You're an angel, I'm a dog (s.haruchiyo x reader drabble)
Haruchiyo is petrified when you first ask to kiss him.
His breath caught in the ravine of his gullet as you stare at him with those eyes of yours: the ones he would sacrifice the world for if he has to.
“Haru?” You ask softly, you are so patient with him; it reduces him to a soft, pliable mass. He is scared of shattering his mirage of the perfect future (you) if his grip is even slightly harsh.
“Yeah baby,” he says, the corners of his eyes crinkling as he pulls his mask down and stuffs it in his pocket.
It's not like you haven’t seen his face under his mask, diamond scars bedecking the sides of his mouth, in a faint cicatrix, painted by a soft stroke of a pink that should be patented for him.
Your breath is on his neck as you look up. It is a gust that seems to wash away his sins.
He loves you like a dog. Feral in all its gruesome and bloody glory, how in the end he has his head perched on your lap, kneeling as you brush your hands in his hair, loving him despite all his blemish and bestiality.
The diamonds on the corner of his lips tremble as he leans close, his hand grabbing you closer by your waist, he’s scared.
No one has ever been this close or seen him this vulnerable. He’s afraid of disappointing you. He is nervous about losing control. He is anxious about his first kiss.
“Haru, don’t be nervous.” You say as you move your palm to trace those diamonds on his face; more valuable than any hallmark ones you can find.
He has to close his eyes to control himself, his name uttered by your mouth, Ha-ru… He’s Sanzu to the world, but he is your Haru.
The brush of your skin, feeling someone stepped up on the accelerator of his heart. As you bring your finger towards Sanzu's face, a gentle caress over the bridge of his nose elicits a subtle scrunch at the tender sensation. Your finger then glides to the dip of his lips, tracing the contours of his mouth with a delicate touch, before lingering over the ridged skin at the corners with a gentle reverence.
His lips part in a shaky 'o', head tilts slightly, revealing a constellation of blue veins on his neck, his Adam's apple bobbing like a soft landmark on the expanse of his flesh when he gulps.
He leans in, the muscles of his face twitching slightly before he stops halfway through. Your noses touching. His sharp, small naxal muscles, and fuchsia eyes peering into yours like the world is ending.
And then your lips finally meet. It's awkward and stiff, with skin getting caught between teeth, lips hitting cacophonically, but it's special, enchanting perchance. It's gradual, saccharine melting of lips, eyelids fluttering, palms holding each other's faces comfortably..
Breathing heavily and pulling away with flushed faces as silly grins break onto both your faces.
Sanzu loves you like a dog but kisses you like you are his god.

damn i love my religion but these entitled privileged brahmins need to shut the fuck up and stop victimising themselves and then blame the lower castes and adivasis when they don't get their desired seat like your gods modi adani ambani and advani are hellbent on wiping off adivasis and that is why these fuckers like to call them naxals and forest dwellers to justify ousting them out of their fucking homes good god no wonder users like hindulivesmatter magic-coffee vindhyavihasini are defending a fucking genocide these braindead genocidal maniacs. i know we should not spread such distaste against anyone but damn these people i feel so sick going through their blogs they are not even hiding that they want india to be a hindu rashtra don't they know if india does become a hindu rashtra, their rights over properties will be taken away, their husbands can marry again and more patriarchal casteist bullshit these nazi apologists can pull out. and absolutely seeing a radfem terf hindulivesmatter suddenly care about ram ji accepting trans people right before ram mandir fucking cunts. people who they think are "hinduphobic" and stalk their accounts are most of the times hindus themselves, and most all of them queer people themselves. so by that logic does it not mean these people are harassing queer people on this fucking site. forgive me for my rage but i used to follow some people who used to reblog these users and i am so fucking ashamed of them and myself. like they deny sati ever existed, IT DID THERE ARE RECORDS EVEN BEFORE JAUHAR. they say casteism is a western concept, the SAME PERSON WHO SAID THAT LITERALLY SAID SHUDRAS SHOULD NOT ENTER TEMPLES. like the hindutva mania is getting into children i am scared what these people will do to us as whole.
i saw the stuff your mutuals post and they're so funny it's hilarious how hindutvadis lose their minds over posts that doesn't even concern them.

