New Zealand is well-known for its breathtaking scenery and daring activities, but it is also a foodie's paradise. The country has a diversified culinary landscape, inspired by its indigenous Maori culture and immigration cultures. From delectable treats to Savory specialties, New Zealand has a delicious selection of foods to suit every appetite. Pavlova is a light and fluffy dessert topped with whipped cream and fresh fruit that should not be missed. This famous Kiwi dish is a popular choice at celebrations and gatherings around the country. Another must-have is hangi, a traditional Moori way of cooking meals in an underground oven that produces smokey, soft meats and flavourful veggies. For those with a sweet tooth, hokey pokey ice cream is a must-try. This creamy dessert contains crunchy bits of honeycomb toffee, resulting in a delicious blend of textures and Flavors. And seafood fans will want to try Bluff oysters, which are picked from the clean waters of Foveaux Strait and are known for their plump texture and saline flavour. These are just a handful of the delectable New Zealand delicacies ready to be sampled. So, whether you're touring the busy streets of Auckland or the tranquil countryside of the South Island, make sure you sample these gastronomic treats for a real flavor of Kiwi friendliness.
Here are some delicious New Zealand foods to try.
1. Pavlova: Pavlova is a traditional New Zealand dessert made of a delicate meringue foundation and topped with whipped cream and fresh fruits, including kiwifruit, strawberries, and passionfruit. This light and fluffy dessert, named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova, is a popular choice for celebrations and special events around New Zealand. Its crunchy outer shell and soft, marshmallow-like core offer an ideal combination of sweetness and texture that is guaranteed to please the palate.
2. Hangi: Hangi is a traditional Maori cooking method in which food is steamed in an underground oven. This unusual cooking technique adds a smokey taste to the meal while keeping it moist and delicate. A hangi feast usually includes a range of meats, including chicken, hog, and lamb, as well as root vegetables like potatoes, kumara (sweet potatoes), and pumpkin. The resultant dishes are bursting with flavour and scent, making hangi a must-try culinary experience for tourists to New Zealand.
3. Hokey Pokey Ice Cream: Hokey pokey ice cream is a popular New Zealand delicacy made with vanilla ice cream and crunchy pieces of honeycomb toffee. The caramelized flavour and pleasant crunch of the hokey pokey bits complement the sweet and creamy ice cream, resulting in a lovely texture and taste contrast. Hokey pokey ice cream, whether served in a cone or in a dish with toppings such as chocolate sauce or fresh berries, can please any sweet craving.
4. Whitebait Fritters: Whitebait fritters are a famous dish in New Zealand, prepared from the small, transparent fish known as whitebait. These delicate fish are combined with eggs and spices before being pan-fried to perfection, yielding a light and fluffy fritter with a subtle seafood taste. Whitebait fritters, which are frequently served as an appetizer or snack, are best consumed straight from the griddle with a squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkling of sea salt.
5.Kiwifruit: Kiwifruit, often known as kiwi, is a New Zealand native fruit that has grown in popularity worldwide due to its brilliant green flesh and distinct tangy-sweet flavor. Kiwifruit is high in vitamin C and fiber and may be eaten fresh or added to a number of meals, including fruit salads, smoothies, desserts, and Savory foods. Kiwifruit, whether sliced and eaten with a spoon or used as a colourful garnish, provides a refreshing blast of flavor to any meal.
6. L&P: L&P, which stands for Lemon & Paeroa, is a traditional New Zealand soft drink that has become an iconic Kiwi beverage. L&P is made with natural spring water from the town of Paeroa and flavoured with genuine lemon juice, giving it a notably crisp and zesty taste that is both refreshing and thirst-quenching. L&P is a popular Kiwi drink that symbolizes the laid-back and easygoing culture of New Zealand, whether consumed on its own or blended with other beverages such as soda or ginger beer.
7. Bluff oysters: Bluff oysters are a renowned delicacy obtained from the pristine waters of the Foveaux Strait on New Zealand's South Island. Bluff oysters are renowned for their plump texture and rich, salty flavor, making them among the world's best oysters. Bluff oysters are a gourmet delicacy that seafood enthusiasts will not want to miss when visiting New Zealand. They may be eaten raw on the half shell with a squeeze of lemon juice or cooked in a variety of recipes, such as oyster stew or tempura.
