Date:Jan.20th 2042

"It's useless. I can't sneak into any of those dimensions." Boruto says, absorbing the space-time portal with his karma mark.

Boruto Uzumaki, one hundred sixty eight centimeters tall, having his hair cut short now, wearing cape and fingerless gloves similar to his mentor Sasuke, Boruto no longer wears the same bright smie he had on his face as a child.

"Isshiki did create so many space-time continuums. Perhaps the reason Kawaki has not found Code yet is that Isshiki didn't use his Dharmagan to create those dimensions." Koji states, opening his eyes, sitting in meditation state.

"Don't you think that Code has casted barrier techniques to protect Isshiki's dimensions from intruders?" Boruto turns around to ask Koji this question.

"That theory of yours doesn't sound far-fetched. Isshiki was innovative enough to develop superior techniques as he analyzed our ninjutsu. He might have known some ancient secret techniques of his clan." Koji responds.

"Turned to ashes and dust and the footprint he left on earth is as irritating as he was when he was alive." Boruto utters. "Did you get to peek into future?"

"No. Code and Kawaki seem to be protected by a transcendent entity. It would take eons and hundreds of chaka fruits for one to ascend to such high spiritual state and gain the ability to see the fate of those who have been blessed by gods. I'm merely a mortal sage." Koji replies.

"I have to learn how to activate my Jougan willingly. Even though i'm not sure if it would allow me to bypass that damn restriction or not." Boruto says.

"Code will eventually send his army and you will be there when that happens. It's been two years since you started training with me and i saw your rapid growth. The next time you and Code meet, you might have get the upper hand on him. That technique will guarantee your victory." Koji states, raising on his feet.

"I have to fix everything." Boruto murmurs, shutting his eyes.

"Find some trustworthy and capable allies. You can't take care of this all by yourself." Koji says, putting his hand on Boruto's shoulder.

"I bet there will be some who are eager to assist me." Boruto turns around to look at the sky. "I just have to ensure their safety. I don't seek their doom afterall."

"You are being too hard on yourself. We will save him soon enough." Koji reassures Boruto, patting the young lord on back.

"Yeah..." Boruto whispers.

'Sasuke-san...it took ages...but i promise i'll find a way to get you out. Forgive me for not meeting your expectations...' Boruto thinks.

Sasuke's unconscious body trapped in a small divine tree, transported to another dimension in which one second is equal to seventy years on planet earth, to prevent Sasuke from running out of life force. Why did Code not kill Sasuke when he had the opportunity to terminate one of those who were hands in glove in Isshiki's demise? Boruto isn't sure.

Does he seek an answer?

No.

Code is far too dangerous to be life alive. And Boruto will do whatever it takes to finish Code off.

Isshiki's timeless dimension that is linked to his Dharmagan. It's tremendously vast compared to ordinary universes. The bearer of Dharmagan may be the only person who can freely move in this realm, and they can use the dojutsu to manipulate the stored objects in it.

Kawaki enters this dimension, staring at the seventh hokage, who has lost his consciousness. Standing at one hundred eighty three centimeters tall, Kawaki's let his grow long to reach his neck, wearing a white cape.

How many times has Kawaki came to see his father? He's lost count of it for all that matters to him is to eradicate Otsutsuki clan and bring back Naruto to a world that is not threatened by the parasitic species.

Does Kawaki even care about Hinata? He has aaked this question time and again. Hinata was kind to him, and while she did stood up for Boruto and slapped Kawaki in the face, he doesn't hold a grudge against her for doing what a sane person expects from a caring mother. Kawaki did pity her for she failed to see just how dangerous of a threat Boruto is.

"Once i'm done, you can have your revenge. And if you hesitate, i will kill myself in one way or another. My sole purpose is to wipe the Otsutsuki from existence. I'm nothing but trash." Kawaki says, closing his eyes.

Kawaki disappears from his personal domain, lands on top of Naruto's hokage rock, watching over the village.

"I'll protect your people." Kawaki mutters.

"Guys, why Kawaki seems to be addicted to going to that pocket dimension again?" Chocho says with her full mouth, eating strawberry sandwich in restaurant with her seat near the window that allows her to see hokage rock and stare at Kawaki.

Chocho Akimichi, one hundred sixty seven centimeters tall, her long wavy hair in a twin tail style, she is wearing an orange and black crop top and an orange knee-length sports skirt along with a pink butterfly-shaped pendant and the traditional earring that is passed from one generation of InoShikaCho to the next one. She is a bite more chubby than she was as a genin.

"Having people like you chasing him and getting on his nerves babbling nonsense, bragging about how you have every single handsome boy in the world wrapped around your little finger, that's not surprising at all." Inojin says, resting his chin on palm of his right hand.

Inojin Yamanaka, one hundred seventy centimeters tall, with long yellow hair tired into ponytail, he is wearing black and purple t-shirt with black pants, along with InoShikaCho earring.

"You are jealous that i have all eyes on me." Chocho claims, giggling.

"Have you ever considered the possiblity of someone eyeing you because you are morbidly obese?" Inojin asks Chocho, sighing.

"Now now, are you body shaming me?" Chocho frowns at Inojin.

"I'm stating obvious facts. Besides, if you are as attractive as you claim, why have i never heard of you speaking about dating anyone?" Inojin queries, handing over the tray board with empty drink bottles to waitress. "Thanks for your patience, miss."

