Life-Saving Minecraft Tips that I almost never see anyone else using (am I just bad at the game...?)

Always carry a bucket of water in your hotbar, especially if you're going caving.

Keep a Warped Fungus handy when traversing the Nether. Hoglins can't attack you if you're standing near a Warped Fungus. I also like to keep a Flower Pot on me just in case I run into a pack of Hoglins somewhere I can't place the fungus directly on the ground.

Use potions. Idk if it's just the kinds of lets-players I watch or what, but I can't believe how many people are sleeping on these.

Night Vision for the Deep Dark (Nether Wart + Golden Carrot). Keeps you from waking up the Warden with a single careless torch placement, and also negates the Darkness effect if you activate a Shrieker.

Invisibility Potions for death runs back to your items (Night Vision Potion + Fermented Spider Eye)

Slow Falling for the Ender Dragon fight (Nether Wart + Phantom Membrane)

Fire Resistance negates like 85% of the danger in the Nether (Nether Wart + Magma Cream)

Adding some Redstone Dust to any potion will increase the duration of its effects to 8 minutes. Three max-duration potions will keep you covered for a little more than one full day-night cycle.

Wool blocks are soundproof (but carpets aren't 😕). Completely covering a Skulk Sensor or Chest with wool blocks before interacting with it will prevent chain reactions from other Sensors.

Set up a safe base with a bed at world spawn (usually around coordinates 0, 0) so that you don't have to sprint buck naked through the night if you lose your respawn point.

I actually like to put my main base near world spawn because I easily get disoriented when trying to navigate by coordinates alone, and it's much simpler for me to just follow a Compass back home (I think that's an exclusive-to-Niki problem tho. I've never heard of anyone else wanting to do this 😅).

This is only tangentially related, but I can remember a time when Zombies dropped Feathers instead of Rotten Flesh. You'd think I wouldn't die so often, having played this game for almost 13 years...

Pearl: I mean, good for Scott I guess. The IOU didn't bite him in the back area as much as it could have.

Martyn: Who let those two do that?!? ...wait... Were they teamed up with anyone Scott?

Scott: They were...? Why do you want to know so much? Why did you take it so personally... It's litterally just nether wart... you know?

Pearl: I am bit curious as well Scott... Who is this mysterious secret third ally?

Scott: They were in an alliance...with...uhhhh... Last Life Martyn... I think? They definitely are allied later on in the game but I don't know for sure if that happened yet actually- Martyn?

I'll describe their personalities here in case you guys need them (their my headcannons so uhh yeah):

Yellow: The smart one (aka the nerd-). He's good at problem solving and is a quick learner. He loves listening to music. He's really good with redstone and technology too!

Blue: He's a chef and LOVES to cook! He mostly makes things for his friends and attempts to try to teach them! They do end up failing though- and he's kinda (VERY) addicted to Nether Warts and will do anything to get them.

Green: He has his own YouTube channel! He likes to record and make videos for others to watch. He mostly has his friends in all his videos. He's also really good with Note Blocks. For some reason (in his imaginary cartoon pocket) he always carries around a fishing rod.

Orange (or TSC idk how he's known as): He's the bravest of the bunch. He's also very adventurous and loves to explore! He's also very empathetic and will forgive anyone (mostly).

Red: Red is more aggressive and playful than the others. He's also a bit impulsive.. He gets mad easily, so he technically has anger issues. He also LOVES to prank people. He's also very mischievous.

Technoblade secret achievement ideas (Minecraft obvi)

okay, because of Techno's newest video of what imma just call lost footage, I thought of some ways that Minecraft could put in secret achievements to honor him.

So, if you work at Mojang or know someone who does, just causally bring this into the conversation (don't say you found it on a Tumblr post)

Techo capes. Preferably free or if you get one/all of the achievements below.

