Understanding Parenteral Nutrition (TPN): Components, Delivery Methods, and Applications
Definition and Purpose of Parenteral Nutrition Parenteral nutrition, also known as total parenteral nutrition or TPN, refers to the delivery of nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the usual process of eating and digestion. It is used for patients who are unable to digest, absorb, or metabolize nutrients from foods or dietary supplements due to conditions like short bowel syndrome, impaired intestinal function, or other severe gastrointestinal issues. The goal of TPN is to provide patients with essential proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients necessary for growth and energy when oral or enteral feeding is not feasible or sufficient. Components of Parenteral Nutrition A typical TPN solution contains macronutrients like glucose, amino acids, fatty acids or lipid emulsions, and added micronutrients like vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Glucose provides the main source of carbohydrate calories while amino acids, primarily from soy, dairy, or corn proteins, serve as the building blocks for the synthesis of new proteins and tissues in the body. Fatty acids provide concentrated calories to increase energy levels. Added vitamins and minerals ensure patients receive adequate levels of essential micronutrients their body needs but cannot obtain from the gut. Some solutions may also include supplementary hormones, fiber, or additional components depending on individual patient needs and medical conditions. Delivery of Parenteral Nutrition TPN is delivered through a central or peripheral venous access catheter, usually placed in large veins in the neck, chest, or groin. The most common type is a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC line) which can remain in place for weeks or months to facilitate repeated TPN infusions. Parenteral Nutrition total nutrient fluids are administered continuously over 10-24 hours via an infusion pump to mimic physiological feeding and allow for proper digestion and absorption. Close monitoring under medical supervision is required as incorrect rates or mixtures can cause serious metabolic complications. Conditions Treated with Parenteral Nutrition Some of the most common clinical conditions requiring long-term TPN support include: - Short bowel syndrome: When a large portion of the small intestine is surgically removed due to diseases like Crohn's, cancer, or vascular thrombosis. - Bowel obstructions or fistulas: Blockages or abnormal connections between bowels that prevent normal nutrient passage and absorption. - Motility disorders: Problems like intestinal neuronal dysplasia that affect proper bowel movement and emptying. - Severe pancreatitis: Inflammation or damage to the pancreas gland that impairs digestive enzyme production. - Radiation enteritis: Damage to the bowel lining from radiation therapy that causes severe malabsorption. - Multiple organ failure: When several vital organs like liver or kidneys stop functioning temporarily or permanently. - Gastrointestinal anomalies: Rare congenital defects in newborns that require bowel surgery or have abnormal gut structure.

At Infinite Innovation Health, we understand the value of radiant skin, aligning with our belief that “Health Is Infinite Wealth” or “Sante Se Riches” in Creole and “Salud Es Riqueza” in Spanish. Living in a sunny climate can give you that sun-kissed glow, but it can also leave your complexion looking dull and dehydrated. While topical treatments offer some benefits, they often fail to address the root cause.

Latest Regulatory Trends Impacting the Controlled-release Fertilizers Market
The global controlled-release fertilizers market is projected to reach USD 2.9 billion by 2028 from USD 2.2 billion by 2023, at a CAGR of 5.9% during the forecast period in terms of value. The controlled-release fertilizers market has witnessed significant growth and established its dominance in the global agriculture industry. According to the World Bank Report 2023, approximately 9.2% of the world’s population faced hunger in 2022, compared with 7.9% in 2019. The rising levels of hunger and food insecurity highlight the urgent need to increase agricultural productivity to ensure food availability. Thus, the increasing demand for enhanced agricultural output while reducing environmental effects is one of the main driving factors. These fertilizers deliver nutrients gradually, enhancing plant absorption while lowering leaching and runoff, which helps reduce water pollution. Furthermore, the use of controlled-release fertilizers is accelerated by the push for sustainable agricultural practices, which are complementary to their advantages.

