Imagine in a cutscene for the 2029 Ratchet & Clank game, Ratchet's girlfriend Talwyn Apogee is with Angela Cross somewhere in the Lombax Dimension.

But, all of a sudden, Talwyn doesn't feel well.

Angela, concerns, asks "Hey, what's wrong? Are you ok?"

A nauseous Talwyn replies "I need to throw up.....NOW."

The PS5 under Jim Ryan has been a sales success, but it's also been the death of the very creativity that made PlayStation to begin with.

He murdered creative all smaller development for the sake of "games too big too fail" and promoting games as a service. Those same GAAS titles still haven't arrived.

PS5 has 1 exclusive game this year.... 2 if you count PSVR2.

It's too late the save the PS5 as far s its creative output goes. But with Jim Ryan gone, the eventual PS6 may at least be able to guide PlayStation back to the things that made it so distinctive in the first place.

Y’all know what would be super cool? If one of Johnnys fatalities is inspired by the ‘Here comes Johnny!’ scene from The Shining. I could totally see NRS acing that shit & making it look so cool. Idk how it would be executed, but they’re already really good at referencing things totally unrelated to the MK series throughout the games. I also always wanted 21 Savage or Wiz Khalifa to be character appearances on MK as well. W/ 21 having an outfit inspired by The Warriors.

Kids, of course Nintendo is working on their next console (which may or may not be a sequel to the Switch). But I'm gonna let you in on a little secret: even though regular people are just now getting PS5s, Sony is hard at work on the Playstation 6. And Microsoft is already working on the next XBox.

Wanna know how I have this insider knowledge? It's because they're Game Companies, and that's what they do. And that's what they'll continue to do as long as it's profitable. Game Companies make Game Consoles, because that's how they make money. So of course Nintendo is gonna make a new console. My main hope is that the games from the current (and maybe even past) console are still playable on it, cause we've lost too much gaming history already.

When do you think Sony is gonna drop the number from PlayStation generation names? They've been the most consistent of any game company in history, PlayStation, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, so surely the next one in 2026-ish should be called the PS6, but Apple had the same trend going with the iPhone until they jumped from 8 to X to 11. There never was an iPhone 9, so who's to say whether Sony will keep up the PlayStation pattern forever? Maybe some corporate executive will say they need to revitalize the brand with a new trendy trademark. They had the PSP for a while, and then the PS Vita which nobody ever called the PSV, so maybe they'll follow Nintendo's lead with the console-portable hybrid Switch and call the next one the PlayStation Nomad or PS Lodestar, PS Zenith, PS Wayfarer, some shit like that. If not the PS6 then maybe the PS7 sometime in the 2030s.