Naming a pig Techo/PigKing will get you a secret achievement and attacking it will cause it to PvP you (you will die). And on the death screen say something like 'Blood for the Blood God' (also counts for piglins and brutes)

Naming an entity 'Lukas' will cause it to immediately die. Death message will say, "Lukas died from being Lukas" or something similar.

Naming a baby Villager "Orphan" will cause two random adult Villigers to die. When "Orphan" grows up, no matter the job you give it, will have op trades.

Making a shrine to the Blood God (How you summon the wither except pig/piglin heads and Nether Wart Blocks) will give you Strength, Absorbtion, Health Boost, Instant Health, Luck, Night Vision, Regeneration, Resistance, Blood Lust, and Speed.

New affect called "Blood Lust" that outlines all mobs in red. Last until you kill 10 peaceful mobs or 5 hostile mobs.

Typing 'Technoblade never dies' into chat will give all pigs around you (including piglins and brutes) his crown (and cape if they are a Brute/Piglin).

Okay that's all I got feel free to edit or combine ideas. I realize that the effect is basically just what the Spector arrows do, but I did try and give it a bit of a twist.

i have SO many thoughts about etho's build so far. oh my god. etho talks briefly about his choice of main building blocks in his video & talks a little about color theory but i want to reallly take a microscope to this because its like. insane. zoom in on this shit. LOOK AT IT. this is such an amazing display of color theory and just aauughgUHGUFCVB

this build is like. insanely colorful. there's two different shades of blue (three if you count water), two different shades of red, two shades of brown, there's bright green, there's even two shades of pink??? like if i just listed off the blocks that etho had used for this build you'd go "huh. i think that's two completely separate palettes just smushed together." but then you LOOK AT IT in action and it all works.

every color is, to some degree, everywhere. you've got the white terracotta acting as a really muted pink in the walls, the mangrove beams braced with spruce, warped planks for the roof; and then you've also got the bright red in the nether wart and the sweet berries and bright green in the gardens and blue in the pitcher plants, and the warped planks in the pond w the coral and lily pads??? there is not a single area of this build not jam-packed with color and detail and its SO FUCKING COOL.

you can really, really tell that he learned a lot about color theory when he was building the monstrosity and how to detail and it's all on show here and its so pretty. like seriously.

also can we please give etho a round of applause for building (the start of) a roof. good job man i know that's hard

AVA-M Early Bird: Trip to Nether

Part one

[POV of TSC]

Pain

Pain

Pain

Pain is what they feel when they slowly woke up from their restless night sleep.

Orange eyes blinks at the ceiling as the dull pain shoots through their body.

With a soft groan, The Second Coming; or TSC begins to push their body up, wincing at each stabs of pain he feels.

They sighed heavily as they finally sits up. Then they, with caution, swing their legs off the bed and stands up.

They nearly lost their balance for a moment as a sharp feeling of knife stabs on their legs. They stay still for a minute before slowly making their way toward the chest.

As they reached the chest, they lifted the lid up and looked inside the chest. Finding a small bottle with pink liquid inside among the empty bottles, they grabbed it, popped the cork open and drink the liquid from the bottle.

As they drinks it, a sensation of warm water washed over them as the feeling of dull pains that was replaced with a tinge of soothing relief. Almost like going to the spa and getting a full treatment.

…not that TSC knows what is a spa. But they guess it is a good thing, from what he reads from the search engine website.

As they are done with the bottle, they look down at the chest that is filled with empty bottles. Then, they look at the now empty bottle in their hands.

��Mmm, I guess I should make more of these regeneration potions.” They muttered as they kneel down to the ground and begin to gather the bottles out of the chest.

With an armful of the empty bottles, they turned and walked towards the workstation by the bed.

The workstation contained of the table-like block with various tools and the 3x3 grid on the top of the block. Next to the crafting table, another table contains of two stands with orange-red rods and a cauldron in between two stands. Next to the tables of two stands is another chest but much bigger than the previous chest.

TSC puts the empty bottles on the table with two stands and moves over to the big chest, lifting the lid open.

