The year 2023 will be a good year for Caryl,I honestly belive that.
I know it's hard sometimes to find the light in a sea of darkness, but we have so mutch to look forword too.
Back in September Melissa said this in an interview with EW
when asked about the possibility of more Peletier, a sly smile crosses McBride’s face. “I feel like Carol has more story to tell,” she responds before pausing. “I’ll leave it at that.” Another pause. “I think she’s got some more story.” Another sly grin.
Read between the lines of what Melissa said and did in this interview, she is basickly telling us Carol will be back but can't share any more details about it just yet.
Norman has foot in mouth syndrome, combined that with thin skin and a tendency to twist the truth sometimes. I do understand why he pisses of a lot of people, and it makes it harder for some fans to belive a word he says.
That being said,it doesn't mean that every time Norman opens his mouth he automatically lies.
Norman said this back in September
Their journey's not over... They will meet down the road. You can pretty much bet all your money. You don’t know she’s not going to show up on the spinoff. I’ll just leave it at that. She’s a very big part of Daryl’s story,It’s all gonna be OK.
Back In October at NYCC Norman said
I really love working with Melissa, like she's honestly (he paused as the audience cheered for Melissa)yeah you know there's been a lot of talk, chill it's gonne be fine.
I think a lot of us had the assumption Norman was talking about Carol and Daryl on the main show,so when we didn't get full cannon in the finale episode. It left fans feeling sad and disappointed, but to be honest i don't think Norman was talking about the finale episodes of the main show but more of the story that comes after for Carol and Daryl.
If you read between the lines of what he is saying,Norman is telling us Carol and Daryl will reunite in the Le Daryl spinoff.
I know that's not what we wanted, the promise was a Caryl spinoff with them as equals not Melissa showing up as a guest in his spinoff.
A lot of time has passed since the AMC announced statement, and even though there was tension between them back at SDCC. They where spotted laughing and jokeing with each other durring the commercials on the finale event,so that tells me things are good between them now.
We know Daryl doesn't get far on his solo journey before he gets taken,i'm assumeing it's by the CRM.He wakes up in Paris and tries to find his way back home.Norman said Judith last line to daryl "you deserve a happy ending too" is one thing that will carry over to the spinoff.I belive while Daryl is in France,he will realize and admit to himself Carol is his happy ending.
So how does Carol end up in Paris? I can see 3 different scenarios...
1. Carol also gets taken by the CRM around the same time Daryl does, since they don't get captured together. They don't know about the other one being captured, before they meet face to face in Paris. I belive Pamela is a part of the CRM,the 2 last people in Pamelas cell before the door closed was Carol and Daryl.Reasons as to why they get captured...
2. Carol orr someone from Alexandria finds Daryls bike, she knows something must have happen for him to leave his bike behind.Haveing Lance Hornsby old job, leads her to find different clues that points to destination 2 being a prison camp in Paris.Carol sets sail on a boat from Oceanside to find Daryl, maybe she brings with her some familier faces.
3. In the finale episode we saw Rick leave behind 2 clues to tell team family he was still alive, reasons why he smiled at the end.Michonne found the second clue with his bag that had his boots and phone, the first clue was the letter in a bottle. What if the bottle mail ends up at Oceanside, they give the letter to Carol. In the letter Rick gives the location of the prison camp in Paris where he was held hostage,as well as his last location before he was captured again.Carol organize a search party to go look for Rick, without knowing Daryl have also been captured by the same people. So when she arrives in Paris, she not only finds Rick and Michonne. She also finds Daryl, and maybe some other familier faces as well.
Cassady McClincy, Ross Marquand and Eleanor Matsuura was spotted in France around the same time Le Daryl spinoff started filming. Maybe it's just a coincidence, and they where all on separate vacations.Seth Gilliam also said he wished for father Gabriel to get hit in the head and wake up with a french accent,i took that as a way for Seth to say he wants to be in the spinoff.