hi there! i have an ask i think u might either have an answer for or know someone who does. im looking for texts about the history of the naxal movement in india or also wider leftist history in the indian subcontinent. i feel like i have a very biased understanding of it since my grandparents were involved in the naxalite movement and growing up in the US, that was sort of the only thing i ever heard about indian leftism. i'd love to read more, especially about the wider context at the start of the uprising in 1967, but im not sure what sources are best.
cool grandparents!
The Story of an Aborted Revolution: Communist Insurgency in Post independence West Bengal, 1948–50 by Sekhar Bandyopadhyay, The Naxalite Movement in Central Bihar by Bela Bhatia, The Dalit and Naxalite Movements in AP by Ajay Gudavarthy are all short pieces for you to get started with some more interesting pieces of context.
I have also been recommended, but not read India’s Simmering Revolution: The Naxalite Uprising by Sumanta Banerjee and The Burning Forest by Nandini Sundar as broad overview books.
On the broader leftist movement itself: Reinventing Revolution: New Social Movements in India by Gail Omvedt should give you a good overview of leftist history in India that isn't just Naxalism. I have contentions with her representation of Ambedkarites but her broad analysis is correct. On other pivotal moments, I think you should read Unclaimed Harvest: An Oral History of the Tebhaga Women's Movement by Kavita Panjabi and The Long Haul: The Bombay Textile Workers Strike of 1982-83 by Rajni Bakshi.
This is not a reading you necessarily need I think. But on modern politics esp for people unfamiliar with India's left, Singur/Nandigram is key to getting why the parliamentary left in this country is a dead end. Maitreesh Ghatak's academic work is useful in this vein. The book reviews on EPW are a good place to start if that's too much.
All of these are all available online at the usual places but in case you can't find them feel free to DM me.

hey girl! do you have any recs on the topic of separatist movements in India, emphasis on the khalistani movement. I'm looking for an academic perspective, as to how and why this movement began, historical basis etc!
hi! i do, here you go —
Blood for Blood by Terry Milewski: he’s one of the best people writing about Khalistani separatism and this book also looks at the global dimensions of the movement
The Khalistan Conspiracy by GBS Sidhu: more specifically about the movement in India and how things came to a head in 1984; he used to be in the R&AW so there’s a lot to learn here
India Against Itself by Sanjib Baruah: a history of cultural and ethnonationalist politics in Assam, how it tipped over into separatism, and how the Indian state dealt with it. Also see his In the Name of the Nation.
India’s Northeast by Udayon Misra: a collection of essays on the northeast’s politics and identity
Hello Bastar by Rahul Pandita: it’s a journalistic work on the Naxal movement and India’s red corridor
hope that helps!

@greyhoundai op of that post has me blocked lol so here:
it’s as simple as googling “Naxal civilian deaths” and then knowing bare minimum stuff about the way the Indian government works. Indians are afforded the fundamental right to information (RTI), which allows us to file inquiries to access government records. records on naxal death tolls are kept by the ministry of home affairs. simple google search leads you to articles about civilian deaths at the hands of Naxals which often state the name of the RTI activist who filed the request.
Here is just one pdf of a an RTI filing and the government’s response. You can find any of these by googling [person filling the report’s name] [inquiry] “mha” Other such enquirers also looked at demographics, and most civilians killed are usually people from scheduled tribes who are painted as “police informants”.
“I don’t believe the ministry of home affairs because it’s propaganda!” I don’t fucking know what to tell you like no other body is going to have access to this information at this scale. Yes, Naxals are used to gain political power, but the main reason that they are a talking point is because people in the red corridor fear for their lives and want safety.
People can imply all they want that I’m just a poor third worlder who hasn’t been deprogrammed :(( because I’m apparently “taking propaganda at face value” or whatever to which I say my opinion on Naxalism comes from personal experience alongside all the very obvious violations they commit. I’ve had family live in the red corridor and have their lives and livelihood threatened.
Naxals are also known for using the threat of violence to coerce civilians into joining their cause. Their actions cause direct harm to northeast India.
And it’s honestly really fucking western to assume that Indian bodies work the same as western ones. You cannot draw a one to one comparison from the Indian military to the American one, or the government, or just the way a system ought to run. We are a very young country ravaged by a lot of very complex geopolitical issues that I do not think westerners should feel comfortable weighing in on so confidently. I don’t think they understand partition, british raj, emergency, opening the markets, bangladesh, kashmir, naxalites, or any of the other very intense context required to have even some sort of coherent opinion on Indian politics. Sure, advocate for what you believe in, and support people when they stand up to our fascist government, but do not for a second think that you can make sweeping statements about the way the country works.
And if you really do want to be reblogging stuff like this, at least try to learn some of the structure of the countries you’re talking about. It’s not that hard to formulate a google search to find what you asked for. I appreciate your want to learn, but this just leaves such a sour taste in my mouth.

Hi!
Hi! I am a writer and this post is for my Bengali folks. I am trying to create a blog focusing on culture and politics from a leftist perspective, as there seems to be a vacancy for this type of article. For instance, here is an article critiquing the demonization of naxals in a popular Bengali film. Also, the international version would come pretty soon. If you like the idea, do give me a visit!

image description: a four-panel comic in black and white.
panel 1: narration reads, “Sonia is plagued by disturbing dreams of an encounter with DykeWatch, the dreaded lesbian police.” the image shows one lesbian curled up in bed, teeth chattering, while another lesbian in a police uniform looms over her holding a report.
“Ma’am,” she says, “we have a report that you were seen kissing a man within the last 2 hours. May I see your ID, please?”
Sonia cries, “Oh nooo! I’m innocent! Sort of…”
panel 2: Sonia’s ID, which reads “Certified Lesbian: Sonia Putter, out since 1974” with a double Venus symbol. small text at the top of the ID states “terms and conditions on reverse side.”
a speech bubble at the top of the panel says, “But I can explain! We met on the Sexual Assault Task Force! He’s on NAXAL’s board! He picked coffee in Nicaragua! It’s just one time! I swear I’ll never do it again!”
panel 3: “Sorry ma’am,” says the cop, “Lesbian Unwritten Law 12.00.05.09: intention to commit a natural act with a member of the opposite sex. I’m going to have to confiscate your lesbian card.”
the cop rips up Sonia’s ID as she flails in distress, yelling, “No! No! Waaa!”
panel 4: Sonia is on her knees in bed, holding a sheet to cover herself. she calls after the offscreen cop, “But officer, it’s my first offense!”
a speech bubble from offscreen says, “Sorry ma’am, we have to uphold the standards of the community.”
end image description.

Baghel mustn't be afraid of probe in Mahadev app 'scam' if he is innocent: Chhattisgarh CM
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said his predecessor and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel must not be afraid of an investigation against him in the alleged Mahadev betting app scam if he is innocent.
In an interview with PTI as his government completed 100 days in power on Thursday, Sai exuded confidence the BJP would win all 11 Lok Sabha seats in the state as people are eager to see Narendra Modi as prime minister for a third term.
He, however, added his party is not overconfident and does not consider the opposition weak. Asked about Baghel claiming he was being implicated in the Mahadev online betting app case, Sai said the former CM should not be scared at all if he is innocent.
The state Economic Offence Wing (EOW) earlier this month registered a case against Baghel and 18 others in the betting app "scam" on a report submitted by the ED, which has been probing the alleged money laundering part.
Asked about alleged selective action against Baghel, Sai said "an accused never admits his/her offence."
Speaking about the works of his government, which came to power following the Assembly polls in November last year, the 60-year-old Sai said he had launched the BJP's Lok Sabha campaign from Bastar on Wednesday and the massive turnout in sensitive areas like Narayanpur showed the level of people's support for the party.
"Women are very happy with Mahtari Vandan scheme (monthly financial assistance for women), farmers were given money twice in the last three months (pending bonus for two years and input assistance for kharif marketing season 2023-24) and youth are happy with alleged irregularities in state public service commission being probed by the CBI," he said.
"Every section is happy and all these works will help us win all 11 Lok Sabha seats. On the other hand, the Congress is not getting candidates for the Lok Sabha polls. People of Chhattisgarh have seen Congress rule for five years (2018-2023). None of its 36 promises were fulfilled. The party has lost the faith of people," Sai claimed.
The nomination process for Bastar (the lone seat in the state which will go to polls on April 19) began on Wednesday but the Congress is yet to get a candidate, he said, adding leaders from that party were joining the BJP across the country. The remaining 10 seats will see polling on April 26 and May 7, while votes will be counted on June 4. The Congress has so far declared candidates for just six seats.
The ruling BJP has named candidates on all 11. Asked about challenges in some seats like Rajnandgaon, Sai said the BJP considers every seat as tough, adding that "we don't consider our opponent weak and we do not get over-confident".
The welfare works done for villages, farmers, poor, labourers and women under the 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas' motto by the Modi government in the past 10 years were being taken to the people along with the development done by the BJP in the state in the past 100 days as well as 15 years (2003-2018) earlier, the CM asserted.
"The people have strong faith in Modiji and want to see him as prime minister for a third consecutive term," Sai said. Speaking on Congress' allegations of his government not making its Naxal policy clear, Sai said, " It is very clear. We want to hold dialogue with them and have offered talks. (But) if they continue to speak the language of bullets then we are ready to give them a befitting reply."
The state government was setting up camps of security forces and basic amenities and welfare scheme benefits will be routed to villages within a five kilometre radius from them under the 'Niyad Nellanar' (your good village) initiative, Sai said. "I call such security camps as 'suvidha' camps. More than 25 basic amenities will be provided in such villages under 'Niyad Nellanar'. There are 14,000 villages in five sensitive districts in Bastar region, which do not have electricity supply. These villages will be electrified through solar energy or by laying electricity lines under the scheme," he informed.
On being asked about Union Minister Amit Shah's statement ahead of the 2023 Assembly polls that Naxalism will be wiped in five years if the BJP came to power, Sai said there was a "double engine" government and all the support will be available for the task. "The Union Home Minister is concerned about the (Naxal) issue and we are getting continuous support from the Centre," Sai asserted.
