what goes into being a mod for this blog? what sort of tasks do you do? hope this question isn't silly, i just want a better idea of how it works before putting in an application.

Not silly at all! I will go more in-depth on these if you put in the application (I ask for tumblr usernames so I can dm you, and from there go more in-depth on processes), but generally, I have a system to it. The most crucial things are that I look at the queue, answer asks, and organize my Block Doc. Checking the queue first, I generally make sure there is/has been a block posted that day. If not, making a post for a block takes first priority. Then I look at the askbox, delete unnecessary asks, and check which requests I can't fill and answer those first. Then I fill whatever requests I can and make sure at least a couple weeks - a months worth of blocks are in queue. That's it mostly!