extra self care routine⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🍦
this 8 step self care routine is meant to be super DUPER over the top but its intended more so to make u feel like the goddess that u are and to simply pamper, and spoil urself as u should...plus you'll smell like a cupcake after 🎀
warning, LONG post ahead but thats because i tried to be thorough and clear on the steps of this 8-step routine.✨🧁
STEP ONE ; ICING UR FACE
the benefits of facial icing include more radiant skin, helps with spider lines, and blemish control. if u wanna know more about icing ur face i recommend u read this.
but typically you'll fill up a bowl with some water and ice and dunk ur face in the ice in 60 second intervals (thats how i like to do it) or you take an ice cube and run that on ur skin.
STEP TWO ; OILING UR HAIR
i personally dont recommend oiling ur hair overnight, once u apply ur hair oil into ur hair let it sit for 30 minutes - 4 hours depending on how much time u have on ur hands, but if ur gonna do the 8 step self care ritual i would assume u had some time.
use the scalp massaging tool for blood flow to ur head and MASSAGE. imagine all of ur stress seeping out of ur body. it might sound strange, but when im doing this step i imagine myself rearranging and organizing my thoughts 💀.
while ur doing this whole routine i recommend playing an affirmation tape in the background, or ur favorite playlist. 🧁
STEP THREE ; MASKS
next i'll use a spray bottle and wet my hair before going in with my hair mask, and once thats in ur hair use the claw clip to keep ur hair up and out of ur face.
now its time for the facial mask and i recommend keeping kind of an ARSENAL of masks, whether its a liquid or clay mask or sheet masks just have them on u because i usually do face masks of any sort 1-2 times a week for my LUSTROUS glow.
while u have the hair and face masks in, its a good time to do some dry brushing to remove dead skin cells and improve blood circulation. some other masks that u can do to be EXTRA are lip masks and under eye masks.
STEP FOUR ; IN THE SHOWER
wash ur hair as you would usually do, use the body scrub before using a body wash that has similar tones to the body scrub (this is called scent layering) and while in the shower i recommend to do a shower meditation.
if y'all r interested i'll make a shower meditation guide and u can record ur own voice doing the meditation so u can use it ✨
while ur in the shower make sure to be meticulous and take ur time while u wash ur body. do double cleansing so that u can ensure that you're squeaky clean.
now is also the time to shave if u like to do that and remember use a body scrub BEFORE u shave and once ur out of the shower to use a body oil to prevent ingrowns and to just have a smoother shave in general.
STEP FIVE ; OUT OF THE SHOWER
use ur body oil and ur body lotion, this kind of goes along with the before bed slugging notion which gives the SOFTEST most amazing skin in the morning so i highly recommend it.
HOT TIP FROM HONEY ; using a warmed up towel adds to the whole spa experience so i def recommend that, warming up towels/blankets/robes makes me feel so cozy and toasty 🧋✨
the formula for before bed slugging is (body oil + body lotion + a thick body butter/cream)
STEP SIX ; REPAIR AND REPLENISH
once your out of the shower and you’ve slugged ur body, use a leave in conditioner to repair and soothe damaged hair.
use a face milk
cuticle oil
now’s the time to use pimple patches
and things of that nature in general
this ensures that ur being absolutely meticulous and replenishing ur body the proper way. taking care of ur base so that u can make it absolutely GLOW ✨
STEP SEVEN ; FACIAL MASSAGE
use a gua sha and any other facial massage tools to help blood circulation and just be EXTRA. to sculpt ur face like the goddess you are.
facial massage stimulates blood circulation, promoting oxygen flow and nutrient delivery to the skin cells. facial massage helps to release the tension held in the facial muscles, alleviating stress lines and promoting a more youthful appearance.
AND if ur consistent with facial massage, you'll can enhance skin elasticity AND diminish fine lines.
