I interpret this as Vergil remembered who he was for a second and realized he was about to kill Dante so he got him out of the way. He didn’t want to hurt his brother :( he always cared even if he doesn’t show it.

Bookmark Concepts
Been cooking these for a while now, basically it's first appearance vs last appearance in game. So it's Dante 1 and Nelo Angelo
Tried to add little things about both twins stories on the bookmarks, like Vergil is chained to his never ending hunt for power where as Dante is chained to his love for humanity and the love for his family.
Had fun making these, might make some other series into bookmarks lemmie know (I'm thinkin trimax vs stampede would be a good new set of them)
