Okay I'm back with another silly obscure character for you!
Maybe OCTAHEDRON Protagonist?
hang on i recognize you from here
but who am i to deny you your polygonal drug of choice
for future reference though you need to not consume so many polygons because polygon addiction can have serious consequences
dont do drugs children
Whatever this thing is, the way your eyes are straining when you try to focus on it are saying that the way you're currently perceiving it is protecting your mind from sensing something far, far beyond human understanding. Its dragon-esque body consists of what looks like hundreds of thousands of individual shapes that each have their own color. No two shapes have the same color. Where its head should be is a floating octahedron that is so bright you can't look directly at it. It's like staring into the sun.
Its breath weapon is a flurry of countless individual paper-thin shapes launched at incredible speeds. Each shape individually only leaves behind a paper cut, so you can imagine how deadly all those shapes being launched at you at once is.
One neat thing about being a shapechanger is that if someday I happen to think "Hm, I wonder what it is like to be an octahedron?", I can just turn myself into an octahedron and find out.
(It turns out that being an octahedron isn't really all that interesting. But I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't tried.)
It has 8 regular triangular faces, 12 edges, and 6 vertices.

Don't forget that there's a game called OCTAHEDRON!! With an equally banger soundtrack!! Also the protagonist is octahedron-headed btw. They're a silly little (tm) guy.
Regular Icosahedron:
Platonic Solid
Regular
Dual of the Regular Dodecahedron
It has 20 regular triangular faces, 30 edges, and 12 vertices.
4 tiny tetrahedra friends (red, blue, yellow, green) and 1 octahedron guy (violet) make up the big tetrahedron squad (packed densely into a pretty nice tetrahedron glass cage):
(The octahedron guy is at the center of the friend group. Does it make them the mom friend?)
Release them from their glass cage and enjoy their company in the wild:
Here are the 5 members of the big tetrahedron squad, aligned into a fine line.
after years of not doing it, I’ve finally made a gemsona :3
idk if those pictures are different kinds of pyrite, but they’re all definitely pyrite. some are just iridescent like that.
though it’s definitely not my color, i LOVE pyrite for being able to form platonic solids. cubes are most common but these guys are a couple of octahedrons. they’re a lil special i love them.
silly guys bubby and coomer from hlvrai. please watch it. the pyrites are probably some sort of scientists i guess because these two have been living in my brain
bonus: my irl pyrite shaped into a stella octangula i love it i love it
Yatevon Octahedron
A single-minded univore from the land of Dodecas, with a curious hunger for floating platforms.
Octahedron - 004 - (005) Limited Edition
Propaganda and spoilers under cut
Yatevon: It's only purpose is to be an annoying enemy that steals your platforms.
It's described as a "simple minded univore with a curious hunger for floating platforms". Oh and it's named after Yateveos.
Echo Flower: The Echo Flower is a mysterious cyan flower that repeats back whatever words it heard last, over and over. In Undertale, you can use it to hear conversations of passersby.
Amputechture (2006), The Bedlam in Goliath (2008), Octahedron (2009), Noctourniquet (2012), The Mars Volta
While I may have expressed a certain fondness for early Mars Volta records, that sympathy doesn’t extend to the rest of the band’s catalogue. At one point, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala entirely lost me; not just unenjoyable but lengthily so, Mars Volta records lost all impact. These releases can only justify themselves with exceptional amounts of lore and extended reading – all of which perhaps indicates that the music itself says very little.
