I finished watching New Game S2! I wasn’t expecting this season to make me cry so much!!! S2 dialed down on the gags and had many more emotional scenes! Kou and Aoba’s relationship continues to be the center of the story.

I loved how show explored the complexities of working alongside your idol. Both the good things and the disappointment of not being able to reach your idol’s level. Not only that but we also saw how Aoba influenced Kou not to stay complacent. It’s such a good relationship. The additional of the juniors was lovely as well since it shook up the usual cast dynamic.

My one complaint is some of the unnecessary fanservice scenes. Made me roll my eyes.
