OOC Information ––– –
Server:  Mateus. (Currently, Shiiv doesn’t have a double on Balmung, nor do I really want one there. But my Discord is open and encouraged.)
Timezone:  Central US
Availability:  Currently, most days from 3PM to 12AM. No earlier, no later.
Contact Info:  In-game (Shiiverlene Oronir, Ninette Rivoux, Zulangal Oronir). Discord (kat#0101). Tumblr.
Preferred RP Platforms:  I’m all for either in-game and Discord, although Discord is typically easier on everyone. Shiiv is not my main character, nor my only one, and I like to progress my main with casual raiding. Because of this, Tuesdays I will likely be absent of Shiiv, and other days I may spend most of my idle time on Ninette. But literally, nothing will make me hit that log out button faster than someone asking to RP with me on Shiiv, reset day or not.
Will RP:  Mature, and darker themes. Shiiv is technically a criminal, and her moral compass is kinda messed up at this point, very grey. Sexual themes, but likely only in AU or non-canon plots, as Shiiv is currently in a very committed relationship and wouldn’t do anything with anyone else.
Won’t RP: Permanent character death. Ask about hard injuries first. That’s about it.

WORLD STATE: DRAGON AGE 2
Companions
Romances no one by default
Bethany became a Circle Mage, as Vann didn’t want to bring her into the Deep Roads, deeming it too dangerous for his little sister. Will default to a Bethany’s favored state in RP.
When RPing with a Carver, will default to their favored state. When RPing with either Bethany or Carver, a possible verse is available where Vann had a twin who was the one who died in Lothering.
Open to verses with other custom Hawke siblings where: all four siblings are alive, either Bethany or Carver is alive, or only the custom Hawkes are alive.
Bartrand was killed. Vann helped Varric discover the cause of the haunting and allowed him to keep a small fragment of red lyrium.
Fenris killed Danarius and is alive and well.
Isabela recruited and returned with the book. Vann did not turn her over, valuing her friendship over making peace with the Arishok.
Merrill stayed with Hawke after repairing the Eluvian, which she kept. Her clan, however, was killed.
Did not approve of Anders' actions at the Chantry, but refused to kill him, wanting him to live with the guilt of what he’d done.
Aveline married Donnic and stayed with Hawke.
Befriended Tallis, but did not kiss her.
Recruited Sebastian. though he left after Vann refused to kill Anders.
Prologue
Joined the Smugglers in an attempt to keep a low profile
In default state, it was to keep Bethany hidden from the Templars longer. In verses with a Carver, it was to hopefully avoid more violence after the events of Ostagar.
Act 1
Vann fought against the Templars on the Wounded Coast, despite not wanting to get involved in the affair at all
Did Not Return Martin's Cargo, not wanting to get involved in more illegal activities
Despite being the son of the magistrate, Vann felt that leaving Kelder alive was too risky and didn’t believe his claim that demons made him do it. He chose to kill Kelder.
Saemus was returned to his father after being kidnapped by mercenaries. Ginnis was killed during the encounter.
Told Ghyslain of Ninette's murder, hoping that while the details may be gruesome, it was best to not leave the grieving husband wondering.
Helped Hubert by talking to the miners and discovering and cleaning out the dragon “infestation” at the Bone Pit.
Did not blackmail Ser Thrask, instead choosing to help him later and kill Ser Karras on the Wounded Coast.
Idunna's compulsion could not be broken, and Vann was forced to kill her.
Killed Danzig, as slavery is bad and slavers are worse. Sent Feynriel to the Dalish in the hopes that the mages there would be able to help him more than the Kirkwall Circle could.
Keran kicked out of the Templars, as the extent of his trauma couldn’t be reliably decided.
Gave Ketojan to the Qunari, believing that they were best equipped to handle their own people.
Act 2
Gascard killed in order to protect people from his “protection” against the serial killer in Kirkwall.
Did not side with Varnell, preferring to keep the peace with the Qunari. By extension, he did not side with Mother Petrice either, believing that the Qunari were reasonable people who could be negotiated with, and that conversions to the Qun (as long as they were willing) was acceptable.
Helped Hubert by killing the looters raiding his caravans at the Bone Pit.
Never encountered Yevhen, and therefore did not help either of his sons.
Killed Javaris because, despite not being the one who stole the gaatlok, his presence did not help in keeping the peace with the Qunari.
Fought against the Raiders on the cliffs alone to protect Lieutenant Harley.
Feynriel freed from the demon’s hold in the Fade (though just barely), and sent to Tevinter in the hopes that Vann would never meet Feynriel again.
Arishok Killed in a one-on-one duel after being prompted to do so by Fenris.
Act 3
Offered to help Nuncio find the assassin he was searching for, but upon finding Zevran, decided instead to help the elf keep his freedom.
