset! Also I like Silco as a counterpoint to Vander of freeing the Undercity but at the expense of its inhabitants and the community that Vander had lead. The villain ever. Also his dinner scene with Vi was fantastic.

2. All the people I ship with this character - I don’t ship Silco with anyone! I headcanon him as aroace bc if he isnt then why is one of his main colors green???

3. My non-romantic OTP - I’d love to see more of Silco and Sevika’s relationship! I want to know Sevika’s perspective on Shimmer and how that’s affected the Undercity. Also you can’t tell me that she and Silco weren’t gossipers.

4. My unpopular opinion on this character -Silco being horrible for Jinx and doing his best aren’t mutually exclusive takes. Silco was advising Jinx in a way that turned her into the worst version of herself because thats how he saw things and how he coped. He’s working from his own perspective and that perspective is a deeply flawed one. It doesn’t mean he didn’t care about Jinx, it makes him realistic. Idk I remember that a lot of people online took his behavior as an all or nothing about him caring for Jinx and that’s never been true. Silco cared for Jinx but he’s also Silco, for better or for worse.

5. One thing I wish would happen in canon - I wish we saw more of his plan for the Undercity once it was free. What was his plan for if/when he got what he wanted?? I also wish we saw more of him talking about Vander and how Vander had impacted him beyond the murder attempt.
