Navigating Newcastle: The Convenience and Comfort of Newcastle Airport Taxis
Tumblr media
Newcastle, a vibrant city in the northeast of England, is not only known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and friendly locals but also for its well-connected transportation system. Among the various modes of getting to and from Newcastle, the Newcastle Airport taxi service stands out as a reliable and convenient choice for travelers. Read  the many facets of the Newcastle Airport taxi service, shedding light on its benefits, convenience, and how it enhances the overall travel experience.
Accessibility and Location
Newcastle Airport, situated approximately 6 miles northwest of the city center, is a bustling hub for both domestic and international flights. One of the primary advantages of the airport is its accessibility via various transportation modes, with taxis being a preferred option for many travelers. The taxi rank is strategically located just outside the terminal building, making it easily accessible to passengers upon arrival.
Convenience and Reliability
When it comes to convenience, few options can match the ease of booking a Newcastle taxi. Whether you're arriving at the airport or need a ride to catch your flight, taxis are readily available 24/7. Passengers can book in advance or simply walk up to the taxi rank, where they will find a line of licensed taxis waiting to serve them promptly. The reliability of this service ensures that travelers can count on a hassle-free journey.
Professional and Knowledgeable Drivers
Newcastle Airport taxis are operated by licensed and professional drivers who are familiar with the city and its surroundings. They undergo rigorous training and background checks to ensure passengers' safety and comfort. These drivers are not only skilled at navigating the city's streets but are also knowledgeable about the local attractions and can offer valuable tips to visitors.
Comfort and Quality Vehicles
The Newcastle Airport taxi fleet consists of a variety of vehicles to suit different passenger needs. Whether you are traveling solo, with family, or as part of a larger group, you can expect to find a vehicle that accommodates your requirements. The taxis are well-maintained, clean, and equipped with modern amenities to provide a comfortable ride, regardless of the distance.
Cost-Effective Transportation
While some might perceive taxis as an expensive mode of transportation, Newcastle Airport taxis offer competitive pricing, especially when shared among multiple passengers. When compared to other private transportation options or parking fees at the airport, taxis often prove to be a cost-effective and convenient choice.
Time Efficiency
Time is of the essence when traveling, and Newcastle Airport taxis excel in this regard. Unlike public transportation, which may have fixed schedules and stops, taxis offer a door-to-door service. This not only saves time but also eliminates the need for multiple Airport transfers, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey.
Accessibility for All
Newcastle Airport taxis are accessible to all passengers, including those with special needs. Most taxi operators have vehicles equipped with ramps or lifts to accommodate passengers with mobility challenges. Additionally, passengers can request wheelchair-accessible vehicles when booking in advance, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the convenience of this service.
Advanced Booking Options
For those who prefer to plan ahead, Newcastle Airport taxis offer advanced booking options. You can reserve a taxi online or via phone, ensuring that you have a vehicle waiting for you at the airport or your chosen pickup location. This option is especially convenient during peak travel times when demand for taxis can be high.
Supporting Local Economy
By choosing Newcastle Airport taxis, passengers contribute to the local economy. Taxi drivers are often residents of the area, and the revenue generated from UK taxi services helps support local businesses and infrastructure development.
In the realm of transportation options at Newcastle Airport, Airport Taxi Company shine as a convenient, reliable, and comfortable choice for travelers. With their accessibility, professional drivers, quality vehicles, cost-effectiveness, and advanced booking options, Newcastle Airport taxis offer a seamless travel experience. Whether you're a visitor exploring the city or a local returning home, the Newcastle Airport taxi service stands ready to enhance your journey and make it a stress-free and enjoyable experience.

Friday 31st May A holiday postscript
I left you at at Auckland airport, about to board the big plane for the 17-hour, 9000 mile first part of the return journey. Well, there was a hiccup with the boarding! Just as the first class passengers were rising from their seats, an awful racket approached rapidly from the heart of the airport. An in-airport, open-top taxi arrived with much tooting, carrying an overwrought driver, two policeman, an airport official and a woman venting her fury to all and sundry at the top of her raging voice. She was very speedily escorted right through the very gate we were supposed to be heading for. Well, I don’t know what they did with her - perhaps every Airbus 380 has a padded cell to contain miscreants - but we never saw or heard from her again. It unsettled the waiting passengers; there was little said but very many exchanged quizzical looks. However, everything settled and, by the time we boarded, I had forgotten all about it! I was much more concerned about being surrounded by children for 17 enclosed hours. I needn’t have worried, they were all angelic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was right about it remaining dark! The whole 17 hours were flown with no possibility of me catching a glimpse of any part of Australia, Indonesia or India but just as we neared Dubai, a flicker of a lightening sky appeared. By the time we flew out again, only an hour or so later. the sun was high in the sky. Did I see any of Europe? Not a thing! I was sitting right over the wing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The last of eight flights in three weeks returned us to Newcastle - to family and friends we have missed over the last few weeks. It was great to be met by June and Bill who whisked us (well, as fast as the A1 roadworks allowed) home. Since then, it has been a battle to keep my eyes open. I’m hoping to make it to 9pm!
Tumblr media
Two happy, weary travellers, glad to have had the chance to do this all again.

