Drabble Roulette: Andy - Public Sex

Hey hey! This weekend (July 6 -7) I’m going to be playing drabble roulette! I’ve curated a list of characters, tropes, AUs, and kinks and I’m spinning the wheel! Hopefully I can do this once a month as a little writing exercise.

Character: Andy Barber

Explicit, 18+.

You yawn as you hang your towel over the bar. Work trips are exhausting. You have even less time yourself and with it goes all your energy. In those few hours you have, you try to enjoy them. 

You’re over reading. Too stagnant. So, you finally decide to venture down to the hotel pool and swim a few laps. They’ll tire you out enough to fall asleep and get some of the kinks out from those uncomfortable conference room chairs. 

Thankfully, you’re the only one who got the idea. It’s offseason for most hotels. Kids are in school, parents are stuck in offices, and only those on the road take up the vacancies. You bask in the solace as you sit on the edge and dangle your legs into the water. 

You slide down slowly, adjusting to the temperature little by little. You walk deeper into the pool, dipping down so your shoulders are beneath the surface. You spread your arms and take a breath. You put your head under and pull through the water with your arms, kicking to propel yourself further. 

You lose yourself in the familiar motions. You touch one end, bob up, take a breath, and turn back the other direction. Back and forth, back and forth.  

You latch onto the lip of the pool to steady yourself. You cling to it to keep from sinking under as you paddle at the deep end. The chlorine dries your nose hotly. 

“Long day?” A voice echoes in the airy empty space. 

You didn’t notice the man. He’s still dry as he stands at the other end of the pool. Your fun is spoiled. You won’t go, you’ll just have to share. 

“Mmhm,” you hum back. 

He walks along the edge, eyeing the water. You think you recognise him. He might be one of the faces you passed at the continental breakfast bar that morning. You see so many it’s hard to remember. 

He’s tall and his shoulders and arms are rounded with muscles. He wears black shorts and turns to face you, showing off a lined stomach and buff chest. You plunge back under and start another set of laps. When you take another break, he’s doing the same, arms cutting up and under. He’s faster than you. 

He passes so close you feel the water move. You quickly make distance as you fall into another cycle; shallow to deep, shallow to deep. When you come again, you can’t spot him. You don’t look very hard. He doesn’t matter. 

You veer off to the side of the pool and hook your arms over the edge, crossing them as you hang from the tile. You lower your head and even out your breathing. You are suitably tired. 

Before you can lift yourself up and over, the water splashes behind you. The man grips the slightly raised lip on either side of you and raises himself up. He crushes you against the side as he does. 

“Woah, what the--” 

“Work trips are lonely, huh?” He grits as he nuzzles your crown. “Nice to unwind?” 

“What are you doing, you creep?” 

“Shh,” he hushes you and surprises you as he loops his thick arm around your neck, “don’t wanna draw too much attention.” 

“Hey, you--” He flexes until you can’t speak. 

“Come on. Two strangers, passing in the night...” 

You pull on his forearm and kick your legs. He pushes into you, grinding his pelvis against yours. Where your toes barely touch, he has his feet planted flat. 

“No rules on the road,” he purrs along your ear.  

You tug on his arm harder, “get off--” 

“It’s okay, sweetheart,” he pulls his other hand from the pool, the glint of gold on his finger flashing in your vision. He feels along your side as he crowds you against the tile. “I won’t tell anyone if you don’t.” 

You whimper as his hand tickles along your stomach and his fingers creep along the top of your bikini. You push your elbow back and he grunts. He's not deterred. You dig your nails into his wrist. 

“I’ll scream--” 

He tightens his arm again and tuts, “you’ll be begging for more."

He snarls and shoves his hand down your bikini. You puff out desperately and wriggle, unable to free yourself of his grasp. You should have just stayed in your room and finished the damn book.

PART 7

Mumbo was doing his best to type and walk at the same time. He had gotten extremely bored when his arms started aching. He was carrying spare parts for Tangos robot to the workshop. His own little Grumbot was already waiting there. He picked up his speed when he entered the building. He was just a few steps away from his corrodior when a big bumbling man turned the corner and they crash into eachother.

Mumbo being a long lean thing fell like a puppet who's strings released on impact. The bigger man didn't seem to keep himself up much better. The bigger man landed on his bum, Mumbo landing face first in his lap.