"I'm getting paid for this. So it's fine." The waitress responds with a gentle tone, grinning at Inojin who feels bad for her, giving her a nervous smile.

'Don't tell me that this woman is Inojin's type?' Chocho begins to wonder, scanning the waitress. 'Green hair, peach skin tone, sky blue eyes, quite curvy with that peach and mommy milkers...gosh, that's so cliche!' Chocho thinks, her face turns red.

"Amado-san said that Kawaki recovers faster in timeless dimension, and can gather up chakra there. He's been busy finishing S-rank missions on daily basis. Since it's silent there, i don't blame him at all." Shikadai presumes, eating his lightning burger.

Shikadai Nara, one hundred seventy four centimeters tall, wearing dark green and black jacket with black pants along with the traditional InoShikaCho earring.

"You three have been assigned to tens of S-rank missions yourselves. You will be promoted to jonin rank soon. I am proud of you kids. I really do mean it." Moegi confesses, throwing an arm around Inojin's neck.

"Mitsuki, Sarada, Sumire and Houki are all ahead of us. Houki is an anbu chief and the rest are tokubetsu jonins. We are nothing extraordinaire compared to them." Inojin admits.

"Realistically speaking, Tsubasa-san was the one who mentored them. At age of eleven, he was assisting Sasuke-san on missions, no one in our generation operates on such a high level. The legends revolving around him make him sound more like a mythical godlike deity of sorts than anything. I remember the late lord seventh saying that Tsubasa-san's almost as talented as Itachi Uchiha, the single most gifted prodigy in history of konoha." Shikadai states.

'This guy again? Why would one compare me with him? These kids make me feel insecure. Why would you mention Tsubasa-kun?' Moegi thinks, wearing a fake smile. Shikadai and Inojin both can tell that she's not happy with their statements, and regret saying what they said.

"Don't you dare hit on that bulbasaur." Chocho bends over to threaten Inojin.

"You were scanning her for a while, we have been coming here since graduating from the academy, and i should be the one to tell you that She's married?" Inojin murmurs, holding his temple.

"Huh? But...i mean...what?" Chocho says, confused.

"The ring." Inojin points at the waitress who is behind him, Chocho spots her and sees the gold wedding ring that she is wearing.

"But who wears wedding rings in konoha?" Chocho asks Inojin, dumbfounded.

"That's a good point. To answer your question, She is an immigrant from land of iron. Her name is Akua and before y-" Shikadai gets interrupted.

"HOW DO YOU ALL KNOW ABOUT ALL THIS?" Chocho shouts.

"I told you all she never listens. Dummy." Inojin nods.

"Communication, Chocho. You were busy daydreaming about your romance life when Akua introduced herself three years ago." Shikadai replies.

"Oh...eh....sorry..." Chocho growls, embarassed.

"It's okay, sweetheart. You just need to get out of your fantasy world more often." Moegi says, watching Chocho as she covers her face with her hands.

"I told you i'm all good!" Might guy shouts at the doctors. "All this joy and passion...i have reclaimed the power of youth after eighteen long years! I will get to compete with my eternal rival and taste a series much-needed satisfying victories!" Guy clenches his fists with his teary eyes, then lets out a deafening scream but Amado, Katasuke, Akita and Sumire covered their ears before that catasthropic sound that leaves cracks on walls of the hospital.

"It appears that Katasuke's extensive research on Mitsuki's and Kawaki's regenerative cells now bear a fruit. Using the stem cells in your own body and carefully modifying them with my inorganic technology, neurons have regenerated and limbs in your right leg have been reformed." Amado states, opening a pack of cigars.

"However, i advice you not to use your eight gates technique. You have to achive an ideal shape through cultivating yang energy, that way you will be allowed to go past fourth gate. Or all this effort will be meaningless." Katasuke asserts.

"I understand your concerns." Guy says, bowing to Katasuke and Amado. "Thank you very much."

"Come for check-up once every two weeks. Don't forget about your medicine." Akita reminds Guy.

"You don't need to worry about anything! I'll be extra careful in my journey to beat Kakashi!" Guy cries, gives a thumbs up, then starts to run away beaming. "I'M COMING KAKASHI!"

"No one in this room would take you seriously." Sumire whispers.

Sumire Kakei, one hundred seventy four centimeters tall, wearing a halterneck shirt and black pants underneath her lab coat, she has let her hair lose and grow long to reach her hips.

"Well done, Sumire. If you weren't here, it would have taken us a few more years to make this dream a reality. Your hard work paid off. Both you and Akita did an excellent job." Amado admits. "Keep it up. You have all the potential in the world."

"You're flattering me, Amado-san." Sumire responds, smiling.

"I think you are making a big deal out of it." Akita replies to Amado, her face turns red.

"Amado-san is right. The future is in the palms of your hands. You just have to not lose focus. Dedicate yourselves to this. I believe you will be the greatest minds in field of science." Katasuke claims.

"Yes, sir." Akita and Sumire utter at the same time.

"You may leave now. Go and have fun for you deserve it." Katasuke says.

"Thank you so much." Akita bows, Sumire follows her and then they start to leave. As they reach the end of hall they do high-fave as they grin, happy to see their progress and growth, and how they helped someone go ecstatic.

There is pocket dimensions with different laws of physics. Ashina Uzumaki invented formulas that allowed him to gain access to those space-time contiuum to go through rigorous training sessions, and after foundation of konoha, he taught academy students how to perform those seal and create special sealing tags.

