Storm (Ororo Munroe) is having a date with Craig Marshall the nice human on Arakko-Mars until Charles Xavier ruins their evening.
X-Men Red v2 #11, 2023
Also Craig is a fan of Night Thrasher too. This is not the first time when the character in Al Ewing's comics are fans of Night Thrasher.

DELISTED: NIGEL HIGGINS
Nigel Higgins was once a Punisher copycat from the UK, going by Outlaw. However, he came to regret this life path, and eventually came to seek a way to resurrect his victims. This latter story happened in the pages of Contest of Champions Vol. 1, which was the companion comic book for the launch of Marvel Contest of Champions (“MCOC”), the mobile game. Nevertheless, across several years of chances, Summoners (the name for people who play MCOC) continued to leave Nigel among the lowest-ranked characters on the MCOC Wishlist. He will be footnoted as a good obscure champ to pair with a Punisher-related character like Jigsaw, Punisher (War Machine), or Frankencastle.

Favorite Tony Jay Roles
This past August 13th, marked the 17th anniversary of the passing of actor and voice over actor Tony Jay. Known for his deep baritone voice, Tony would go on to voice many villainous characters in his career.
He performed in several Disney productions and famously provided the voice to the evil Judge Claude Frollo from ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame'' where he not only provided Frollo's voice but also performed the song 'Hellfire'' which is considered by many as the best Disney villain song.
Thanks to Tony's distinctive voice, he would go appear in numerous cartoons in the 80s through the 2000s. He would also go on to appear in many tv shows where he played both good and evil characters. Tony did get show off his humor in several roles.
Despite his talent for playing evil roles, Tony Jay was a kind and wonderful man who many enjoyed working with.
Judge Claude Frollo, Disney's ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame''.
Shere Khan, ''TaleSpin''
Shere Khan ''The Jungle Book 2''
Monsieur D'Arque, Disney's ''Beauty and the Beast''
Chairface Chippendale, ''The Tick''
Baron Mordo, ''Spider-Man the Animated Series''
Dr. Werner Lipschitz, ''Rugrats''
Rex Smythe Higgins, ''Hey Arnold''
Nigel St. John, ''Lois and Clark, The New Adventures of Superman''
Laszlo Glagorian, ''The Golden Girls''
Some of my favorite Tony Jay roles.

(1) I would read the hell out of either Ted or Beard as detective with the other as sidekick, but if Ted were Sherlock, I assume it would be a Without A Clue fusion. XD
(2) Honestly, I'm now considering a team of Rebecca and Keeley solving mysteries together, sometimes teaming up with Sassy, Nora, Barbara, and/or Jade -- first client is Bex! -- and I want THAT. But I am not convinced that either Rebecca or Keeley would always take the lead. If forced to choose, it's easier to see Rebecca as lead, but I love to think they'd take turns depending on the nature of the case. KRPI - Keeley & Rebecca, Private Investigators?
(3) Roy would solve the mysteries silently, and nobody would ever learn the solutions. (Although Jamie and Keeley are capable of interpreting his growls, and perhaps they occasionally share info with others.)
(4) If you chose Jamie as the most hilarious option, please get out of my head. And maybe go read my latest chapter, in which Jamie tries to be a detective.
(5) Or should it perhaps be Jade with Nate as her Watson? She could absolutely intimidate people with her scathing observations. Though Nate would be a Watson of the more bumbling and hilarious variety (smarter than a Nigel Bruce Watson, of course, but with stellar physical and verbal comedy, and not terribly useful in a fight).
(6) Higgins would totally have Will as his Watson, bringing him along to mysterious destinations; playing stringed instruments at all hours; possibly interfering with his attempted sexual adventures. OTOH, Will would be a phenomenal detective for anything that transpired in the boot room, ever.
(7) I'm assuming Trent will sweep because he's a reporter, sneaky Colin tracker, etc. Almost left him off just for the fun of forcing people to pick from the harder choices, but couldn't bear to exclude him. Would totally read him and Ted solving crimes. (Who am I kidding, I would read any of these in a heartbeat.)
(8) Personal faves that I ran out of room for: Jan Maas, the himbo with the manners to match modern Holmes adaptations; Phoebe, who brooks no bullshit and should absolutely solve mysteries with Roy providing backup. I could always do follow-up polls if there are enough write-ins. :)
Final note: I am not planning to write any of these; AUs are generally not my writing wheelhouse. If you want to run with any of them, please do! And if this makes you crave detective AUs more broadly, there are currently a very small but non-zero number of them, even if none are Sherlockian. :)
#ted lasso#sherlock holmes#ridiculous polls#polls#questions that float around in my head when I'm trying to work on WIPs#i'm not saying this is an obvious crossover choice#far from it#but tbh with all the more obscure crossovers in the fandom#I'm amazed there aren't any yet#op