"Woah there! you okay buddy?" The man asked from above Mumbo, who froze absolutely mortified. Slowly he turned around in the lap of the strange man looking straight up at the *Damn* at the very handsome man.

"Y-yeah I....I okay, Me, buddy is" He managed to get out. He was screaming at himself internally. This was the guy! The shirtless man form the other day. The guy with the cat who moved into Mumbos old dorm. Hadn't he been so mortified he would've wanted to say something to the very handsome young man. Instead he slowly rose to his feet. started to pick up his robotic pieces before he excused himself.

"I'm terribly sorry, I need to go" He said, He didn't even have the time to reflect over the other man's crutches. Nor his extremely confused expression as Mumbo rushed off.

Scar, the mystery handsome man in question, slowly got back on his feet. He saw a metallic mustache laying on the floor as he rose...He picked it up. Looked back one last time before shrugging and continuing his own way.

Gem sighed. She knew her friend was just being dramatic. As she arrives to the workshop so does Tango and Impulse.

"GEMSTONE! what you doing here?" Impulse calls to his roommate as he spots her. She smiles with a shrug.

"Mumbo had a mortifying wet cat moment" She explained and before anyone could say anything more Mumbo was already standing in the doorway to the workshop looking like said wet cat.

"Gem :(" he whined, she had to force down a laugh as to not laugh in her friends face. Tango was not so talented but he got a swift elbow in the side from Impulse.

"I couldn't even say I was okay!!" He whined sitting down with a deep sigh. "Why can't I just be silly with the dorm thing!! why do I have to be socially awkward too" He continued to vent his heart out. He did lose her though

"Excuse me? what? dorm thing?" She repeated, Mumbos face dropped again as he thought about it. He groaned annoyed.

"Yeah I forgot to sign up for a dorm" He explained exasperated

"Well where did you sleep this night?" Gem pressed

"Tango let me crash at their dorm. I'm gonna stay there until there's a vacancy" Mumbo continued his explanation. Gem felt a dread in her stomach

"Ooooh, Mumbo you can't do that they're gonna start doing impromptu dorm checks next week" She said as carefully as she could without freaking Mumbo out even more.

"WHAT" he shouted it hadn't helped. Gem walked up to the tall man. Impulse and Tango followed suit.

"Well yeah they're checking to make sure no one unwanted is at uni" She explained Mumbos shoulders dropped aswell now.

"I guess that makes sense but" He sighed not finishing his thoughts.

"Gem don't tell on us please" Impulse suddenly said, Gem must've had made some face that made him worry. She shaked her head

"Of course not!" She said, she would never rat out her friend.

"Good, and Mumbo we'll just always be ready to hide you until you have your own dorm. Can't be too hard" Tango finished in Impulse stead. Gem was tempted to argue but Mumbo seemed to be genuinely on the werge of tears if she'd say something more.

"Y-yeah!" She let out instead. "a-and if you need to duck out I guess you can always come over to the trout dorm" She added on before thinking properly, she glanced at Impulse who simply nodded. It did seem to help though, Mumbo seemed far less sad.

This year is going to be a little different with adult ingredients so some nights I will have a queue up in the discord with the movies playing while I have class or am not home but here is our list for the year. I have a number of headcannons on which part of my creativity is based, both on Lucidia and on everything related to this project! Attention, this is just the opinion of a random artist from the Internet, his thoughts and just ideas. Perhaps I will repeat myself with someone - I immediately say that I do not want to offend or offend anyone. (._.`)

Greaser is not directly related to Lucidia, but he managed to hide there and even make an ambiguous friend. Because of the simple spiritual connection between themselves and the too-sometimes family environment of the two geniuses, who from time to time help each other in some way, they have developed a brotherly relationship.