In one of countless dimensions with a gravity that is equal to that of an average black hole, a girl is holding a mountain that weighs trillions of times more than that of star in her timeline, Sarada's physical strength impresses her legendary mother Sakura Uchiha and the copy ninja Kakashi Hatake.

Sarada Uchiha, standing at one hundred sixty three centimeters tall, she is wearing a black and red jacket with black shorts and mid-calf black sandal boots, Sarada's hair is almost straight but with spikes on back of her head and shorter than it used to be when she was a kid. She is wearing an earring with shape of uchiha clan symbol and has attached forehead protector to right side of her jacket.

Sarada, Mitsuki and Sumire were all promoted to jonin rank in last year's april along with Houki who earned rank of Anbu Chief. They were Tsubasa Emiya's pupils and were trained by him for two years, mastering so many jutsus and each inventing their own unique techniques. Mitsuki, Sumire and Sarada had some of highest scores in history of jonin exams, with Mitsuki falling behind his mentor.

"It's been two days and you haven't even broken a sweat? I'm afraid you might be the single physically strongest kunoichi of all time at age of fifteen." Kakashi admits. "That's enough, Sarada."

Sarada carefully puts the vast frame of rock down and wipes the dirt and dust off her clothes. "Never enough."

"You didn't even need to activate your byakugou seal, Sarada-chan. That is an astonishing showcase of strength even compared to likes of Tsunade-san and me." Sakura confesses.

"And yet, my power is inferior to Boruto's and Kawaki's, let alone Code." Sarada states, frowning.

"If you want to protect the village so badly, you have to see the limits to your capacity. Or you will die failing to achive your goal. Is that what you truly wish?" Kakashi asks Sarada with a straight look on his face, Sarada glares at him.

"All that awaits you in this path is darkness. You know that, right?" Sakura asks Sarada, putting her hand on Sarada's back.

"Yeah..." Sarada mutters, starts to walk away from her mother and mentor. Sinking in a sea of emotions and thoughts.

'Father...lord seventh...Hinata-san...Boruto...' Sarada thinks, shutting her eyes. 'If i have to, i will fight destiny itself to make everything right!' The thought of her beloved ones sets her heart ablaze

Sarada drops her head and stands in middle of the space-time formula that is carved on the silky red sands, fearing that even with her friends assistance she may not be able to protect the village, doubting in her potential and unsure if she truly deserves to become hokage or not.

Pt. 1 (explication)

So basically I will explain my AU (relationships, etc)

1. Everything goes like the original manga and anime, the only change is that:

- some of the characters are alive

- the couples change (I do ship naruhina and sasusaku but I prefer sasunaru and sakuhina)

- there will be variations (like, I know that for the plot Itachi and Shisui need to be dead but sometimes I will be doing other AUs when they are alive, same goes with Team Minato, Jiraiya, Minakushi, etc.)

Original Character Post for World Goes On Series

The World Goes On is my series that studies specific characters from the fic ‘Bloodied Hands, Bruised Heart’, wherein Hikaku deals with many things including politics to try and see Madara step down or removed from his Clan Head position. Due to the fact there are hardly any characters in the Warring Clans Era, I have made many, many OCs for this series. Beneath the line goes through each named character along with a quick sentence about them and their position, as needed.

I would also like to mention these is only a list of all the characters who are mentioned by name in the main fic, as sharing a list of all the other OCs who never quite made it onto the screen seems pointless in my opinion.

Uchiha Characters

Civilians/Retired

Katsufumi - Katsufumi serves as the Lore-keeper in the Uchiha Clan and, as such, is also in charge of the library.

Mao - Mao is a Carer, and the one primarily responsible for organising orphaned children in the Uchiha Clan and making sure that they’re looked after.

Yasu - Yasu is brother to Kazuo (ninja) and frequently represents the smiths.

Chika - Chika is one of the two farmers that are seen in the main fic, and is married to Sayaka.

Sayaka - Sayaka is married to Chika and is the other farmer who appears in the main fic.

Saburō - Saburō is the Quartermaster of the Uchiha Clan and in charge of distributing supplies and provisions, including mission allotments and weapons.

Medics

Kenshin - Kenshin is the Chief Medical Officer and is responsible for all the medical happenings in the Uchiha Clan. He’s frequently seen on the battlefield.

Sumire - Sumire is Kenshin’s second-in-command for the battlefield medics.

Kichirō - Kichirō is one of the battlefield medics.

Aki - Aki is one of the battlefield medics.

Manami - Manami is the leader of the in-house medics for the most part.

He is my boy Ryusui. He is my latest oc that I’m dumping into the Naruto franchise (specifically Boruto). He’s 11 years old and a sweet little gob. He’s nonverbal due to his kakegenki [he doesn’t realize his voice combined with his eyes cast insanely strong ninjutsu so he just thinks he bewitches people so he chooses not to talk :( poor guy] his kakegenki is one that hasn’t been seen before because it’s a unique blend of families: uchiha, hyuga, haruno, and something else I have yet to name. His kakegenki works exactly as follows:

Hyuga influence- he is able to see the flow of energy aka chakra in a sort of feng shui kind of way (think that one jojos bizarre adventure stand from part 6 where Jolene is in jail). Not only does he see the chakra in the human body but he sees chakra everywhere. Even if a tree branch is abt to fall in a few minutes he can “see” it before it happens due to the shift of energy. This ability is purely eyesight based and can’t be turned off. Because of this he usually keeps his eyes closed unless he’s in a dangerous or intense situation.

