Oh, interesting- This is from one of the minigames in the new magazine (the one after Master Lloyd)

Translation: "Gruaarrrr! Both opponents are basically dragons. The winner feels like one, the loser only feels half like one."

So they're acknowledging Lloyd's dragon heritage or am I reading too much into it?

Ninjago Magazine Comics Translated Issue 98 - The Kidnapping

If you didn't know, Blue Ocean has a variety of non-canon Ninjago comic magazines. I'm working on translating a few of my favourites from German to English for you all to enjoy (see Issue 85, the first one I translated, for more details). This story is post-Crystalized. Over the course of the comic Zane tried to upload his memories of Pixal into the body built by Kreel and Lobbo to rebuild Pix, but ended up only importing the base programming. This included the order for the nindroid to upgrade herself, which ended with an out of control K.R.E.E.L. building herself a new body and rampaging through the junkyard before being stopped by the combined forces of everybody present

the zangst potential of the comic featured in issue 31 of the ninjago legacy magazine is absolutely insane

it could be legendary

he is trying his best

more analysis below the cut, splitting it here because it's quite long

i imagine this as like him still being still a bit unstable after letting go of the scroll. he's still rusty after his 60 years being essentially possessed by the staff and manipulated by vex

he likely feels really guilty about what he's done as the emperor and now with the fact that he can't help properly he gets frustrated. he's having to sit and watch on the sidelines and he's only able to help when the work is already done

i can see the last panel as him taking out his frustration. the wolves are underneath the rocks so they can't get up and yet he still blasts them. is he still experiencing impulses from his dictatorship? is he still trying to help?

he doesn't speak much during this comic. at the beginning zane tells vex that there's a zero percent chance they'll release him from capture. this seems like anger towards him for everything he's done.
