12. What struggle have they seen each other through?

there's the whole Blight, but that's a cheap answer so I will not go w that lol. okay here's one that idk if I've ever shared before, but Sidane lost their vision to an injury at the top of Fort Drakon.

(injuries/eye pain cw) a shriek was going to catch Morrigan off-guard, and Sidane just... jumped in the way. they weren't really thinking, bc if they were, they probably just would've used a magical barrier or something. but instead they panicked, and their face got clawed instead of Morrigan's head. now I'm perfectly aware that Morrigan canonically leaves after that fight if the ritual happened, buuuut it's my brain and I say that she stuck around after that, at least for a bit. it wasn't for long and might not even count for this question, tbh? but she stayed with them for a few days until they woke up, since the shriek got them badly enough that they were out of commission for the rest of the fight. Alistair was the one to get the final blow against the Archdemon.

16. How do they react when the other is upset? How do they try to help?

I won't lie to you, I feel like they're BOTH bad at this, at least initially lol. Morrigan grew up w friggin Flemeth as her role model, so I doubt she has any good examples to follow? Sidane is a liiiiittle better, since they have Jowan, their sister Perry, and best friend Ramori, so there's experience there in comforting others even if they're not the best at it. but Morrigan? nah. I feel like she doesn't know how to handle that at first, but learns as time goes on.

tbh they probably just kind of give the other space, at least in the beginning of their relationship? neither of them know what to do but don't want to make it worse, so they'll just leave the other be. but that changes when they start to fall for each other; Morrigan is a bit harder for me to pin down in how she'd comfort them, aside from spending time w them and listening to them vent. Sidane, on the other hand, tries to make Morrigan feel better by leaving a pretty flower or two in her tent, or on her things. historically they've always been a casual hook-up sort of person, they don't have experience with actual romantic feelings, but plenty of novels say that flowers are a good gift, right? they're trying. give them both some time in their relationship to not be as awkward with FEELINGS.

Josie/Rionne

23. What was their first impression of each other?

was Josie there when the Inquisitor was unconscious after popping out of the Fade? if yes, then I'd imagine she was probably curious as well as cautious? they just survived a huge disaster and they have that glowing arm now, so I think I'd feel the same way. if not, I think Josie might have thought Rionne was impressive and brave for how she'd sealed the Rift, but was also... kind of chilly? which isn't wrong, bc Rionne IS a chilly person in general - that just gets amplified when she's a Dalish mage surrounded by human Chantry members who seem to think she's a prophet for their religion. Rionne didn't enjoy her time at Haven, lbr.

on Rionne's end, she was initially suspicious (as she was with everybody), until Josephine greeted her in elvish. for Rionne, it was the first time anybody at Haven had treated her with respect; praising her for the Rift or being their Herald set her on edge at the least and irritated her at worst, because she had no choice in the former and she outright denied the latter every chance she got. so Rionne kind of decided that she had a soft spot for Josie from word go, haha.

24. How did they fall for each other?

would it be corny to say just by being themselves? 🖤 okay less corny, I think it happened just as they got to know and understand each other. they're both hardworking women who put their families (Lavellan and Montilyet) first, so much of what they do is for the people they love and there was a real solidarity that came with that. Josephine is caring and compassionate, gives Rionne cuddles while respecting her asexuality. she knows that sometimes Rionne's just going to be prickly, or not touchy-feely, and it doesn't mean that she's any less loving than she was yesterday. Rionne went out of her way multiple times to help Josephine with her family, and outright dueled somebody else so Josie wouldn't have to marry a stranger. lots of little things and big things adding up to a nice picture.

It had been snowing on and off since you’d arrived in Virginia to housesit for his aunt while she was on a cruise with friends—an opportunity for a little romantic getaway, the two of you had decided—and the ground outside kept freezing as the temperatures plummeted each night. Bradley had been salting the front walkway like a madman every few hours, but he kept reminding you to be cautious any time you had to leave the house.

“It’s slippery out there, honey. Watch your step.”

And you had been watching your step. Well, mostly. Except for this morning apparently. You blamed it on your sleep-addled brain. It had been early and you were planning on taking a quick trip to the deli to pick up coffee and bagels. Instead, you had ended up on your butt right next to the car, having slipped on a patch of black ice.

Alerted by your surprised yelp of pain, Bradley had come flying out the front door like a bat out of hell, clad in nothing more than his pajama pants and the pair of boots he’d haphazardly pulled on.

After carrying you back inside and spending the better part of an hour fretting over you, terrified you’d fractured a bone or hit your head despite your numerous protestations, your husband’s worry eventually gave way to amusement. Once he was satisfied that you were truly unharmed, at least for the most part, he couldn’t help but tease you a little bit.

“I told you it was slippery out there, honey,” he murmured, a smile tugging at his lips as he carried you to the bedroom and laid you down on your stomach so that he could gently massage your behind, which was currently throbbing and probably already had a nice bruise developing. “Were you trying to go ice skating without me?”

“Ha, ha, ha,” you muttered sarcastically, wincing a little bit as Bradley’s hand moved across a particularly tender spot.

Bradley caught your expression and stopped teasing. “I’m sorry, baby. Does it hurt bad? Let me go get some ice,” he told you, starting to rise.

“Ugh, no, no more ice!” you argued, shaking your head and burying your face in your pillow in embarrassment.

“What can I do to make it better?” he asked softly, brushing your hair away from your face and pressing a kiss to your temple.

You lifted your head and thought a moment, then grinned mischievously. “Can you kiss it and make it better?”

I'm so happy you loved it! 💚💕🥰 I can't explain to you just how much this fic just took hold of me and kept going and going, and the different routes kept changing too. I really love how it turned out 🥰

I especially loved incorporating little things YN learned along in her adventures, such as lock picking and self defense. Dawny caring for YN was planned from the get go, but Baul appearing later on came about later. Which I love because I like to mess with him too.

"You said you would be in my future." and "You better keep that promise." lines is what drove this fic. It's what I knew I wanted to add and have it center around with YN and Lilia. Another fun fact: "I will be" and "I will." are purposely written that way, but Lilia doesn't realize exactly what that means yet and ahhhh, I just adore the little intricacies.

Meleanor being the older sibling she is and just making fun of him is hilarious. She knew he would be fine and would come back eventually. He is too stubborn to die. Lilia is trying his best not to smack talk back, he still has wounds that are almost healed after all.

I love how Levan is in the fan club. He's the one out here supporting his OTP and wants to know the whole tea, especially seeing how Lilia is obviously infatuated with this girl.

Levan was already interested in YN because of the fact that Lilia was interested in her and she 'proposed' to him like his wife did. But what really got his interest was the fact that Lilia sounded jealous.

Lilia, the wild cat, this overly arrogant fellow General. He's jealous and he's jealous of another human nonetheless. Oh, how interesting this all is.

(I can imagine Levan internally laughing his head off when he realizes the competitor for YN is the Knight of Dawn. Also, I can see Levan now think of ways this Human Vs Fae war can be stopped, so Lilia can pursue his love life 🥹😂)

This has now become a trashier, low-rent version of a mix between Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace harem wise and The Rise of the Phoenixes fight for the throne wise. It is 100% a Walmart version of those excellent dramas, but I am rolling in it because this is the amount of dog blood we haven't seen in YEARS! I don't know what the censors were on to let this through, but someone ship them more of it.

I literally started cackling at this. He is SUCH a terrible person. And it's 100% something a period royal dude would say as a consolation, you know it!

Their fights are GLORIOUS. These two are fucked up as hell and I am lapping this up. The amusing thing is I fully buy that this man loves her as much as he's capable of loving a woman. However, he's still an arrogant, borderline-psychopathic royal man with a large harem and the attitude that everyone is put on this earth to serve him.

I kept fighting the impulse to check if this drama somehow aired in 2015 and I just didn't realize it. This is AMAZING! (Points to He Liangxin for knowing spite is the best motivator.)

And then she asks to be demoted to commoner and sent away which he does as a favor to her because he knows she wants it and she spends two years plotting her revenge against his harem ladies who caused her to lose the baby etc.

And now here we are, princes are dropping left and right and meanwhile our heroine has started faking having lost her mind as part of her plan to put chief plotter against her off-guard but also to get the Prince back into her dainty little hands and make him feel not just love but guilt and pity and it is amazing. He is brushing her hair and taking care of her neglecting his duties and she is manipulating him like a fiddle pretending that her "mad self" is missing him so and loving him so and longing for him so and part of her does still want him/like him but not enough not to use the hell out of him and manipulate the hell out of him and to fuck with him like crazy and THEY ARE SO FUCKING TOXIC AND AWFUL AND I LIVE FOR THIS!!!!