Uchiha influence- his eyesight along with his voice allow for him to cast some insane genjutsu. Whatever he says or describes is exactly how the target perceives it. There’s a slight issue though, he doesn’t know how to control it yet. Currently it affects everyone within his radius, even allies. Since he didn’t grow up around shinobi he doesn’t know that this is a genjutsu ability so he was never taught how to control it. (He learns to eventually I swear)

That is the extent of his kakegenki ability. His blood is actually 50% Haruno which allows for pretty good chakra control. He has a “freckle” on his neck that is actually a collection of chakra (similar to Sakura and Tsunade’s diamond on their foreheads) he doesn’t realize this because he has had it for as long as he can remember. Due to his feng shui ability the chakra just happened to pool within his throat and boosts his genjutsu (he has yet to realize this but will eventually lol)

Backstory: he grew up with his father but never knew his mother. His father was Haruki Haruno (Kizashi Haruno’s brother, that’s not cannon by the way I made it up but Kizashi Haruno is real and is Sakura’s dad). When Ryusui was 7 Haruki suddenly went missing. Ryusui managed to survive on his own well enough due to being able to see the flow of energy. In a way he sort of “followed good fortune” and managed to keep himself alive. The day he meets Mitsuki and Team 7 he was following his “gut feeling” (the feng shui based kakegenki) and met Sumire at one of the labs run by the Leaf Village. Sumire brought him inside and it just so happened Team 7 was there on a mission to deliver some ninja tech. Mitsuki takes a liking to Ryusui and decides to take him back to the village to try and help Ryusui understand his weird powers. (Mitsuki knows his parent well enough to know that Orochimaru could probably help this kid) of course that plan is derailed as Naruto calls an emergency change of plans and orders Team 7 to join with Konohamari and Mugino. Then booyah my boy is basically in the story now. Will I write a fanfiction? Maybe.

Gambler of Feelings - Chapter 17

Title: Gambler of Feelings.

Konoha High, One Year ago:

This is the story about the four people that made a mistake. First was too much naive in seeking a place to belong to, the second couldn't pick between love or friendship, the third blinded by their pride and the fourth that was the cause of it all.

Now when they think about it, it was just a mere coincidence that all three of them ended up in the same classroom. Whether it could be a fortunate one, or not is up to debate.

Boruto's assigned class was the class "C". He could feel the sense of dread about his upcoming high school life. As the principal son, he for sure will face prejudice or people approaching him with nasty intentions.

Walking towards the classroom assigned for the class "C", a faint scent of vanilla made the trip through bland hallway much more bearable. Decorations along the way were tasteless just like his dad.

Surprisingly the classroom he entered looked approximately normal. Empty desks, blackboard stained with charcoal and pleasant view through the seats next to windows. What brought his attention were two familiar figures writing something on the blackboard.

"Sumire and Shikadai…" he whispered in his state of shock. Boruto had a conviction they chose a different school, so why they were here? Deep in his thoughts about their reasons, he stopped paying attention to his surroundings.

"B-Boruto? I didn't know you were in the same class!" Class rep sudden shout startled him. He missed the moment when both she and Shikadai recognised his presence.

"Shouldn't I be more surprised you're both here, ya know?" he asked. Boruto's suspicions about them being here had a valid reason. Both Sumire and Shikadai supposedly planned to go to 'Suna High.'

"What a drag… Sumire should give you an explanation, not me." Shikadai couldn't stop his yawn. Yup, his childhood friend was talkative like no one ever was.

"Konoha High was our second pick on the list, can't you remember?" The sigh class rep let out started to hurt his personal pride.

"Now that you mention it I remember something like that, ya know! So Sumire do you plan to be a class rep in high school too?" What with that unimpressed gaze from Shikadai?! 'Class Rep' nickname was in danger if Sumire won't want to be one! It would be convenient if she is because she's used in dealing with his mischief.

"I don't know if I will. Maybe?" Sumire tilted her head in an overly-cute way. Damn, she saw through him like he was some sort of open book. 'Class Rep' could be really scary sometimes.

"Please, be class rep this year too! Without you being class rep when you're here everything can feel off, ya know?" How awkward of him to spell this out loud. It's too much big of favour since the 'class rep' didn't have any obligation to listen to his plea.

"My close friend from Suna was nervous about transferring to the city, so I ended up here. Though, it's troublesome," mumbled Shikadai. That was the nice life-saver! As excepted from his childhood bro that could tell how ridiculous his conversation with 'class rep' was.

"Oh, really? Introduce me to your friend someday, ya know!" Pretending to be excited, Boruto jumped as high he could. Crashing onto the floor wasn't the best first impression he did on the rest of slowly coming into the classroom his future classmates. But the thought that two of his friends being here was reassuring.

At that time feigning ignorance to his naivety and still seeking out for a place that he belongs to. He hurt just his own feelings in the end.

Sumire considered Shikadai just as a mere acquaintance. Of course, she was astonished when she met him in near the school building. After all, didn't he plan to enter Suna High just like her?

Setting aside the small chat that she had with her old friends and hiding her 'real' reason to be a student here, she spaced out during class rep election. Boruto's begging from before apparently had an effect of the promotional school election campaign. She won the votes from her classmates without doing anything. That irritated her to no end.