We still don't know the official name of the spinoff,is it still a solo spinoff by Daryl orr have it now changed to a Caryl spinoff? If it changed to a Caryl spinoff, they might not want to announce it before they are done filming and they are ready to promote it.
Maybe the finale episode of Le Daryl leads to the Caryl spinoff, after Rick and Michonne are rescued they returne to Alexandria to be reunited with Judith and RJ. With Rick and Michonne back in the picture,Daryl and Carol no longer have the responsibility of looking after the Kids. They are free to travel the world together, and be each others happy ending. I wouldn't mind a honeymoon in New Mexico ❤❤❤
Maybe each season will focuse on a different City orr Country, with interesting new characters. If the show is a hit, maybe we will see Carol and Daryl haveing children of their own at some point 🙏

1960s Psychedelia and its Art Nouveau Influences
If you're familiar with older music, you've probably seen the famous music posters and handbills of the 1960s. Featuring vibrant colors and lurid designs, these advertisements sought to absorb and reflect the contemporary cultural ideas of revolution, psychedelia, and free love.
Tumblr media
The artistic styling of these posters was strongly influenced by the Art Nouveau movement that had taken Europe and America by storm over half a century before. Art Nouveau took inspiration from nature to create architecture, interior design, and fine art with lurid, organic shapes, a direct contrast to the square, gray cityscapes of the Industrial Revolution in the late 1800s/1900s.
See below the metro entrances designed by Hector Guimard, installed in Paris between 1900 and 1912; The Kiss (1907) by Gustav Klimt; the Pond Lily Table Lamp (1903) created by Louis Comfort Tiffany, heir to Tiffany & Co.

But why was Art Nouveau so popular with the artists behind music posters in the Summer of Love?
Although Art Nouveau pieces often depict scenes of harmony, simplicity, and love, the movement itself had existed as a form of revolution, a call for a return to peace with nature. Likewise, the hippie movement and other counterculture scenes of the 1960s were in part a rebellion against the strict cultural hegemony of the post-World War II era. The children of the suburban Baby Boom generation just now coming into adulthood saw in Art Nouveau a similar yearning for change and harmony with Mother Earth.
The congruence between these two movements is undeniable. Several famous music posters of the late 1960s even directly lifted figures from Art Nouveau paintings, most often from the work of the famed Czech commercial artist Alphonse Mucha.

Like the quickly evolving landscape wrought by the Industrial Revolution at the turn of the century, the 1960s were also a time of great cultural upheaval. The hippie, Civil Rights, and anti-war movements drove young people to protests and concerts featuring experimental new music and new ideas. The artists behind the music posters of the era turned to Art Nouveau to reflect a similar time of cultural change, as well as the re-emerging desire to connect to nature seen within the hippie movement.
Alphonse Mucha was famous for his hundreds of paintings featuring women, whom he often used to depict natural forces such as weather or the change of seasons. Norman Orr, an artist for the 1960s musician Bill Graham, was inspired by the "sensuality of the graceful, flowing lines of the Mucha's work and the way that the female form was combined with the sensuality of the line work."
Below: Absinthe Robette By Henri Privat-Livemont (1886) and Pink Floyd Marquee Club by Bob Masse (1966).
Tumblr media
The sensual female form employed by Mucha (and much of Art Nouveau in general) was combined with the drug-fueled psychedelia of the time to create the famous eye-catching posters, perfectly reflecting the cultural fervor of the late 1960s. The posters themselves became valued collectors items, taken home by the young, revolution-minded fans who flooded the cities where these musicians played.
Today we can empathize with the emotions these posters convey. Like the artists of the Industrial Revolution and their audiences, the counterculture youth of the late 1960s sought revolutionary change. Artists of the time naturally drew inspiration from the art of a previous revolutionary period with similar sentiment. Could another rebirth of Art Nouveau be approaching as our generation fights the climate crisis and rebels in music and on the streets?