She is twisting the knife like an expert.

That lady is gonna get him on the throne, become primary consort and rule his harem with an iron hand, and then party it up as the dowager once he croaks since he's way older. GOD I LOVE THIS!!!!

clankie otp prompts that ran on a bit oops

1.) Who spends almost all their money on the other?

Cleo.

Which is impressive, considering her family is honest to Ra entombed in gold, but she manages. Buying things is how she grew up seeing affection done-

(RE: her parents getting her new sparklies every birthday and Nefera coming back from Scaris with MORE jewelry for her)

-so shopping sprees are the default when she first tries showering Frankie with love.

She’s more thoughtful about it than just random shinies though (she knows what it’s like to have something on your wish list for centuries and Never Get It) so it’s a lot of lab tools, weird things Frankie hasn’t seen before, and things like always getting them their fav snacks and drinks at the Coffinbean.

Frankie likes a lot of the stuff Cleo gets them, but also just bluntly says spending time with Cleo is the best

(this after Cleo spent a whole NIGHT trying to track down this one thing she KNEW Frankie would love, while Frankie sprawled on the floor all droopy and limp and pining for her).

This clicks something on in Cleo’s brain and she realizes she ALSO loves being with the monsters she cares for.

So after spending time recharging Frankie by looking at (but NOT buying) weird things on amazombie together, she drops in on Nefera, just to sit around and bug her while her older sis is doing schoolwork.

Nefera can’t believe it’s happening at first. Then she FLINGS her homework across the room so the sisters can have a good gossip session together for the first time in centuries.

2.) Who sleeps in the other’s lap?

Frankie likes falling asleep with Cleo in their lap. They just kinda drape themselves around her whenever their charge gets low, and Cleo makes sure they're securely snuggled before she settles in with her icoffin.

Frankie’s a deep sleeper, so Cleo can be as loud and giggly as she wants, BUT she keeps hush instead and shushes / death glares anyone who makes a ruckus around her monster while they sleep.

She also likes playing with Frankie’s hair without realizing it, or reach back to cuddle their cheek, just checking on them.

More intentionally, Frankie sometimes naps with their eyes open if they’re really tired (its a stasis thing). It freaks out everyone else except Cleo, who can spend a looooong time just sappily staring into their mismatched eyes.

3.) Who walks around half naked and who yells at them to put some clothes on?

Swap clothes for limbs and you have Frankie Stein, wandering around without an arm or leg or eyeball because they had a thought half way thought swapping out body parts and tots forgot what they were doing.

Cleo’s reaction is less of a yell and more of a concerned yelp when she finds Frankie’s arms stuffed between sofa cushions and runs over to find Frankie trying to fry a skillet of scary side up eggs with just their teeth.

4.) Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one does it anyway?

I think this is Cleo when she gets in party planning or scheming to take over the throne mode.

Frankie’s like, okay, but even queens need sleep right? So you’ll go to bed at some point, right? Uh-huh, Cleo says over her shoulder, absolutely getting no sleep.

Frankie enables this a little because watching Cleo get nerdy and passionate about stuff makes them all fizzy-happy inside, but they DO want Cleo to get some sleep eventually.

So Frankie learns the best way to break Cleo out of this is to just stay with her and fall asleep themselves under a snack food table or something, because Cleo WILL check on them to make sure they’re comfy, and Cleo WILL NOT be able to resist cuddling up with them. Just for a bit. A few minutes that’s all she swears.

5.) Which one tries to make food for the other but burns it all by accident and which one tells them that it’s okay and makes them both cookies.

Cleo loves all the homemade stuff Frankie gives them, so as part of her exploring other ways of showing affection that Don’t involve gold and gems, she tries making paincakes.

Pain def happens. The cakes? Not so much. Not even Cleo’s beetle babies can salvage a batter bowl once Cleo gets her hands on it.

Frankie finds the mess really impressive (once they’ve hosed things down with their fire extinguisher attachment, specially built after Cleo started taking an interest in cooking) and, as a monster who eats other monster’s popcorn off of theater floors, the taste of char is kinda yummy to them actually.

Them and Cleo make cookies together afterwards mostly just for the fun of it (and so Cleo can have something to snack on too).

6.) Which one reads OTP prompts and says “Oh that’s us!” and which one goes “Eh, not really”?

Frankie’s very literal. Unless the prompt is something they and Cleo have SPECIFICALLY done, they are just a flat Nope We Haven’t, sometimes then followed with a thoughtful and worrying Yet.

Cleo, meanwhile, is so enamored with Frankie as her gallant protector she REFUSES to accept she’s actually an angry Smol protecting her Tol. She’s not yelling at people for upsetting Frankie- It’s just called saying THE TRUTH, which is that the person should be ashamed and if they are not then she will Curse Them.

7.) Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes?

We all know Frankie is never getting that varsity jacket back once Cleo gets her hands on it.

Though it’s more like, Frankie drapes it over her shoulders once because Cleo felt a chill (she was hoping for a hug or a snuggle) and saw how cool Cleo looked in it, and how much she liked wearing it, and it made Frankie shoot off sparks for the rest of the day.

So. Even though it does NOT go with Cleo’s carefully selected and matched royal regalia outfit (even more classy than Nefera's)… yeah. She starts wearing the jacket A Lot. And, snuggling with it.

Friends try teasing her about it but she’s immune because she is WEARING FRANKIE’S JACKET HELLO???

8.) Which one spends the day running errands and which one says “You remembered [thing], right?”

Frankie loves running errands. Frankie almost NEVER comes back with what they set out to actually get on said errands.

Cleo checks in with them via text, or just tags along, because she always makes lists and loves checking them twice. And this way maybe Frankie makes it back with the copper tubing they wanted instead of a giant scorpion plushy.

9.) Which one drives the car and which one gives them directions?

As per @bluebelleisabelle‘s idea, Frankie behind the wheel of a car isn’t a good idea do to potential brain bit memories distracting them at bad moments, so Cleo works hard to get a license (the first one in her ENTIRE family) just to drive them around (Drac helped her learn and it was an Experience).

Frankie is in charge of the map and does a good imitation of a car GPS (global positioning scream).

Sometimes their brain bits remind them of a shortcut- sometimes the shortcut is still there, and sometimes they’re remembering a donkey track that got built over a hundred years ago. No matter how many times it turns out to be the latter, Cleo's never stops trusting them or making sudden U-turns on command.

Its always an adventure to get in the car with Cleo and Frankie! Which is why most of their other friends Don’t.

10.) Which one does the posing while the other one draws?

Cleo would LOVE posing, Frankie would LOVE to see her do it, but it’s probably more of a scrap metal sculpture done with loud as heck hacksaws and torches than soft romantic drawing thing.

At least plenty of sparks would fly, though.

And Cleo would probably install the sculpture in pride of place in her section of the family tomb, much to the confusion of later visitors.

11.) If they were about to rob a museum, which one does backflips through lasers and which one is strolling behind with a bag of chips?

Okay so Cleo legit in the first episode lowered herself from the ceiling like a character from a heist film- AND she likes planning stuff.

Less backflips, more cunning doges and precision crawling under the camera’s blind spots. It’s awkward, not elegant, but she’s got this, she knows what to do and how to do it. She’s, almost there-  

Frankie, thanks to their ballet brain bit, is pirouetting freely around security in the background. Until they spot someone’s gum on the floor. And reach for it. And reach right into a laser trip wire and- oh zaps- RA HAVE MERCY- sorry cleo! do wanna split the gum with me-? FRANKIE QUICK OVERLOAD THE SYSTEM- oh uh right um-

Clawdeen and Drac don’t even look up they just sigh as Clawdeen grabs a spare pair of ski masks and Draculaura fetches the keys to her dad’s fastest stunt car.

Listen. I’m not saying Frankie sees a human car for the first time (Cladween’s dad’s car??? powered by LIQUIFIED DEAD THINGS???) and instantly tries a sip of something they shouldn’t have, and then likes it so much they keep trying to go back for more-

But I AM saying that Cleo would NOT want her precious monster getting poisoned, and would skip out on learning more about the human world to keep dragging Frankie away from the car- one body part at a time if necessary- and then hold their hair back when they get sick in the storm drain an hour later.