It's true that she always was 'class rep.' However, being one this year sounded boring. Even a small change in her position would be nice. At this point, she's stuck to the stigma of a 'class rep' forever.'

Echo of the school bell annoyed her more. But it was a sign that the time to meet Shikadai's friend is coming soon. During their talk, the guy asked her to accompany him because 'Asami' didn't have a lot of female friends. Sumire agreed for the old times' sake.

Walking into cafeteria filled with the smell of freshly baked bread, Sumire somehow noticed Shikadai waving towards her to join the table. Next to him was sitting slender looking girl that had green eyes and the long wavy platinum-blonde hair. Was it Asami? She looked similar to a doll with a bubbly personality than the real human. Maybe she shouldn't judge her based on the first impression?

"Hi, Shikadai! I g-guess that's the friend you talked about, right?" Sure, she stammered a little bit because she's nervous around meeting new people. But gathering the courage to join the table where both Shikadai and the doll-like person were sitting wasn't easy for Sumire Kakei. At least not now.

"Oh, it's a person I talked about to you, Asami. That's Sumire Kakei, Sumire the person sitting next to me is Asami Kinoshita." Shikadai eyes seemed to sparkle when introducing his 'friend' from Suna. Friend, right? For Sumire, it looked more like a one-sided crush. Nara wagging his puppy tail for that girl wasn't something she excepted.

"Nice to meet you, Lisa! Do you have speech problems?" Asami spoke up. The whole doll-like image Sumire had of her suddenly shattered to pieces.

"I'm Sumire, not Lisa. And my speech shouldn't concern you," she responded. All her willpower went into stopping herself in saying something ruder.

Sumire disliked Asami thinking of her as the person that had the sweet, innocent facade that went completely unnoticed by no one in school. Oh, stupid comments about her upbringing coming from Asami's mouth played a large part in it too.

Due to her too much prideful personality and an open-dislike for the girl, Sumire's warnings were not considered. If something else happened that day…

Maybe the warning she gave would have more meaning. And everything could change. But Sumire's personal pride got in the way.

The only thing Sumire Kakei wanted to know till this day is the entire truth. The truth about the girl that hurt her close friend.

Boruto ran away from his fangirls. Those girls were crazy and dedicated to tail him that far.

"They're just after me cause of my parents, aren't they? Being in the centre of attention sucks," he whispered. He was sure nobody will hear him here. After all, that's his favourite hiding place.

"Oh, you're the guy… Boruto Uzumaki!" Boruto recognised the owner of this voice. Was he so out of it he didn't notice the girl sitting in front of him?!

"Asami, what are you doing here?" he inquired. Maybe it was the stupid thing to do, but at this moment he didn't care about it.

"Sitting as you can see! Is there something wrong? You look really like a beaten puppy right now." Asami shook her head in worry. How pathetic. Being an optimist was his speciality, not this girl.

"I just feel overwhelmed by the other people putting high expectations around me, ya know? It doesn't help I don't know what to do either," his small confession and feelings he hid until now came out.

"Oh, I mean every person feels down sometimes. You're just a human like me! Aren't you good at gaming?" Asami started to spin as if some idea popped into her head. What is she? A ballerina? And when she got into a position to be his personal counsellor?!

"I like to play in games, but I wouldn't call myself a professional gamer." For a moment he forgot how bad he's feeling.

"Why do you not to try to take part in the upcoming gaming tournament? I feel you have a knack for it!" she clenched her hands into fists. Did he really give an image of a professional gamer? The idea itself wasn't that bad.

"If you think I have a knack for it, why not? I can even be the president of the club for people that enjoy playing in games, ya know!" Maybe he acted too hasty, but for some reason need to impress this girl won over his any remaining doubts.

"See? You still have reason to live for the future." Asami made a peace sign. He really appreciated the gesture she did to try to improve his bad mood. It was the first time when he let someone see him in this state.

After their first real conversation, they started meeting up in Boruto's hiding spot. Talking about various things and the future plans involved gaming was in his daily routine now. It's no wonder he fell in love. He even successfully could be called Asami's boyfriend.

That's how they all met her. And that's how Boruto love for her was the cause of everything that happened.

"Did you hear, Shikadai? Boruto started to date Asami!" Sumire felt an obligation to inform him about this shocking news.

Shikadai shrugged. "It's a drag… I'm happy for them, really."

That was obviously his lie, but Sumire didn't plan to give up. Something was wrong with that 'Asami' girl.

"I'm telling you something is wrong with your so-called friend! Can you at least listen to my warnings?" It's the only hope she had for Shikadai to take action and warn Boruto too. But her words weren't enough.

Because Shikadai couldn't pick either love or friendship. Both were a precious gem for him. His inability in choosing sides hurt every party.

"Can you stop, Sumire? I know you dislike Asami, but it's not really your business. Stick your nose into something else, okay?" Due to mixed up emotions welling up inside of him, Shikadai got unreasonably mad.

That day friendship that could form between them came to a halt. Sumire stopped her usual mornings' greetings directed at Shikadai, and he started to ignore her as well.

All three of them were just fools back then.

Boruto was really nervous that day. He somehow managed to convince both Sumire and Shikadai to join his club and the gaming tournament.

All those cameras around made him extremely nervous. There was a lot of the clubs competing and gathering at different gaming tables, or sometimes even fancy platforms. A place where the audience could watch his matches from a safe distance, for sure didn't make him feel calm

Maybe that's why he bumped into a girl with short jet-black hair and red glasses. He shouted out his apology, but it seems she completely ignored him.