They pulls out the jars of multiple frozen grayish drops. As they reaches into the chest, they pauses as they realize that they cannot find the other ingredient they need.

“Oh, you got to kidding me. I’m out of nether warts?” TSC groaned as they placed the jar next to the bottles. They then shut the lids close and turned around to make their way out of their bedroom.

“Hopefully, Blue don’t mind if I borrowed some nether warts from her.”

As they stepped out of their room, they can hear the sizzling noise of meats being cooked and the tune of retro music playing in background. He can guess it is a music disc of Chirp.

“Oho, I guess Blue is cooking at the moment.” TSC said as they walked out of the front door.

They immediately spotted the blue stick figure making the cake while munching on the nether warts. They also can see the table, next to the kitchen station, with the bowls of cooked beef & chicken and melons.

“Good morning, Blue.” They called out to the blue-colored stick figure.

Blue peaked up at the sight of the orange Hollowhead stick figure walking towards her. “Oh! Good morning, Second! Sleep well?” She asked as she carried the cake to the table of foods.

“Hey, these look very delicious.” TSC commented as they eyed at the foods.

Blue smiled at TSC as she placed the cake down. “Thank you!”

“You planned to eat them all or…?” TSC inquired as they smirked at the blue stick figure while they leans over to her. “Are you going to eat nether warts, regardless of the amount of food you have here?”

Blue freeze up at TSC’s words before chuckles nervously.

TSC slowly shakes their head. “I’m getting concerned about your addiction to nether warts.”

Blue then frowns at TSC. “Hey, I’m not addicted to these nether warts. It’s not my fault that they taste… good…” Blue trailed off as she noticed TSC’s playful smirk.

Blue then sighed. “You’re teasing me.”

“Yes.” TSC snickered.

“Screw you.”

“That’s Yellow’s job, not mine.”

Blue immediately stammered out weak protests as TSC burst out laughing at Blue’s embarrassment.

Blue then crossed her arms and pouted at the laughing orange hollowhead figure.

“Sorry, Blue. I cannot resist.” TSC said as their laughter declined to light chuckles.

“What can I do for you, or are you only here to teasing me?” Blue asked as she turned to face her friend.

“Ah, yes. I was wondering if you have any nether warts you can spare for me? I’m somehow out of these warts while I was planning to make some more potions of regeneration.” TSC said as he scratched at their cheek.

“Already? You went through these potions a lot than other stick figures do in this desktop.” Blue said as she quirked an eyebrow. “And they’re getting too rough in their spars often.”

TSC winced at Blue’s accusation eyes. They knew that out of everyone on the desktop, they consumed the regeneration potions the most.

“I know. I’m sorry.” TSC muttered as they casted their eyes down.

Blue sighed as she then summoned the hotbar. “Sec, you need to tell me if there’s anything wrong with you. I know you have your reasons but this went on far too long.” She lightly scolded at the orange hollowhead figure.

TSC hummed softly as they averted their eyes from Blue.

“For now, I would give you some of my nether warts.” She said as she scrolled through the hotbar. “But next time if you run out of nether warts and you still need more of-“ Blue paused as she looked at her inventory.

TSC then looked at Blue, then at Blue’s inventory. “…Blue?”

“…” Blue stays silent as she hastily scrolls through her inventory once again.

She then went to the chest next to the makeshift stove. She opened the chest and rummaged through the chest, tossing few things out the chest.

As TSC watched Blue rummaged through the chest, something clicked in TSC’s mind.

“…You’re also out?” TSC says as they begin to feel exasperated by Blue’s actions.

“…” Blue stares down at the chest before pointing towards TSC. “No. Let me check at the soul sand blocks. There should be some growing at the moment.”

TSC stares at Blue for a moment before glancing over at the farm site.

“…Doubtful. These soul sands are barren of the nether warts.” TSC said dryly.