It’s just what ghoulfriends are for, sometimes.

13.) Which one likes to surprise the other with a lot of small random gifts?

Cleo cannot open her locker without there being some little origami note or flower or baked treat inside from Frankie.

No matter how tired or dispirited she is after a long day of still not getting any new followers or popularity after organizing the last school function, the little surprises from her monster always make her smile.

Maybe not too many others in school think about Cleo De Nile on a daily basis. But Frankie does. Always.

14.) Which one keeps accidentally using the other’s last name instead of their own?

Clawdeen joked once “Frankie, when it comes to your feelings for Cleo? Frankly, you’re in DE NILE!” once and “Frankie De Nile” has been rattling around Frankie’s brain every since.

It pops out sometimes. Cleo thinks it’s so cute.

They both died a little inside tho when Frankie met her parents and introduced themself and… well….  

Frankie brought out the brain getter out two-thousand again after THAT little memory got created (Cleo had to call in Clawdeen and Draculaura as reinforcements to get the plunger away from them)

15.) Which one screams about the spider and which one brings the spider outside?

Beetles? Cleo loves beetle babies

Any other bug? Cleo is screaming. Cleo is running. Cleo is climbing Frankie like a ghoul’s damn tree and shrieking for them to KILL IT KILL IT AAAAHH!!!

Frankie picks the spider up in their bare hands and takes it outside

(only after looking at it very closely for FAR TOO LONG in Cleo’s opinion. No Cleo will not climb down form off of Frankie if being near the spider creeps her out this much. Clinging to Frankie’s back is the safest place she knows and more importantly it's HERS and NO she is NOT giving it up to a SPIDER)

So I said Frankie earlier, but now I’m thinking- there’s no way Cleo doesn’t have a fancy, snazzy royal jacket stuffed in a closet somewhere, maybe kept for formal occasions.

And Frankie? Wearing her colors?? Is it even possible Cleo could RESIST that idea?

I think not.

Absolutely they go on dates wearing each other’s jackets.

Cleo takes a million selfies of them, and gets increasingly frantic comments from Nefera wondering why someone else is wearing the family regalia Cleo, Cleo mummy and baba follow your social media if they see this they are going to Get Ideas and Start Planning and, Cleo, stop giggling with Frankie for a sec you do NOT want mummy and baba Planning Things- Cleo? CLEO! BY HATHOR PLEASE CHECK YOUR MESSAGES. I CAN ONLY SPAM CUTE BABY SCORPIAN PICS AS A SHIELD FOR SO LONG!!!! D:

17.) Who keeps getting threatened by the other’s overprotective older sibling?

Nefera would never, and Frankie’s too much of a sweetie, so Cleo doesn’t worry about that too much.

Until Clawdeen and Draculaura drag her into the lab one day start explaining Exactly how long hypothetic mummy would last if she hypothetically made a werewolf and vampire upset by hypothetically breaking their franken friend’s heart. Hypothetically.

Cleo listens in shock and then rates them an ehhhhh 7/10. Could have been more detailed. Not quite as much passion in the threats as Cleo would have hoped for. Maybe try again somtime?

Next time, they bring Lagoona.

(Meanwhile Nefera and Frankie have a lovely chat at the coffinbean over gutshakes and Nefera cheerfully tells them she can completely disembowel and dismember a body in less a minute but Frankie won’t make Cleo unhappy and will never have to worry about that~)

(Frankie thinks about this all day, finally confessing to Cleo she’d really like to be autopsied by Nefera, but NEVER if the only way is by upsetting Cleo.)

18.) Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other?

Oh Frankie’s been feeling them longer, and they’re the kind of monster to examine each new feeling with great interest as an when they first appear, so they’d def KNOW about their feels first. And they seemed pretty, hrm, direct and unabashed about it in Horoscare. That held eye contact and little head tilt at the end… oh they WANTED Cleo to notice their little spark, notice them noticing it, and check her reaction to all that…

But. They also get anxious and shy easily when it comes to interpersonal stuff. Unsure.

I can see them being chill about the feels until they start gathering more data about it, then starting to freak out a little. Because where there’s parameters and social norms, there’s things they can get wrong, wrong with CLEO and-

They REALLY don’t like risking pushing any of their friends away with their feels (re: crushed and what’s up watzie) even if it makes them sad.

So, smooth as they’ve been, I can see them choking up when I comes to actually out loud admitting it.  

Who actually SAYS it first?

Probably bc Frankie was doing everything EXCEPT saying “Hey! I have a crush on you!! wanna date?” and getting all frazzled about it, and miss high level emotional regulation Cleo looks at her poor precious rambling monster and goes

“Frankie Stein? Would you, ah-hem, like to go out sometime? You know. As like, friends but also… more?”

Frankie’s ecstatic “ohmyzaps YES!!!” causes a school-wide power outage.

19.) How good would your OTP be at parenting?

I have head canon-ed them a scarab swarm child and they would be very worn out and overwhelmed but also great at it.

Cleo is all “who’s a little bug baby? who is it?? You! Yes!! You are!!!!” while Frankie’s reading a giant monster’s guide to parenting monstrosities like

“okay so routines are good and consistency is good and explaining stuff is good and beware of the flesh-threshing threes, and- Reading about all this is kinda boring, actually. I don’t know what the flesh-threshing threes are, but I wanna make those traumatic memories together, as a family! Now who wants to start a pre bedtime eyescream ritual?”

The bug baby grows up with a great relationship with them bc both mummy Cleo and themmy Frankie are very open about emotions and admitting when they’re wrong and figuring out your own identity, and also lots and lots of hugs.

Canon Cleo legit SPEAKS in brb and such. She’s def typing “can’t w8 2 c u QT <3 <3” at Frankie and Frankie def spends so long trying to decode the message that Cleo ends up having to come looking for them in codes and foreign languages section of the library.

(Twyla tried to help but also had no idea and the two got so wrapped up learning about morse code they forgot to ask Manny the puzzle wiz)   

21.) Who gets attacked by a bully and who protects them?

Toralei finds her first grey hair on her tail the day she’s mean to Frankie in front of Cleo.

(canon Frankie also saved Cleo from Toralei, by actually carrying her away from the werecat’s attack, but they’re better at the whole whisking away from danger than they are picking up on and countering social stuff)

(Cleo makes sure anyone who thinks that’s an invitation to bully Frankie learns the flaw inherent to their logic. In the most traumatizing way possible, preferably.)

22.) Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun?

Cleo makes terrible puns IN CANON and Frankie laughs at them so fucking stupidly im sorry they know the pun is terrible but Cleo said it and they can’t help themselves.

The laughter only gets louder and longer and more delighted over time, which only encourages Cleo to come up with worse and worse ones,  and all of their friends (except Clawdeen) are in PAIN.

23.) Who comes home from work to see that the other one bought a puppy?

So. Frankie did kinda in canon adopt the first puppy they saw and brought it home with them.

BUT! Cleo has no control or resistance to cute things in need of help (re frankie), and I can really see her hiding a new puppy behind her back like

“Oh hey Frankie! You’ll NEVER in a THOUSAND YEARS guess what I totally thought really long and hard about before bringing home with me!” and Frankie just tilts their heads and points “is it something to do with the happy wagging tail of a dog? Or did you just get that for yourself?” “IT IS IN FACT…… OUR NEW DOG!” “Oh wow! Good job hiding it Cleo, you’re right! I never would’ve guessed!”

Cleo is never able to hide it for more than a few seconds and Frankie is always impressed with her sneakiness (and the dog)

Frankie to Cleo, full stop. Cleo wraps her arms around the tall monster’s shoulders with her organ bag in front of them, and Frankie lifts her like she’s nothing (remember the boulder? Yeah. Frankie lifts)

There’s at least one scary moment though when Frankie runs low on charge and Cleo’s so frightened of them wearing that little last bit out with walking that she INSISTS on carrying Frankie the rest of the way, no matter how awkward, hard, or silly it looks.

25.) Which one competes in some sort of activity and which one does the overzealous cheering?

Oh they both can get into it and both cheer like there’s no tomorrow (Cleo's getting good at catching Frankie's limbs when they go flying off at random, or having her beetle babies fetch them if she's not fast enough). The energy these two have together is Intense.

Ra help you if they ever complete against you as a team, or cheer for the person you’re competing against.

