#Negative Traits Of Each Zodiac Sign

Do you conlang? I was wondering if you had naming languages (or possibly even more developed ones) for pulling the words you use. I tried to search your blog but didn't find anything, wouldn't be surprised if the feature is just busted tho. Your worldbuilding is wonderful and I particularly enjoy the anthropological and linguistic elements.

Ok the thing is I had kind of decided I was not going to do any conlanging because I don't feel like I'm equipped to do a good job of it, like was fully like "I'm just going to do JUST enough that it doesn't fail an immediate sniff test and is more thoughtful than just keysmashing and putting in vowels". And then have kinda been conlanging anyway (though not to a very deep and serious extent. I maybe have like....an above average comprehension of how language construction works via willingness to research, but that's not saying much, also I can never remember the meanings of most linguistic terms like 'frictives' or etc off the top of my head. I'm just kinda raw dogging it with a vague conceptualization of what these things mean)

I do at least have a naming language for Wardi (and more basic rules for other established languages) but the rudimentary forms of it were devised with methods much shakier and less linguistically viable than even the most basic naming language schemes, and I only went back over it LONG after I had already made a bunch of words so there's some inconsistencies with consonant presence and usage. (This can at least be justified because it IS a language that would have a lot of loanwords and would be heavily influenced by other language groups- Burri being by far the most significant, Highland-Finnic and Yuroma-Lowlands also being large contributors)

The 'method' I used was:

-Skip basic construction elements and fully move into devising necessary name words, with at least a Vibe of what consonants are going to be common and how pronunciation works -Identify some roots out of the established words and their meanings. Establish an ongoing glossary of known roots/words. -Construct new words based in root words, or as obvious extensions/variants of established words. -Get really involved in how the literal meanings of some words might not translate properly to english, mostly use this to produce a glossary of in-universe slang. -Realize that I probably should have at least some very basic internal consistency at this point. -Google search tutorials on writing a naming language. -Reverse engineer a naming language out of established words, and ascribe all remaining inconsistencies to being loanwords or just the mysteries of life or whatever.

I do at least have some strongly established pronunciation rules and a sense of broad regional dialect/accents.

-'ai' words are almost always pronounced with a long 'aye' sound.

-There is no 'Z' or 'X' sound, a Wardi speaker pronouncing 'zebra' would go for 'tsee-brah', and would attempt 'xylophone' as 'ssye-lohp-hon'

-'V' sounds are nearly absent and occur only in loanwords, and tend to be pronounced with a 'W' sound. 'Virsum' is a Highland word (pronounced 'veer-soom') denoting ancestry, a Wardi speaker would go 'weer-sum'.

-'Ch' spellings almost always imply a soft 'chuh' sound when appearing after an E, I, or O (pelatoche= pel-ah-toh-chey), but a hard 'kh' sound after an A or U (odomache= oh-doh-mah-khe). When at the start of a word, it's usually a soft 'ch' unless followed by an 'i' sound (chin (dog) is pronounced with a hard K 'khiin', cholem (salt) is pronounced with a soft Ch 'cho-lehm')

-Western Wardin has strong Burri cultural and linguistic influence, and a distinct accent- one of the most pronounced differences is use of the ñ sound in 'nn' words. The western city of Ephennos is pronounced 'ey-fey-nyos' by most residents, the southeastern city of Erubinnos is pronounced 'eh-roo-been-nos' by most residents. Palo's surname 'Apolynnon' is pronounced 'A-puh-lee-nyon' in the Burri and western Wardi dialects (which is the 'proper' pronunciation, given that it's a Kos name), but will generally be spoken as 'Ah-poh-leen-non' in the south and east.

-R's are rolled in Highland-Finnic words. Rolling R's is common in far northern rural Wardi dialects but no others. Most urban Wardi speakers consider rolling R's sort of a hick thing, and often think it sounds stupid or at least uneducated. (Brakul's name should be pronounced with a brief rolled 'r', short 'ah' and long 'uul', but is generally being pronounced by his south-southeastern compatriots with a long unrolled 'Brah' sound).

Anyway not really a sturdy construction that will hold up to the scrutiny of someone well equipped for linguistics but not pure bullshit either.

How to give Zodiac Signs to Sims

Four ways to add zodiac signs to Sims:

1) Auto-assign Zodiac Signs based on Seasons/ randomly when a Newborn Baby aging up to an Infant

2) Assign Zodiac Signs based on a Sim's personality (vary greatly) (located in Action menu, Child+)

3) Pick Zodiac Signs in GAMEPLAY mode (located in Action menu, All Ages)

4) Manually Add Zodiac Sign in CAS mode with Addon (Child+)

When you click on Randomize Likes and Dislikes in CAS mode, it will generate one Zodiac Sign. It won't be saved after you exit CAS mode if you have already picked Zodiac Sign for your Sim.