Blue’s eyes widened as she whipped around to see the soul sand blocks are indeed empty.

“What?! No! I swear there are some!” Blue exclaimed as she gestured towards the soul sand blocks.

TSC glanced back at the blue-colored figure. “Did you? Or did you happen to forget replanting them after you harvested them?” They asked in the same dry tone.

Blue stupidly blinked at TSC before looking down in devastating realization.

TSC, now exasperated with Blue, groaned out loud. “Blue!”

Blue wildly gestured at the air. “Well! I’m sorry for being distracted by my other tasks!”

TSC sighed heavily as they covered their face with one clawed hand.

Blue stays quiet for a minute before asking, “do you really need to make these regeneration potions…?”

TSC then moves his hand down to their mouth as they look at her. “I used the last of mine recently.”

“Oh. Well. Then, can we-“

“Blue. You know that we all agreed that we won’t use the Minecraft icon until it was absolutely necessary or for emergency reasons.”

Blue sighed softly. She glanced at the soul sand blocks for a moment before she blinked with a dawning realization.

“Wait. I remember that I got these warts from the time when Green and I went to the Nether for first time.” She said as she waved her hand around in a circle. “They grow in these fortress, I believe.”

TSC raised an eyebrow before understanding what Blue was saying.

“You want to go back to the Nether?” TSC asked in disbelief.

“Second, please-“ Blue pleaded.

“You want to go back to that hellish place? Don’t you remember what happened last time?” TSC said as they wildly gestured to their left.

“I know. I know you’re very worried. But it’s only the place that I do know where to find these warts!” Blue stand up, waved around as if to try to appease TSC’s worries.

“Blue-“ TSC begins before Blue immediately cuts them off.

“You can come with me!” Blue exclaims as she gestured to the orange figure. “You can come to keep me out of trouble. You wouldn’t let anything bad happen to us.”

TSC hesitated for a moment. “I don’t-“

“Come on, please? Second, please? With a cherry on top?” Blue then put her hands together in a pleading manner. “I promise to stay close to you! I won’t pick any fights with the mobs in the nether! Come on, please?”

TSC grumbles for a minute before sighing. “Fine. We will go to the Nether.” They then pointed at Blue. “Only for the warts! Not anything else! And we will take some precautions before we enter the netherworld!”

Blue fanatically nodded at TSC. “We will! We will!”

TSC paused before gesturing toward the mess. “Clean them up while I go to get the weapons and essential supplies to protect ourselves. And the materials for the portal.”

Blue glanced down at the items she carelessly tossed out of the chest. “Oh okay.”

Blue fidgets in her spot as TSC comes up on the window of the storage file.

“I said hi to Yellow and Green on the way.” TSC said as they held up the obsidian blocks. “They’re currently relaxing on the couch.”

Blue blinked at TSC. “And why are you telling me this?”

“Dunno. Thought you would be curious about what they’re up to before we’re leaving to Netherworld.” They said as they handed the blocks to Blue.

She takes the blocks in her hands as she tilts her head. “And why do you thinking that I am curious about their business?”

“…” TSC blankly stared at Blue.

“…” Blue stared back.

“…”

“…”

“…What about Red?” Blue sighed, defeated by her curiosity.

TSC grinned at the blue figure. “He’s out, tending to his animal friends.”

Blue nodded and turned around. She then placed the obsidian blocks down.

TSC then scrolled through his inventory for the flint n steel. Then they scrolled for the diamond swords.

Blue finished constructing the portal structure. TSC then handed the diamond sword to Blue which she gratefully accepted.

Then TSC held the flint n steel up. “You ready?”

Blue determinedly nods at TSC.

“Well, here goes nothing.” TSC said as he flicked the flint n steel at the bottom of the portal.

With a crackle and a loud whoosh, the portal structure lightened up with a familiar purple gateway.

Blue begins to go in before TSC stopped her.

“Allow me to go first.”

Blue looks at them before nodding. TSC then takes a hesitant step into the portal.