THE FRONT ROOM (2024)
Starring Brandy Norwood, Andrew Burnap, Neal Huff, Kathryn Hunter, David Manis, Mary Catherine Wright, Ellen J. Maddow, Mary Testa, Morgen McKynzie, Kerry Flanagan, Rueby Wray, Chasity Monroe Orr, Charlize Essence Orr, Scottie DiGiacomo, Toree Hill, Desi Ramos and the voice of Wendy Heagy.
Screenplay by Max Eggers & Sam Eggers.
Directed by Max Eggers & Sam Eggers.
Distributed by A24. Pictures. 95 minutes. Rated R.
That is 95 minutes of my life that I will never get back. Look, you learn early on in the movie reviewing world that you won’t like every movie you see. That’s just part of the gig. However, it’s a pretty rare stinker which makes you literally angry as you are walking out of the theater – I spent my time watching this when I could have been doing… anything else in the world?
Truth to tell, I went into The Front Room pretty naïve to what it was about. I had seen the trailer, so I had a basic idea of the storyline. (By the way, it turns out the trailer gives away a pretty significant late plot point which should have never been included in the ad, and it probably wouldn’t have been in a better film, or a better trailer.)
However, two things kind of intrigued me about the film. First of all, it was a horror film starring Brandy (Norwood), the 90s soul-pop singer (“The Boy Is Mine,” “Have You Ever” and “Sittin’ In My Room”) and TV actress (Moesha, Cinderella). It’s not even that surprising that she was doing horror, because she was in the two late ‘90s I Know What You Did Last Summer retro-slasher films. I was not even that big a fan of Brandy’s work, but it had been probably 20-25 years since I had seen her do anything of note. So, the attraction was more about me wondering whatever became of her. (Well, I did see her in a bad Netflix Christmas romance movie last year with Heather Graham and Jason Biggs on Netflix. But no matter how bad that film was, it’s Citizen Kane as compared to this.)
The other interesting thing to me is that it was being distributed by A24, a movie studio which is known for taking some real chances and releasing some truly eccentric films. Honestly, only about one in three of their films totally work – and lots of them are extremely strange – but they are always interesting and different.
Well in fairness, The Front Room is different. It’s even interesting, I suppose – I was never bored or distracted during the film. Of course, that was partially because I was constantly shocked that this movie could sink as low and be as heavy-handed and completely unrealistic as it was. I mean, I get it, horror movies aren’t supposed to make sense in real life (and honestly, this was not so much scary as it was disturbing and disgusting), but even by the loose logical standards of thrillers, The Front Room is built on some real whoppers.
And the bogeyman in this film is a 5’1” tall, extremely frail little old lady who needs two canes to walk.
The story… so to speak… is about Belinda (Brandy) and Norman (Andrew Burnap), a young academic mixed-race couple expecting their first child. (I mention the fact that they are biracial not because I care about it, but because that becomes a plot point later.) She is an adjunct professor at a local college hoping to get full-time status, he’s a struggling lawyer hoping that a big upcoming case will open the door for his dream job. They have bought their dream home, and they are struggling financially (she can’t even afford to buy paint for the baby’s nursery).
Everything changes when Norman receives a call from Solange (Kathryn Hunter), his stepmother. From the second that he hears her voice, Norman goes into PTSD mode; a simpering, deadened, frightened child. Solange tells Norman that his father is dying of cancer and if he wants to make amends with dad, it’ll have to be now. Norman refuses to go to see him, calling his stepmother a holy roller, evil and the bane of his existence. However, when dad dies, Belinda convinces him to go to the funeral, saying he’d never forgive himself if he didn’t.
At the funeral they are given a Faustian bargain. Solange would give them all of her money (it is never said exactly how much that was, but it was obviously a very substantial amount) if they would allow her to live with them, which was apparently dad’s last wish. They are torn – particularly Norman, who actively dislikes the woman – but with that money so many of their problems would be solved.
Therefore, they agree to it, and Solange starts to insinuate herself into their life and home. From the beginning she is a cramp on their lifestyles, her devout religiosity, her backhanded compliments, her insistence on imposing her will on the house and their new baby, her frailty and medical issues. Many of Solange’s snipes are small and petty – she insists on referring to Belinda as Belinder and Norman as Norman Gene (which reminded me of Marilyn Monroe every single time she did it). And it turns out that she is a proud daughter of the Confederacy, which of course makes Belinda uncomfortable.