Conclusion
Exploring New Zealand's excellent dishes is crucial for appreciating the country's rich culinary heritage. From the classic pavlova to the savory hangi, each meal represents a distinct aspect of Kiwi culture and cuisine. Whether you're enjoying hokey pokey ice cream or the freshness of Bluff oysters, there's something for everyone's taste. Thailand Targets Tourism Revenue of 3.18 Trillion Baht in 2020
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has set a target of 3.18 trillion Baht in overall tourism revenue for 2020, a 4% year-on-year increase. The amount includes 2.02 trillion Baht from international tourists, up 3%, and 1.16 trillion Baht from domestic tourists, an increase of 5%. Last year, Thailand is estimated to have generated 3.06 trillion Baht, a 4% increase on 2018. This impressive amount includes 1.96 trillion Baht, an increase of 4%, from 39.77 million international tourists, also up 4%, and 1.10 trillion Baht, a growth of 3%, from 167 million domestic trips, up 1%. Thailand welcomed its 39 millionth tourist of the year on 27 December 2019.
TAT’s target for 2020 is based on several favourable factors, ranging from the government’s stimulus measures, TAT’s focussed marketing strategies and promotions of emerging destinations, new air routes and the positive outlook of international tourists to Thailand from key source markets,” said Khun Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor. The Thai government has launched a number of measures designed to help stimulate more inbound travel, including the opening of more VAT refund shops and counters, 24-hour cross-border service on the Thai-Malaysian and Thai-Lao borders during weekends and holidays, e-visas and exemption of the visa-on-arrival fee until 30 April 2020, and a 50% discount on airport landing fees for international flights from 1 December 2019 to 30 April 2020, to name but a few. New air routes, including Hangzhou-Chiang Rai, Sendai-Bangkok, Munich-Phuket, and Doha-Chiang Mai, will also help to boost arrivals. Mr. Yuthasak said, “Leveraging these favourable factors and gearing up to mark the 60th anniversary in 2020, TAT is committed to making travel and tourism the kingdom’s most economically promising, environmentally sustainable, and culturally vibrant sector.” In 2020, TAT is seeing a positive outlook of international tourists to Thailand from several markets including the CLMV countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam), Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Spain, Eastern Europe, Israel and the US. The Chinese, Singaporean and Middle Eastern markets are showing signs of recovery, while the Japanese, Hong Kong, European, Scandinavian, Australian and Latin American markets are expected to remain stable or show a slow growth. Mr. Yuthasak said, “TAT is also preparing to overcome several challenges, including the effect from the China–US trade war, the rise in consumption tax in Japan, and Brexit. The strong Thai Baht, Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, World Expo 2020 Dubai and stimulus visa schemes from country competitors have also been taken into consideration when laying out our tourism marketing strategies.” See latest Travel News, Interviews, Podcasts and other news regarding: TAT, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thailand, Sisaket, Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kaen, Roi-Et. This relates to Fast Tracking UK Visa and explains all the available priority and premium services from outside and inside the UK to expedite the UK Visa Processing Time and covers the following topics:
Priority, Premium and Super-Premium Visa Service from Inside the UK
UK Priority and Super-Priority Visa Service from Outside the UK
Service Delays: When Not to Use Priority or Premium Service
Priority Visa Processing Service 10 Days
Premium or Same Day Processing Service
Super Premium Service 24 Hours
Who Can’t Use Premium or Super-Premium Service
Priority Non-Settlement Visa Processing Time 5 Days
Priority Settlement Processing Time 30 Days
Super-Priority Visa Service 24 Hours
Please note: these services are not available for all types of visa applications and an applicant is required to pay the standard application fee and the applicable immigration health surcharge. Moreover, these are meant for processing a straightforward application and not for influencing the decision.
Priority and Premium Visa Service from Inside the UK
From inside the UK, there are three services for expediting/fast-tracking the UK Visa Processing viz. Priority Service, Premium Service Centres and Super Premium Service.