Article and Itinerary by @warrenwoodhouse
Here’s the list in order of places visited. I would like to suggest that you pre-book transport arrangements as buses in Dublin require a Leap Card, these aren’t free and are quite expensive in Euros. Anthony's Stupid Daily Blog (663): Tue 9th Jan 2024
Up at five in the cunting morning to get a taxi to Newcastle airport. It wasn’t cheap but since this trip is to repair the psychological damage the overtime I did over Christmas then this money was a pittance. My two options coming out of this period of overtime were to either murder someone or go on holiday so if paying £48 for a taxi ride to the airport stopped me from taking an innocent life then I think it was more than worth it (though thinking about it I could have just taken a non-innocent life, ah well too late now). I probably could have gotten a train at half six to the airport but I didn’t want to risk it being cancelled because they’ve been fucking useless over the last few months. I wobbled around the airport for three hours trying to kill time before the flight. Luckily I remembered to download a lot of episodes of Ideas Man the podcast from Ian Boldsworth and Barry Dodds which is just as funny as The Parapod if not more so. I was laughing so hard at one episode in a booth in Burger King that I started to get looks from other diners. As I was making towards the departure lounge for my flight I saw that a lot of other passengers gets had little yellow tags on their rucksacks and that’s when it hit me: “Oh fuck I forgot to get my bag weighed”. I was terrified that the Nazi bitch at the departure lounge was going to see that I didn’t have a yellow tag on and not let me on the flight. Luckily she just checked my passport and waved me straight through. Looking back I think those yellow tags were just for people who didn’t check in online like I did but I was genuinely scared there for a moment. I thought I was going to have to sprint back through the airport to get the back then sprint back to try and catch the plane. To be honest if the plane had already left I could probably rectify the situation by recreating the jetway scene from Dumb and Dumber. I’d probably end up with a broken back but it would be worth it. The flight was alright but some couple brought their kid with them who was a screaming little cunt for almost the entire flight. I genuinely wish that the oracles from the movie Minority Report were real because we could use them to disallow kids onto the plane who they predict are probably going to be a nuisance (I mean they would probably be used to predict if anyones going to try and blow the plane up but they can be used for two things). We landed thirty minutes ahead of schedule and the coach ride to the hotel didn’t take that long either. The hotel I’m staying in now is considerably nicer than the one I stayed in three months ago (unless you like your hotel to have ants crawling all over the floor which I don’t because I’m not an anteater. Maybe that hotel charged you to rent an anteater for the duration of your stay in addition to the fucking Wi-Fi). After I got unpacked I went for a walk around the area and got to enjoy the Sun for a few hours then went to a kiosk across the road from my hotel and booked a day of surfing for tomorrow. I can't believe I put off solo travel for so long because it does me the world of good and I urge everyone to give it a go.

Manchester and Newcastle diary
I went to Manchester and Newcastle for the weekend to see my favorite artist in Newcastle. Very random. But here are more random things to happen:
While boarding the plane the flight attendant said “Congratulations for yesterday” while he repeated my name. I was confused for a minute because all I could think about was the Argentina and Paraguay game where Argentina won. Curse my Argentina mind to only think about football and Messi. Classic Argentina. But no, he kept asking me if I lived in Spain (which I do now) and I said yes but still didn’t get it. Until I realized October 12th is the day of the Virgin of Pilar which is very important in Spain. I knew it. But I am Argentinean and had slept for less than 5 hours probably.
The guy at the passport control in Manchester asked me the usual questions: Why are you here? Do you know anyone in England? Where are you staying? Are you staying in Manchester? So I said “No, I’m going to Newcastle for a day tomorrow” and he was very confused (stop shading Newcastle English people) so I told him I was going to see a concert. He then points out he is from Newcastle, and I try to be friendly and mention the football team which I had watched a few games a few times (they are not winning the champions, Matty Healy) and he goes: yeah, it’s all we have. And when I point out how they had won against PSG he goes: yeah whatever. I guess he wasn’t into football.
I went to see the Japanese house at Newcastle University and it blew my mind. I love smaller intimate shows (Istg Amber smiled at me during boyhood). The entire set I was just vibing and singing along to the songs. It felt so beautiful, almost religiously. During Sunshine Baby when they said “Hold on to this feeling because you won’t feel it for long” I started crying which I had never cried during a concert. Amber radiates such a beautiful and fun energy you can’t miss it.
On my way to the airport, the taxi driver asked if we could stop for petrol ( at 4 a.m. This is the second time an Uber/taxi has asked me to stop for gas in a year. It’s always so awkward not to mention how dangerous it can be. I am alive and well so no worries but it’s always good to have someone tracking your location when you are in a taxi/Uber etc.
To be honest, I really liked Newcastle and Manchester was okay. But every time I go to England I think about moving there. I need to stop going because I get this horrible feeling that I need to stay but I can’t. I might write more about this soonish because it’s been troubling my mind for the past month and need to get it out.
