The Copyright Trolling that Nintendo was doing on Palworld makes so much more sense now, knowing some of the things that were just leaked with regards to upcoming Pokemon games.
Not to defend Palworld, Palworld is scummy, but it makes more sense if they were planning to release an online multiplayer game to try to kneecap the competition now if Palworld supposedly runs too close to that game (coincidentally or not).
#Pokemon#teraleak#Pokemon Leak#Game Freak Teraleak#Palworld#Like I don't think the Palworld devs had a guy inside nintendo thefting patents but like#If nintendo was slowly hacking away at something similar and then Palworld just goes viral before they launch their game#makes more sense from a tactical standpoint to allege theft from the start to prevent a competitor overtaking them#I will refrain from discussing the Teraleak at large because apparently the scope is huge (like stuff abt switch 2 huge)#and at most I might just be looking at the cutting room floor content that came out#since we haven't had anything interesting to look at since someone found a convention demo of Gold / Silver for cut pokemon

splatoon (especially 3) is just "simultaneously the best and worst thing ever" in every aspect isnt it.
the character design is so amazingly creative but god forbid a woman is fat or non-humanoid
the world-building and lore is so well crafted filled with care but the story is always mediocre with a singular paid exception
the gameplay loop between all modes is so smooth and the way each weapon plays even if weak is still fun but if you have motion sickness have fun playing with a insane disadvantage, or if you have carpal tunnel you just dont get to play 2 weapons, or if you get easily overwhelmed with the music you dont even get to turn it off
and if youre into competitive, patches are usually making the game better but do nothing about what the real problems are at best or slowly build up to create new problems
#long post#i guess#sorry im literally only here for deep cut and the villain quartet at this point tbh 👎#this series desperately needs a new direction in s4 but looking at how itll probably be a launch title on the switch successor.....#i have doubts. it's a shame cuz i love this series so much and as said#theres very good things about it#but it suffers so much from what i assume is rushing or poor direction#and other things are just general nintendo problems like the complete disregard for accessibility or misogynistic character principles#just aiuhhhhgggg#it's frustrating and it's part of why i am trying to just get away from the game as my main thing#yeah it's pretty damn good world-building and lore and music and octo expansion was fucking awesome#but i cant recommend this game series to people i absolutely love irl because they're disabled in a way that splatoon ignores#because they can't personally look over the pattern of how girls are designed#and because of that i just don't recommend it to anyone at all beside “i think the music is good”#SORRY i really want this series to be the best it can be and obviously growing up with it and Splatoon 3 legitimately saving my life#i just get so disappointed.#ok rant over

Got my pre-order in for ‘The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom’ along with the limited edition OLED Nintendo Switch. I wanted the carrying case and the switch pro controller as well but apparently that comes out a little later with the game. I can understand them not putting that out for pre-order yet. I’ll get it eventually. Needed an update on my Nintendo Switch anyway. I have the old model. I’ll probably only ever use it to play Zelda games though.
I’ve been anticipating this game for a long time. I can’t actually believe it’s finally available in a month. ‘Breath Of The Wild’ was a Zelda experience like no other. Literally a breath of fresh air for the series and I’m so happy I’ll be returning to it through the sequel.
Who’s excited for this game? Get your pre-orders in!

Hmm, I thought that Nintendo was going to elaborate on the next-gen console this summer. According to president Shuntaro Furukawa, details will be released within the fiscal year.
It has been over 7 years and five months since the Nintendo Switch came out. It is officially the longest gap between consoles in Nintendo history.
Nintendo sold 2.1 million Switch consoles this past year, which is a 46% decrease from the previous year. Nintendo's software sales and shares have also decreased.
There are 44 days left this summer . . . I am hoping to hear something! As much as I love the Switch, its lifespan has officially been exhausted for sure.

