I'm thinking about that infamous "Kate Bush didn't come first" picture again. While it is true Kate didn't come first and wasn't the first mainstream weird girl, it's odd to claim she stole and trashed women that came before her:
* without giving sources stating how and why or her directly saying it
* not entirely explaining how she stole from them besides music and aesthetics, like not giving any strong arguments or examples
* the way it is written makes it sound like kate bush murdered akiko yano, asha puthli, stevie nicks and noosha fox
I'm not defending KB because she's not perfect at all, but to claim that a woman who started her career as a teen girl who was backed by way bigger rockstars when she gained traction is a bit exaggerated. Especially if you claim that she stole the witchy boho style from Stevie Nicks which is a huge reach. Not only because Stevie is contemporary to her, but also because Stevie was inspired by women like Grace Slick and was also heavily reliant on romani fashions (Nicks, not Slick) while referring to herself as the g**** queen. Not to mention fashion trends that went from 1920s revival to medieval/renaissance revival that Fox, Bush and Nicks were part of. Also, no mention of Julie Driscoll, one of the first big women in prog rock and a possible influence to Kate? No Nico?
I don't know. The board is old, but a great recommendation to some great women, but you could at least give sources saying where Kate put these women down and talk about them without painting Kate Bush as the villian and ignoring the impact she's had.

"Strange ships sailing in the moonlight. Round trips from dawn to midnight. Look at those strange ships. Flickering like satellites. Coming to sail us away. Oh, sail us away".

Hello Neil! Are you familiar with the joke about nobody ever remembering where they heard Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time, it just always being there?
That's how Good Omens is for me. I joined the fandom properly a couple months ago, but as far back as I can remember any good omens stuff I've seen I've always been like "oh haha that's the story about the angel and the demon who are in love, I love that one". Up until actually reading/watching it I had never looked up what the plot was about, or actually looked up anything about it.
That is lovely.
I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard Bohemian Rhapsody. I was in Crawley, aged 14, at one of the very first gigs I attended, a band called Fox, with a lead singer called Noosha Fox. And before the gig they played music over the speakers. Bohemian Rhapsody was played and it was weirdly life-changing, in a way that the gig itself would not be.