While Greaser canonically refers to the Sans, and Chili does not, it is quite logical that their magical capabilities will also be different: Chili does not have access to technologies such as Blasters, teleportation in vain. However, the former also in most cases does not use bones, preferring firearms like pistols or other machinations with technology (Argued by the terrible state of health and lifestyle. This dude literally can't summon anything working, except bones, and then barely able to harm someone because of fragility) Chili, in my mind, has magic similar to fire magic. He mainly uses additional artifacts, pieces and things hidden in his inner pockets. Thanks to them, he is quite capable of both restoring himself and others, and defending himself at a decent level

These two have opened a store, which is now run by Chili! The store is a place to buy magic pieces and eyes for skeletons. (the planet where Chili lives is inhabited by a skeletal race)

4. Their acquaintance happened randomly: Greaser just saw pasting flyers about a job vacancy in a yet-to-be-created Store. Well, in the future, I decided that the best thing would be to help organize everything and, like a true tramp through the worlds, find places to mine those very artifacts. It is even possible to learn from Chili how to create something like this for sale.

5. For the first time, and all the time he was on this planet as a co-author of the store, Greaser not only lived under a different name, but also specially painted himself, gave the impression of a different hairstyle. Most likely, he was hiding from someone, or considered it necessary to hide the fact that he was not a local.

6. Greaser doesn't have pupils, but they don't actually want them for themselves.: he likes that no one sees where his gaze is directed.

7. Chili is more predisposed to women. However, both jerks manage to make jokes about the choice of partners. Chili never left his world for a long time, while the second one literally ran away from his own and began to wander. Greaser is a professional marksman and mechanic, aided by early life within his world. Unlike the first one, he perfectly repairs equipment and shoots them with different pistols.

Dawn part 4 analysis, here we go! At it again with my ramblings.

Starting off with THE GLORIOUS RETURN OF THE MAILMAN! The moment I saw the flag I was like :O HE’S BACK!!!

(I also got the blue’s clues mail song stuck in my head)

Hey look, it’s Warriors’ money! And the inkeeper who’s happily admiring the ridiculous amount of rupees Warriors now does not own!

Rip Warriors’ money. It will be dearly missed.

Also no vacancy?? I mean, it’s possible there’s other people staying there, or it’s just a small inn, but... it kinda looks like Warriors literally bought every available room there was. Mad lad.

I (like everybody else lol) took a crack at figuring out who’s signature was who’s, based on their respective game’s Hylian texts/scripts, order of when they got there, and the OG tags on the comic. So here’s my best guesses—

1. Time is first, which makes sense based on him being the one to take Twilight to the inn

2. Hyrule appears to be next— his games don’t have a written script, but the hylian here is close to Legend’s, so I’m assuming it’s his, based on the fact that he was part of the next group to get to the inn.

3. Four is who I’m least sure about I’ll admit, but seeing as how he came with Hyrule, (and he’s the only Link left I couldn’t identify at all), I’m assuming it’s his.

4. Warriors we know for sure, since the tags say this signature is his. He gets a shout out for being the only Link who can actually write in the lines.

5. Wind seems to be next, as his hylian is very close to what’s here (his signature partially obscures Warriors’ XD)

6. Legend is who I’m going with for this one, but I’ll admit it could be Wild’s since their script is pretty darn close. But once again, based on when they all got to the inn, Legend would make the most sense to be here.

7. Sky is definitely here. His hylian is very unique compared to the others (I think it’s my favorite)

8. Wild is probably next, but same case as Legend, they could be swapped. But once again, probably not, since Wild was the last to get inside.

9. Twilight bringing up the rear! His hylian is unmistakable, and it makes sense that he’d mark his name last. I don’t think he could handle it until he woke up that morning, though I do wonder which arm he wrote it with...

(Rip Mr. Mailman in trying to figure all this out)

Moving on!

It’s gotta be close to mid-morning by now based on the light, but Sky obviously does not handle waking up at dawn well. It’ll be interesting to see if he stays sleepy during the rest of this arc, or if he'll wake up a bit.

(Side note, Sky looks so soft and fluffy here, I want to hug him)

Sky is so relatable in this update, he’s got some serious “I have no idea what’s going on” vibes. That first one he's got such a deer in the headlights look XD

The mailman is just like “you! I’ve been looking for you! Great to see you!” and Sky’s just “I have never met this man in my life” (probably forgot he actually did see him once (because he’s sleepy))

Four letters, all different languages and dialects... I’m guessing at least one Zelda based on the seal on that blue letter (it seems fancier to me), but I don’t know about the rest. I would guess Malon for one, and maybe another Zelda? Warriors or Wild or Four’s Zelda maybe? Maybe Twilight got a letter from someone in Ordon, or the Resistance!

