ok so i think i figured out ‘could god make a boulder even they couldnt move’

and the answer is yes cuz if theyre like a creation deity they can by default make anything up to and including the entire whole of the cosmos and like you cant move literally the entirety of the cosmos all at once cuz theres nothing binding the entirety of it together

similarly any boulder of increasing size is basically bound to reach a point where like the structural integrity of it is such that the pressure required to move it by hands of a static size from a being of infinite strength will make a little bit of it collapse on itself rather than move the whole thing

and like yeah then the deity can just make a thing to help them move it or rescale themselves or whatever but thats not ‘can they move it’ thats then become ‘can they move it while assuming a load distributing surface’ which doesnt feel like the spirit of the question

That's why the plot is so heavily character driven. That's why progress is marked by helping people move on from the past. That's why the game ends (and can only truly end) by asking us to let go.