Fistula Film
Fistula
This short film has been made to raise awareness, reduce stigma about fistula, and highlight the devastating impact fistula has on women who live with this condition. The goal is to make life better and safer for women giving birth and to prevent fistula from happening in the first place. The film is a call to action to improve access to maternal care including quality, safe, timely, and affordable surgical, obstetric, and anesthesia care—and promote safe motherhood for all.
What is Fistula ? Obstetric fistula is a devastating childbirth injury in which an abnormal opening forms between a woman’s bladder and vagina or between the rectum and the vagina as a result of prolonged obstructed labor, resulting in continuous urinary or stool leakage. This condition is rare in high-income countries due to readily available obstetric care, while it continues to plague women in low resource settings. Estimates suggest that at least 2 million women have unrepaired obstetric fistula in low-income countries.
Goal The goal of this film is to enhance public, national, and international awareness, raising the priority of women’s reproductive health for low resource countries, expanding access to emergency obstetric and surgical services, and supporting holistic and high-quality obstetric fistula care for all who need it. The film is particularly timely given recent WHO data in 2023 showing that maternal deaths have increased or stagnated in nearly all regions of the world in the last 20 years, and continued staggering gaps in access to surgical, obstetric, and anesthesia care.
The film will also decrease the stigma imposed on women living with fistula through awareness. Finally, with increasing migration of women to high resource countries due to global instability from conflict, climate change, pandemic etc, it is critical that the medical community in high resource countries is educated and prepared to care for these women.

Protest Singer
by momebie (katilara)
Stede Bonnet’s mid-life crisis is pretty tame as they go. He merely separates from his wife, quits his job, and sets out to become an indie folk punk musician. What, he thinks, can possibly go wrong?
Edward Teach is tired of the music scene, and his persona as the indie rock musician Blackbeard, but can’t seem to let music itself go. Izzy convinces him to release one more album, his first in seven years. What, he thinks, can possibly go right?
Making music takes a village, but all it takes is one note to make a heart sing.

Collector brags and shows off to everyone in the room by claiming that he kidnapped Ares from the Greek Afterlife. As Outlaw (Nigel Higgins) asked Iron Man and Gamora about him (Collector), they explained to him who he is. Then, Iron Man tries to be friendly to Maestro but he backs off when the future Hulk threatened to smash him if he keeps calling him 'Banner'. While everyone else are talking, Outlaw notices the cracks in Ares' crystal prison and points out to everyone that Ares is awake. As the crystal is cracking, Guillotine and the others become gung-ho by daring to challenge Maestro even though Stick tries to warn them not to fight him. Moments later, Ares breaks out of the crystal prison and fights Maestro. However, they are too evenly-matched for both Ares and Maestro as they have the higher strength level compared to the other contestants. Guillotine, Iron Man, Gamora and even Outlaw join in the fight but they were swatted away by Maestro. Since Maestro had subdued them, the exhausted Ares had little choice but to stand down. Stick advises to everyone that fighting Maestro without any strategy is a bad idea. Stick explains to them that Ares is instead biding his time in learning weaknesses and figuring out how to take down Maestro without constantly losing.

This is Outlaw... and let's keep it real... he is pretty much just "British Punisher" but he is an honest-to-goodness interesting side character that sticks around for more than like 3 books which in Punisher world makes him literally something we never see so I'll take it...