Only thing I do know is that there’s probably not one for Sky, since he wasn’t immediately like “letter for me! :D”

Four trying to do something nice and fix Wild’s sword and this guy just laughs at him, rude 😤 At least he didn’t make a short joke, which was honestly what I was expecting. I mean I get knowing that your equipment won’t be enough for the job, but sheesh.

(Also the blacksmith’s goggles look a bit like Gondo’s in skyward sword’s, plus the ones the rescue knights wear, thought that was interesting).

I love this panel!! They all decided to follow Four and help him out just like they did last time, fix the sword and get Wild a good, reliable weapon.

I’ve also never noticed how similar these guy’s hair looks before, especially Warriors and Hyrule’s— if Rulie’s hair was a little shorter and blonde, it would be pretty near identical. Very interesting...

(Plus Wind has the funniest expression, he's so cute)

We interrupt this rambly analysis to bring you a brief moment of me yelling about Warriors' smile ABHDGFSFKHSBBG LOOK AT HIM that stupid cocky grin and the way he's rolling up his sleeve I'm *swoon*

Four absolutely losing it over Warriors’ jab about teamwork is SO funny, Captain you have no idea how good your joke was. (also Four, bud, you good? Little hysterical there pal)

Also he looks so happy!!! Compare that to any of the faces he was making the night before, he's doing so much better. I’m so glad he’s happy and smiling now, even if it was just at a dumb joke :)

I don’t even have anything to say about this panel. Just look at it. Glorious.

What Would An Album About You Sound Like?

Ahhh okay this is so cute. Im going to try to explain this as best as I can, Pile 1. So this seems like a concept album. The idea of the album (not the sound but idea ya know) reminds me of “Melodrama” by Lorde. I’ll leave a quote here for a better description but it’s like a concept album about a single night

“Melodrama is described as a loose concept album that explores the theme of solitude, in the framework of a single house party with the events and moods that entail it”

The album about you is similar in the sense that it’s a “loose concept album” but it’s about the writer seeing you. It’s like you’re at this party that the songwriter is also at and they’re obsessed from the moment they lay eyes on you. You’re like this beautiful unobtainable being to them and they want to get to know you so bad but they just can’t seem to talk to you. This could also progress to a one night stand that never progresses to more because of a lack of communication to this album is going through the writer meeting you and watching you throughout the night and then goes into their regrets and what they wish they would have said to you the next day, if that makes sense.

They see you at a party and think you’re so beautiful but can’t seem to find the words to tell you that. I keep hearing “I like the way my bedsheets look on your body” from “hello!” By role model. (I believe that’s the right song but lmk if it’s wrong so I can fix it!) and I keep being reminded of this musician on TikTok “Chappell Roan” and their song “Red Wine Supernova” I think that’s similar to what this album would sound like and it also fits the aesthetic. I highly recommend you listen to this song because it fits your album so perfectly. I tried to find a lyric that resonates the best to include but they all work so well that I couldn’t choose.

Despite this entire album being about only you and just one night leading into the next morning, it’s still so diverse (I hope that makes sense) like you’d think there’s only so many songs you could write about a 12ish hour time frame and one person but this writer has endless things to say about you and the night you met them. I could see one song having a feature and it’s later in the album somewhere between tracks 7-12 or so. The aesthetic of the album is very neon lights, the dance floor on prom night after everything has died down and people are starting to go home, slow, melodramatic and just really pretty. Again, I highly recommend you check out “Red Wine Supernova” because it fits so well.

Pile Two

Pile two, your album sounds like one written by Hozier, Noah Kahan or The Lumineers. It reminds me a lot of “Angela” by The Lumineers. Specifically the lyric “Angela, spent your whole life running away” and “vacancy, hotel room, lost in me, lost in you” it also reminds me of Ethel Cain in the sense that it’s a concept album about running away and starting a new life (but not as dark as ethel’s and with a much better outcome than she got. I heard “success story” it’s about leaving behind a difficult past and moving forward. There’s hope for the future in these songs, remembrance of the past and healing trauma. It’s a beautiful album with a good balance of different emotions. I could see this album coming with a short film or a series of music videos that piece together to tell a store. Similar to “III” by the Lumineers.