Okay, okay!

So…

In this AVA-M Early Bird AU, by so far I had drawn the comics that often taken the place before or after the episodes.

However! In this cover page, I did ask that how would it change the storyline of AVA-M if they are made aware of their own power.

Also, I did say that it would change a few things.

So, in the comics I had drawn only shows few things that had changed since TSC’s early awakening. These are tiny details that make small differences to the storyline.

However, in this fanfic, we’re getting one of many major differences in the AU.

Because of TSC’s chronic pain and they often depends on the regeneration potions for the temporary relief, they went to Blue for the nether warts and/or regeneration potions.

So, when they’re completely out of nether warts, they have to go back to the netherworld to get more of nether warts.

But this time, Blue isn’t alone in her trip to the netherworld. TSC is coming along with her.

And that’s the one of many differences between the original storyline and this au’s storyline.

I’m don’t really know much about AVA 😓 or much of the lore or anything tbh

I’ve watched some vids about it but that’s honestly all (plus i think that was like a year ago so i don’t really remember now)

so if you have the time can you tell me some stuff about it? I’d like to be into it tbh :3

Ooh, it’s so good! I’m not that good at explaining things, and this is just me yapping. Plus I don’t want to spoil anything too big-

Basically, it’s just a joy all these different colored stick figures’ (as you probably know) adventures.

They all have their own different personalities, even though they don’t talk at all! Despite that, their personalities show through their actions.

For example, there’s one with Green (one of the main stick figures) showing off a note block concert that he’s hosting. It’s just a lot of music with note blocks and stuff. Sadly, Green does get beaten up for some reason by a silverfish (and gang). Though this is mostly a short.

There’s also a sister series called Animation vs. Minecraft (my personal favorite) where basically, the Color Gang (which is The Second Coming, Blue, Yellow, Green, and Red) go to try and save Blue (who had gotten in trouble bc he wanted to get some Nether Warts to eat)

So the rest went to go find him and they just get into a lot of trouble with King Orange (or Mango) and Purple. They had to have this fight at the end and it’s so GAIGDHWJWHDWHUQB

Another Kirby themed ask (not drawing req):

How would the gang (CG + the other Hollow Head Brothers + Royal Trio [King, Purple and Gold]) react to Kirby and Second's friendship + maybe the rest of the Star Allies? And if they met the Star Allies, who would they befriend?

I’m assuming based on the “royal trio” you mean my good start au so I’m gonna be basing off of that first. In my good start au: first thing happening is a fam v fam spar. Dream Team vs the Hollow Sibs. There is NO way Chosen and Dark are seeing how strong they are together and letting them leave without a fight. I also think Firstborn would enjoy Bandana Dee’s company a lot, since they both lack powers and have to rely on tools and weapons.

And for the Star Allies… Daroach and Dark Lord easy. Dark Lord doesn’t understand the style thing, but they would be fun partners in crime. Susie would fucking hate the Dark Lord despite his knowledge in technology, purely because of his habit of making malware and viruses for fun even if they are harmless. Chosen One would like King Dedede and Meta Knight, both are extremely strong and fun to fight with.

Second would get along with most characters I feel, but especially Adeleine. He’d take her to the desktop so fast and show her Adobe Animate. They’d spend hours drawing together with Kirby scribbling in the corner.

I feel like a lot of the Star Allies would be surprised about how nonchalant Red is about possession, especially when finding out that the dude who possessed him twice is his teacher now. Green would gravitate towards Magolor, they would toss around various concepts and plans for mega builds, Yellow would talk code and technology would Susie and would have so much fun introducing her to the staff and command blocks. Red would adore Elfilin and the animal friends. And Blue would introduce nether wart to Kirby and have SO much fun cooking for him

As for Second and Kirby’s friendship, I feel like nobody would be surprised bkhfkdhdkd

I also just want to add: Susie and canon victim would be a crazy duo
