While Ryunosuke and Gin were reading something while thinking till the anon shows up asking the question. Ryunosuke blinks that Gin drops her tea cup breaking it.

"K..K..K..Kids?! with Luka!!" she squeaks but her face was a burning red to start sweating. "I..I mean...I would love to but..b....but what if he's not ready!? What if he's nervous about having kids with me!? What if something..." she tries calming down.

"Easy sis.." Ryunosuke rubs her back but looks to the anon. "As for me, I would love to have kids with Niko. I know they will be precious babies indeed." he chuckled. "Though, he'll have fun breeding me like a good slut." he purrs.

"Brother seriously???" she said looking at him.

"Well, think of it this way. You get to have fun with your little ice teddy bear." he teased that Gin blushes worse to cover her face. "You are such a pervert..."

Ryu Number: Phil Collins

Phil Collins is a musician well-known for his work with the band Genesis, which doesn't help me with how I keep confusing him with Peter Gabriel. He definitely has a Ryu Number, but how large it is depends fully on the level of hinkiness you're willing to swallow.

Aight, in order of reverse hinkiness:

In the 2018 video game Spider-Man, a side mission sees Spider-Man catching a casino heist in the prep stages. The apparent ringleader of the heist group (carefully balaclavaed) is named Niko, and makes reference to Roman being the driver—a clear reference to the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto IV and his brother, if nothing else.

Interestingly, the dialogue in Spider-Man identifies Roman as Niko's nephew, not his brother—but Grand Theft Auto IV ends with (among other things) the birth of Roman's son, so if you accept that Roman's kid might also end up being named Roman (Roman's that kind of fella, unless he isn't, in which case the kid might end up called Roman for a different but still cromulent reason), the Spider-Man appearance doesn't necessarily not jibe with Grand Theft Auto canon.

Following this route—hinky though it may be—through Grand Theft Auto character Lazlow Jones' recurring appearance as a radio host gives Phil Collins a Ryu Number of at most 3.

(Oh, right, yeah—Phil Collins is in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. His manager owes money to the mob, and it's the player character's job to make sure Mr. Collins doesn't end up with a bad case of hematic exosomosis. Once you're done with all of that, you can trade in a big wad of dough to watch him perform In the Air Tonight in late-noughties PlayStation glory. He does that thing where he walks all dramatic slowly down the stage till he gets to the drums to drop the beat and everything.)

Now, if you're leery about counting that as Bellic (which, fair), there's an alternate route of the same length, with the caveat that it requires the use of Grand Theft Auto Online, and I have no idea how that works. I've been informed that a content update called "The Contract" allows one to hear the melodious sound of Snoop Dogg playing guest host over the radio, but if you began a new game tomorrow, would you eventually be able to access to Contract-exclusive content? Are all the little fizzbangs and widgets of this level/mission/content/update kept sequestered away from the player unfortunate enough not to play this update when it first came out? Again, my knowledge of Grand Theft Auto Online is minus nil, but if this does work, then Phil Collins' Ryu Number is at most 4 again, except this time more cleanly.

(Yes, Snoop Dogg is in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. He's in the stage that's also called "Snoop Dogg," Snooping upon his Snoopish throne. You don't get to play as him, unfortunately. Try True Crime: Streets of LA. Or Call of Duty: Vanguard.)

Finally, just to cover my bases in case we must, after all, remain Snoopless: It's a longer route, but the cleanest one of the three, facilitated by Grand Theft Auto's tendency to staff its radio stations with real-life musicfolk. In this case, it's Funkmaster Flex to thank, giving Phil Collins a Ryu Number of at most 6.

"That looks great on you. It really shows off your curves." he teased that Ryu only smiled to see him look at the leash and even saw Ryunosuke kiss his lips.

"Thank you. You always seem to like me wearing all of these..but I wonder; which is your favorite?" he was curious since he tried plenty and now was curious. what did Niko like the most?

Of course he was thinking about it till he smiled to hold Ryu against him.

Does Insomniac’s Spider-Man have a Ryu number?

