why is there a popular text post going around about the analysis of horror movies from someone who openly admits they dislike horror and also movies

Okay so I watched Nekromantik (1987) and as far as "disturbing movies iceberg" films go, this wasn't as fucked up as I was expecting. Obviously the concept is pretty out there but I've seen worse from more mainstream stuff.

I do feel like I didn't quite.... get it. Like there's obviously something going on with the concept of being sexually aroused by death, that's clear at the beginning and end, but the whole middle act doesn't really make sense to me. And what's the deal with the rabbit?

Also I couldn't really be creeped out by the first half because the idea of "What if you brought a corpse home for your wife to fuck and she ends up leaving you for the corpse because it's so much better in bed" is just really fucking funny.

Anyway, I definitely have some thoughts. Not coherent or constructive ones, but definitely thoughts. What an odd little movie.