The feeling of anxiety passed when Boruto started to play with his competition. His club destroyed all the others on various games. It was so humiliating for those losers that a break was announced due to some complication about some 'cheater'. Well, that so-called cheater wasn't a person he took an interest in.

Walking towards the backstage when the short break started, suddenly he froze. He couldn't believe what was transpiring in front of him.

Asami kissed flustered Shikadai that pushed her away. They were screaming. At some point, she cried. Boruto stopped to care, his mind went blank. All the things he believed in his best friend, girlfriend and future shattered. And the sudden realisation struck. Asami was using him, she wanted to get closer to Shikadai, not him.

His personal feelings, the fear of being used were now true. And that hurt like someone cut his heart in half. That pain was so real he'll never forget it.

"A-Asami, S-Shikadai…" Boruto cried out to them. His friend and girlfriend expression were terrified. Like he's some kind of monster. Why? Was he really that selfish? Naive? So incompetent in love that his friend and person he loved betrayed his trust?

Asami knew about his fear of being used. And she took advantage of that knowledge. He couldn't forgive her, even if he could try. Never. In the end, he broke up with her for Shikadai's sake too. Because it doesn't matter if Shikadai betrays his trust, he was still his childhood friend.

Running away from them and giving up in the tournament was the main action he took afterwards. Even if losing meant he'll never announce to everyone Asami is his girlfriend, or give her a surprise he planned. Everything he did had no meaning. Eh? Are those tears that are falling on his cheeks?

Feelings can be indeed cruel sometimes. That's the conclusion Boruto Uzumaki arrived at after some time passed and he received a letter from Asami.

Dear Boruto and Dai!

I owe an honest apology to you both. I didn't want to hurt anyone, but I guess it couldn't be helped in the end.

The president of Boruto's Fanclub learned about me having a crush on Shikadai and the secret talks I had with Boruto. At first, it was nothing major, but later I got dangerous threats telling me what to do.

I was so scared that I did everything I was instructed to do. Terrible things. Like accusing that one poor girl as a cheater and leading you all on.

I'm really sorry! Please forgive me… I won't show up in your lives anymore too, so let's all move on.

PS - Don't show this letter to Sumire. She already disliked me, so what's the point?

The content of the letter helped him and Shikadai to move on. They didn't tell Sumire about what happened between them. Later on, their old friend Chō-Chō and a completely new member joined the club. But the pain and the past grudges remained till this day.

Back to the Present Day:

"That's the whole story." Boruto summed everything up being grateful Sarada, Mitsuki and Sumire are patient listeners.

"Uwawa! You should tell me about the letter, even if you knew about my dislike towards the girl." Sumire couldn't help but comment bitterly. Instead of being secretive, everything would get resolved if they talked to her from the start.

"You're quite scary when you mad. It's a drag," Shikadai put his input about events that happened in the past. But he sensed Boruto wanted to ask Sarada something important right now.

"Hey, Sarada… You said you know Asami. How exactly you're connected to her?" Boruto tried to calm down. Telling a story about his emotional scars wasn't easy for him.

"I'm the accused cheater. Asami approached me under the guise of friendship and framed for cheating during the tournament. We were… close friends." That's all Sarada had to say about the girl. She forgave Asami Kinoshita long ago. Holding a grudge now was pointless. But the feeling of betrayal will always linger.

"I see… I'm sorry," said Boruto with a warm smile. He even walked up to her and stroked her hair to show he's really sorry. It made Sarada incredibly embarrassed. At this point she suspected patting her was the new hobby that he desperately looked for in the past.

"I-It's not your fault." This situation was bad for her heart. Every time Asami name was mentioned, Boruto smiled.

Sarada hated it. She wanted to be the person that makes him smile in that way. Not some another girl! At the same time, she hated herself for being jealous too. God, she needs help. Boruto is just too kind and handsome.

"Thank you." Boruto response pulled at her heartstrings more. She needed to change the subject. Think Sarada, think! Before your cheeks will turn as red like tomatoes.

"So what about the game tournament this year? Do you want to participate?" Sumire question was a life-saver. She needs to say 'thank you' to her later.

"I have nothing against it, but my mom will." It was the truth.

"That's okay. This day is exhausting. Let's meet up tomorrow. You can flirt with Boruto later," she winked in her direction. Wha-What? Wasn't Sumire on her side?! Not being able to look any club member in the eye Sarada exited the clubroom.

And that's when she remembered about the bet. The bet that didn't have any progress. Eh, she promised to buy a new phone together with Boruto tomorrow before she got engaged in a story he was telling!

Is it a date?

That type of delusions flew into her thoughts. It's official if it continues she'll turn into Chō-Chō. But if that's possible… She wanted to help Boruto to heal from his pain.

Muses I’ve written in the past, or that are currently in hiatus:

Itachi! I wrote Itachi for about 2 years, and then Shisui, Sasuke, Izuna and Orochimaru for a little bit! That’s just in the Naruto fandom--I have a few others, too.

I wrote Crowley Eusford and Mikaela Hyakuya from Owari no Seraph or Seraph of the End, back when it was popular. I also took a few swipes at writing Ferid, but that fell apart pretty quickly. I just wasn’t too good at getting his personality down, lol.

I wrote Severus Snape, Tom Riddle and Harry Potter from Harry Potter fandom, of course. At one point I was also considering writing Bellatrix Lestrange, but I never gave in. I think I was in high school, first year of college at that point. I would eventually like trying to restart that, but I’m really hesitant to do so.