STEP EIGHT ; YOGA AND STRETCHES
nothing feels better then massaging and stretching stiff limbs, especially if u have pains or aches in ur body. look up a follow along, super light, yoga routine or a stretching routine.
i think that a rly good stretch is the perfect way to end ur super duper over the top 8 step self care routine 💗🎀

I've been having quite a few thoughts about a food dystopian world, where you have got all these companies designing the most addictive foods possible, exploiting basic human psychology and biology. They don't care that you get fat in the process. In fact, it's encouraged, as you'll be able to eat more of their food. Everything is extremely processed. Nutrients don't matter, only taste and addictiveness. Make it as easy as possible to overindulge, by adding delivery services and subscriptions. Flood any entertainment program with ads for their food to make you crave it and get hungry again whenever you sit down for a moment. Build huge signs with their logos anywhere you go, constantly reminding you of the pleasure and indulgence you could be enjoying. The fatter and more addicted you get, the less you care about what exactly it is you're putting into your body. You will just keep eating and eating the processed and fattening garbage these companies decided to get you addicted to, blowing up in the process. Actually heathy options become scarce and expensive, making them less and less desirable. Just eat whatever makes you feel good. Have your comfort food, your cheat meal, your favorite snacks, a meal that makes you feel good. Don't think, just eat.
... Then I realized, that this exactly the world we live in — and that's fucking hot.

if you try to police disabled peoples' diets INCLUDING how they spend their money on food: i just want to ask why? what do you gain from this? like seriously, what do you actually gain from displaying holier-than-thou behavior toward another person's spending and dietary habits? who cares if you would spend your money "better"? you're not them. this is a form of abuse. you literally have no idea what the disabled person can safely digest and actually gains nutrients and energy from. you have no clue, even if you share the same disorder, you are not that person, nor are you their gastroenterologist or other specialist.
telling disabled people to "eat healthier," "eat more salads," "eat more fresh fruits," "eat more fresh vegetables," "eat more grains," and so on can not only be outwardly dangerous for people who have digestive issues like inflammatory bowel diseases, gastroparesis, irritable bowel disease, acid reflux, a history of ulcers, gastritis, and a long list of other digestive health issues, it can outright kill someone if they form a blockage. this can also injure, sicken or kill diabetics, people with non-diabetic low or high blood sugar, blood pressure issues, kidney and liver issues, and many other people.
not only that but you're potentially forcing a neurodivergent person to eat foods that nauseate, sicken, or disgust them, and for what? autistic people know what foods are safe for them to eat. adhd people need to find finds they can manage to keep in their homes without spoiling. dissociative people, people with ADHD, head trauma, develeopmental disorders, other people with memory issues, dementia, alzheimers, psychotic people, and other mental and cognitive health issues need foods they can prepare safely, because many mentally ill and neurodivergent people can't safe;y cook without risk of injury or damage to their home.
people who deal with allergies and intolerances are constantly struggling with being told how to eat when they are the ones who know their experience the most. NOBODY gives a fuck about people with allergies and literally nobody takes food intolerances seriously. i can't digest animal products OR byproducts anymore. i lost the ability. but sometimes i question "maybe i can try it again because this food is cheaper." well. i decided i was spending too much on groceries due to inflation and bought cow's milk instead of almond milk and got so sick it was something i had never seen before. i do NOT need to prioritize "saving money" over eating foods i can safely digest. i had an IBS attack early this morning because i ate some cheese- because it is a "cheap, easy source of protein."
some disabled people need to use certain services like pre-prepared foods being delivered to their homes, be it meals on wheels, or hello fresh. guilting these people for using the services because they could "just cook at home" is insulting to say the least. many of these services have tailored meals with consistent ingredients with limitations on contaminants with allergens.
here's the big one that everyone fucking hates but needs to accept immediately: some disabled people are too exhausted, in pain, dissociated, psychotic, unable to focus, unable to follow instructions, or in other ways unable to cook for themselves and need to use food delivery services like doordash and uber eats.
some disabled people can't or don't want to drive due to their disabilities! blind disabled people exist! para- and quadriplegics exist! people with hand tremors exist! working disabled people exist! amputees exist! disabled parents exist! disabled people who care for partners and family exist!
this one is sooooooo taboo and i'm sick of it. first of all, dashers and uber drivers are every day people who need to earn income. these are people's jobs and their lives are in fact on the line because this is a lot of drivers' primary income. enough with guilting people on this one. i'm fucking sick of it. y'all hate independently employed people and it shows. this isn't a luxury just relegated to rich white moms: disabled people need to have prepared, easy to eat foods delivered to our homes too. y'all need to leave people the fuck alone when it comes to takeout.
