A Worthy Nikon Z5 Successor - Nikon Z6 III?

Welcome to the 120Hz 5.76MP EVF era of Nikon mirrorless, a 6-year journey in the making, to possibly deepen the engagement OVF users lost when they abandoned their DSLR.

With a pixel pitch of over 40% bigger than her DX counterpart, and working backward, the Z6 III should at least be getting an effective 28.9 MP output with this FX sensor (perhaps to give her that ISO 64000 edge over ZFC's 51200). Comparatively, the Nikon Z8 has a near-identical sensor density as the Nikon Zfc.

I am also surprised that 16-bit NEF is still absent in Nikon mirrorless line-up in 2024, where others have begun introuducing. The -8 EV AF detection range is indeed impressive, beating even the Nikon Z8 but still lagging behind the cheaper Nikon Zf.

Nikon Z6 II owners can rest easy. Not much loss for not upgrading...
