Here's something you don't see everyday!

Currumbin Wildlife sanctuary has a daily show where they feed the Wild Eels that live in the water adjacent to the sanctuary.

They would stomp their feet along the shore and a dozen of eels would come right up for a snack. It was crazy and super interesting.

I'm not great at bird ID but I am truly bad at bugs. Hover? Flower? Almost certainly some kind of fly, northeastern Illinois. @onenicebugperday ?? (Oooo thanks, got a reply! Per them, it is actually a sand loving wasp in the genus Tachytes 🥹)

Is this the third time I've posted a picture of this frog on a lily pad? Yes. Is it slightly different than the last two, but it's still the same frog and lily? Yes. Do I care? No. I just thought it was neat. Me and Marge Simpson, shaking hands while she's holding a potato and I'm holding this frog and lily.

tbh I think the most long term thing people need to do is socialize more across age groups. There's just so many takes that only make sense if you spend all day with people who are both politically and generationally aligned, you lose the history you need to learn from to get what you want across the line.

log the fuck off, understand that a safe space is not necessarily always comfortable, and get out there.
