Imma be honest with you guys, at the beginning I didn't like the new series of Scott Pilgrim, I literally spent all episode 2 ranting about how the story didn't go like that to my mom (I'm not really into changes, specially of things I've known for years), but I decided to power through.
Turns out it was simply amazing! The animations, the new angle of the story, the stories behind the exes, it was wonderful. By the end of episode 3 I was already over the change and was just excited to see what will happen next.
I loved that we could finally see the other side of the evil exes. Ramona did say some of them weren't evil at the time she dated them, but turned to the dark side after her. It was interesting seeing how having Ramona in their lives changed some of them.
I have to give it to the producers, they made a great move with the sneak peeks, making us all belive it was going to be about Scott and then going like BOOM! IT'S NOT! Like, real good move, I totally didn't see it coming.
BTW, we should have seen it coming, I mean, the title is "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off"

When Spidey Jumped the Shark, Pt. 6: The Denny O’Neil Era
Examining the #DennyONeil Era of #SpiderMan here.
We’re calling it the Denny O’Neil Era of Spider-Man, which it is, but it’s also the stealth beginning of the Roger Stern Era. Continue reading Untitled

Hueytown Headlines
November 20, 1977
Onitario, Calfornia
I made a watercolor painting of Neil Bonnett's victory over Richard Petty in the 1977 Los Angeles Times 500 at Onitario Motorspeed Way; After finishing my painting I decided to combine it with the footage that helped inspire it.

I'm opinionated about things I don't even really know. I've never really read any comics past the 60s and some of the 70s, but I have writers whom I hate just based on their story concepts. Same with movies too sometimes. I'm like with a lot of things, safe to say. It's not great, but I guess there's worse habits. Some highlighted comic authors I hate:
• Gerry Conway, for creating The Punisher, killing Gwen Stacy, and much more. His work on Daredevil also doesn't sound that good.
• Alan Moore, for being too dark and gloomy. I despise Watchmen because it sounds so depressing.
• Neil Gaiman, whom I hate for ruining my childhood with a movie I refuse to name because it still haunts me. if I were a superhero, Neil Gaiman would be my archnemesis. I hate this man with a burning passion.
So there's three I dislike. I could be persuaded to dislike more, if I read story summaries and found I hated their plots.

I will one day make proper posts for all these, maybe, but for now:
Lucky Moth's civilian name is Petra Parker. Arachne's is Wren Stacy.
Moth & Arachne have a 3rd friend who turns into a villain. He gets redeemed/reformed tho and lives with Ozzie & Neil.
Neil is now a sort of Fae. His backstory remains the same, just add the fact that he was kidnapped or something idk I'll have to look at it again.
I have recently rewatched S1 of this show (wtf does d//c put in their shows that make them so damn good/addicting), and thus I'm fixating HARD on Benji (aka this baby). I just. I really like him, okay?! But in MaaC Benji is Bryce William adopted son & Agent Owl's sidekick, Sparrow. Since he's my main focus a lot is going on with him rn but I just wanted to make note of it.
I really want to add a reporter character, bc I feel like they're a staple of the superhero genre. Like. You can't have a story without one. I'm thinking two: an older, more experienced one & an intern. They're kind of a duo kind of not. Most villains in Prism Pulse choose their own aliases, but some are named by the news/media, aka those two journalists.
I ALSO wanna add a speedster. Again, I feel like its a common superhero type. We already have a 🦇man rip off, why not make one off of this dude? Or his sidekick. Just...speedsters.
Kind of adding onto the point above, but now I ship Benji with the Canon Speedster Sidekick. So. They're a couple in MaaC. They have a daughter, no civilian name yet but her alias is TimeWarp. She's also a hero yeha.
