Harvest Moon - 9-9-2022 While the full moon was stealing the soul of my dso images, I decided to capture its soul as well. I know, no dso under a bright moon, but surprisingly, some of my data came alright... more of that later! Here I took 60 images, used 80% and stacked them, did some waveletsxin Pixinsight then finished up with color, etc in Photoshop. Moon - 1st Quarter Waxing 1-20-2021 . Whenever I can start taking pictures of the moon you know it is becoming more difficult for me to take pictures of deep space objects because of the additional light the moon throws into the sky. Filters like the L-eNhanced do help, but with bortle 8 skies (heavy light pollution), some of these DSO with moon sessions become a wash. I got lucky with the Heart Nebula data at the end of December (maybe I was just desperate amd delirious from COVID) amd I still need a little more data for my Rosette project, at least the moon is not full until next week! . The moon is the first target i ever took a picture of through a telescope (as with a lot of people) and it still holds a special place in my heart! . @nikonusa . Moon - 1-03-2021 (81% Luminosity, Waning) . I always get backlogged on my processing of the images I take of the Moon. Mainly because I typically take them with a different camera and I also get caught up in processing my deep sky data. I may use the 80mm this weekend to do some moon stuff, we will see. This image set was taken when there was a thin layer of clouds rolling through so I almost didn't even process these, but I think it came out alright.
