I was listening to Terror Twilight for the first time (2022 version) yesterday, and when I got to the outro of The Hexx, I was like "Wow this is really radioheady, this could've been on OK Computer", so I opened the song credits to check who had such a similar style in production to Nigel Godrich, only to find that it was in fact, Nigel Godrich

Now off this endorphin boost of being a good music listener, I of course go to his wikipedia page to read more about him (I do this every time I come across ANY celebrity, major or minor) only to find out that this man is STACKED in credits.

Not only did he produce every good radiohead album, but also some Pavement (as implied earlier), the best modern Paul McCartney album, some stuff for R.E.M., Arcade Fire, Beck, and Roger Waters, but most importantly PRODUCED AND CO-WROTE THE SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD SOUNDTRACK.

All this to say that Thom Yorke and Michael Cera are one degree of separation apart

Why Isaac? Just WHY?!

(Y’all may hate me after this so please be warned)

Our favorite revolutionary couple has American Captain Isaac Higgintoot and British Lieutenant Colonel Nigel Chessum. In a shocking turn of events, we learned that while Isaac was admiring Nigel through his new invention, the “Eyesaac”, he did one of his iconic sneezes and shot Nigel making him the first British ghosts on the Woodstone Mansion property.

While this was heartbreaking (sometimes funny) for most fans, there were things I noticed that I can’t help but question.

If Isaac wasn’t planning on killing Nigel, why the fuck was the rifle loaded?!

I mean, really? Isaac could at least check to see if the rifle was loaded, so in case he accidentally pulled the trigger (like he did here) Nigel wouldn’t be in danger of getting a bullet in him and ended up dying.

Speaking of the trigger, why was Isaac’s goddamn finger was even on it in the first place?! Listen I know during that time Isaac and Nigel was in war and stuff, but still. If Isaac’s intentions wasn’t killing him (he stated it during the episode after the reveal), why was the finger on the trigger?!

Clearly Isaac didn’t think things through and that caused for another person to become a ghost of Woodstone Mansion for eternity.

I'm having mixed feelings about this season for now. I'm liking it because of the perspective that Isaac is being very funny (I love Brandon for that) and also because I've been missing this show so much.

But at the same time I'm worried because I feel that the show is returning to its status quo by making Nigel return to the shed and with that I feel that we won't have much development regarding Nisaac, especially because the new Patience thing, so I I have the impression that most of the episodes will focus on her, but I hope I'm wrong.

And I also hope that this plot of Isaac wanting to improve is not just for fun, but that it is something that will be worked on seriously in the show.

Another point: I thought that with Nigel living in the mansion we would have more scenes of him, but in the second episode they sent him to the shed again.

Nigel deserved more attention, John Hartman has so much potential and the character is so beloved.

Look, I know I already said my peace when it comes to the future of Isaac and Nigel’s relationship. And again, at the end of the day, the Joes can do whatever the hell they want with their show.

But from a LGBTQIA+ representation standpoint/perspective, if they choose to break them up for good, that’s IMMENSELY disappointing.

Here we had two queer characters who genuinely liked each other, had good chemistry together, and had made a lot of progress since they’ve made their feelings known to each other, just for all of it to be thrown out the window because ‘they were only together because they were both gay and that meant they had to be together’ suddenly.

Like, are you kidding me? Have the makers of ‘Ghosts’ suddenly developed amnesia or something? Did the Men In Black come to them with a freaking Neuralyzer and erased their memories and replaced them with ‘oh yeah they were only into each other because they were both gay so it made sense’.

Why is it mandatory for a queer couple on television to go through such turmoil and heartache before they can have a happy ending? If at all! Why can’t we just get a nice, happy queer couple that stay together for the entire fucking show. Yes they can have problems of course, what couple doesn’t have issues. But not issues where they just straight (not really lol 🏳️‍🌈) up break things off.

And don’t even get me started on the lack of PDA from Isaac and Nigel…😤 Every other couple on ‘Ghosts’ have kissed, made out, got busy (if you know what I mean 😏) on MULTIPLE occasions but all we got out of these two were two hugs and ONE kiss. ONE KISS.

*sigh* I’m honestly starting to get a headache so I’ll just end this right here.