I had a few oc’s! My first was Kurokawa Sumire, who was a ninja from the cloud district that focused on water and electrical ninjutsu. She was so overpowered, but I would eventually like to remake her into someone that I could actually rp or write without feeling my middle school days coming back. I almost cringe just thinking about her, but middle school me had fun. I wrote her with a few classmates and passed a notebook back and forth between classes.

Harry was a fun one to write just because of how oblivious he can be to his surroundings. Just something a little different.

[Boruto Fanfic] Aihime

As promised here is the new, small, collab fanfic done between me and @mirage-05 !

This fanfic is mainly focused on Boruto’s and Mitsuki’s relationship, with the possibility of romance in the way but mainly regarding their bond as friends. Some other ships will be occasionally mentioned such as ShikaSara and Sumire x OC.

Chapter 1: Mitsuki’s Wish

Mitsuki stared at that little baby in the hospital's nursery; well actually there was more than one baby in that room, each one of them with their name written in their crib, some were there with their parents and others were alone, some were awake and others were sleeping.

But Mitsuki, for once, wasn't minding all the other babies around him, he was starting particularly at the black haired baby boy that had been born just a few hours ago. The man's golden eyes stared at the name too.

Shikaharu Uchiha-Nara.

Son and first born of two of his friends, one of them being Mitsuki's former teammate and the current Hokage; nonetheless Mitsuki had delivered this child himself, he had been the first one to hold the baby boy, to see him open his mouth and shout his first cries into the world before passing him to his parents.

Albeit, it wasn't the first child Mitsuki had brought to the world, after all it was part of his job in Konoha's hospital; and it also wasn't the first child from close friends that he had seen been born even if he hadn't been the one to deliver them.

And still... with the lives of all those babies and their parents he touched... he couldn't remember ever being hit with such a sensation... it was pretty overwhelming really. To observe the creation of another living being from the beginning... listening to its heartbeat... watching it grow in its mother's belly…

He was coming more and more to the realization that he wasn't just getting used to it, enjoy it... he was fascinated. And often, from time to time... he wondered how it would be to have a child of his own…

Despite already being in his middle 20's, Mitsuki hadn't found anyone to be with; sure he had dated a few here and there but they barely lasted or Mitsuki just didn't feel "the connection" with them, not in the same way Shikadai and Sarada had with each other or the same way Sumire and her husband, Raiden, had.

But Mitsuki, despite not having found the so called 'soulmate' for himself yet, felt that he was ready to have a child of his own; he didn't really care if there wasn't the second parent like in most children's lives, he would love the child in double if needed.

These thoughts continued to wander in Mitsuki's head, so much that by the end of the day, after his shift was over the blue haired man found himself calling Karin through his phone as he made his way back home.

Karin's tone was light and cheerful as she replied to him. "How nice to hear from you again, Mitsuki. I hope everything is good in Konoha?"

The young man couldn't help a small but genuine smile. No matter how old he became, Karin's motherly instinct toward him never changed - and he was actually glad for that. They chatted light-heartedly for a while, just catching up as they always do in their calls, before Mitsuki finally decided to bring up the subject he originally called for.

"Karin... I needed your advice about something." He took a deep breath. Yes, his father had Karin running this... business for a while now... but it wasn't like Mitsuki gave it a lot of thought before. "I... I decided that I really want to raise a child of my own."

The question caught Karin by surprise, of course it did Mitsuki had never showed interest in this before. The woman tried to understand why the sudden change of heart.

"Why is that Mitsuki? I mean, you know it's a big responsibility."

Mitsuki sighed "I know." he sat down on a bench near the park, watching some kids playing together "But I feel like something is missing in my life and working daily with children has made me realize that I want one."

Karin remained silent for a minute. Well, it wasn't really hard to see where Mitsuki was coming from... he had always been a sensitive and caring  person after all. For a brief second she had the image of a mini-Mitsuki, one that called the young man on the phone with her papa... and she couldn't help a smile.

"Well..." she sighed. "You know the process, Mitsuki... Human genes consist of 23 pairs of chromosomes, ideally coming from two parents. Direct cloning is still not a process that's fully developed, one that the resulting baby might not survive." She had to pause because what she was gonna ask next was... extremely personal. "Do you... I mean can you think of someone...?" She had to leave the end of the sentence dangling.

Mitsuki on his end was silent too, before he had called Karin he had decided that he didn't simply want a clone of himself, he didn't just want his father to make another mini clone so that he could raise him. No..that's not what he intended...so when Karin asked if he had anyone in mind, in reality the answer was yes but he still needed to confirm this.

"I do but..I haven't talked to them yet nor I know if they will accept."

He could hear the small sigh Karin tried to hold back "Well, as soon as you are ready to go with this, just call me. I will have everything ready."

"Thank you, Karin."

The call ended and Mitsuki's arm dropped from his ear down to his lap. His eyes still not moving from those children playing in the park.

He stayed still for a while before eventually standing up and walking back home...a bigger house than the one he had when he first moved to Konoha.

But still, it was an empty house.

He pulled off his jacket and put it on the hanger, but didn't turn on the light as he continued walking into the house. It was like he was there for the first time... which was a funny feeling, but he didn't elaborate on that. He just continued to move in silently.