They may not win. But you WILL be terrified the entire time they're working against you.

26.) Who takes a selfie when the other one falls asleep on their shoulder?

Cleo is steadily heading towards a solid MILLION pics of her with Frankie napping on her shoulder. The ones where Frankie is making weird faces and snoring are her favs.

(Frankie doesn’t take pics- they know how sensitive Cleo is to embarrassing pics after her fearbook photos- but they have sleeping Cleo’s face etched into their brain and sometimes absentmindedly doodle a cross hatch sketch of her so lifelike people who glimpse it think it’s a pic with a filter on it at first. Then frankie erases it at light speed before any incriminating evidence of Adorable Sleeping Cleo can be gathered)

It’s mainly the Judgement of Cleo’s pets that Frankie fears, but yeah, they’re absolutely terrified.

Frankie has an arm-brella prosthetic and brings it out on romantic dates in the thunderstorms.

Cleo always groans when they get back and she see’s Frankie’s other arm and shoulder are soaked AGAIN  bc they wanted to make sure the umbrella covered Cleo completely, even if it meant getting a bit wet themselves. She punishes Frankie for this with a smooch, which really has the opposite effect <3  

30.) If your OTP went on vacation, where would they go and what would they do? Who would take the pictures?

They would go. Everywhere.

But the highlight for Frankie would be Japan, to finally try some homemade wormen just like Kuma always raves about, and Cleo’s family home in Egypt, bc Cleo really loves it and loves showing it off and Frankie loves when she gets all excited about stuff.

For Cleo, visiting various places in Europe and listening as Frankie’s brain bits spark up this or that tidbit of gossip from their past lives would be a Treat, by FAR the most fun she’s ever had traveling.

Cloe takes pics of Frankie posing with or trying out all the tourist trap usuals. Especially the cliché ones.

Frankie takes candid shots of Cleo handling their passports and tickets and checking time tables and happily reorganizing their itinerary at various unmentionable bus stops or train stations...

Sometimes (a lot of times) there's an iconic landmark blurry and out of focus in the background when they take pics of her

why do you ship neuvifuri? /g this ship is just lost on me because i didn’t read any of their interactions as romantic — i just wanna understand why it’s such a popular ship 😭😭😭

Hii okay so I don't usually like 'defending' my otp but because you seem to genuinely want to know I'll answer. But I'm also curious if you ship anyone in Fontaine because none of them had any romantic interactions. Least of all Neuvillette. But anyway, the following are my own opinions and I can't say if everyone else sees them the same way.

I put off doing Fontaine questline for months, because I had lost interest in Genshin so I missed all fandom reactions etc, I don't know how popular whatever ships are. When I finally played it, I was neutral about things until the final archon quest. When that Focalors cutscene happened with Neuvillette, my eyes kinda opened. I shipped them first before Neuvifuri. His openly shocked/upset/devastated reactions to her were something new, since he hardly emoted before and we hadn't really seen his feelings. And the way he talked about Furina to Focalors, with so much concern and care for her because she's only human with such a huge burden. So then I went on my other account and replayed the whole questline to record it for gifs, because I'd fallen in love with Furina and her story.

They ruled Fontaine together for 400 years. Furina called Neuvillette to serve as the Iudex (though it was Focalors' idea), and Furina taught him to love humanity and open himself up to people. He's like her familiar the way Dvalin is Venti's and Yae Miko is Ei's. Whether it's platonic or romantic, they're each other's most important person and they love and care for each other. In the AQ, Neuvillette becomes increasingly frustrated with Furina because she isn't letting him in and is being secretive. Yet he keeps closing his eyes (literally, in some cases) to Furina's pain, like he's done for hundreds of years.

Neuvillette is enchanted by Furina's performances on stage, and wanted her to return there in Furina's story quest, and said his appreciation of her was always genuine and he wishes she knew that. Even in his voice line about her he says if she were to return to the stage, he would attend the performance and give her his heartfelt applause.

He gave her a special vision, possibly the first vision since he gained his full powers. If you look closer, it has dragon claws on it.

In the AQ, Furina fooling the heavenly principles wouldn't have worked without Neuvillette. He forgave the people of Fontaine and together they prevented the prophecy. Even though it was all Focalor's plan, and Furina did the hardest part, if Furina hadn't made Neuvillette care for the people it wouldn't have worked.

Immediately after the AQ when Furina had to leave Palais Mermonia, he got her a new apartment, and he said he will provide her with food, clothing, travel, whatever she wants. Meanwhile Furina's voice lines say it's been a while since she went to the Palais and that she thinks it's better for the both of them. Ouch. She's even avoiding him in Liyue.

There's insane angst and potential for a tragic ship. Furina lied to him for centuries, and now thinks it's better if they don't meet. She was incredibly lonely yet she couldn't confide in him, her closest friend. She's now mortal as well, whereas Neuvillette is a dragon. So she can actually get hurt, and die.

Plus they're beautiful together. They have matching color schemes, height difference, they have amazing synergy in combat. Their in-game abilities complement each other. Like they were made for each other.

There's so much to unpack here. Kishimoto showed over and over again that Sakura does not care about Sasuke as a person nor what he wants.

Sakura making Sasuke's revenge about her and Sasuke noticing it.

2. Sakura noticing her tactics don't work and doing a full 180 on her arguments, because Sasuke's well-being isn't what's important to her, but that Sasuke is with her. She's being totally irrational here.

So, Sakura did not care what Sasuke wanted or what was good for him at this point of the story.

3. Instead of bothering to find out WHY Sasuke was suddenly acting the way he was, she comes up with this brilliant plan /sarcasm/ where she lies to Naruto that she likes him to get him to stop chasing Sasuke, drugs her comrades and leaves them unconscious in the forest, and tries to stab Sasuke with a poisoned kunai. Twice.

4. She heard "the truth about Itachi" and heard Sasuke yelling about how Konoha is responsible for his misery but she never once bothered to ask anyone present what was that all about. Because her main concern was always just to get into Sasuke's pants. That's her defining character trait, and that's how she is written. And you guys think she would be revolutionary hahaha.

5. Sasuke gave a speech on how he wants CHANGE and despite witnessing all this Sakura decided to start screaming how much she loves him and if he stays with her things can go back to the way they were! Literally where do you see this girl care about what Sasuke wants? Even the most simple stuff she doesn't understand. It's spelled out to her and she doesn't listen.

6. Despite Sasuke wanting to travel alone and think about things, Sakura chased after him because she was thirsty. And no amount of either rude or polite rejections will stop her.

7. Sasuke made it very clear it's only Naruto he cares about deeply. Sakura won't affect his loneliness.

You can make all headcanons you want how Sasuke would change his opinion of Sakura but Kishimoto wrote him to have a negative opinion of her in the end, and he wrote Sakura as a shallow and selfish person. Sasuke gave her a chance in part 1, but noticed she won't change from her shallow ways. That's why the "you're annoying" keeps coming. Because she is annoying and ignorant and doesn't care what Sasuke tells her. Sasuke is shown to be perceptive countless times in the story, and his judgement of Sakura was correct as well.

P.S. Please don't compare Darcy and Sakura. That's an insult to Darcy and Jane Austen lol.

Silco for the character ask game?

1. How I feel about this character - Silco is a great example of terrible coping mechanisms and a good villain. I like how his relationship with Jinx leans into the theme of “family isnt always blood or healthy” because they I believe that they do care about each other but that manifests in forms that are unhealthy for Jinx and dangerous for those around them. A large part of Silco’s care is supporting and protecting Jinx regardless of whatever she does and I love how the show showcases how thats not a helpful or healthy mindset! Also I like Silco as a counterpoint to Vander of freeing the Undercity but at the expense of its inhabitants and the community that Vander had lead. The villain ever. Also his dinner scene with Vi was fantastic.

2. All the people I ship with this character - I don’t ship Silco with anyone! I headcanon him as aroace bc if he isnt then why is one of his main colors green???

3. My non-romantic OTP - I’d love to see more of Silco and Sevika’s relationship! I want to know Sevika’s perspective on Shimmer and how that’s affected the Undercity. Also you can’t tell me that she and Silco weren’t gossipers.