I keep hearing a few snippets from the deluxe version of “Stick Season” (that will be out June 9th 👀) like “Medicate meditate swear your soul to Jesus / Throw a punch fall in love give yourself a reason” or “we ain’t angry at you love, you’re the greatest thing we’ve lost” it’s such a beautiful album with so much soul and emotion.

I could see this album getting an acoustic live version that artists do sometimes like “Album, live from Wherever” you know? This album has very unique and catchy lyrics that stick with people, the type of lyrics people take and sell on things in their Etsy shop or use as a quote in their yearbook or put in their instagram bio. It almost feels like poetry. I also heard “escapism” this is the type of music that paints a picture and takes you somewhere else. This album will kind of chronologically tell a story about you moving forward and healing from trauma and finding a peaceful ending. Ending with a song like “Angelia”

I feel like this album has a soft rock sort of sound? Like hozier with a rockier edge if that makes sense? It reminds me of the way hozier sings about love. He sings about a very deep and impactful love and his writing his like poetry and I think that’s what an album about you would sound like. I think this album could be about the writer/musician fighting feelings for you because they’re focused on career or are just concerned about the outcome of the relationship. They might have a fear of falling or something.

However, the last card I pulled was the 10 of cups so the outcome is very good. I feel like this album is coming from a reflective place like this is after yourself and your spouse have settled down and had kids or pets or whatever you would like and your partner is looking back at your relationship from the very beginning up until now and writing about it.

I keep hearing “I’m in love with an emo girl” I don’t think this is what the album will sound like but maybe that’s your aesthetic/vibe? This might just be conformation for you. I also keep hearing that Shania Twain song “you’re still the one” this is the kind of album that fans would dissect like narrow down the time you met your person and talk about every lyric and how that lyric relates to you and your relationship etc. this album talks about how devoted and in love with you your person is but also talks about the (I heard “trials and tribulations”) it took for you two to get there so it may include religious reference. Like religion by Lana Del Rey or Don’t Blame Me by Taylor Swift where there’s this slight aspect of religion/devotion to your partner.

You hear a lot about how you have to actively choose your partner everyday to make a long term relationship work and this album would definitely delve into that a little. It could also be produced by you and your partner’s mutual friends or people who have been there since the beginning or very early in in your relationship. I think this would be a longer album and there’s definitely 18+ songs on there 👀

La bouillabaisse fait partie de ces plats qui me rappellent les vacances au bord de la mer !

Cette recette de bouillabaisse (avec sa rouille maison !) est très proche de la recette traditionnelle , tout en restant relativement simple à réaliser.

Pour la bouillabaisse

1 oignon jaune

1 fenouil , petit

1 poireau

4-5 tomates

1 c. à soupe de c oncentré de tomates

1 livre de pommes de terre

1 c. à soupe de graines de fenouil

10 fils de safran

3 feuilles de laurier

1 orange

500 g poisson frais rascasse, rouget barbet, Saint Pierre ou autre poisson blanc (cabillaud, lotte etc.)

200 g crevettes 200 g

1 livre moules 500 g

1 litre fumet de poisson

125 ml vin blanc sec

40 ml pastis Pernod Ricard

Sel

Persil frais

Pour la rouille

150 ml d’huile d’olive

2 jaunes d’œuf

3 gousses d’ail

1 c. à soupe de moutarde de Dijon

2 tranches de pain

6 fils de safran

1 pincée de sel

1 c. à café paprika

1 c. à café Piment d’espelette

Quelques gouttes de jus de citron

Instructions 

Émincer l’oignon, le fenouil et le poireau. Couper les tomates et les pommes de terre en cubes.

Dans une grande casserole ou un cocotte, faire chauffer l’huile d’olive à feu moyen. Ajouter l’oignon, le fenouil et les poireaux. Faire revenir pendant quelques minutes jusqu’à ce que l’oignon soit translucide.

Ajouter les graines de fenouil, les fils de safran, les tomates, le concentré de tomates et le zeste d’orange. Remuer et laisser cuire quelques minutes pour libérer les arômes.

Déglacer avec le pastis et le vin blanc. Retirer le zeste d’orange, puis verser le fumet de poisson.

Option : mixer la soupe et la passer au tamis pour éliminer les morceaux. Reverser dans la casserole.

Ajouter les pommes de terre, la feuille de laurier et le zeste d’orange et faire cuire à feu moyen pendant 20 minutes.

