In a generation where technology and other new school invention has drift and taken over  every aspect of true journalism for immediate trending stories on social media thereby reducing the effectiveness and relevance of verified news stories overshadowing the value of investigative and verified news by quick and fast-fast on the go hunger for what is trending on the internet has relegated hard earn news to the back, affecting the originality of real hard evidential news materials in Nigeria which Golden Page Magazine stands for.

Golden Page Magazine determine that most Nigerian news are unverified and from raging source and therefore lack credibility and value hence there is always a return of debunking.  It also Nigerians have come to the realisation that 95 percent of news stories publish in Nigeria is driven by social media and street gossips that ha not source.

Court Jails Man For Internet Fraud . Repost from @instablog9ja . EFCC has secured the conviction and sentencing of one Taiwo Michael Okunowo, an Internet fraudster, before Justice S.O. Solebo of the State High court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on a one- count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and possession of fraudulent documents. . . The convict was arrested following intelligence report received by the Commission on December 15, 2017 about his fraudulent activities. . . The count reads: “That you, Taiwo Michael Okunowo, (aka Holly Herlich, Mark Welsh, Steven Staller), on or about the 16th day of December, 2017, at Lagos within the Ikeja judicial Division, had in your possession documents containing false pretence titled- “Facebook & Government Compensation Winning Certificate, Treasure Grant Winners Certificate and Facebook-brandon M. Micke”- containing false pretence, which you knew to be false.” . . The defendant, who had earlier entered a plea bargain with the Commission, pleaded guilty to the charge preferred against him by the Commission. . .