im not even joking or exaggerating when i say that the 3ds, even without custom firmware, is a better console than the nintendo switch. you could watch netflix and youtube on it. it had an internet browser. you could take pictures with it. load it with your own music. you can customize it. the entire console was full of charm and character. what happened man.
#i mean we all know what happened but#3ds forever#xiv.txt#like yeah the switch has good games and better graphical quality but the console itself is boring and uninspired#i bought a switch on launch and ive without a doubt still used my 3ds more in the time since#nintendo 3ds

okay here's my "never going to happen" nintendo direct wildcard prediction: new 2d zelda - but with playable zelda.
it's a soft launch of the idea by putting it in a 2d game. 2d zeldas are not the massive console seller juggernauts as 3d zeldas, so its a safer "test" AND more realistic to put at the end of the switch's life cycle.
the game itself would be somewhat lighthearted, but not condescendingly simple like the peach game. it has a similar artstyle/feel as the links awakening remake. there's a bigger focus on puzzles than fighting.

We're thrilled to announce that we've wrapped principal development work on Slay the Princess — The Pristine Cut. We'll be releasing it this Fall (date TBD) so we can simultaneous ship the update with both the game's console release (surprise!) as well as official subtitling support for 11 new languages, all with the help of our wonderful new partners at Serenity Forge (who you might know from their publishing work on Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!)
There's a lot for us to share about The Pristine Cut, but before we get into the details, please check out our new trailer!
Here's what we've got coming for you: Content
For those of you who are just now hearing about The Pristine Cut, it's an entirely free director's cut of the game that adds about 35% more content on top of the initial release.
This includes massive expansions to The Den, The Apotheosis, and The Fury routes, each of which is over three times bigger than their release versions, with tons of variations to discover across multiple playthroughs.
On top of this, we're adding three brand new chapter three routes that will add even more depth to your stories with The Damsel, The Prisoner, and The Spectre.
And we're adding a new ending.
All in all, these additions come to over 2,500 new voice lines, over 1,200 new hand-drawn illustrations, and over 15 new tracks of music.
We're also adding an extensive CG gallery with over 400 unlocks to help all you completionists track your progress, complete with cryptic hints to help you discover some of the game's more obscure and buried interactions.
Languages
And all of this is coming with a giant wave of localization support, covering the following languages: Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French, German, Russian, Spanish (Latin American), Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, and Polish. These localizations are just going to cover subtitles, so we can be as thorough as possible about maintaining the quality of Jonny and Nichole's performances.
Consoles, Physical Release and New Merch
With the help of Serenity Forge, we’re bringing Slay the Princess — The Pristine Cut to every major current console — Nintendo Switch, PS4 + 5, and Xbox.
And these won’t just be available as digital downloads. You’ll also be able to pick up a physical edition for the Switch and PS5, with an exclusive sticker sheet and a download code for the game’s soundtrack.
And if that’s not enough we’re also doing a Collector’s Edition, complete with a 7 inch statue of the Princess, a mirror with a lenticular lens, an acrylic standee, and more.
And finally (for now), we’re launching the first wave of new line of sticker sheets, featuring chibi art of the Princesses as seen in The Pristine Cut’s new gallery. Pre-order them now at Topatoco!
Alongside these developments, we've also launched a new website for the game: check out slaytheprincess.com where you can order the physical editions, check out merch, and more!
Thank you so much for your patience while we've worked to make The Pristine Cut the definitive version of Slay the Princess. We can't wait to share all of the game's new stories with you this Fall.
Until then, we're back to working full-time on the next Episode of Scarlet Hollow (and have been for about a few weeks now!)
Best, Abby and Tony
#slay the princess#the pristine cut#stp#jonathan sims#jon sims#nichole goodnight#finally we can make this announcement#i am so tired#“let's just flesh out these couple of short routes abby”#“it'll be so quick abby”#“short little gamedev adventure in and out two weeks no problem”#my hubris. my absolute hubris#the pristine cut is a BANGER though; genuinely the best slay the princess related work we've done IMO#also holy moly that collector's edition serenity forge has really been knocking it out of the park#Youtube