With chingyu_addon_ZodiacSignAutoSwitchVersion installed, it will auto-turn the infant/toddler version into the child+ version when a Toddler Sim aging up to a Child.

Background and Family

Gwendolen Eira Hughes was born on April 26th, 1875, in Swansea, South Wales, to a mother and father of unknown wizard of heritage. The details of her past are unsure; a carriage accident in her childhood tragically took the lives of her parents and left her with amnesia, leaving doctors and police with only documents to help piece her identity together. Her mother was an English woman named Alice Hedera while her father, Meilyr Hughes, was Welsh. After the accident, Gwen was placed in a Catholic convent where she was given an education but subjected to verbal, mental, and occasionally physical abuse. As she grew older, the convent began placing her into homes with the hope of adopting her out but she was returned each time due to her “poor behavior” and attitude. One of the families she lived with, the Trahernes, began physically abusing her which caused her magic to emerge. In a fit of anger, she caused ivy to grow throughout the entire house, damaging it and leaving the Trahernes with painful rashes. She was promptly returned to the convent and shortly after was visited by Professor Eleazar Fig.

After the events of Repository battle, Gwen’s mental health took a steep decline. The guilt and trauma she felt regarding the deaths of Professor Fig, Lodgok, and many more became too much to bear. She isolated herself within the Room of Requirement until Professor Matilda Weasley coaxed her out and comforted her during the last semester of the school year. After some consideration, Professor Weasley offered to become Gwen’s legal guardian so that she did not have to return to the convent. Gwen was initially hesitant to accept the offer, on account of her previous experiences living with adoptive families, but she eventually accepted after some convincing from Ominis Gaunt. It took a while for both of them to adjust to their new roles; Weasley did not want to overstep her boundaries but also wanted to make sure Gwen was being taken care of and provided for. Gwen kept Professor Weasley at arms length, waiting for the day it became too much and she would give up on her. But with time Gwen came to view Professor Weasley in a more maternal light (the feeling was mutual on Matilda’s end).

Callan was born on December 31st, 1984 to Caelan and Alessia Gaunt. He is the 2nd oldest of four children. During his childhood, Alessia was caring for the first few years of his life, but once he began to get older, she started caring less and less. As far as she was concerned, her relationship with her children was to just bring them into this world, teach them her values and views, and keep them trapped in them. She truly only ever cared about herself and her power in her relationship with her husband. Callan also had a strained relationship with his father. When his cousin, Ominis, was tortured by his own family at a young age, Callan heard about this and strongly disagreed, pained to see his favorite cousin get hurt.

Caelan quickly got upset at the boy and told him it was a fitting punishment for Ominis' disobedience. Once Callan disagreed, Caelan slashed his son on the face with a razor, giving him a scar he'd carry on his face forever. And that was the beginning of Cal's crumbling relationship with his father and family in general.

Cal spends most of his time at Hogwarts, planning to stay away from his family and to get far away from them one day. This also includes getting his girlfriend, Val, away from her family as well. All he wants to do is live in peace and happiness away from those who seek to hurt him and his loved ones.

If you ever need a friend who has always got your back, a Cancer is the right one for the job! Natives of Cancer placements are naturally quite protective, caring and observant people, wanting to nurture the things they care about. When you first meet a Cancer, it may be a somewhat awkward or comforting energy as they tend to be shy when first meeting people, but once they open up and show you who they are that is when you know a Cancer trusts you. However, as strong a Cancer may come across - when threatened by something which they view as having lots of control over them they may hide away and become extremely passive, looking for ways to escape. At first they may bottle things up, but if it brews long enough then comes resentment, bitterness, saltiness and it needs to be let out. This can cause a Cancer to act out in anger or upset, maybe become somewhat self-absorbed in the way they view things because it just feels like "no one gets it". Sometimes instead of acting out, they may become passive aggressive instead and continue harbouring resentment. Unless this placement learns healthy communication and has a mode to express themselves, it is possible for these negative emotions to become a cycle.

When a Cancer placement finally feels supported, validated, understood and like they are being nurtured they form an attachment and become a lot more confident, wanting to share themselves with the world. In some cases, this may breed some kind of codependency or over-reliance and this placement may forget to nurture their other responsibilities and interests.