Priority Visa Processing Service 10 Days
The price of Priority service from inside the UK is £459 and the service standard is to process a straightforward application within 10 working days. It is available for applicants applying to remain on a temporary basis including as, Tier 1 General and Entrepreneurs, Spouses, Workers, Organisations seeking to Sponsor a Worker, and Students.
Premium or Same Day Processing Service
Premium or same day visa processing facility is available at Premium Service Centres for a fee of £590. This service can be used for extension applications (‘limited leave to remain’) and permanent settlement applications (ILR).
Super Premium Service 24 Hours
For applicants, who can afford, there is a Super Premium Service, which is a mobile service and costs £10,500 per visit, plus the premium service fee. It is an extension of Premium Service and is a mobile service i.e. a courier collects application forms and documents and for biometrics information staff of the premium-service centre visits the applicant. An applicant chooses the location and time of the visit (b/w midday and 3:00 PM, Mon-Fri). The application is usually decided within 24 hours.
Who Can’t Use Premium or Super-Premium Service
According to UKVI, following types of applicants are ineligible for the use of premium or super-premium service:
You can’t use the premium service if you’re applying under Tier 1 (Investor). You can’t use the premium or super premium service if you’re:
a business person, innovator, sole representative or investor

someone whose case is complex because of personal circumstances
someone whose case isn’t covered by the Immigration Rules
sponsored by a member of staff at a premium service centre
applying for a Home Office travel document
applying for naturalisation or registration as a UK national
applying as a victim of domestic violence
applying for an European Economic Area (EEA) residence card or permanent residence card
applying for an EEA registration certificate as an unmarried partner
applying for an EEA registration certificate and you’re not a qualified person applying for proof of a right of abode
You also can’t use the premium or super premium service if you’re applying for discretionary leave to remain or humanitarian protection unless:
you’re applying under the transitional arrangements to extend your discretionary leave after 3 years
you’re applying to settle in the UK after 6 years discretionary leave
via Visa Premium Service Centres
UK Priority Visa Service from Outside the UK
The UK Priority Service from outside the UK is available for settlement as well as non-settlement visa applications such as visit, work and study from most of the UK Visa Applications Centres (UKVACs). Moreover, at a few UKVACs, Super Priority Visa Service is also available.
Priority Non-Settlement Visa Processing Time 5 Days
The cost of non-settlement priority service is £184 with a service standard of processing applications within 5 working days. Therefore, instead of 15-30 days (or 3-6 weeks) waiting time for the Standard Visa Service, an applicant is quite likely to get a decision within a week’s time by using the priority service. If an applicant can afford and he/she intends to get the decision as soon as possible then priority service is recommended. Contrarily, if an applicant thinks that by using a priority service he/she will get the visa then the applicant is mistaken as priority service is not meant for influencing the decision. Information available at UK Family, Business, Tourist and Long Term Visit Visa Processing Times indicates that apart from a few exceptions at an average approx. 40-60% of the visitor visa applications are decided within 5 working days.
UKVI’s Service Standard- Customers applying for a visa from outside the UK 90% of non-settlement applications within 3 weeks, 98% within 6 weeks and 100% within 12 weeks of the application date (where 1 week is 5 working days)
Priority Settlement Processing Time 30 Days
The settlement visas from outside the UK takes 12-24 weeks (60-120 working days), therefore, at times it is quite wise to use the Settlement Priority Service, which cost £551 per application but the service standard time is 30 days or 6 weeks. Information available at UK Settlement Visa Processing Time indicates that 25-50% settlement applications are decided within 30 days, which indicates the ever-increasing use of the priority settlement visa service.
UKVI’s Service Standard- Customers applying for Settlement from outside the UK. 95% of settlement applications within 12 weeks of the application date and 100% within 24 weeks of the application date (where 1 week is 5 working days)
Super-Priority Visa Service 24 Hours
The Super-priority visa service is the same day service and costs £919. The service is not available in most of the countries and it is also not available for settlement visa application processing. For instance, in India, it is available at UKVAC New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai for visitor visas, Tier 2 and Tier 5 visa applications.
