There is another kind of rage and despair you will feel when you are an artistic person studying and working in technological fields and you keep seeing your peers and people you are supposed to look up to blatantly using artists' hard work for training text-to-speech models.

#I go online and access my artist bubble to be fed with the illusion that maybe AI “art” will die out like NFT #Only to go back to reality and realize that small artists will be fucked no matter what #And no #this fucked-up technology will not die out #at least not in my country #because the gov has just newly established research and development centers focused on AI #you can say AI is not just text-to-speech models and GenAI and those centers might not research them #but we all know that people from technological fields have no reason to be kind to us #if they had #they would not make the knowledge of this technology go mainstream like some open-sourced codes #I hope that in the future I will be able to study to establish some sort of solution to the problem with the artist's right to be put first #but in the near future there will be so much hardship for artist and creative community