4. My unpopular opinion on this character -Silco being horrible for Jinx and doing his best aren’t mutually exclusive takes. Silco was advising Jinx in a way that turned her into the worst version of herself because thats how he saw things and how he coped. He’s working from his own perspective and that perspective is a deeply flawed one. It doesn’t mean he didn’t care about Jinx, it makes him realistic. Idk I remember that a lot of people online took his behavior as an all or nothing about him caring for Jinx and that’s never been true. Silco cared for Jinx but he’s also Silco, for better or for worse.

5. One thing I wish would happen in canon - I wish we saw more of his plan for the Undercity once it was free. What was his plan for if/when he got what he wanted?? I also wish we saw more of him talking about Vander and how Vander had impacted him beyond the murder attempt.

Good morning Happy Weekend :) Our ship is back together in this episode and what a come back it is. I keep saying how each ep is so good its because it is ha S2 doesn't disappoint for moments. Let's get started.

2x08 Clean Cut

We first see our beautiful OTP getting ready for the day. Tim and Jackson are being recognized for helping that family last ep. Lucy telling Tim his accommodation is a big deal. Tim being his self deprecating self is thinking it’s not. He’s out of his damn mind if he thinks she’s not going to make a big deal out of this. Lucy couldn’t be prouder of him for this. I could see her beaming as Jackson tells her the story.

Lucy telling him she’s planned her emotional day around it is too cute. It's the most important part of her day. I love them so much. Tim continues to lessen what he did. Saying it’s not why he does this job. Ok honey she’s not buying that for one second. Their banter is the best. Lucy is of course is going to give him crap for his lack luster excitement. She wants him to be a little more excited about this.

You know he’s proud but just won’t acknowledge it let alone let Lucy do so. Oh Tim. Can't say I don’t relate to Tim with this. No doubt he wasn't given words of affirmation growing up. So when he does receive them he deflects it. Because he either doesn't believe he deserves it or just can't handle when it is genuine. (Like from Lucy and all her sunshine proudness) I'm the same way. I too didn't get those growing up. So getting them is hard to process or accept.

With Lucy making a big deal of it he can't process it so he deflects that feeling instead. Lucy calls his bluff tells him to turn it down then. Tim freezes then says it doesn’t matter to him (Lying liar who lies) but it matters to the higher ups. Says if he scores well in his exam plus the award it could rise him in the ranks faster. Lucy lets it go for now replies fair enough.

We rejoin them them in their shop. Lucy asks if Tim invited Rachel to his award. He says no and reminds her it’s not a big thing. Lucy calls him on it says she was busy wasn’t she? He caves and says out of town... They cute. They’re having a good time till Tim doesn’t see brake lights in front of him. Then their whole day changes in an instant.

The look of worry all over Lucy’s face when she see’s Tim is bleeding. Looks like she wants to reach out but doesn't. He disregards his nose and asks if she’s ok. He's more worried about her. Ugh my heart. You know him crashing is going to shake him alone. Crashing a car with Lucy in it only makes it so much worse. He thinks he’s endangered her on top of everything else. Tim calls it in and lets them know a city vehicle is involved.

Doesn’t take long for their crash to be swarming with cops. Lucy is surprised at how many are here. Tim tells her how serious this is. Officer involved accidents are anything but good. His body language is all anxiety. He’s trying to keep it in but he’s worried. He’s never been very good at hiding his true emotions from Lucy.

The Sargent running the scene comes up and is cavalier. Telling them Tim is getting a day at the beach. Lucy is beyond confused about what this means. Tim explains what the off handed comment means. You can see the stress coming off him in waves. We all know how Tim needs his control and now it’s out of his hands. He’s listing off all the ways he could be disciplined. All the joking and 'not caring' about his award is out the window now. The only thing left is his disappointment and shock.

Lucy’s face in that gif above ugh my heart. Her eyes alone showing all the empathy she is carrying for him. She doesn’t want him to feel this way. To feel like taking the exam is useless now. It’s written all over her face she wants to fix this. To save him from whatever is headed his way about this. It’s killing her to see him so defeated.

Lucy knows he’s beating himself up ten fold over this. You can see her wanting to protect him from this whole thing. All she wants to do is make it better. Tim is thinking all his hard work is going to go down the drain before his eyes. That all he can do is wait and watch it happen. Lucy can't stand the fact he's defeated right out the gate. Its all over her body language how much she wants to rectify this for him.

Tim’s face kills me when Grey pulls up and asks what happened. He’s in a state of shock as he’s explaining. He looks so sad. Grey says he should sit out the ceremony. Tim makes a morose joke the deputy director won’t want to give an officer facing demotion a plaque…Lucy looks just as sad as him. We all know this award meant more to him than he was leading on. It's being ripped away from him now.

Harper advises Tim to get checked at hospital for liability reasons. He looks so beat but says thanks. He’s clearly upset and lost by the end of the scene. Lucy tells him how sorry she is. It’s coming off him in waves. Tim tries to compartmentalize. Tells Lucy to get their shop back to the garage then meet him at the hospital with their new one. She looks like she wants to say more but doesn't. That anxious need to fix this for him is seeping out of every pore in her body.

Poor Tim is at the hospital by himself. He sees Lopez for a second but she’s looking after a high af Jackson LOL You can tell he wants to talk. Jackson wanders off and Angela has to follow leaving him standing there. Dr Sawyer tells Tim, Sarah the driver is ok and that she asked about him. Then he is cleared and goes to talk to the driver. She seems like she just wants to let it go. Let the city pay for everything and move on. Her BF is a little more intense. Saying they’re gonna sue. Flying off the handle when Sarah is trying to just be done with it. Alarm bells are going off for Tim with this guy. He just doesn’t know why. So he walks away from the situation telling her he hopes she feels better soon.

Lucy arrives at the garage and the Sargent that was at the scene is there. Calls her little lady (first mistake my friend…) Lucy shakes it off and says she was the one with her T.O. and the accident. He continues to be an ass and says 'Oh beach boy...yeah he’s screwed.' It’s like this guy wanted to have his head ripped off by her I swear. She’s already anxious from how he’s feeling, with no way to currently make it better.

He’s poking an angry bear and has no idea what he’s in for. Lucy is aghast with his finality about the situation. Questions him and ask if he’s even checked out the other car yet. He tells her not yet. Lucy tells him she doesn’t remember seeing brake lights from that woman’s car. The Sargent continues his condescending tone and says ‘uh huh…’ Lucy then asks him if he can check. He is dismissive and says when he has time. That’s when the wrath of Lucy Chen comes raining down on this man. LOL

There is a great line from Castle that fits this. It's from one of my favorite episodes. Where the baddie is caught by Beckett and he says he was told about hell raining down on him if he was caught by her. Then says "He said something about hell raining down on me. Never imagined hell would look like you." That's how I feel about this scene. How this guy had no idea the hell that was going to rain down on him by not helping Lucy with Tim's situation. I am sure he wasn't expecting that day if he was going to get his ass handed to him it would be by her. Amazing.

Lucy is already irritated with the entire situation. She is also feeling a lack of control. Then she comes here trying to help Tim and gets this dismissive schmuck. She was ready to fight before this guys rude attitude. This only lit that fire from a flame to an inferno and he was in her path. I love how she completely destroys him. How fiercely she defends Tim to this man she doesn’t even know.

Refuses to let this be the end of it. She’s going to make him look at that other car even if she has his drag his ass over there to do it. Lucy calling this guy out on his macho BS. God I love her resilience in the face of stuff like this. Lucy is so wrapped up in passionately defending Tim she forgets she’s speaking to a senior officer the ‘sir’ and respectful posture at the end. Classic.

The best part is he listens. I think he respected her for standing up to him and calling him on his crap. The Lucy Chen effect haha This wouldn’t be the first time she’s chewed out a superior officer for him. She did the same thing back in 1x16 with Detective Murphy. No one kicks Tim while he’s already down superior officer or not in her presence. I love watching her defend and protect him.

They go to check out the car and the brake lights were pulled. Lucy asks if this could've happened during the accident. He says no they were pulled on purpose. So our girl was right. Gotta love it. She asks why this person would do this? He tells her insurances scams. He sees it all the time. Tells her maybe your T.O. isn’t screwed after all. Lucy relaxes visibly and the claws get put away. They find extra stuff in the trunk. Chemicals that are used to cook meth or set fires. Tim’s gut from earlier coming true about these people.

Lucy makes it back to hospital to tell Tim the good news. That the brake lights were disconnected. The relief on Tim’s face when she tells him is immense. She also tells him about the arson materials they found in the trunk as well. They go to confront Sarah. Tim has his confidence and swagger back. Not as defeated as before. You can see it in his stance while they're in Sarah's room.