Nathaniel was saved from the Deep Roads.
Reunited Gamlen and Charade in the hopes that having more family might make Gamlen a better person.
Handed the conspirators plotting to overthrow Knight-Commander Meredith to First Enchanter Orsino, as Vann thought that mages were best equipped to deal with other mages.
Returned Emile to the Circle, as he seemed too naive to be left alone in the world.
Killed Keran, unable to trust him and what had been done to him.
Killed Bone Pit Dragon
Sided with the Mages, primarily because of Bethany, but also because First Enchanter Orsino always seemed more level-headed and in control of his people.
I do not accept that Hawke fought both Meredith and Orsino--instead, at the very least, Orsino focused on keeping himself and a group of mages alive. Personally, I hc that Vann and Orsino fought together against Meredith and her Templars.
Legacy
Sided with Larius, as despite the Warden’s corruption, keeping a powerful darkspawn imprisoned seemed a better idea.
Found Malcolm's Will, though he wasn’t sure how to feel about hearing his father’s voice again.

Different Voices
By Ninette Simonian
Louise Steel is a singer-songwriter from Leiscester, UK, who produces pop and rock music. Her writing stems from her emotions and feelings revolving around romance, love, passion, power, everyday determination, and the overall need to have human connection.
I heard about Louise through the lABELEd podcast, a weekly talk show run by Alice Evans and Lucy Wood. Alice has Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) and Lucy has Cerebral Palsy. As members of the disability community, their podcast focuses on advocating and giving a voice to people with different types of disabilities, chronic illnesses and health conditions. The atmosphere that Alice and Lucy create on the podcast is incredibly laid back, which effectively makes their speakers comfortable and gives the audience a casual hearing.
On March 3rd, 2021, Louise was a guest on their show to talk about her adult diagnosis of Autism and how music and performance has helped her find a way to express herself. Starting off, Louise is asked how an Asperger diagnosis affected her. Louise shares that it largely influenced her “communication skills.” Growing up, Louise found herself not making much sense sometimes, which contributed to her struggle in making friends. Struggling to communicate effectively and forming friendships are generally difficult. Hearing her story, shows how important it is to take the time to ask "why" these challenges feel so difficult, which the podcast did not go into. For example, she compares herself to other classmates and how "easy" it was for them to communicate and make friends. Alice and Lucy make a point to share that being a teenager is difficult for most individuals, however being a teenager with a disability could be an even more isolating experience. Louise didn’t know she had Asperger at that time, and never confided in her parents regarding her difficulty making friends because she was embarrassed. Confiding in someone about a personal challenge/weakness is an extremely vulnerable and difficult task, even if they are your parents. Therefore, she found herself heavily relying on the arts as a way of spending her time. Although she still felt ashamed for not wanting to go to parties or socializing as much as her peers, she enjoyed working with her artwork and figuring out what she liked and the specific quirks that made her who she is.
A main topic discussed on the podcast in relation to neurodiversity was invisible disability. Since communication is often largely at affect, in which many individuals find it hard to explain themselves, ask for help, and understand the communication of others. Louise mentioned that sometimes her brain gets tired of talking and she finds herself zoning out. She feels the inability to express to others what she is feeling and her difficulty being engaged without seeming rude. During her adolescence, she has had instances where people have called her rude and selfish due to her hardships in expressing her thoughts and feelings. Noticing negative reactions from others as a result of one’s behaviors can cause lingering effects for many children and teenagers, and in this case, Louise was hurt from being constantly “misunderstood.”
It was during a job training seminar in university, where Louise found out she has Asperger. Her reaction was to cry, whether it was a sense of relief because things started to make sense or a sense of sadness because she wished she knew sooner, was something she was unsure about. Now Louise feels a level of pride for everything she has achieved, from finishing university, getting a home, and working on her music career. Asperger is “just a different way of being” and she feels like she doesn’t have to pretend as much. When she makes a mistake, her friends and family know and understand why. Lucy supports Louise, by mentioning that a diagnosis is not a negative thing, in fact it could open many doors to other things.
Alice and Lucy went on to ask whether Asperger has become something Louise considers a superpower. To that Louise answered, “yes”. Although she wasn’t sure whether art and music became an integral part of her life because communication was so difficult or because it was due to her core personality, it still gave her a greater sense of control and form of articulation. Art and music is a way for her to express herself, and she saw herself with a new level of respect because she had these abilities in art, drawing, and writing. Creating music was a form of boosting her self-esteem in her own way. “I’m a wallflower,” she says, when talking about her unconventional music and glitter and sequin filled presence on the stage. It was admirable to hear the story of an individual, who was primarily confused during her adolescence, but found a way to use her ASD diagnosis to flourish and thrive within the music world.