Rincez bien les moules sous l’eau froide et retirez celles qui sont ouvertes ou cassées. Couper le poisson en cubes. Ajouter sur le poisson, les crevettes et les moules.

Couvrir la cocotte avec un couvercle et laisser mijoter pendant 5 à 7 minutes à feu doux, ou jusqu’à ce que le poisson soit cuit, que les crevettes soient roses et que les moules soient ouvertes. Jeter les moules qui ne se sont pas ouvertes pendant la cuisson.

Retirer la cocotte du feu et verser la bouillabaisse dans des bols. Garnir de persil frais haché.

Sauce rouille

Faire tremper le pain dans de l’eau ou un peu de soupe de poisson. Dans un petit bol, mélanger les fils de safran avec quelques gouttes de jus de citron et laisser infuser quelques minutes.Dans le bol de votre robot ou dans un petit bocal, ajoutez les jaunes d’œufs, les gousses d’ail, la moutarde de Dijon, le pain trempé, le safran avec le jus de citron, une pincée de sel, le paprika et le piment.

À l’aide d’un mixeur ou d’un robot, mixer le mélange jusqu’à ce que tous les ingrédients soient bien combinés.Le robot étant toujours en marche, verser lentement l’huile d’olive en un filet régulier. Continuer à ajouter de l’huile d’olive petit à petit jusqu’à obtenir la consistance souhaitée.Goûter la rouille et rectifier l’assaisonnement si nécessaire.Transférer la rouille dans un bol de service et la réfrigérer pendant au moins 30 minutes avant de la servir.

Rant:

The only reason five fell in love with a mannequin was because there was nobody there for 45 years. He was literally hallucinating out of desperation for any sort of connection and it happened to be a marriage. Five needed love for his character and I hate people thinking that because it was a mannequin or because he loves his family, that means he’s somehow aromantic altogether and doesn’t need or desire romance. The whole point is to give him someone he can OBVIOUSLY relate to while fulfilling his romantic vacancy.

Lila clearly has a huge attachment to him as well. I love the enemies to lovers trope she adds in a way that five killed her parents because of the handler manipulating them. And they basically fight, then tease each other, then save one another, and they become friends and respect each other, so the finale of them falling in love and becoming intimate makes complete sense in that direction (to me). They didn’t write this season properly of course and it was a cruel way to end the show, but this is one of the few things that actually made sense and I’m actually grateful for.

“Five wouldn’t do that” he’s an assassin and so is she, nobody’s fav is perfect in this show so that’s dumb. But Five is obviously attracted to people. And he’s made multiple mistakes. It makes sense to fall in love with an equal and a companion in isolation. I’m glad there wasn’t a sexual scene because I like his asexual interpretation. I love how soft he became for her. I love that he held her at the end in the subway. This season sucked, but it’s not because of what was written, it’s because of how it was written and the pacing. Like if they had more time, they should have stretched these plot points across two more seasons at least. It will have made more sense and felt more reasonable and deserved. And it would’ve given them more time to stop treating it like Lila cheated and Five was a home wrecker. (She didn’t and he isn’t). Especially given the hyper specific scenario.

Diego could’ve processed better that she waited 6-7 years before kissing five and always wanted to go back and they could remember that Lila told Diego she wanted a break before that anyway. Five probably would’ve wanted children, probably not, doesn’t matter, and things would go from awkward to understandable between five and Diego. Like five would feel guilty for a long time and cause problems in the relationship because of that, but they obviously have chemistry and belong with each other in a huge way.

I totally agree with you.

I always saw Five as someone sensitive, in search of the affection he didn't have during 45 years he spent in the apocalypse, the trauma that was for him all that, seeing all his closest "family" dead. It couldn't have been easy. He obviously looked to Delores for some emotional support. But he realized that this was not real. Her cold, selfish and murderous character was partly a result of that whole experience.

For a long time these years I believed in the possibility that his romantic arc was Vanya (Viktor now) (In fact according to Aidan's words it was, with Vanya he brought out his sensitivity more than with the rest of the people and he said they were in love, I'll take that and I'm happy). I understand that because of Viktor's arc it was no longer a possibility.

But really with Lila I loved it! And now that I think about it, yes. The love-hate tension was always there since season 2. In season 3 more scenes and time together, and season 4 delivered.