They tell her they know her car was rigged and the materials they found in her car. She gets testy and a tad defensive. She then tries to say car isn’t hers. Tim goes on offensive and says is it your boyfriends? The one who wanted to sue me? She doesn’t reply. They get his name off her contact sheet ‘ Mike Garvey’ and he’s next.

First off I love that he trusts her enough to do this interrogation alone. It makes sense she would do it solo. He doesn't know she was with him. I just adore him not even thinking about it. Knowing she can handle this all on her own. Lucy doesn’t question it for one second. Just does this for him on his behalf because that’s what partners do. Right now she will do anything to get him out of the hole he’s in. They just need to get this guy to crack and they're golden. I do love how he paces watching it. Ready to pounce on this guy if he does anything.

Mike is instantly defensive with Lucy. Could not be more guilty. He tries to get under Lucy’s skin and tell her Tim should be fired. She won’t even make eye contact with him cause she will eat him if she does LOL Straight up lies when Lucy asks if he ever uses her car. Lucy goes right at him. Saying he didn’t disconnect her taillights for insurance fraud? He lies again says nope. Lucy brings up his past of being convicted of fraud.

That’s the last straw and he storms out and Tim follows him out. Mike goes off saying how he’s going to sue him and whole dept. Tim confidently (also very sexy btw) comes up to him. Says if he can only afford one retainer he should go for a criminal one. *fans self* God I love me some confident Tim. Phew lord. Mike takes off. Lucy apologizes for not getting more out of him. Tim says not to be the point was to wind him up. Send him back to Sarah wind her up and see who breaks first. Look at that sexy stance. He knows he'll have him dead to rights soon enough.

They go to see Sarah tell her to make a deal. She’ll wanna be first one on this. She agrees. Sarah tells them she was about to leave him. That she was using the car to get suitcases. She had no idea about the brake lights. Lucy asks why she’s leaving him? She tells them he's going over the edge. Used to just be insurance scams for money or arson scams but now it’s worse. She says he’s agreed to kill a man’s wife for cut off the life insurance policy. What a prince… Tells them she know it’s going down today.

Lucy gets to do another mini UC as the potential wife. They easily catch Mike and Tim gets to be the one to stop him. Sweet karma you putz. I think he enjoyed shouting instructions at this ass-hat to get him to surrender. I know I did haha Tim is cheeky and can’t let the wig go and makes a comment to Lucy about it. Her face I’m dying LMAO Even in the middle of an arrest the work flirts find their way in.

Lucy is so so proud of Tim and his accommodation. She is in wifey mode 100% and there is no stopping her with the pics and pride. Claiming they’re ‘For Rachel’ Sure they are Lucy.... Whatever you need to tell yourself. Tim is trying to make sure she doesn’t add it to her Home Screen haha They’re so cute I can't stand it. Also little bit of payback when he took all those pics of her last season when she fell asleep haha Parallels galore in this ending scene.

The look on his face when she shows him the lock screen hehe he’s so used to her shenanigans at this point. Doesn't even fight it. Tim has gone from annoyance to adoration though. It makes me so giddy.(The growth *heart clutch*) Look at that sheepish smile. He’s so cute and flustered by her attention and affection for him. Girl isn't hiding how she feels about this one bit. That reverence she has for him It's inevitable at this point and he's accepting it slowly. Another crack grows, carving out a piece of that wall of his. It hits the ground and shatters.

He then gets serious. Tim is very aware he wouldn't be standing here without her. That she fought and clawed to save his career. I love him for thanking her. The absolute growth in him for doing so. We get two special growth moments in this scene. Makes my shipper heart so damn happy. Recognizing what she did for him today. Verbalizing it the best way he can. He's still working on this particular skill with her. He’s in awe that she did that for him. It shows in how he tries to thank her. He's stumbling on his words to get it out.

She relieves him of his flustered thankfulness by throwing his line back at him. The most beautiful thing about this moment is the parallels to when Tim saved hers. Lucy didn’t even think for two seconds before going and doing everything she could to save his career. Just like he did in Plain Clothes Day and The Checklist from last season. Refusing to let this be the end of his path to Sargent. Her way of thanking him for all that he’s done for her. Also she didn’t record that audio book for nothing LOL

The lengths these two go for one another astounds me. Her doing this was letting him know she has his back just as much as he has hers. This is the kind of stuff that built the amazing couple we get in s5. The beautiful base they build along the way is rock solid. These are the moments that get us there.

Honestly Lucy throwing back his doing my job line. My heart. The work flirts make my heart so happy. He can’t even fight the smile on his face. She saved his career and used his own words against him. He’s falling in love and has no idea about it. So smitten with one another not ready for that to be more just yet. The underlying chemistry and attraction was always there though.

How can two people exude so much chemistry just sitting next to one another? All they’re doing is drinking beer and yet. They look so married in this scene. Like they're already a couple just celebrating with their friends. Let’s also note how much room there is on that bench. Yet they’re within inches of each other. Their love affair with being anti personal-space continues. I’m here for it all damn day. Look at how in-sync they are in both those gifs. The physical chemistry between these two long before they were together blows my mind. I love them so much.

33. How do they flirt? Who’s the worse flirt?

I think this one probably depends on personal tastes, haha. Sidane has always been a charmer and a flirt, and had several short-lived relationships and flings when they were in the Circle, so they definitely know how to flirt and charm. Morrigan's none too shabby herself, though? they're both coy, while Morrigan tends to cut to the chase after a bit whereas Sidane enjoys drawing out flirting and laying down the charm. if that makes any sense at all, haha.

46. Do they consider their relationship casual or serious? Is the answer different depending on who you ask? Why?

those two were so in denial of their relationship turning serious, even when it was apparent to everybody else that there was more going on between them than sex lol. they're both scared of love, so it takes almost the entirety of the Blight to get them to admit they have feelings for each other. I'm pretty sure if you asked either of them, the answer would be the same - it's just casual sex, nothing more to it than that.

Sidane was the one to come to terms with it and accept that they were in love first, roughly around when Morrigan told them about what she found in the grimoire. the idea of Morrigan dying or getting hurt horrified them, and the situation kind of forced Sidane to finally accept what they were feeling emotionally.

28. Who’s the better chef? Do they cook for the other?

definitely not Meg, who came from the streets and then enlisted in the military at 18. she can do some simple stuff, like making sandwiches, but anything beyond that she just doesn't have the experience with. Ashley, on the other hand, I could see her cooking with her family growing up and being pretty decent in the kitchen! I imagine them cooking for each other isn't really an option until the war's over (military rations and all), but when they are able to be more domestic, they prefer to cook together. it's one of the little things that Meg didn't have a family to do with when she was growing up, and both she and Ashley want to make up for those lost experiences together.

48. Do they talk about their future together? Why or why not?

in the time frame of ME1, I don't think they would have? Meg was trying to deny her feelings for Ashley to herself up until Virmire - she's strict with following the rules and fraternization so breaks the rules. they were starting to discuss things with each other after Saren's death and decide what they wanted to do, since they value both each other and their careers, but well. the Collectors made this one a bit of a moot point.

they don't talk about it often in the frame of ME3, because everything is so uncertain and there's no guarantee that they'll even make it out alive. but they do sometimes, late at night. quietly talking about the things they want to do together and the places they want to see - when they make it out alive, in those conversations, because there's so much gloom surrounding them already. it's nice to have those moments where they can talk about their future together like it's a guaranteed thing, before the morning comes and reality's back.

I never know what 2 put for these questions bc unless it’s a universally divisive character, the opinions that are considered ‘unpopular’ really just depend on what corner of th fanbase ur in. I guess a constant I see w martlet is ppl just undervaluing her role in the story and ESP her relationship w clover. I really do think mart is clovers favourite person and their bond is at the heart of the game, particularly evident by each routes ending focusing on her confrontation w them on the rooftop. Martlet and clover stopping ceroba together, martlet wanting to adopt clover and lead them away from violence, martlet being the final stand against clover and, as she observes, being the only monster they needed to find a deeper justification to kill (bc everything about her appeals so heavily to who clover is deep down). It’s why I kinda roll my eyes at the popularity of final boss/zenith starlo stuff, it feels like ppl just want martlets role pasted onto him despite that undermining his character arc what who said that

I wish we got to see inside her house!!!! It would be so cosy in there esp with that unused peaceful home track playing. I need to know how she lives. I also wish we got to see more interactions w her and star and especially ceroba before the final battle in pacifist. I find it so funny that one of cerobas battle texts implies martlet is her friend when basically their only interaction prior was ceroba breaking her out of jail only to immediately abuse her trust to take clover away from her. I’ve said it so many times and I’ll say it again the martlet and ceroba dynamic has sooooo much potential!!!! They’re both strongly associated w justice but while martlet demonstrates this value alongside her kindness and reason, ceroba tries to achieve her idea of justice through manipulation, cruelty and tunnelvisioned plans. Do you get me!!!!!!!