The house consisted of two more rooms other than his bedroom, the living room and the kitchen. One was his study, the room in which he spent most of his time when he's home really. The other was a plain, one-bed only guestroom.The young man walked in there.

It was almost like the room was changing right before his eyes. He would need a crib there... and a little dresser with a changing table... maybe he should also paint the walls because right now they were a dull yellow. Blue if it was a boy, pink if it was a girl…

He didn't know when he started thinking of that, but he suddenly imagined himself as the proud father of a little girl... a warmness settled in his heart as he thought more of it.

He didn't go to his study this time, actually he hadn't even realized that had sat down on the guestroom bed, still imagining all the chances it would need when...if the baby came.

Mitsuki also imagined all the changes the room would have to suffer yet again as the child started growing. How would they be? Quiet like him? Or the complete opposite?

All these thoughts eventually made the blue haired man lay on the bed and drift off to sleep where the thoughts became dreams...very good dreams about his future child.

A couple of days later, Mitsuki returned from a mission. It was funny how Sarada assured the missions kept going despite being on maternity leave; that woman worked way more than he did in the hospital, it was amazing how Shikadai managed to make her sit down, relax and just enjoy the time she had with their baby.

Boruto was also part of the team that had taken this mission, so the two men were just chatting as they walked past the Konoha gates.

"So how was your last date, Boruto?" Mitsuki asked with a hidden chuckle, knowing perfectly well how that date had gone

"Aww man, don't even get me started," the blond complained. It was amusing to Mitsuki that he still retained his trademark pout from when they were back as academy students. He guessed some things never changed.

"She just kept talking and talking, about oh how many places she had been in the world already, about how her father was willing to pay for another travel just at the end of this month... I mean even if she wasn't this self-aware, I was like how are we gonna keep this up, 'ttebasa..." He sighed in mock exasperation. "I. have. the. worst. luck. When it comes to girls anyway."

He then glanced at his best friend, and a smile quickly raised the corners of his lips. "What about you Mitsuki? Wait, lemme guess... you still don't sleep well enough with the time you spend in the hospital, yet alone another date?" His tone was light and teasing.

Mitsuki hummed before showing one of his trademark smiles towards Boruto "I actually had two dates this week" the look on Boruto's face was amusing "But they didn't work out, I guess I'm probably picky when it comes to dates. Or maybe I just don't need to date anyone to be happy."

Boruto pouted again "Well you don't exactly have people asking you to give them grandchildren already" Mitsuki chuckled knowing exactly who he was talking about. Lady Hinata was a very kind person and wanted to see her children happy as well...and of course she wanted them to give her grandchildren.

And ever since Naruto retired from his position as Hokage, he had joined his wife in doing the same. Mitsuki could only guess Boruto was driving crazy.

However soon the smile on the blue haired disappeared, becoming a more thoughtful and serious face "Boruto...I have been thinking..."

"Hm? What, you want to make changes in your living room again?"

"I want to have a child."

That effectively rendered Boruto speechless and more than that, the shock made him just gape at Mitsuki... and walk straight into a light pole. "Ugh... damn..." he muttered as he rubbed his nose, and then turned to his friend again.

"Come again, a-a child?" he stammered. He had never thought of Mitsuki's father, the feared sannin as a grandpa type (well he never gave him much thought, period) but still found himself asking, "What, is your parent driving you crazy about grandchildren too?"

Mitsuki actually chuckled at that... he couldn't ever imagine his father being like that to be honest. It would be downright out of character. "No... he doesn't really care about that stuff." The thoughtful look was still on his face, although softened by a small smile. "I guess... working in the pediatric ward was bound to bring that out sooner or later..."

"But...uh..I mean...kids...babies ....they need attention, they are a huge responsibility and not that I don't think you can't handle that because I think you already do an amazing job at the hospital but..." he looked straight at Mitsuki "They pee, they poop with a killing smell...and they cry a lot. Are you sure you are ready for all that??"

Mitsuki raised an eyebrow "You do all that stuff you named too...and you're an adult."

"It's not the same and you know it Mitsuki" he crossed his arms "But well...if that's what you really want, I will support you. But how are you going to do that if you don't have...you know a second person?"

"I will be going to Karin, I've told you about the laboratory she has been working on and she has had success cases." he stopped in his tracks, Boruto followed and that was when Mitsuki looked at him directly in the eyes "But for that to work I...do need a second person's DNA."

"Oh." was all Boruto could offer to say, pretty much on the dark about the whole genetics and cloning. He thought for a minute about it. "Well... did you think about it? I mean who would be that second person... It is kind of a big decision, a life-altering one even..."

Mitsuki shook his head slightly, his expression serene but serious. "I'm not going to ask for the person to take responsibility... it's my decision to have a child after all, they'll just be the donor, and it's only understandable if they don't want children anytime soon. But..." he paused for a moment, and his eyes glazed as his thoughts wandered. "I... don't really fancy about walking up to a complete stranger for it. It should be someone I know, someone I trusted... preferably someone I had a bond with for some time now..."

"But then who...?" the blond was kinda perplexed now. Seeing that a lot of the girls their age were married or at least engaged at this era... who could it be...?

Mitsuki's mind would probably remain a big mystery for him for years to come.

There was a silence for a while and then Mitsuki stopped walking which caused Boruto to do the same but their eyes never left each other out of sight.

"Boruto..." Mitsuki finally murmured "If I have to pick someone that I really trust, to be part of my child's genetics...then I would like that to be you."