Peter Parker a.k.a Spider-Man has a Ryu Number of 1.

Okay, yes, I am being a bit flippant here, since I have to assume that the specification of Insomniac's Spider-Man from the Marvel's Spider-Man games (a.k.a. Spider-Man of Earth-1048) is deliberate, especially given that the Marvel multiverse is a pretty well-established thing at this point.

To be clear, for this blog's purposes, alternate versions of characters need to cross some nebulous threshold of difference to be counted as a different character altogether from the archetypal "original." What that threshold actually is, I don't have any interest in defining, but in this case, I don't consider the specific ways Earth-1048 Spider-Man is different from what I suppose is the archetypal Earth-616 Spider-Man to be enough to meet that threshold. This isn't the only criterion that has to be met, but rhetorically speaking, it's a Peter Parker what do the Spider-Man thing; it's all Spider-Man, to me, man.

Now, granted, it is actually kind of uniquely important and relevant that Marvel's Spider-Man Spider-Man is his own distinct Spider-Man, as it just so happens that not only is the biggest and most popular Spider-thing at the moment literally a multiverse of Spider-Men, Marvel's Spider-Man Spider Man is explicitly shown, on-screen, in Across the Spider-Verse.

So let's approach it from the angle that Marvel's Spider-Man Spider-Man is a different character from archetypal Spider-Man. What's his Ryu Number then?

...I don't think he has one?

Like, the Extended Ryu Number, like many, is trivial: I literally just talked about the connection above. But in terms of games, it's really just the Marvel's Spider-Man games and nothing else. The other Spider-Man characters are ineligible because we're operating from the assumption that Earth-1048's characters are necessarily distinct, and the extent of Spider-Verse appearances is a cut character from Across the Spider-Verse and a reference to 2099 in a Marvel's Spider-Man 2 sidequest.

There is a vaguely Eastern European would-be heister named Niko with a relative named Roman you can encounter and foil in Marvel's Spider-Man, but this Niko is apparently Roman's uncle?

If you wanna count that as Grand Theft Auto IV's Niko Bellic, you're welcome to do so, but I'm not particularly inclined to.

So going by that standard of character sameness, not much I can do with Marvel's Spider-Man's Spider-Man. He was created explicitly so the folks at Insomniac could play a bit faster and looser with the character of Peter Parker as Spider-Man, so unless/until they capitalize on the Spider-Verse in games by running back Shattered Dimensions, probably not going to be a whole lot going on at that level of specificity.

...Oh, who am I kidding, he'll be in a mobile game first. Hell, he might already be.

Rainbow Prince (2022)

Look I can't NOT put something from Rainbow Prince given how heavily the OST weighs in my playlists since I watched it. I could have picked most of the songs from that (incredible, campy, fun, touching) musical, but I think Sabi Mo Dati is the most beautiful of the track list. Ignoring who is supposed to sing it in the story, it's a lovely song about heartbreak and broken promises and Niko Badayos' voice is stunning (*¯ ³¯*)♡

Heute geht es in der #autorinnenchallenge von @socialmediafuerautorinnen um meinen #lieblingscharakter aus #tsurugumi .

Was soll ich sagen? Bei nahezu allen anderen Projekten würde mir die Antwort ziemlich leicht fallen. Zirkulum? Arik. Neshka? Erast. Totes Blut? Elanor. Ok, vielleicht auch Marquez. Zeugen der neunten Dimension? Alfred.

Aber hier? Ich mag Ryu sehr gerne, aber er funktioniert nur in Kombination mit Niko (den ich auch gerne mag). Sensei macht einen Heidenspaß, aber ohne Kenji? Er wäre langweilig. Tutu mag ich, aber auch nicht für sich allein. Tsuru-gumi beruht als Yakuza-Geschichte natürlich sehr auf Struktur und der Verbindung zwischen den Charakteren und Ikkos Coming-Of-Age macht es nicht besser. Ich kann schlecht einen Liebling benennen, weil hier niemand alleine stehen kann.