There was something with that part were we see Suzume in Gokkan talking to Rita. Maybe sth like "you were helping him so to prove your loyalties go murder him". Of course, neither Suzume nor Rita would go with sth like that but you get the vibe I'm implying

It's some elaborate con of the two again, for example, getting Racules out of cage, Morphonia runs away to look for help, you can proceed to stage 2

Others were also struck by Minongan's powers, it's just that they are older so id didn't affect them as much. So Jerami is like 1990 or sth, meanwhile Suzume and Racules are like, 10 or sth instead of straight up babies. Then Suzume jumping at Racules with a knife might imply that when she was sent yo Shugoddom she initially planned to kill him, but she got to know him better and refrained from doing so

The last one is my favourite, though idk how would they have it fit with the timeline and stuff. Would be fun to see how their relationship looked like initially

Something I find amusing about C.C. & Lelouch's relationship (spoiler: it's not amusing at all) As a premise, despite everything I'm going to say, CluClu is my otp and will ever be, so this is not intended as a hate shitpost, even if who doesn't like them as a couple is also absolutely welcome to give their take. Furthermore, the topic of my discourse is just their relationship regardless you see it as romantic or not.

Now, to get to the matter, let's take a look first at the other two girls. I've always felt that Lelouch relationship with Shirley and Kallen were somewhat unbalanced, since they clearly had deep, sincere feelings towards him, but as much as he reciprocated them (as friends or almost-lover it doesn't matter here), it's always been them to give the strongest evidence of these feelings. He obviously cared a lot about both, and if I'm being honest I think that Shirley could have been his first love, but he only shows how much important they are to him under dramatic circumstances or if solicited, in response to some showing of "affection" from their part.

In Shirley's case, when he kisses her back after her father's death, when he wipes off her memories, when he blushes because he was expecting her to kiss him and then, sadly, when she dies. As for Kallen, the strongest example that comes to mind to me is when he says "you have to live" after he lied so that she didn't sacrifice her life for him. (I won't take into consideration when he made a move on her, for the following reasons: because he was at his lowest point and was only looking for something to numb himself, sex was the same as drugs at that time, no less self-destructive, and definitely not an act of love; moreover, because he didn't show her any affection AT ALL—what he said to her was straight up insulting and degrading (I state this as a matter of fact, but I'm not judging him here, I could talk about this another time), not something I would proudly bring as a proof of his feelings for her. Lastly, because my point now it's not to demonstrate which girl he had ROMANTIC feelings for.)

Then we have C.C. The only one among the three whose feelings for him were ambiguous to say the least. For the most part of the story, she manipulated and used him for her purposes by encouraging him towards the path that was most convenient for her. She knew from the start the truth about his mother, she watched him struggle and never said a word because that could have made him falter in his determination. She was aware of Charles plans, which she had been complicit with in the past, and also that he had a geass, but never shared these informations with Lelouch, again because that could damage her aim. She was the person who more than anyone else saw how much he was suffering, and I believe she started to care about him even early on the story, but still this wasn't enough to stop her.

Obviously she was conflicted, she often looks torn between what she wants to gain from him and a genuine feeling that she can't allow herself to have. Also, we could argue that, had she really wanted to go all the way with her plan, she could have done so already by trying to kill him, in order to push him to accept the code as the nun did with her (we know from Charles and V.V. that's not necessary to wait for the geass to evolve in both eyes). But she never does this. Deep inside she's not as selfish as she pretends and would like to be, and at a closer look it's lecit to wonder if at some point her decision to stay at his side wasn't for her purposes anymore, even if that was what she kept telling herself—but this doesn't make her actions towards Lelouch any less wrong, any less selfish and manipulative.

As I stated before, among the three C.C. is the only one who, even if she truly had feelings for him, never prioritised them over herself. Even the scene where she comforts him after Euphemia's death is ambiguous, since those words and that gesture came from a person who was taking advantage of him all along.

What about Lelouch though? To me it's always been even shocking how open his feelings for her were (whether you intend them as romantic or not, again, it doesn't matter!). We know him as a person who always acts quite cold (even if he's not), but then we have "I don't know why snow is white, but I think it's beautiful", "If you're a witch then I shall become a warlock", "I promise you the smile you never had", even that snarky "I cannot be friends with a goddess, I've made a contract with the devil". He worries that she could get hurt or die even if he knows she's immortal. To not speak about how he allows himself to be vulnerable in front of her and just her.

So, to refer to the title, what I find "amusing" is how the girl he shows most openly his feelings for is exactly the one who apparently reciprocate less and, for a fact, the one whose reasons for being at his side have always been not totally genuine.

That could open another matter of analisys which I find interesting about Lelouch, namely how his relationship with Suzaku is an ulteriore example of how he clings the most to the people who somewhat reject him and don't give him any assurance that they won't leave him. From a psychological point of view, it seems in line with a young man who in his childhood has suffered from severe trauma bounded to loss and abandonment. It's common in these cases to have the strongest reactions to real or imaginary threats of abandonment, while unconsciously re-enacting the trauma by being emotionally driven towards those who show they could leave at any moment unless you make efforts to hold them back. But this could be the subject of another topic one day, a topic that I would probably call "why I think that Lelouch shows many symptoms of borderline personality disorder, despite the more popular fan-diagnosis that I feel are sometimes dued to a general misunderstanding of personality disorders". Well, that's it! I'm curious to read your opinions, if you like to share :)

I feel the need to make one of those intro posts because recently a few blogs started following me that seem to be more into the fanon interpretation of things, and I don't want anybody to get the wrong ideas about what to expect from this blog.

About me... I'm 29, she/her, pan/bi (I don't care which label), and demi (my, it took me so long to figure that out).. I used to be a judge but dropped out because of a myriad of reasons but mainly because of... well, depression. I cannot, for the life of me, remember how many letters there are in the alphabet, I love carrots but they make me nauseous, and my socks always have holes.

So... let's move to the important stuff.. JK sucks, and parts of the canon suck too - like the house elf stuff and her naming "skills" which are very telling, her fat shaming, and the anti-trans shit that is even written into the original source material. But for the most part, the characterization isn't one of them. So on this blog, I will defend the canon version of characters, flaws and all.

To make myself clear: hc characters as trans and writing characters as gay etc is great and I fully support that. What I mind, however, is the heteronormative, mysoginistic cliches we keep seeing under the guise of 'progressive' queer ships. If you not only change their gender or their height but also their personalities so that they fit heteronormative stereotypes that's problematic. Same goes for the casual racism going on in this fandom. Portraying non-white people as huge, buff guys with anger-issues is - you guessed it - problematic!

What to expect from this blog:

Me applauding the many great people out there. Do you even know how great you are???

Me geeking out, especially about the characters and ships I love most (and sometimes writing/sharing anti-posts about my own favs when I'm too fed up with the fanon version of them).

Me writing long-ass metas at two in the morning because that one post was the final straw.

Me brain-vomiting stuff into the void of the internet that really no one asked for and no one cares about.

Me ranting and contradicting myself.

Nuance - or at least, I try. But I'm just a person with biases, and I read the books through the lens of my own experiences, so yeah. And of course there's always a range, even when sticking to canon.

(I say I care about nuance, but you'll find me swaying to full-force apologetism the next second - get used to it, I'm a hypocrite).

Some writing. I shared some microfics/one-shots already (soulmate microfic, over 30 microfic, fix it one-shot, wolfstar raising Harry one-shot (sort of), drabble collection), but I'm working on a long wolfstar fic starting in 1971 and carrying all the way through to 1998. It's solely from Remus' s POV and I'm trying to pay attention to everything (!) in canon so that it makes sense with all the scenes we see in the books - although I wouldn't call wolfstar canon. I think itl'l be around 900k-1 million words in the end. Right now I'm at 950k but I need to add stuff, cut stuff and just generally work through it. I plan on starting to post it before I turn 30 (which will be in mid-December).