HOW TO DETERMINE THE EFFECTS OF A PLANET IN A VEDIC HOROSCOPE

In Vedic astrology (Jyotish), astrologers determine the effects of planets based on their position in a person’s horoscope (or birth chart) by analyzing several key factors :

1. Planetary Position in the Zodiac Signs (Rashi)

Each planet is placed in a specific zodiac sign at the time of birth. The 12 zodiac signs are ruled by different planets, and each planet behaves differently in each sign. The effect of a planet is influenced by whether it is:

Exalted: A planet is in its strongest position in certain signs. For example, the Sun is exalted in Aries, and Venus in Pisces.

Debilitated: A planet is weakened in certain signs. For instance, the Sun is debilitated in Libra, and Venus in Virgo.

Own Sign: When a planet is in a sign it rules, it becomes stronger and comfortable (e.g., Mars in Aries or Scorpio).

Neutral or Enemy Sign: The effects are moderated or challenging if the planet is in a sign ruled by an enemy or neutral planet.

2. House Placement (Bhava)

Noelia Simone Richardson is the first and only daughter, and child, of Estefania Lopez and Omar Richardson, two fairly young, (23, and 25, respectively) and in love newlyweds.  They lived in a modest and comfortable home in the Lakeside neighborhood of Woodside, but about three years into their marriage, they filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. 

Elia was too young to know what was going on truly, but she did know that while she and her mother got to live in their home, their father got himself a two-bedroom apartment close by, and she was spending her time between those two homes. Her parents never showed any animosity between each other, and managed to co-parent her lovingly, a true team.  

Her father worked in construction, and her mother, as a nurse, so while she didn’t live a luxurious lifestyle, she had everything she needed.

Elia was a force of nature, vibrant, talkative and outgoing. She would put on shows for her entire family at every holiday or party.      When she was older, this behavior translated to her being both a cheerleader and a theater kid. what is the wardi zodiac system like? what's the worst and best signs, and how seriously do people take the stars youre born under?

The Wardi zodiac is a very direct interpretation of each constellation the sun passes through in its ecliptic over the course of the year. There is no attempt to divide these signs evenly throughout the year (as in the western zodiac), rather every single constellation the sun passes has its own zodiac sign (ie the sun only passes the tail of the Lion for about a week of the year, while the sun takes about a month to pass through the entirety of the Gull, making the former a significantly less common sign than the latter).

As such, there are 20 astrological signs in the base system (all of which are animals). Seven of the base signs correlate directly with the seven Faces of God (the zodiac system actually predated this religion, and some preexisting signs may have been retroactively modified to fit). All of these seven signs are considered auspicious and highly positive (though still ascribed some negative personality traits), and are seen as uniquely blessed by their respective Face.

One’s zodiac sign is assumed to be highly informative of their nature and personality. One’s birthsign is described as ‘(constellation)-born’, and the personality associated gains an epithet of ‘(constellation)-faced’. IE: Someone born under the sign of the ox is Ganops (ox-born), to have the personality associated is to be Ganmachen (ox-faced).

The faces associated with the birthsigns may be used as complimentary epithets in speech and verse when the sign is considered auspicious (ie “Lion-faced Faiza”/“Faiza odomachen”), or used disparagingly, especially “dog-faced” (chinmachen), a fairly common insult that describes someone as vicious and lowly.

A birthsign is taken very seriously within the Imperial Wardi cultural sphere, but does not necessarily have fundamental impact upon the average person's daily life. Lion: An auspicious sign. Considered to have excellent leadership qualities, a heroic and regal disposition, mental acuity, and blessed with natural talent as warriors. They may be overly proud and domineering, aggressive. The constellation is seen as a maned lion mid-stride.

Alright so like

a couple of weeks ago I got curious to figure out ran's birthday and so after being told that it is unknown, I set out on a mission to figure it out myself using birthstones and astrology. Allow me to explain my line of logic:

Tropical vs Sidereal Signs : How They Tie Into The Stereotypes

Hey guys! I've noticed that each zodiac sign has traits relating to the sign before it and I think this is what ties the two together and why our sidereal signs can feel so relatable/make more sense, and more importantly, why all of the zodiac signs have the stereotypes that they do.

How To CHEER UP the Zodiac Signs

Everyone has off days. It helps to have friends who are there to get you back on your feet. 

But how should they go about it? 

Let’s take a look at how to cheer up each zodiac sign.

Aries

Aries would perk up if they were genuinely listened to.

Unfortunately, Aries tend to be brushed off when they are upset. Everyone around them is used to Aries being an enthusiastic go-getter. So, when Aries isn’t so up for a challenge, it rubs everyone the wrong way.