Soon she is spitefully using her frailty as a weapon – I’m serious, you’ve never seen so much poop, pee and vomit in your life – to make Belinda’s life a living hell. Oddly, Norman, who was so afraid of the woman that he nearly faded into himself just weeks earlier, seems to settle into Solange’s chaos with a shrug. Also, it appears that Solange may have some sort of psychic power – she seems to know things she would have no way of knowing. She also may be less feeble than she seems (Belinda sees her walking without her canes at one point). And she is constantly bringing weird religious friends into the house who seem like cast members from a road company of Rosemary’s Baby.
Now, it may be a fool’s errand to point out the many, many plot inconsistencies which pop up here. For example, when Solange’s medical needs become too much for Belinda to deal with, why don’t they just hire a home health nurse? They suddenly have all of Solange’s money, they could undoubtedly afford it. Also, how does Norman go from despising and distrusting Solange to taking the old woman’s word over that of his own wife?
The biggest problem is Solange herself, though. The character is so over-the-top, so cartoonish, so completely unbelievable that she is nearly impossible to take seriously as a villain. Hey, I dislike holy rollers as much as the next guy, and I have my share of crotchety elderly relatives, but I don’t buy this character for a second. Frankly, it’s pretty ageist and anti-religious.
Then The Front Room uses the most cynical, amoral “happy” ending that it could possibly have grafted onto its diseased flesh. I actually cringed when I heard people clapping for this plot point at the screening I went to.
I cannot stress strongly enough how much I hated (yes, I used the “h” word) The Front Room. Avoid it at all costs.

The central image on this outstanding “Poster From The Past” is a hand drawn Artwork of a Tiger, a Leopard. a Lion, a Chimpanzee, two Giraffes, an Antelope and several Elephants ALL charging the viewer…. Whoa!! Also in the image are three African drummers. There is a lot going on here and a great deal of detail in the lettering and borders as well. A truly fine piece done by the artist Norman Orr in his very first poster that he did for Bill Graham. His style is characterized by a great deal of detail and precision and he always strove for a high degree of realism in his drawings which enabled him to create images which often seemed to approach what I feel is close to photo realism!
Interesting foot note here…. On the left side of the Lion at the top, If that’s not Carlos Santana, it looks enough like him that he, (so I’ve learned), that he purchase the original Artwork around the time of the concert!
And sooo, It was 53 years ago over at the Fillmore West here in San Francisco, that Santana, Dr. John The Night Tripper, & Luther Allison played four consecutive nights of Dance/concerts Light show for those nights was provided by “Heavy Water”. This is Number #248 in the original BG series and was printed only one time.

Season 1 of Le Daryl just wrapped,Norman on his way to New York.
If the rumours are true and they are filming the seasons back to back, then maybe season 2 takes place in New York/New Jersey?
Unless he is just going to NY to visit friends/family...Could be...
What if...and i know it's a BIG what if...
(This is me speculating a bit)
What if the bottle post Rick threw in the ocean, turns up at Oceanside?
Maybe Carol orr someone els who knows Rick finds it?
I would guess Rick wrote down the location of where he has been,if Carol knows exactly where he is.
I would assume she would lead the charge of a rescue mission,to try and find him to bring him home.
There is a picture on twitter of Norman in a boat,i assume that's how Daryl gets home.
Maybe Daryl ends up in New Jersey not far from where Rick is?
We get the Rick and Daryl reunion, maybe he gets captured as well and that's how he finds Rick.
Then here comes Carol to save the day,she blows some shit up..
She finds Rick and Michonne
I got your letter sunshine
Maybe Rick is the one who tells Carol about Daryl being there as well, maybe it's been a year orr two since she last saw him?
There reunion has to be better then Terminus, the only thing that can beat that... is if they run to each other and lock lips....a reunion with a kiss 🤞🤞