Remus/Sirius will always be my OTP, and I've made a post about why I think they make sense even from a canon perspective and with their canon personalities (not saying they are canon, but don't tell me I haven't read the books). But I do feel the need to point out that I disagree with most of the depictions I see nowadays in this fandom as the characters I fell in love with are barely recognoizable. I prefer post-PoA wolfstar (or AUs), but I think Hogwarts wolfstar can work. It's just indefinitely more difficult to make it work with their canon personalities. Btw, me loving wolfstar doesn't mean I negate the co-dependency James and Sirius have going on - which is obviously canon. I also love James and Sirius so much.

As for other ships... I love Scorbus, Jily, Hinny, Romione and Grindelore. And I love a whole bunch of characters regardless of any ships, including but not limited to Ron, Dumbledore, Ginny, Fleur, Luna, McGonagall, Hermione and Scorpius. And I'm not anti Tonks - I'm just anti Remadora because I think they both deserve better. But it is what it is, jk wrote that and for what it's worth I do think Remus loved her in some way.

I can get very passionate about fictional characters, but I'm an adult, and I know they're fictional. And I believe I can take criticism, so if there's anything on your mind...

It's always my personal opinion I'm talking about; I don't think I'm some kind of hp authority, but that goes without saying.

What not to expect from this blog:

FIC IDEA VAULT #15: A BAGGINSHIELD AFTERLIFE REUNION/TIME TRAVEL/ FIX-IT/BILBO DESTROYS THE RING IN PLACE OF FRODO FIC

Back on my Bagginshield era, I'm reading fics on them (I stopped bc various SW ships and other ships had me on a chokehold, how about those last 15 on Good Omens Ep6?? :c) and listening to my playlist once more, I think I had since the start of the year with hardly any of my OTP around (except for my phone background) ANYWAY this is to inform you I am also back on my bullshit and I come with another fic idea, which will be put on hold until I can complete the other 164453196859 ideas I have. Ok, not that many, but I do have a lot of very detailed ideas that I do want to write and a bunch of half sentenced ones that are just ideas, so here we goooooooo

Bilbo dies on the way to Valinor and awakens on it as his 50 year old self, to the astonishment of the Elves, Gandalf and Frodo. Something is wrong with the afterlife, it is in the air and everyone is on edge, Frodo most of all, as he has felt this presence before.

Sauron may have died on Arda, but he was still in part present in the afterlife, wrecking havoc on everything. Bilbo embarks to the green hills of Yavanna's garden, the land where all Hobbits go, with Frodo and Gandalf. Upon reunitign with family and friends, Yavanna herself welcomes the brave hobbits but Bilbo can notice the tense manner in which she speaks to Gandalf and offers his help. Yavanna informs them that the various lands of the Valar are on lockdown as they face attacks from the darkness and they fear they may not last until Iluvitar can help them, but that is a mission that Gandalf and the other wizards don't know how long it will take. She is afraid for her husbands and needs a way to contact him. She believes having them all cut off from each other was the wrong choice, uniting their forces they will be able to hold off the darkness better than on their own. So, Bilbo is determined to once more become a burglar and enter another mountain. Yavanna does warn him though that this time, the dragon is on the outside of the mountain. Sauron has set Smaug onto the Mountain that is Mahal's domain.

Bilbo sets off with four trouble hobbits to sneak into the Dwarven Halls, managing to distract the dragon enough that he ramms into the mountain and knocks himself out. They find a way inside and find a funny scene, Bilbo's dwarves are attempting to take down the front doors, despite their maker trying to make them see reason. They had heard Smaug's attempts to draw them out, the last thing the dragon had told them, aimed at Thorin himself, was that he was going to go to the Gardens to find Bilbo himself and get his revenge. Bilbo had at that moment drawn away his attention and having not heard the thunderous racket for awhile, the dwarves inside had panicked and were now attempting to try to kill the dragon themselves. Bilbo laughs at their ridiculousness and is almost squished by 13 dwarves. Mahal knows they wouldn't be there unless his wife had sent them and Bilbo gives him the message Yavanna had given him.

Mahal himself is now more than ever determined to find a way to stop the rampage that Sauron is inflicting on their lands. He goes out the way the hobbits came in to take care of a knocked out Smaug, and together, the hobbits, the dwarves and a Valar set off for the Gardens once more.

Reunited, the Valar are planning and discarding plans faster than the others can follow, until Mahal has a very dangerous plan, which he calls the Durin Last Resort.

The reason that Sauron is now able to still remain in lands of the Valar is because he was able to draw power from the remaining rings still in Middle Earth at the time of the War of the Ring, destroying it had not completely cut him off. The other rings had to be found and destroyed before the One Ring was finally banished, only then would Sauron finally be defeated. Time was not a straight line, it happened all at once, and still, Mahal and Yavanna could sent people back as Mahal had done before for Durin in his various reincarnations.

This makes Frodo almost collapse from the anxiety, but he swears that he will try his best if he is asked to be the Ring Bearer again. Bilbo can't take seeing his dear nephew in so much pain, not when he knows that he wasted so much time by doing nothing but using the ring as a simple party trick. He offers himself to go and be the Ring Bearer this time, reasoning that even if Frodo went back to the beginning of his adventure, Sauron already had plenty of time to be prepared and on the lookout for the Ring, but when Bilbo got the Ring himself, Sauron was not strong enough to do much but be the necromancer.

Mahal agrees but Yavanna is not happy. She refuses to put Bilbo in such danger, unless the company also go with him. She wishes for this to be a second chance for the line of Durin, and thus Bilbo wouldn't be alone on his trials. They cannot be sure exactly when Bilbo will go back to, just that it will before the retaking of Erebor. He will also be the only one who will initially have his memories, everyone else will need to be told a special message to unlock those memories back in the world of the living.

Bilbo is then send back in time and back to life a couple of years before his adventure and sets to making things right not just for his friends but also for many others in his life.

Anway, sorry for the innaccuracies on the Valar and everything else, I will not read the Silm and will just wing it lol. Essentially, I want BAMF Bilbo who gets to reunite with his dwarves in the afterlife, and then gets send back into his past to redo the Quest and also go on to destroy the Ring in the place of Frodo. If he and his King are able to finally stop being idiots and actually speak on their feelings, well, we will see. Those two are worse at communication than an angel and demon I know, so it might take a while lol.

ooooh okay! this was actually supposed to be part 1 of my already partially published Live Up To Your Name fic, “on a crowded street in 1944…”. the two fics are meant to be companion pieces, each one exploring the dynamic of our otp set in a different time period.

so this story takes place in 1592, just before the Japanese invasion of Joseon (this is also the setting of the actual show before the main character time travels to 2017). Lady Yeon Kyung, 23, must move to her uncle’s house after her grandfather and guardian dies. she has plans to follow in her grandpa’s footsteps and become a doctor, an acupuncturist. however, her uncle, the Minister of War, intends to make an auspicious match for her instead. the match is royal physician Lord Yoo, whom she does not care for. meanwhile, she tries to do as much medical work as she can get away with, and in the process she meets “lowly” physician Heo Im. their friendship becomes love, but before anything else can happen, the Japanese attack, and everything is thrown into chaos.

when I was doing research for this fic, I was actually super stoked to find out that they did have female physicians in Joseon — Confusian beliefs made male doctors treating women a taboo, so women were trained as doctors to take care of women. I think it’s a super cool detail and gives more historical validity to Yeon Kyung’s wish to be a doctor; it even aligns with her motivations to be a surgeon in canon.

aaaanyway, I would really like to continue work on this fic! I have a couple of scenes in the first chapter written, but I also have a rough outline of most of the story as well as a handful of scenes that’ll fit in later on. here’s one of those scenes for your pre-viewing pleasure 😉

Where before it had been just him and his career, now it was Yeon Kyung first, and then him, consumed with the need to hold her hands and kiss her face and touch her hair and to do anything for her.

He almost felt that if it were up to him, he'd keep her safe in a secret house, far removed from everything, never needing to leave or experience the brutality of the war. And yet he knew he could never and should never stop her from doing what she loved and needed, from running into the aftermath of every conquest and battlefield and saving lives. Despite the horrors of it all, he could see that treating patients was where she shone.