Delays in Priority Visa Processing Time
Although, using a priority or premium service only expedites/fast-track the UK Visa Processing Time for straightforward and well-documented cases and do not have any influence on the outcome. Therefore, these services are only used when an Applicant’s focus is to get the decision as quickly as possible and not otherwise i.e. use of these services will increase the balance of probability of granting a visa. Accordingly, if the case is not straightforward/well-documented then delays in the processing time are inevitable and as such these services are not recommended in circumstances where an applicant:
has either been refused a visa (for UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the USA, or the Schengen countries) or leave to enter the UK and/or;
has either overstayed or been deported, removed, or otherwise required to leave the UK, and/or;
leave to remain in the UK was curtailed by the Home Office, and/or;
refused leave to remain in the UK by the Home Office, and/or;
was interviewed, detained, or prosecuted by the police for any offence in the United Kingdom or elsewhere, and/or;
has an unspent criminal conviction in any country, and/or;
has committed a criminal offence in any country.
Consequently, if the applicant is not straightforward/well-documented then, in spite of paying the service charges for a priority or premium service, the UK Visa Processing Time is expected to experience delays beyond the stated service standards.

New Zealand is well-known for its spectacular scenery and natural treasures, but it also has numerous lovely islands that await exploration. These islands provide a wide range of experiences, from pristine beaches to rough wilderness, making them must-see locations for those seeking adventure and quiet. Nestled in the great expanse of the Pacific Ocean, these islands have distinct ecosystems, a rich cultural legacy, and unrivaled beauty. From the beautiful coasts of Waiheke Island to the Rocky Mountains of Stewart Island, each island in New Zealand has its own unique appeal and fascination. Whether you want to hike through natural woods, dive in crystal-clear lakes, or learn about Maori culture, there is something for everyone to enjoy. As you travel to these breathtaking islands, you will be intrigued by the rich diversity of wildlife, which ranges from playful dolphins to towering seabirds. You'll also get the opportunity to learn about the indigenous Maori people's rich history and customs, who have a strong connection to their land. Whether you want to relax on isolated beaches or have adrenaline-pumping experiences in the great outdoors, the gorgeous islands of New Zealand guarantee an amazing experience that will leave you in awe of nature. So pack your bags and prepare to start on a voyage of exploration to these magnificent islands in the heart of the South Pacific.
Here are some stunning islands in New Zealand you must visit.
1. Stewart Island: Rakiura Island is another name for Stewart Island. It is New Zealand's third-largest island. You have to visit this lovely island if you want to walk and hike amid amazing animals and breathtaking scenery. Thirty kilometres separate the island from the South Island. The island has only one settlement, Oban. Oban is located on the island's eastern side, opposite Halfmoon Bay.
2. Waiheke Island: One of New Zealand's most stunning and sizable islands is Waiheke Island. This is the island for you if you've always wanted to have a destination wedding or spend your honeymoon on an island. The island has unique beaches and gorgeous vineyards. The island has a large population. Accessing Waiheke Island is a breeze. In approximately forty minutes, you may get to the island from Auckland by ferryboat. The island is ideal for a day vacation because it is so conveniently accessible.
3. New Caledonia: One of the most breathtaking tropical islands close to New Zealand is called New Caledonia. The surroundings and experiences of New Caledonia are completely different from those found on the New Zealand mainland. It just takes two and a half hours to fly from Auckland to this tropical island. There is a white beach and crystal-blue water on this lovely island. Delicious meals and a European culture (French in particular) characterize New Caledonia.
4. Little Barrier Island: Established in 1896, the first nature reserve in New Zealand is located on Little Barrier Island. The preservation of the indigenous flora and wildlife depends critically on this island. Access to this stunning and significant island is very restricted. A unique certification issued by the Department of Conservation is required in order to visit Little Barrier Island. Following that, you will be able to board a car that is authorized to transport you to the island. The island known as "Little Barrier" lies 80 kilometres north of Auckland. It's the ideal location for bird viewing, diving, and snorkeling.
5. D’Urville Island: This island has the name of Jules Dumont d'Urville, a French explorer. Situated in the Marlborough Sounds, this breathtaking island.