the second someone poorer and more disabled than you does something you do regularly, suddenly you're sending articles and giving paragraphs and paragraphs of advice on how to spend money better and how the disabled person "just needs to eat rice, beans, ramen, and frozen vegetables" because disabled people are not allowed comfort NOR convenience in your eyes. this is absolutely asinine. stop it. EATING is not relegated to the privileged
disabled people are people and need to eat. why you are prioritizing money over a literal human need is beyond me this is sick behavior. why do you care so much more about the money than the person ?why is money more important than someone's safety to you? why would anyone rather see someone "spend money the right way" over a human being EATING FOOD and especially foods they KNOW won't make them sick. policing how any disabled person spends their money on food is also unnecessary and abusive. it serves nothing to gain and everything to lose. so what if you think a disabled person spends too much money on food? you do too- we all do: food should be fucking free. get over yourself and let disabled people eat. leave your greed at the door, stop feeling entitled over other peoples' finances and spending habits.
telling a disabled person how to "eat healthier" will not make you healthier, and it will not do them any good, either. all it does is serve to stroke your ego because you believed you ""helped"" someone but all you did was give unsolicited advice that will be forever moot because you do not live in that person's body. don't care if you know them personally: you ain't them. so back off, let disabled people eat. food ain't just for the rich. food ain't just for the abled. let people access food in ways that are safe for us or get the fuck out of our way because all you're doing is causing problems and making disabled people's health problems WORSE.

Boost hair growth naturally
THE BIOCHEMICAL POWER OF TEAS AND NUTRIENT-RICH FOODS
Herbal teas and their role in hair growth
🌸Green Tea
Active Components
the powerhouse in green tea is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a potent antioxidant
Biochemical Mechanism
EGCG helps in blocking the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Elevated DHT levels are linked to hair loss, particularly androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern baldness). By reducing DHT production, green tea helps in preventing hair follicle shrinkage and hair thinning. Additionally, the polyphenols in green tea enhance blood circulation to the scalp, ensuring that hair follicles receive the necessary nutrients and oxygen to thrive.
Usage
Drink 2-3 cups of green tea daily to reap its hair-boosting benefits. It can also be used as a rinse post-shampooing to stimulate the scalp directly.
🌸Nettle Tea
Active Components
Nettle is rich in iron, silica, magnesium, and vitamins A, C, D, and K.
Biochemical Mechanism
Nettle tea works as a natural DHT blocker, similar to green tea. Its high iron content supports hemoglobin production, enhancing oxygen delivery to the scalp and hair follicles. This is crucial because a well-oxygenated scalp provides an optimal environment for hair growth. The silica and sulfur in nettle also strengthen hair strands, improving hair’s structural integrity and reducing breakage.
Usage
Regular consumption of nettle tea (1-2 cups daily) can provide these essential nutrients. Additionally, a cooled nettle infusion can be used as a hair rinse to further strengthen hair shafts.
🌸Rosemary Tea
Active Components
Rosemary contains ursolic acid and caffeic acid.
Biochemical Mechanism
Ursolic acid found in rosemary improves scalp circulation, similar to EGCG in green tea. This ensures that hair follicles are well-nourished, promoting robust hair growth. Rosemary also has anti-inflammatory properties, which help in maintaining a healthy scalp environment by reducing potential scalp conditions like dandruff, which can hinder hair growth.
Usage
Drinking 1-2 cups of rosemary tea daily or using it as a hair rinse can provide these benefits. Infusing rosemary oil into your tea can further amplify its effects due to the added antioxidants.
Nutrient-dense foods for hair growth
🌸Biotin-rich foods
Key Foods
Eggs, almonds, sweet potatoes, spinach, and seeds.
Biochemical Mechanism
Biotin (Vitamin B7) is crucial for the production of keratin, the structural protein that makes up your hair. It acts as a coenzyme in fatty acid synthesis, which is essential for the growth and repair of cells, including hair cells. A deficiency in biotin can lead to hair thinning and brittleness.
