Batman stops a man named Zeko who’s forging Norman Rockwell paintings.

Batman makes his way to the scene of the Murray building explosion, no casualties as it was run down for over forty years. He meets with Sergeant Essen and explains how it had to have been bombs planted that destroyed the building.

A man on a motorcycle plants another set of bombs in Smiley’s superstore and freaks out when homeless people come out of the building. Batman finds out both buildings were owned by a Stewart Grean, meaning this is a targeted crime.

Batman finds Stewart in a bar, and tells the other patrons they had ten seconds to get out before he dealt with Stewart. While believing him to be the culprit, another news report comes on the TV to state there’s been a third bombing.

As he arrives at the scene of the third bombing, he thinks of how Zeko mentioned doing crime not for the money, but for the art of it. Batman looks up and notices the older buildings of Gotham City that were once hidden by the abandoned buildings.

As Batman examines old blueprints of Gotham City’s architecture, the mysterious bomber sets a semtex charge in the same Wayne Foundation building Bruce is currently in! And all that’s left is to continue reading in “Legends of the Dark Knight #27!”

In Memoriam: Norm Breyfogle

Earlier this month (24 September), it was announced that Norman Keith "Norm" Breyfogle has died. At fifty-eight, he was much too young to go. He was an American artist, best known for his comic book art on the Batman franchise from 1987 to 1995. During his time on the Batman book, he co-created the villains Ventriloquist, Ratcatcher, Anarky, Jeremiah Arkham, Victor Zsasz, and Amygdala. In 1992 he was tapped to redesign Batman. However, two years prior, he was also approached, along with a number of artists, to redesign Robin. While DC Comics eventually chose the design from Neal Adams, Norm Breyfogle submitted many designs and even penciled the first instance where Tim Drake official became Robin (center). Imaged Used:
