when she first heard the demo, she didn’t think it’d be her favorite song ever 😭 but she ended up really liking it!

🧸 MARK — SOOLEE

you can always see the two of them harassing one another (mainly sooyoung bullying mark) and other times it’s just mark being embarrassed by sooyoung’s antics (and embarrassed he followed along) mark always blames sooyoung for being a “bad influence”, sooyoung blames mark for being a follower 🤷🏼‍♀️. mark can really bring out her sassy side and her soft side all at once <3 whenever the two of them are alone, mark likes to just talk to sooyoung about anything, he loves to just listen to her ramble. he will always protect her, and always ignores sooyoung when she says “you don’t need to worry, im all grown up!” 💔.

mark is a blessing and a curse to sooyoung. when sooyoung is feeling really anxious in situations, mark’s random and awkward jokes that make no sense always make her feel better. she loves hearing him trying to give good advice without knowing what he’s talking about, it makes her feel more confident in herself to let her irrational thoughts go. but, at the same time, when her and mark spend hours rambling, sometimes mark can go too deep in wondering and send sooyoung into a rabbit hole of stress. he always makes it up to her and talks her out of if <3.

a special moment nctzens adore :: *dream was vlogging in the US during their tour* sooyoung was attempting to order her own meal by herself, and mark was so supportive towards her! he gave her a big smile and thumbs up, lovingly pinching her cheek. off - camera, mark gave her the biggest hug known to earth!

🧸 RENJUN — SOOJUN

sooyoung ADORES renjun. she loves his controlled / quiet chaotic personality and how he can make her smile without having to say a thing. she loves loves to just spend one on one time with him just be present in the moment. when they are alone together, it’s just a mix of them being quiet and relaxing, and them sooyoung trying to get renjun to do something with her. for example, sooyoung was begging renjun to go grocery shopping with her FOR HOURS, just because she didn’t want to go alone. renjun was being so stubborn, but he eventually agreed because sooyoung looked so sad when he told her no for the 1021819 time. he is a sucker for sooyoung, and she knows it.

sooyoung and renjun are super close though! they love to take walks together or paint together, anything that can relax them and allow them to decompress. sooyoung loves loves to hug renjun and he pretends like he is only tolerating it but…his favorite hugs always come from sooyoung! but don’t let his softness for soo fool you, he WILL harass her just like he would anyone else, and his patience with her is CONSTANTLY being tested 😭

a special moment nctzens adore :: dream was behind the scenes of a photo shoot, and SOMEHOW sooyoung had retrieved a bubble wand, and was skipping around blowing bubbles near all of the members - renjun especially. everytime she came near him he kept giving her the side eye, and kept trying to take the bubble wand away, but to no avail. this girl had a death grip 💪💪. so, like most friends would, renjun CHASED HER until she dropped and let go 😭😭

“AHHH RENJUN IS COMING TO GET ME!! SOMEONE HELP!!!” …. “ARE YOU ALL REALLY GOING TO ABANDON ME?!?”

rather than tackling her, renjun just wrapped her in a hug and lifted her off the ground and carried her back to the backstage, plopping her onto a chair and telling her to “stay” like she was a puppy 😭. minutes later you could see sooyoung laying her head on his shoulder watching him play games 🥺

🧸 JENO — SONO

THE CATS OF DREAM!!! jeno is the black cat while sooyoung is the hyper orange cat…jeno watches in the distance while sooyoung inevitably creates chaos…then joins in. he always has a protective arm around her, especially in public. he is always worrying about sooyoung, if she’s feeling okay, if people are being creepy, or if she’s going to get hurt.

he will always make sure he walks behind her when they are leaving, ensuring that no one harassing sooyoung. he always holds her heels for her when her feet hurt, and even carries her down the stairs when she doesn’t feel confident in her pumps. he is sooyoung’s #1 defender…don’t mess with his demonic bestie.

a special moment nctzens adore :: sooyoung was running around the house in a 8CHILLIN episode, and you could just hear jeno repeatedly yell “you’re going to fall, sooyoung” or “YAH! SOOYOUNG!” … and when she finally slipped, jeno was the first to her side. he cradled her head, worried that she cracked it open, but only sighed when he saw the girl stifling her giggles. “oh sooyoungie…what am i going to do with you.”

🧸 HAECHAN — SOOHYUCK

haechan is constantly doting on sooyoung and sooyoung EATS IT UPPPP. she lovessss affection (platonically) and never turns away from haechan when he’s trying to hug her…she just pushes him away when he tries to give her a cheek kiss 😭 despite haechan being older than sooyoung, haechan is 100% sooyoung’s baby. he will always call out for her or go “sooyoungieeeee, im hungry” and sooyoung will immediately go get him a snack. she loves loves to pat his head and sit next to him because he is just so WARMM. she always calls him her personal heat box 🥰 she will do anything for this boy, and she will always defend haechan even when he is clearly wrong 😭

the two of them together though when on reality shows…CHAOS. haechan and sooyoung will team up and sooyoung is all of the sudden ALL FUELED and ready to FIGHTT. haechan will encourage her and he LOVES to see sooyoung be super energetic and determined to win or do whatever the goal is…he acts like a proud dad around her constantly 😭 the two of them as pairs will leave everyone roasted…but it will be a great show!!!

a special moment nctzens adore :: dream was at a fan sign event where the building ridiculously cold…and poor sooyoung was dressed in a skirt and a thin shirt, our love was FREEZING. she couldn’t stop shivering and she just kept moving around the stage to keep herself warm. haechan, seeing that the stylist weren’t going to offer sooyoung anything to atleast be a little warm, took his sweatshirt off so sooyoung could wear it 🥺. he also demanded that sooyoung had a blanket to cover her legs when sitting - because yk, sm doesn’t care 🙄. he felt so bad, he held her hands until they were warm enough and didn’t complain when she clinged to him to stay warm 🥺

🧸 JAEMIN — SOOMIN

jaemin and sooyoung have a veryyy special bond! the two of them have always been super close, jaemin was the first nct dream member that sooyoung got close to - and their bond just got stronger and stronger!!! jaemin always says that sooyoung is his boost of energy, and there is soooo much evidence of this. whenever dream are playing games and jaemin gets tired, all he needs is sooyoung next to him and her big, energetic smile, and he is back in the game!

these two can communicate with only their eyes, nctzens swear. there are countless of threads of jaemin and sooyoung communicating silently…and always doing weird stuff after. sooyoung and jaemin spend the most time with each other…so they know everything. everything. the two of them are always gossiping and spilling tea about eachother on vlive…which always ends with them calling eachother and fake fighting 😭

a special moment nctzens adore :: jaemin and sooyoung are so thoughtful of each other, they always remember everything about each other, and love to suprise eachother with things that they’ve mentioned in passing. jaemin once saved up his money for months to buy sooyoung locket after their debut, because sooyoung had recently lost the one her brother gave her, and she was devastated. so, he bought her a new one, and placed his favorite picture of dream in it for her <3. she wears it so often, and she has never changed the photo.

🧸 CHENLE — SOONLE

01 LINERS!!! BESTIES!!! even though sooyoung and chenle are the same age - chenle was timid to approach her when they first met. sooyoung was so bubbly and energetic, and while he was too…he wasn’t used to working with one girl out of a group full of guys. he always over anaylyzed his interactions with her because he really wasn’t sure how he was feeling about the whole ordeal. but - sooyoung understood. she gave chenle time and eventually, chenle warmed up to her after he saw how lovely she was 🥰

the two of them together…NEXT LEVEL OF SASS. chenle will try and mess with sooyoung and be dramatic, but sooyoung will NOT TOLERATE IT. she will 100% COME FOR HIM. they will bicker about everything, but it’s all out of love!!! jaemin is always saying “NO FIGHTING, NO FIGHTING”….which leads to sooyoung and chenle fighting more just to mess with jaemin 😭

a special moment nctzens adore :: sooyoung had bought coffee for all of the members - and surprised them all when they were doing a group live! sooyoung had two coffee carriers, her dance bag, and was trying to somehow hold onto her food bag without dropping the coffees, and as soon as chenle saw sooyoung he hopped up and practically took everything from sooyoung, leaving her with only her food 🥺. he also gave up his seat on the couch to stand so sooyoung could sit and be cozy 🥺

🧸 JISUNG — SOOSUNG

sooyoung and jisung are getting into all sorts of trouble, although it’s less of them pulling pranks on others…more just like them having bad ideas and executing them. when they were trainees and they were able to spend time at dreams dorm, they were always pulling all nighters together, then complaining when jaemin dragged their butts out of bed 😭

they are also BOTH SO CLUMSY. the members always joke that they have to have constant supervision 😭😭. sooyoung also messes with jisung so much, she will convince him that random things are true - and he will 100% believe her 😭. sooyoung always feels bad when he starts telling other members and they are just like ?!?, so she eventually tells him the truth

a special moment nctzens adore :: sooyoung was vlogging for her relay cam, and sooyoung decided she was going to go in jisung’s room to bug him. she expected to find him sleeping because it was like three in the morning…but this man was still awake gaming. so, sooyoung sat next to him in his bed and watched him, making fun of him when he lost. eventually (after ten minutes) … sooyoung fell asleep and jisung had to take over the relay cam cuz this girl wouldn’t wake up 😭. but nctzens LOVED how jisung gently moved her so she was actually laying down and tucked her in.

“nctzens…i don’t know where i’m going to sleep now….i guess the floor now.” poor jisungie 😭

“the dorm days are over”

Living in the dorms was such a constant part of Bee’s life. It didn’t matter if they had back-to-back comebacks, solo activities, or even if the unit was on break, they always had a home to return to. Especially as someone who needed her own space, Bee had the room she had turned into her own little safe space over time, and she was not ready to say goodbye.

When the boys suddenly began discussing moving out into their own homes, she wasn’t the most thrilled about it, simply because she couldn’t imagine herself going through the decision-making process of visiting and picking an apartment for herself, and on top of that, having to go through all the moving work and trying to make another place feel like her own.

“I just think we live in a good apartment, and there isn’t much reason to try and change that” She calmly discussed one morning, while Jaemin cooked breakfast for the both of them.

“Well, technically this apartment isn’t ours, and if the owner wants to kick us out anytime, he’s fully capable of doing so. It’s the most reasonable thing to do. Individually, each of us can already afford to buy a condo, which in the future can become an investment, not to say it would be much more comfortable to live in a place you picked yourself. Not everyone who is our age can do that, I think it would be a waste of an opportunity to not go for it”

“I don’t think I would be comfortable living by myself. In fact, I would probably be a hazard to my own life” Holding onto the one thing he said that she disagreed with, Bee tried to make a point, though she knew Jaemin was probably right about the whole thing.

“Well, you don’t have to be by yourself. I don’t think all of us will move out to be alone, Renjun was thinking about sharing a place if anyone was up for it, you could go with him” The boy shrugged, unfazed by her arguing.

“So you’re telling me your plan is to just leave me out here alone and move out without bringing me along. You know I’m going to starve, don’t you?” Crossing her arms, Bee tilted her head as she noticed the small grin on his face.

“Maybe it’s time for you to do an online cooking course or something. The future I imagine only involves me, a bunch of cats, and a big ass couch”

Sighing, Bee rolled her eyes and dropped the subject with him, but she couldn’t stop thinking about it as the day went on. When she dropped by the studio during one of her breaks, the girl couldn’t help but complain to the 127 members around.

“It’s all your fault for dropping the dorm life and going into your own houses, now the boys think we need to do the same just because we have money” Jungwoo and Doyoung frowned, turning their attention to her, while Mark only laughed and squeezed her sides.

“Well, I didn’t go to my place just because I could afford it, you know. It was more of an investment rather than just blowing money for the sake of it” Doyoung chuckled at her rolling her eyes while he explained himself.

“Even if it’s just to flex, it’s a lot more comfortable living by your rules, it even makes our group moments more enjoyable since we’re not together all the time” Jungwoo shrugged and got up as the producer signalized for him to go into the booth

“And let’s be honest, the company doesn’t spend as much as we can on giving us a nice rental. You should come to check out the gym area in the condo I’m living in. Also, sharing a place with fewer people is a lot nicer than five dudes at once, sorry guys”

“Don’t be, our dorm was a mess, I don’t miss it either” Doyoung and Mark laughed reminiscing, while Bee readjusted herself on the couch the three were seated on. Hugging one leg, she groaned and rested her head on top of her knee.

“I don’t want to go out house hunting, having to face all my finances and the options, and deal with all that moving adult stuff”

“Just move in with me then” Mark casually stated, making a chill travel up Bee’s spine as she froze up. Chocking on air, Doyoung quickly got up and headed for the door, mumbling “I think someone’s calling me outside”

“What?” The boy giggled, confused at everyone’s sudden change of mood.

“I can’t just move in with you” Bee whispered, and thankfully to her, the producer ignored their conversation and kept going with Jungwoo’s recording.

“Why not? It would be so convenient, you wouldn’t have to choose a place, everything’s pretty much already figured out with electronics and utensils and all that adult crap, plus you’re used to being there already”

Rendered speechless, Bee thought for a minute before gasping “What about the fans?”

“What about them?” Mark smiled affectionately before turning serious and counting on his fingers, “Well, first, they don’t need to know we’ll be living together. Second, what’s so different between you sharing dorms with the boys, to sharing an apartment with me”

“You know very well the difference” The girl spoke the obvious, making him shrug.

“So, if that classified information happened to leak, we can just say we each have our separate rooms” Deciding to let go of his tensed-up girlfriend, Mark gave her a side hug and a kiss on the side of the head “Just think about it, okay? There’s no pressure to say yes, though I think it would be a nice option for you, and I would be happy if you agreed to. But also, I’m the happiest when you are, so take your time deciding”

Despite Mark giving her as much time as she needed, everyone else seemed to be moving at a lot faster pace. In just a few days, Bee was touring apartments with Renjun and Jisung, both of whom were open to being roommates for the time being.

“This one is actually really nice” Renjun commented while going through the kitchen. The real estate agent that came with them was just by the door getting a phone call, or at least pretending to, while letting the three idols talk about their last stop for the day.

“I think so too, the bedrooms and the living room are all pretty large” Jisung nodded, looking into the hallway “The only downside to it, it’s that there are only three rooms, but I’m willing to put that aside for the quality of the apartment”

“We wouldn’t be able to have guests, though. The boys would be fine since we’re used to sharing rooms and stuff. Although I don’t know about Renjun, if my parents came over from overseas I’d like to welcome them into my house”

“That’s what I was thinking too” Renjun sighed, leaning against the kitchen sink, “Having somewhere my family could stay and visit freely would be ideal”

“Still, this place is amazing” Bee looked around again, and the boys agreed with dreamy “Yes” “It really is”

“I think we should reflect, and just consider if we should go for it,” Renjun thought out loud just as the real estate agent stepped back into the conversation.

“About that, if you would like to keep this place, I suggest you decide as soon as possible. I know it’s not ideal, but there are more people interested, and the most I can guarantee you it’s until tomorrow night”

Feeling like their little bubbles had just cracked, the three thanked him and assured him they would keep in touch until the deadline.

Going down the elevator, Bee thought through about how everything could be slowly turning into place without her noticing it, and it seemed to her that there was one way of satisfying everyone’s wishes, which made it look easier to take the next step in her relationship with Mark.

“I kind of wish we hadn’t visited this one because it would make that one with four bedrooms from earlier a lot nicer looking” Jisung sighed as they crowded inside a taxi.

“Well, if we decide to not keep this one, we’ll have more time to look for another apartment that we like better” Renjun looked out of the window contemplating their options.

“Would you guys still go for this last one if I decided to step out?” Bee questioned from the middle, looking from side to side to watch their reactions.

Jisung frowned at her confused, while Renjun scoffed, “Yunhee, weren’t you the one begging us not to be left alone? Don’t panic yet, we can find a place that’ll fit all of us”

“I know we can, I’m just considering my options as you said. So like, if I were to take on another offer, it would solve the missing bedroom problem. Would you guys still want to keep this last apartment?”

“Is this a trick question?” Jisung asked exasperated.

“I’m being serious Jisungie, I was already considering this other thing before today, and know that there’s a place that would be great for you two, I’m almost certain you should take it without me”

“What the hell other offer is that? Can you just be open to us” Renjun groaned annoyed, and the girl shrugged, trying to sound casual to check for their reactions. “Mark asked if I wanted to move in with him”

Gasping, Jisung stared at her with judging eyes, “And you spent an entire day house-hunting with us after your boyfriend invited you to share an apartment with him?”

“He told me I could think about it” Bee mumbled at his outburst, though she was more worried about Renjun’s silence than the youngest’s annoyance. “Oppa, so what are you thinking?”

“That solves everything, doesn’t it?” Renjun smiled optimistically. “I’m kind of not ready to live with one less person, but still, everything would work out”

“It would. When we get home, I’ll confirm with Mark that everything is okay with him, and you guys can call the agent tomorrow morning”

“No need to worry, I’m calling him right now” Jisung beamed from her side just as his phone picked up the call “Mark Hyung, great news for me, not so great for you. Bee agrees to move in with you”

Just as the girl gets ready to punch Jisung’s arm, she listens to Mark’s excited “Really? Holy shit” and that makes her certain she made the right call.

“You good, Hans?”

Mark’s voice pulled Hannah back down to earth. As soon as he sat down next to her, she leaned into his side and glanced at Donghyuck, who stood a few steps away on the phone with Taeyong. She was the last of the three of them who’d be on the phone with him since they decided to go by age.

She groaned while pulling her hat down by the visor. Next to her, Mark was shuffling in his seat until he had his arm around her, lightly patting her shoulder.

“This isn’t fair,” she ran her hand down her face. “Is it so hard to say no to even just one event so we could have all come home yesterday?”

She could feel the 99-liner squeeze her shoulder, “You know how it is, Hans. Hyung knows, too.”

“We tried so hard,” she slumps further into his side, “and we don’t even get a glimpse of him in real life before he leaves!”

The two of them could only sit in silence after that. The three 127 maknaes had taken it upon themselves to rearrange their schedule in order to reach their leader’s send off, but they were beat.

That’s how they found themselves in Jeju.

The stress of trying to make it in time was something she didn’t think she’d ever go through. Months ago when their leader first told them he was enlisting, she thought she’d be right there with the rest of 127 (and maybe all of NCT) to send their leader off.

She didn’t expect to look at their managers’ itinerary only to find they wouldn’t even be in Korea on the day of.

“Hyung wants to know why his princess is pouting.”

“I’m not pouting,” Hannah looked up to glare at Donghyuck until she realized who was on the small screen looking at her. “Oppa!”

The older 00-liner snickered while handing her the phone and placing the bluetooth headphones over her ears. In her excitement to stand up, she elbowed Mark in the ribs.

“I gotta take this,” she jogged over to the isolated corner for a semblance of privacy then looked at the smiling man on the screen. “Boss! How are you? Are the oppas treating you okay? Did you get my present? Have you met any other people you’re entering with?”

“Calm down, Haeeunie,” Taeyong chuckled, “breathe. I’m alright, missing you kids. Everyone’s treating me the same, I haven’t really met anyone yet, and what present?”

A grin made its way to her face, “I snuck something into your backpack last week when I helped you pack some stuff.”

“I’m looking forward to it,” he smiled at her.

Seeing him smile pulled at something in her chest. She squeezed her eyes shut, slipping her sunglasses on. She did not want to cry in front of Taeyong, but it felt impossible to do. She went for the second best option: not letting him see.

“Hey,” Taeyong held his phone closer to his face so she could only see one of his eyes on the screen, “I want to see your face before I go.”

That did it. A tear escaped.

“Oh,” she sighed while taking off her hat and moving her sunglasses up her head to hold her hair back, “I hate that we’re not there with you!”

He gave her a sad smile once he held his phone at a normal angle again, “Don’t worry about it. We know how hard you three worked to get here, and I love you for it. You did everything you could, and that’s what matters, alright?”

“Alright,” her voice came out as a whisper. “I’m really sorry, Oppa.”

“Nothing to be sorry about, Haeeunie,” he reassured her. “I promise. And you know I don’t take my promises lightly, especially not with you.”

She bit her lip, nodding instead of talking. Talking would just make her cry harder. But Taeyong wasn’t done talking.

“You know what?” His tone brightened, “I’m going to make you another promise right now. After basic training, when I get my phone back, you’ll be the first person I call after my mom and my sister. Sound good?”

“Sounds great,” to her luck, her voice didn’t shake, “and I’ll have Hyuck and Markie with me.”

“Good, good,” Taeyong nodded.

Hannah smiled, “And you bet I’ll drop any schedule I have then and there and drag those two with me so we can talk to you.”

“Unfortunately, I don’t expect any less.”

“Unfortunately?”

“As your leader,” he shrugged with a mischievous smirk, “but, as one of your big brothers, I say have at it, Boss Lady.”

Laughs slipped past her lips, in time with his. “You better look out, oppa, because I’m planning on doing something to anger the company for not having the balls to reschedule or say no to one event.”

He grinned at her, “Can’t wait for you to tell me all about it. Don’t give your oppas too much grief.”

She was about to retort when a muffled voice caught Taeyong’s attention. His frown told her all she needed to know.

“How much time you got there?” she asked him.

“Not a lot,” he admitted, “but I’m gonna tell you what I need you to hear right now before I leave, okay?”

“Okay.”

“First of all,” he began, “it’s not your fault, okay? We can put the blame on the weather. Second, I miss you, and I’m going to miss you, but this’ll pass and either you’ll be able to visit me or I can go on leave. Watch over the boys, you know most of our brain cells rest in you. But also don’t forget to allow them to take care of you. I love you, Haeeunie, a lot.”

“I love you, too, Oppa,” she smiled at him, wiping away the tears that were starting to fall. “You stay safe. Don’t get sick, don’t get hurt.”

“I’ll try my best,” he nodded, “now go and get the other two with you so I can say bye to all of you!”

With a nod, she walked back to the two boys with her, sitting on Donghyuck’s lap and throwing her legs over Mark’s. She handed the phone to Mark, who turned the bluetooth off.

“You kids take care of each other,” Taeyong began with a smile. “I’ll see you when I see you. It won’t be too long.”

The three 127 maknaes said their goodbyes and watched as Taeyong clicked out of the call. They sat in silence for a few seconds, staring at the black screen.

That was it.

That was them sending their leader off. That was the first time they were sending off one of their big brothers, and this was how it ended.

“This isn’t fair,” she muttered, leaning her head on Donghyuck’s shoulder.

Her twin flame sighed, “It really isn’t.”

“It’ll be okay,” Mark gave her knee a squeeze. “Hyung knows we love him and that we’d do anything to be with him right know. He’ll be okay.”

"Yah, how could you still be handsome? That's not fair."

"Stop fighting guys. Hyung, we will miss you so much. Take care, okay?"

"I know Markie. Now I gotta go. Don't worry I'm gonna be back without you noticing anything."

Taeyong couldn't hold his laugh at Yena's flicking the boy's head.

"Lee Donghyuck , don't tease her too much. I love you guys. Take care of each other."

"Ah! By the way check your bags. I left something for you."

They ended the facetime and looked at each other.

Yena left the room without saying anything. She was curious about Taeyong's surprise. She seeked through her bag and found a paper that had her name on it.

a/n: but hi everyone !!! so sorry for literally disappearing from the face of the earth for almost a year (yikes!). when i first started writing and thinking up Charlee i had the time and energy to finally write something. but the more i wrote and the less i saw people actually engage in my work was extremely disheartening. it was a really hard thing to consider but i just couldn’t write without thinking of what people would think of my work (if they would even read it LOL). at that same time i started falling out of love with kpop and kpop content and so it made no sense to keep doing something i found no joy in doing. BUTTTT i finally gained that spark and started following NCT and RIIZE!! writing charlee and her story was one of my favorite things to do and i really missed it i think. so her story lives on!! and there’s someone on the way, coming very very soon 😉

First Meeting

“She was and is so-” (all the members start groaning, Chenle and Haechan start saying ‘la la la I can’t hear you’)

“-pretty” (Staff coo while all the members starts booing causing Jaemin to just smile wider)

It was right after the meeting to reveal that Charlotte would in fact join NCT dream

Charlotte was the last in the room, still trying to rack her brain. she was going to debut

Not just that she was going to debut in a boy group, all different things going on in her head

Jaemin had seen her around, in passing. They had not once said anything to each other though

“She was still bawling in the office and I felt so bad. I don’t even remember what I said exactly, but I remember comforting her.”

Jaemin had realized he hadn’t seen her and decided to go see where she was

He had just been put on hiatus for his back and had a feeling Charlotte was probably feeling horrible, she probably thought she was replacing him

When he came in she had her head in her hands and was sobbing. He quickly walked inside and closed the door, coughing slightly so she could hear him

She quickly tried to wipe her tears, before sniffing out “Sorry, I’ll get out soon…”

“No, no, You’re fine. I was actually looking for you,” He smiles softly. “I just wondered if you wanted to go and get some snacks with me?”

“Um, okay. Sure?”

Jaemin laughed a little and held his hand, taking hers and leading her to the nearest convenience store

During “Boom” it was obvious that Dream was going in a darker and more mature era

Slowly her clothes got short and tighter until she all she could do was place her hands around her to at least have a little modesty off stage

It was also when staff realized she was in fact the same height as multiple members, if not taller

When people would bring up her height, he often would often try to change the subject, knowing she was uncomfortable with talking about it

He was also silently helping her with her clothes

Covering her with blankets or towels during variety or awards shows. If nothing was around he would use his own jacket, not caring that he was going to get a earful from the stylists

One time, the camera man started zooming in on her. He immediately jumped into frame and started smiling and waving his finger ‘no’.

When Charlee finally notices the camera she waves and they both start joking around

she doesn’t really comment on the house at first, merely bouncing in place to stay warm and starts begging, “can we please go inside? please please please-“

she flinches when renjun starts singing louder, whipping her head to look at him and yell even louder for him to “be quiet!”

misun waves to the camera once she gets inside, raking her fingers through her hair.

“this place is so much better than the dorm,” she says to herself as they look around the house, not realizing a camera was right next to her until chenle pointed to it, laughing at her face. “ah… well, this is a hint to give us a better dorm.”

“look at the water,” she gasps once she goes to the windows, “i wanna throw someone in it.”

“let’s have the leader wake up by going in the water,” renjun turns to mark and misun tries to hide her laughter, turning away from mark and the camera.

“you only treat me as the leader at times like this,” mark says. misun can’t hide her laughter anymore.

when jaemin suggests going to the beach and eating, she says, “only if you’re making it.”

“mark should join the water challenge,” misun pretends as if she’s reading a fan comment after mark sings the popular song. mark looks at her with wide eyes and she laughs, “what? i’m talking about the other version.”

“taking the lost like a true loser,” misun pats haechan on the back after he fails and turns around, gasping when she saw the staff members on the balcony, “oh, god. that scared me.”

“do aegyo and jaemin’ll make dinner,” misun demands to renjun who makes a face at her.

misun jumps when renjun yells, again, and follows behind the other members to take the picture. jaemin pushes her lightly in front of him so she’s not in the back, hidden.

she laughs when haechan threatens jisung with the water, accidentally pressing the button to turn it on and they all gasp when water comes out. she quickly turns it back off, looking around cluelessly when the other members question how it happened.

“not all of us are going to fit,” misun stares at the tub, crossing her arms before renjun’s stare gets to her and she starts getting it, “okay, okay.”

misun is half laying on mark in the tub, clearly uncomfortable with half her legs laying outside the tub. but she smiles for the picture anyway before quickly climbing out.

“you don’t even wanna wait for me to look at the picture,” renjun huffs. misun rolls her eyes, “i trust you to not let me look stupid.”

“the cold makes me slow,” misun says as the instructor helps her with the gear. “i’m going to lose!”

“sucks to be you,” chenle pokes her in the back.

when the instructor asks if they could shoot the person, she immediately turns the toy gun on chenle.

“mark, why are you like this?” she laughs when mark lunges close to jaemin’s face.

“acting for you guys, maybe,” misun laughs after they say the killing’s just acting.

the game begins with misun hiding behind a ramp, bouncing slightly in her position to get warm. she runs after chenle but ends up right in front of jisung, giggling evilly to herself as she shoots at jisung. “ah, ah, stop-“ jisung laughs as he runs away from her.

“do you think they’ll notice if i just leave?” misun laughs, watching the chaos in front of her from further away. from her spot, she bends down behind a car and shoots at renjun. “i’m on your team!” renjun screams, laughing, but she doesn’t stop until mark gets her from behind. she whirls around, gasping at the betrayal despite him being on the opposite team, “mark!”

misun joins jaemin at top, sitting on a chair beside him as they watch the rest chase each other around. “i hate games,” she huffs, nose noticeably red.

“i’ll go this way, you go this way,” jaemin gestures for her to go the opposite way. she finds mark, immediately shooting him as revenge.

“what?” misun is confused, only hearing renjun yelling and not what he actually says. “oh, oh crap-“

when the instructor says the game is over, she sighs in relief, feeling hot now that she had been running around.

“haechan cheated,” misun says when haechan is revealed to have gotten first place. “for someone who got killed so many times, you’re bold,” haechan fires back, nudging her. “liar!” she laughs, “i’m right behind you and renjun!”

misun ends up having to go to the grocery store. definitely gave haechan the stank eye, mentally telling him he would get it later.

“i’m hungry so i’m going to get the entire store,” misun tells the members staying as the chosen losers walk to the car. they merely wave her off. “well now that they did that, i’m definitely getting the entire store with their money.”

“he only chose misun because of how many times she killed him,” mark laughs in the car. misun’s sitting in the back, leaning her head on jeno’s chair.

“don’t look at me, i’m not cooking, either,” misun shakes her head when they all turn to her. “i’m on strike, remember?”

mark laughs, telling the camera, “we got takeout one night when she made dinner and she was soo mad,” he turns the camera to misun who crosses her arms at him.

“you’re such a baby,” chenle says from the front and misun makes a face at him.

“sulky chenle,” misun laughs at the change, “wait, why does he get to choose?” jeno turns to her, smiling at her pout, “what do you want then?” misun stares at him, “oh, i don’t know, i don’t really care.”

“be careful,” misun carefully says in japanese, looking proud of herself as the others ‘wow’ at her. “you sound so different, dude,” mark laughs. “she sounds different in every language,” chenle points out. “the many voices of kang misun.”

“i want snacks, though,” misun squints, “jisung-ie also wants potato chips. definitely some dessert, too.”

“let’s just order food,” jeno suggests, laughing when misun turns to him. “nevermind, nevermind. still a touchy subject.”

“i don’t know why they thought it would be a good idea for us four to go shopping,” misun tells the camera, holding it as they get out the car. “did they think i’d take up leadership? they’re gonna wish jaemin went.”

— synopsis: sooyoung has a little too much fun at her 21st birthday party — and jaemin comes to tuck her in bed and nurse her back to health.

THE NIGHT WAS YOUNG at sooyoung’s birthday party — with every one of sooyoung’s closest friends and nct in attendance, but the only person missing was the birthday girl herself. sooyoung didn’t want to be missing out on her birthday party, but the mixture of strawberry cake and vodka did not settle well, and she was getting violently sick in the vibrating bathroom. sooyoung couldn’t help but cry as she sat on the cold bathroom floor, she was missing her own party! she wanted to be out there, singing and dancing with all of her friends - but her body was not forgiving her for her naive mistake.

she had been busy all morning preparing for her party, making sure everything was perfect and how she imagined, she only had one decent meal before people started arriving. her sweet tooth caved, and she had way too many pieces of her cake along with too many shots with her friends. sooyoung wished she just would have went for the wings table instead of the sweets.

soon enough, she heard a knock of the door, the person not even giving her a chance to respond before it was opened, revealing a confused jaemin.

“sooyoungie, what’s wrong?” jaemin asked, rushing to the girls side, pulling her hair back just as she was leaning over to get sick again. “oh, sooyoungie. how much have you had to drink?”

sooyoung whined as harming rubbed her back, crying once again once the episode was over. “i hate this.” sooyoung said, flushing the toilet and slumping against the wall.

“i know honey, i know.” jaemin whispered. “what happened?” jaemin asked, frowning when sooyoung continued to cry.

“i barely ate anything today, so i binged on the cake. and i lost count on how much i had to drink tonight, so that’s probably not a good sign either.” sooyoung sighed, looking over at jaemin sadly. “you don’t have to be in this stinky room with me, i’ll be okay. go have fun.” sooyoung said, swallowing down another sob.

“i’m not leaving you, soo, you’re the birthday girl. you’re the whole reason i’m here, so why would i leave you?” jaemin said, pulling the girl into a hug, shushing her as she began to cry again. sooyoung couldn’t help but feel her heart swoon as jaemin spoke to her so sweetly, only to feel it break seconds later. jaemin always knew the way to make her feel special, to make her feel so loved - but she knows she can’t allow herself to feel deeply about him. it could ruin everything, and she couldn’t afford that.

“do you feel like you are going to get sick again?” jaemin asked, pulling back when sooyoung whispered no, bringing the girl to her feet. “let me see what i can find to clean you up.” jaemin said, leading her to sit down on the toilet. the boy found a washcloth and mouthwash, so he filled the cap with a decent amount of mouthwash, and dampened the cloth with warm water.

after sooyoung rinsed her mouth, jaemin gently washed her face for her. he might have looked at her lips too long - maybe he swiped her mouth with his thumb without reason, letting it feel the softness of her puffy lips too long for it to be considered an accidental touch - but sooyoung couldn’t tell. she was in too much of a daze to make sense of things. jaemin looked up into her eyes, taking a deep breath when he saw her beautiful, big brown orbs. he cleared his throat and stood up, quickly putting everything away.

jaemin closed his eyes and collected himself - he couldn’t seem to push down the tingling sensation in his stomach - and when he looked over at sooyoung sitting with her legs crossed, her hair messed up and her makeup smudged, he could barely ignore his thumping heart.

“do you want to go back to the party, or go sleep?”jaemin asked softly, cooing when sooyoung only burst into tears again. “oh sweetie, don’t cry. please don’t cry. i know you feel bad - but everyone will understand.” jaemin reassured, brushing the hair out of the girls face.

“why are you being so nice to me?” sooyoung asked, sniffling and looking up at jaemin. “you didn’t have to stay with me, you know. you could’ve left me. but you stayed, even though you knew i could have thrown up on you any second.”

jaemin was taken aback by her question, quickly swallowing and answering, “because we are friends, and i care for you. friends don’t leave eachother when they are down.” jaemin said, sighing when sooyoung frowned at him. he could feel the atmosphere turn tense quickly, awkwardly swallowing the lump in his throat.

truth to be told - he hasn’t been the nicest to sooyoung recently. he’d been avoiding her - turning around when she’s in the living room, making up excuses when she asks to hang out, taking a longer time to respond to her texts. he knows it’s not fair to sooyoung, but it’s the only way he can keep himself from exploding and expressing his affection for sooyoung. ever since his managers warning - he’s been extra cautious around sooyoung, desperately trying to let go of his feelings for the girl.

it wasnt fair - but surely sooyoung would understand if he told her. but he couldn’t tell her - so he had to deal with the guilty conscience of knowing he was hurting his best friend.

sooyoung forced a smile, deciding to drop the elephant in the room - for now, at least. she could save the confrontation when she was sober.

“i want to go to sleep. i intended to spend the night anyways, so i already have an overnight bag in your room.” sooyoung shared, smiling when jaemin nodded.

“do you want me to stop the party?” jaemin asked, furrowing his eyebrows when sooyoung shook her head. “you’re going to be able to sleep through all this racket?”

“i can fall asleep anywhere, let them have their fun. just not renjun’s room, please. i’m pretty sure i saw him go in there with one of my old school friends.”

jaemin closed his eyes and laughed, shaking his head at renjun’s antics. “you can sleep in my room. i promise not to hook up with your friends.” jaemin joked, smiling when sooyoung laughed, helping her up. jaemin helped to girl walk up the stairs, holding his breath as she stumbled around.

he watched as sooyoung went to sit in the middle of his bed, struggling to pull the pink ribbons out of her curly hair. jaemin smiled at the girl, sitting behind her and uniting them, gently brushing out her hair for her. a sweet moment like this reminded jaemin on just how much he missed this girl, his dream girl.

“i could fall asleep right here,” sooyoung sighed, giggling when jaemin scratched her back, “you aren’t helping me!”

sooyoung slowly crawled out of the bed and grabbed her bag, smirking at jaemin and going to the bathroom to change.

this girl will be the death of jaemin.

jaemin quickly got nervous as he waiting for sooyoung to come back - would she want him to stay and sleep next to her? he doesn’t think his heart could stand seeing her sprawled out against his bed, her hair fanned against his pillow, and her soft, plump lips resting open. he wouldn’t be able to stand listening to her breaths, feel her chest move up and down next to him.

sooyoung didn’t help his struggle when she came out of the bathroom, wearing pajamas that fit her just right, showing just enough skin for jaemin to feel a sweat arising. he quickly looked away and stood up out of his bed, sitting on his beanbag in the corner of his room.

“you know, in the seven years i’ve known you, we never have had a sleepover just by ourselves.” sooyoung said, snuggling under jaemin’s warm covers.

“and you’ve had sleepovers with the rest of the members?” jaemin questioned, raising an eyebrow at the girl. he knew her and monique slept over time to time - but never knew about her sleeping in any of the boys rooms.

“just dream. and monique.” sooyoung said shrugging the question away. jaemin couldn’t help but feel jealous, but he quickly set it aside. it wasn’t his place to feel jealous over sooyoung.

“come lay with me, jae! i’m so lonely over here.” sooyoung pleaded, giving jaemin her best puppy eyes. “this bed has plenty of room for the both of us!”

jaemin knew he shouldn’t. if he got in bed with her, he would never be able to let her go. he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep without her on his side again. he would never want to sleep alone ever again.

while he knew all of these things - he still stood up, and layed down right next to her, turning his head to look at her. everything about her was so beautiful in jaemin’s eyes, he loved how her nose was slightly crooked, how her left side of her mouth came up higher than her right when she smiled…all of her imperfections she would complain about, he loved.

sooyoung couldn’t help but smile as she looked at the man next to her, the man she had allowed to fill a special place in her heart for years, a man she spent countless of nights dreaming about, a man who she loved - her little secret she couldn’t share with anyone. she could feel her heart race as she took in all of his features, allowing herself to move even closer to him, until their noses were touching.

he smelled so sweet, his breath smelling of strawberries and wine. she wished she could have a taste, and before she could get the chance, jaemin hurriedly pulled away and bounced out of the bed.

“you’re drunk, sooyoung. we shouldn’t do this.” jaemin stated, bringing a hand down across his face, as if to wipe away sooyoung’s scent. “you don’t know what you are doing.”

sooyoung could feel a sharp pain go through her heart at her words - even if she was in a drunken haze - she did know what she was doing. “this isn’t a drunken impulse, i want this. i want you, and i’m tired of pretending like i don’t.” sooyoung whispered, slowly sitting up in the bed, hurriedly pulling her night shirt down.

“soo, you aren’t in the right state of mind. you won’t remember any of this tomorrow, you’re intentions aren’t real.” jaemin said, but it sounded like he was trying to convince himself, not sooyoung.

“but what i feel for you is real. this is real, and i can’t help but feel like it’s real for you too.” sooyoung said, pointedly staring at jaemin, sighing when he only turned away from her burning gaze. sooyoung knew that this could have been a mistake. why did she allow herself to burst out like this? she knew that if something went wrong, it was over. it was completely over for her, there was no turning back around. she would never be able to truly let go of jaemin without leaving.

jaemin stared at the floorboards for awhile, until he finally gained the nerve to say something. “we can talk about this in the morning, when you’ve sobered up.” jaemin said flatly, knowing by the frustrated whine coming from the girl that he’d said the wrong thing.

“but you won’t talk to me tomorrow. you’ll just keep on ignoring me. when are you going to stop avoiding me? what did i do to make you so incapable of dealing with me?” sooyoung cried, not holding her tears back any longer. jaemin couldn’t handle it, knowing that he was the only one to blame for her tears. so, without any hesitation, jaemin jumped to her side, cradling her in his arms, gently caressing the back of her head until she calmed down.

“you didn’t do anything, sooyoungie. i’m not upset with you, or mad at you. i know shouldn’t have been avoiding you - but i felt like i didn’t have any other choice.” jaemin whispered, sniffling to keep his emotions at bay. he had to hold it together - at least until he could make sooyoung feel better.

“you could have talked to me, you could have said anything to me! and we could have figured it out together.” sooyoung choked out, pushing jaemin away when he tried to hug her again. “tell me what’s going on, right now.” sooyoung demanded, the look in her watery eyes so fierce that it immediately made jaemin cave, spilling his guts out on what has happened the past week, the past couple years.

he told her about how fell in love with her, when she and him were just kids, running home from the school in the rain. he thought she was the most prettiest girl he had seen - and even though she barely spoke to him, she still had the kindness in her heart to use the last dollar she had to buy him a snack. he couldn’t stop noticing everything she did after that. he watched as she helped the other trainees, how she politely listened to everyone’s opinions, how she opened doors and gave every single person such a kind smile.

and then he told her about the warning.

how the manager told him this love was bad news, that it was too dangerous, could be too obvious. people were already talking enough about sooyoung being in a group full of boys - could he possibly imagine what would happen when their speculations of her dating a member finally come true?

“i never want to put you in that position, where you have to choose between me or the career that you have put your entire soul into. and i knew that to keep you happy, i had to stop loving you. and i can’t get over you by feeling the weight of my love everyday when i see you. so i ignored you. and i know you were confused and hurt, and i never wanted that to happen. i’m so sorry, sooyoung. for being so foolish.” jaemin finished, reaching out to hold the girls hand. “i’m not foolish for loving you - because you are so deserving of being loved, but i’m foolish because i hurt you. i hurt someone who is so precious to me.” jaemin whispered, finally letting his tears run down his cheeks. he never expected this to turn out this painful.

“jaemin, please don’t hide anything from me anymore.” sooyoung whispered, squeezing onto the boys hand tightly. “i know you didn’t want to ruin things, or make things awkward and confusing. but i’d much rather have a complicated relationship instead of nothing at all.” sooyoung said, smiling softly when jaemin nodded, resting her head on jaemin’s shoulder.

“you know, i’ve loved you for a long time, too. i just never though you would notice me like that.” sooyoung chuckled softly, wiping jaemin’s tears away softly. “i know this love is messy - but it’s not wrong. why should we let what people say about us prevent us from loving each other?” sooyoung asked, sighing and staring at jaemin. he was so pretty, everything about him was so precious to her, she loved his heart, his soul, his small favors and his kind words and voice, she hated that everyone would think that their love was a crime.

how could such pure and innocent love be wrong?

“it’s not only us that this relationship would affect. it would mess with everyone, our groups reputation…success…we might not be able to release any music until the situation is cleared up.” jaemin pointed out, raising to sit on the bed with her. “you mean the world to me, sooyoung, but this is risky.”

“but to me you’re worth the risk, jaem. i don’t care-” sooyoung started, only to be interrupted by jaemin shaking his head at her.

“don’t say you don’t care if you loose your job, soo. because you would care - this career is everything to you, to both of us. this is the dream that we fought for, so even if you think you would be okay with loosing it all for me, when it actually happens, what are you going to do? what is going to keep you going?” jaemin said, his voice breaking at the end. “and i’m not saying that i don’t want to fight for us, but this is the reality, sooyoung. this is messy, we are crossing the lines between our job and love, and the way this business runs…they aren’t supposed to overlap.”

sooyoung frowned, she knew jaemin was right. if she didn’t have music, she might as well have nothing at all. there wasn’t a day that she didn’t think about music, whether that be listening to others music or creating her own, there wasn’t a day that she didn’t think about dancing. she was always thinking about her art, her work in some sort of way. she wasn’t ready to let it go anytime soon, but she couldn’t handle having jaemin so close to her, yet so far away any longer.

“can we just try, jaem? try and make it work?” sooyoung asked, almost melting in jaemin’s hand when he brushed away her hot tears on her cheeks. “i don’t want to let you go.”

jaemin closed his eyes, let out a deep breath, and when he opened them, he knew he couldn’t restrain himself any longer. without a second thought, he carefully leaned in closer to sooyoung, bringing a soft hand to rest on her waist, the other gently tilting her chin towards him. when he kissed her, he knew that there was no going back. he held her with such tender love, sooyoung felt like her heart was going to burst at the seams for the boy. there was no rush between them, they took their time, letting all of their emotions connect and rush through eachother.

“we can make this work.” jaemin whispered against sooyoung’s lips, leaning down to leave one final kiss before swooping her up in his arms, rolling them onto the bed. “i love you,” jaemin whispered, smiling when sooyoung just giggled and hid her face in his neck. “god, it feels so good to say that.”

“it feels so good to have my jaemin back,” sooyoung said, bringing her head up to look at the boy, her boy, leaving a gentle kiss on his cheek. “i thought i was going to loose you forever.”

“i’m not going anywhere now, angel.” jaemin said, smiling when sooyoung nodded, relaxing her body against his own. “i’ll love you, forever and always”.

forever and always, and that was the truth. when you fall in love with someone like sooyoung - there’s no letting go. there’s no saying goodbye, because sooyoung was a girl that everyone remembered. that everyone adored, and jaemin couldn’t be more happier when he knew that sooyoung was going to let him love her like he always wanted to. let him treat her right, let him really know her.

let him be hers.

Hannah’s sitting next to Taeyong in the beginning, and you see him looping their arms together while Doyoung explains what is going on

after mark clarifies if the groups are randomized, haechan speaks up “what about haeeunie?”

“nct’s princess has the privilege of choosing wherever she wants to sleep, which is why she has her in-ears with her already”

hannah cheers while showing off the box in her hand, “princess privilege!”

when jaehyun picks jisung you can hear her in the background “oh, that sounds like a nice room” (then haechan’s “no, haeeun-ah, me!”)

but when kun picked johnny, haechan yelled “no! that’s where she’s gonna go!”

everyone laughed as johnny and kun stood next to each other, johnny going “hannah’s korean and chinese dads”

the camera zooms in on hannah who gave a simple shrug and a smile

once doyoung was sure no one would switch rooms, he called hannah to the front

“right now, hannah is going to choose her roommates. drumroll please!”

17 pairs of hands started hitting the floor while hannah laughed

“plain and simple, everyone. mark and jaemin, you’re stuck with me”

the two boys got up and cheered to high five hannah while others (read: haechan, ten, jaehyun, yuta, jisung, and chenle) protested

hannah’s sitting on the small shelf behind mark and jaemin while mark starts the video, just smiling at them

“this is mark” “this is jaemin na” “...”

mark looked back at her while she just stared back “hans, say something” “hey, guys! i’m hannah!”

while jaemin and mark discuss them being a couple with their snapbacks, you see hannah walk behind them to sit on the bed

“hannah, for some unknown reason, wanted the foldable add-on bed, so she’s there” “it’s comfier!” “anyway, can you guess which bed is jaemin’s”

when mark told jaemin he was being over, she snorted

“please, mark. we had a solid thirty minute conversation about how jaemin would get in next to you or if we would share the foldable bed” “wait, really?”

then jaemin explained how he eventually got in bed while hannah still watched in amusement

jaemin pulled her over to his bed, and they shifted so she was resting in front of them and all three of their faces were in the screen

she gave a playful judgy look with jeno popping out behind jaemin and mark’s exaggerated shock

“and the answer to why our room is popular among the members is? Jeno-shi?” “the answer is lee hannah!”

jaemin laughed “true, actually”

then jeno explained the real reason why he was there

then mark was explaining the actual answer of why the members came, and you can see hannah look up in surprise when jeno gets on the bed and start pretending to put kisses on jaemin

when jaemin almost said what mark said that morning, hannah snorted and got up off the bed and back to hers on jaemin’s other side

you can see jeno plop himself on her bed, and she’s trying to shove him off, but he just kept plopping back onto her bed. mark and jaemin kept talking like nothing was happening

“good night! hans, say good night!” “good night! it will be once lee jeno gets off my bed!”

#5 - BEHIND THE STAGE

taeil starts of the video walking to hannah who was getting her makeup retouched and hands her a cup of what looks like coffee. she grinned while she took it

“hannah-yah, what are you doing?” “now? i’m getting touched up. oppa, how’s my makeup?” “pretty” he then taps her cheek and walks over to mark and winwin

the next cut you see of her is when mark and jaemin’s cakes are there the next day

kun goes “kids, hannah baked those cakes”

mark does a double take “what?” and jaemin looks at her in shock “you were with us in our room! you fell asleep before us”

she laughed, “i snuck out with kun baba and youngho oppa at like 2am, you guys were so tired you didn’t wake up”

“dude, thank you!” mark went over to her and gave her a quick side hug while jaemin just engulfed her “haeeun-ah! thank you for baking the cake haeeunie!”

and you just see her squirming to escape the hug when it got too long

⸃ ⸰ ⌁ after the fan that had been stalking yoonchae finally manages to find her apartment she finally breaks down ヾ

when fans first began to show up to her apartment; yoonchae was moved from her apartment, ordered to stay in a hotel for a while, of course she didn't stay in a hotel, she slept on chenles' couch— but she soon missed her own bed, and her cat; so the company thought it would be okay if she did moved back into her apartment as long as she was careful of her surroundings, and everything was fine — up until that day.

she didn't feel like anything was out of the ordinary except the weight from the day on her; she had gotten off of a hectic schedule, a staff member bringing her back from the company. her street was quiet, her building mostly consisted of families. that's why she felt bad when the fans would show up. she thanked the manager, he even offered to walk her up which she declined. “it's late , you should go home and get some rest.” she climbed out of the car , waving off the manager, who waited for her to enter the apartment doors before driving off.

she pressed the elevator button , sending a text to her mother who she had neglected to respond to due to being busy , while waiting for it to come down, pressing her floor making her way up to her apartment. “hi babies.” her cats waited, purring at her feet. “did you eat?” she closed the door, making sure it was locked. “i missed you today.” she made her way to her room. “mommy's gonna take a shower, she'll see you in a few.”

finally able to rest, she made her way to the kitchen for some food, her face in her phone as she waited for the food to heat up, her phone ringing; she sighed realizing it was another random phone number, she got these at least 40 times a day, no matter how many times she changed it; called the so called fans out, it never worked.

sitting her phone down; about to grab her food when there was a knock on her door; there's never a knock on her door, her managers almost never come up and most of not all the neos have the passcode to her apartment thanks to hyuck. she didn't say anything; luckily she had a doorbell camera.

“hello?” she said , the person didn't say anything, she couldn't see the person either, their face was covered by a mask and a hat , they also had a hood on. “yoonchae?” she didn't recognize the voice , and that's when her heart dropped, did someone get into her apartment building? the person began banging on the door , harsher , she could see the door shaking.

the person outside the door was relentless, pounding at the door , screaming her name and other obscure things, her neighbors probably hearing this; she was terrified. she ran to the kitchen grabbing her phone to dial for the police. “please help.” she didn't realize she was crying until she tasted the saltiness on her lips. “please come quickly.” she sobbed into the phone. “please.”

hanging up the phone , she ran to her room to hide and wait for the police , she dialed the only number she could see through her tears, and the closest person to her. “yoonchae?” she heard jenos voice. “jeno.” she cried. “th-there's someone out there.”

“out where? where are you?” he asked. “my apartment, they got in somehow.” she said. “how? how the hell did they find your number.” he said. “i don't know, they must've followed me up , but there was no one in the elevator.” she said. “i called the police and they haven't shown up yet , I'm so scared , they're pounding on the door.”

she could feel the tightness in her chest , she had been experiencing panic attacks ever since they figured out her address the first time. “hey calm down , wait for the police to get there,” he said. “im coming now i'm close by.”

the banging on the door came to a quick halt, the person probably running away. “the person probably realized we were coming and ran away.” the police arrived soon; jeno must've informed the manager because he showed up around the time the police did , along with himself. “i should've walked you up, i didn't even see anyone following behind you.”

the manager talked to the police, while jeno comforted her but she couldn't even let out a sigh of relief , her whole body was shaking with fear , it felt like everything was was finally coming to a hilt , the stress from everything, the crazy fans constantly harassing her , this seemed to be the breaking point , she couldn't hear anything, even when the police arrived , it felt like she was having a out of body experience , they could barely get anything out the girl. “i don't think she's doing good.”

“she's had schedule after schedule , she hasn't had a day off in like 6 months.” the manager said. “i talked to the rest of the managers and they informed the CEO, we all think she should get some help.” he said, rubbing his temples.

“i don't need help.” she said. “yeah you do.” jeno said, he could see she needed it , hell everyone could see she needed it , even her mother who was miles away could tell just from hearing her voice; she could still remember her mother crying telling her to slow down a bit , she'd been working non stop for the past 4 years without any breaks.

“if you don't get help it won't end well , you're trying , but everyone can see it.” jeno said. “look at you still shaking , panic attacks after every show isn't normal.” he rubbed her shoulders calmly. “i already talk to the CEO , they think it's what's best.” the manager said , she sighed nodding. “you have to move out of here as well, it's clearly not safe now that they know your apartment number.”

“you can stay in a hotel until the company finds you a new apartment.” you packed a bag. “jaemin wouldn't mind 2 new cats for a minute.” jeno said , watching you pack a bag. “it's just until they find you a new one.” he said. “don't worry.”

“it's gonna be okay.” jeno wrapped his arms around the girl. “get the help you need, go see your grandmother in jeju.” he said. “maybe you can go visit your family.” he said. “it'll be okay.” he kissed her forehead, something he did even when they were young. “the manager is gonna take you to a hotel, i’ll get your babies to jaemins.”

it was quite ride back to the hotel , the managers making phone calls to all the necessary people , they found a nice hotel for the night, her mother was stressed over the text messages, she was begging for her to see if she could come home just for a while , she told her she'd come home if she could but she needed to receive her treatment.

the manager rode with her all the way up to her room. “stay here for a couple days, clear your head until the treatments start,” he said , sitting the bags you packed on the hotel room floor. “the company will find you a better apartment , more secure than the old one.” was the last thing he said , before he left the girl.

she didn't want to be alone , but she didn't want to call anyone , she didn't want to be a burden to anyone. jeno did call her to make sure she was alright, the rest of the boys were told what happened , but the managers told them to not bother her until the morning.

for now she was alone , all alone in her hotel room , feeling ten times as worse as she was already feeling.

it was gonna be a long recovery for the the girl.