The Outer Worlds 2: First Gameplay Trailer
The Outer Worlds 2 will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) in 2025. It will also be available via Game Pass. The PlayStation 5 version is newly announced.
Latest details
The call to go beyond the stars is here once again, and it’s bigger, bolder, and more unpredictable than ever. We just revealed a first gameplay trailer for The Outer Worlds 2 during The Game Awards 2024, promising a fresh adventure in a brand-new colony next year. No really, we know we’re not supposed to promise things in marketing, but the setting is completely new, so this is all factual. Just don’t break the colony again. We’re looking at each of you who sent the Hope into the sun in the last game.
In true Obsidian Entertainment fashion, you carve your path through Arcadia, a colony teeming with factions, intrigue, and chaos. It’s also home of skip drive technology and where the fate of the entire colony – and the galaxy – rests. As a daring, undeniably good-looking, and questionably competent Earth Directorate agent, you’re tasked with uncovering the source of devastating rifts threatening the entire galaxy. Talk about stakes (not to be confused with raptidon steaks, those are very different)! The choice of how to deal with the rifts is up to you. “Your worlds, your way,” as we say at Obsidian.
Are the rifts the only thing threatening Arcadia? Of course not! That would be too easy. A factional war between the “benevolent rulers” known as the Protectorate, a rebellious scientific religious order, and a corporate mega power has the colony torn apart. Each is trying to close or control the rifts for their own good/monetarily profitable needs. Church, state, and capitalism! Who will win?! Well, that’s really up to you. This is your game. We’ve said the choices were yours the whole time. See that Obsidian motto above? Yeah, you get it.
We’ve said choice a few times already, but guess what? This is an RPG so it’s going to come up a few more times. When it comes to crafting your commander, it is full-on “RPG with RPG elements” time from ability points to skill checks in conversations, to even how flawed you want to be because, let’s admit it, no one is perfect. Except those who think they are. Look at you go. Being perfect.
How you build your commander and chart your way through the narrative is uniquely yours as you plunge into this player-driven story. Whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, a smart strategist, a crusader of chaos, or defiantly different (so we can keep the alliterations), the choice – you guessed it—is yours. Oh, and with this being The Outer Worlds, yes, you can dumb!
While The Outer Worlds 2 is a single-player RPG, you won’t be alone! Not virtually anyway. Enlist a crew of companions to help you achieve your goals. Nothing says “middle management” more than sending people out to fight your fights for you, then having them judge everything you do with a visual reminder of how much they loved or hated it. Maybe you’ll help them fulfill their dreams or goals along the way. Clearly you care enough about the people working with you to see their dreams realized… right?
As excitement grows for the upcoming 2025 launch, now is the perfect time to revisit The Outer Worlds and relive the adventure that started it all. Whether you’re a seasoned spacer or are setting foot in Halcyon for the first time, there’s no better moment to prepare for the next chapter. The Outer Worlds is available for purchase on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. You also can jump in today if you’re a Game Pass member.
On top of that, the universe is expanding beyond the game! The Outer Worlds 2 will be featured in the upcoming Secret Level anthology series, streaming on Prime Video. Tune in on December 17 for a short story that takes place between The Outer Worlds and The Outer Worlds 2. While you may have thought that was a lot of shilling, the Secret Level episode is legitimately good, and if the Board were around, they’d tell you it was mandatory viewing.
Wishlist the game today on Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on Windows PC, and Steam, and stay tuned for more updates on The Outer Worlds 2—we can’t wait to share what’s next with you. The galaxy is yours to explore; the only question is, how will you shape it?

Nintendo Directs are honestly amazing, cause you'll watch them, see an announcement that's like "For the first time in 20 years, this beloved series makes its return! Schranpfenbörg Adventures 2: A New Schranpf Börgs HD Remake launches this fall, for the Nintendo Switch family of systems!", and it's a game that you've never seen before, never heard of before. But without fail, if you look up reactions to the Direct afterwards, you'll see plenty of people going "OMG IT'S FINALLY BACK 😭😭😭 SCHRANPFENBÖRG FANS EATING GOOD TONIGHT", and be all to eager to explain why the game/series is great and how to get started to anyone who thought the game seemed interesting.
