That new Nintendo Alarmo thing reminds me very strongly of the 'Quality of Life' stuff that Nintendo announced they were working on in 2014

Like, especially that last graphic, doesn't that sound and look very very similar to what they're doing with the Alarmo now?

This stuff was Iwata's big interest, by all accounts it was his baby, but he died like a year after it was announced, and then we never heard about it again until 2016 where they announced it was all cancelled

Like, it was never elaborated on, all we had was this weird lil powerpoint type thing, and nobody was sure exactly what it was they were making

It seems like without Iwata there to spearhead it, the whole idea got left behind

So yeah, it's really interesting to me to see Alarmo now after all this time, it really feels like the leftovers of whatever they had going on all those years ago