Incorporation
Incorporate biotin-rich foods into your diet regularly. For example, adding a boiled egg to your breakfast or including sweet potato as a side dish can help maintain adequate biotin levels.
🌸Iron-rich foods
Key Foods
Lentils, red meat, spinach, and fortified cereals.
Biochemical Mechanism
Iron is essential for producing hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen to tissues, including the scalp. Oxygenated blood nourishes hair follicles, facilitating the growth of strong, healthy hair. Iron deficiency is one of the most common causes of hair loss, particularly in women.
Incorporation
Combine iron-rich foods with vitamin C-rich foods like oranges or bell peppers to enhance absorption. For example, a spinach salad with orange slices can optimize iron intake and support hair growth.
🌸Omega-3 fatty acids
Key Foods
Fatty fish (salmon, mackerel), flaxseeds, chia seeds, and walnuts.
Biochemical Mechanism
Omega-3 fatty acids are integral to maintaining the lipid barrier of the scalp, which helps retain moisture and protect hair from drying out and breaking. They also reduce inflammation, which can sometimes hinder hair growth by causing scalp conditions like psoriasis or dandruff. Omega-3s contribute to the overall health of cell membranes in the scalp, making them more resilient.
Incorporation
Aim to consume fatty fish at least twice a week or add flaxseeds to your smoothies or cereals. Walnuts can also be a great snack option to keep your omega-3 levels adequate.
🌸Zinc-rich foods
Key Foods
Oysters, pumpkin seeds, chickpeas, and cashews.
Biochemical Mechanism
Zinc plays a key role in DNA and RNA production, which is essential for the division of hair follicle cells. It also helps regulate the production of androgens, a hormone linked to hair loss when imbalanced. Moreover, zinc helps in repairing hair tissue and maintaining oil glands around hair follicles, which are crucial for healthy hair growth.
Incorporation
Include zinc-rich foods in your diet, like a handful of pumpkin seeds as a snack or adding chickpeas to salads and stews.
🌸Vitamin E-rich foods
Key Foods
Sunflower seeds, almonds, spinach, and avocados.
Biochemical Mechanism
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps repair damaged hair follicles, which can be a barrier to hair growth. It also improves blood circulation to the scalp, ensuring that hair follicles are nourished. Vitamin E helps balance oil production in the scalp, preventing dryness or excess oil, both of which can impede hair growth.
Incorporation
Sprinkle sunflower seeds on your yogurt or salads, or incorporate avocados into your meals for a healthy dose of vitamin E.

How to Naturally Balance Your Hormones
Get enough protein. Proteins provide amino acids that your body cannot make on its own and are needed to produce peptide hormones. These hormones play a crucial role in regulating several physiological processes, including growth, energy metabolism, appetite, stress, and more.
Get enough sleep. Sleep is one of the most important factors in hormonal imbalance. The levels of hormones can rise and fall throughout the day due to the quality of sleep.
Exercise regularly. Getting enough physical activity strongly influences your hormonal health. It enhances hormone receptor sensitivity, helping the delivery of nutrients and hormone signals.
Maintain a moderate weight. Weight gain is directly associated with hormonal imbalances. Obesity relates to a lack of ovulation in women. Eating within your calorie range can help maintain hormonal balance.
Eat plenty of fiber. Fiber plays a role in gut health, helping regulate hormones like insulin.
Watch your gut health. Your gut produces numerous metabolites that can affect hormone health.
Eat healthy fats. Healthy fat intake can work to maintain balanced hormones that are involved with appetite, metabolism, and feeling full.
Lower sugar intake. Minimizing added sugar intake can help balance hormones. Eating added sugar promotes insulin resistance, and fructose intake is linked to disruptions in the gut microbiome, ultimately leading to hormonal imbalances.
Reduce stress. Stress can significantly harm the body’s hormones in many ways. Work to decrease and manage your daily stress.
#Wild yam extract (topically) and don quai supplements (internally) help too#because imbalanced hormones cause depression#and gender dysphoria#your endocrine system loves you please be nice to it#don’t pay money to big pharma every month to imbalance your hormones on purpose - that’s dumber than smoking cigarettes#and should be equally as illegal for kids
