Note: I'm making this story for the love of my life, Osamu Dazai. It's his birthday today and I can still remember the first time I fell in love with him. Anyway, this story is gonna be about the reader making breakfast for Dazai and giving him a surprise. Happy Birthday Osamu Dazai!

You were cuddling up to your boyfriend, Osamu Dazai. You and Dazai were sleeping peacefully. You were laying your head on his chest and wrapping your arm around his waist while, he had his arm wrapped tightly around you. You were happily content until you felt the Sun hit your face through the window, indicating it was morning. You slipped out of your boyfriend's arm, so you could make him his birthday breakfast since it was Dazai's birthday. You grabbed your navy blue robe that Dazai got for you and put it on as you walked into the kitchen. You wanted to make a heart-shaped pancake and some bacon for him. You grabbed two pans out from the cabinet. You turned on the stove and put the pans on it before you went to grab the bacon and pancake batter. You placed the bacon on one pan and poured the pancake batter in a heart shape on the other pan. The smell of bacon and pancakes cooking wafted through the house waking up Dazai. Dazai woke up, missing you from the bed but, smells delicious food cooking and immediately smiled, knowing you were cooking for him. Dazai put on his matching navy blue robe but left it open because he knew you liked looking at his toned muscular chest. Dazai walked into the kitchen and stealthily sneaked up behind you as he wrapped his arms around your waist and left kisses on your neck. You moaned softly, as he was kissing your sweet spot. Dazai chuckled softly hearing your moan and said, "So rude of you Bella, to leave me in bed alone." You kept your eyes on the food so it wouldn't burn as he continued to kiss your neck. You whimpered from the pleasure of his kissing and replied, "Please, Baby, I'm trying to make you breakfast." You heard Dazai sigh and stop kissing your neck before he said, "I suppose I can stop for a little while." Dazai walks over to the table in the kitchen and sits down as he watches you cook. You grab two plates and put some bacon on both of them before putting a pancake on both plates. You place butter on both pancakes and place the plates on the table, giving Dazai the plate with the heart-shaped pancake. You go to grab the syrup and fill two cups of orange juice, bringing that to the table before sitting down. Dazai blushes slightly when he sees the heart-shaped pancake and he utters, "Belladonna, this is so beautiful, just like you. I'm so lucky to have you." I blush slightly as well at his compliment and reply, "You are so sweet, Baby. It's all for you. Enjoy your breakfast." Dazai and you start eating the breakfast you made, you both enjoying the food. When you both finish the food, you get up from the table and walk over to him, placing a kiss on his cheek before you say to him, "Now, that we finished, I wanna give you your birthday gift." Dazai's eyebrows rise in interest and responds, "How sweet. You got something for me." You nodded your head and went to the room to get his birthday gift, which was hidden in the closet. You walk back in and give Dazai the two gift bags to him. Dazai saw one gift bag was smaller than the other and opened that one first. You heard Dazai gasp when he pulled out multiple cans of his favorite cans of crab. Dazai got excited to see what was in the bigger gift bag and immediately went to see what was in it. Dazai pulled out 3 bottles of liquor, One was his favorite wine, the second was his favorite sake, and the last was his favorite whiskey. You heard Dazai gasp at the surprise you got for him and he said, "Bella, you got all of my favorites." You walked over to him and sat on his lap wrapping your arms around his neck before placing your lips on his in a gentle and passionate kiss that showed your love for him. Dazai immediately wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer as he returned the kiss. After a few minutes of kissing him, you pull away and smile brightly at him as you exclaim happily, "Happy Birthday, My Love! I love you!"

Sleepy brown eyes settled over you; glazed in a warmth unmatched to the sunlight that bid its welcome through the windows crevas. Unbeknownst to you, a placid candor became graced upon Dazai's features, cheeks stretching the further he indulged in his shameless stupor.

The leaking golds of sun cascaded over your figure, light dust particles meandering around. It was akin to the stirring that became pervasive in his chest, heightened by the snores and light murmuring you emmited. Its tone was mellifluous to his ears even when laced in a raspy undertone or simply muttering puerile phrases.

The scene felt entirely picturesque and it was astonishing even now for the burnette to be bestowed with an interlude as addicting as this.

" Belladonna~"

A pair of bandaged limbs and abrasive fingertips curved along your arm, random circles and patterns traced— the wake of his touch diffused a tincture of sentiments left unspoken on the tip of his tongue. His eyes were more than telling, however, the dilation showcasing his keen attention to you even during such leisurely hours.

His gaze would ultimately softened admist your presence, and it was almost hard to believe he was the object of manys affections and a flirt; internally, he had always became stupefied, hearts aglow where his pupils should be when it came to you.

Inquiry over his devotion never dwindled too long - the answer was evident in his ministrations and physical stature. For someone who exhibits lax behavior, he notably straightens and beams a pair of pearly whites when he catches your silhouette. His stride is all but eager, smothering you a deluge of affections that did nothing to satiate his ardor.

Exultation always felt like a brevity to Dazai and yet it seemed universal when you were just within arms reach. Even in the rare taciturnity of passing moments, it was deterred by the grin pasted on him that gave way to his festering emotions. He always regarded himself as a reserved individual, and yet it was nearly painful how his emotions threatened to seep into his demaneor at this moment.

As though feeling his intense lingering gaze, you peeked an eye open, greeted by the benign other. He could feel his pulse hasten, momentarily lapsing from his meticulous control as you fluttered your eyes at him.

" Good morning, 'Samu."

The corner of his eyes wrinkled almost by impulse, empathized by a wave so strong, he struggled to contain himself. A dainty finger reached out to mindlessly trail around your face, curling your bangs and strands around the digit. Meanwhile, his eyes trailed south to your hand, and he couldn't stop the pronounced twitch that made his lips arcuate.

A ring. A gift only appropriate for you.

The small metallic band rested on your finger, its prescence accentuated wordlessly. Its resplendent surface gleamed and reflected against the intruding rays, meeting his awestruck gaze. It almost fascinated him how a small jewel could betoken the significance of his purdurable cherishes. And just looking at it made him feel more alive.

His own finger mirrored a similar piece, but he was far more beguile seeing it on your finger - knowing he was responsible for placing the object into its proper orientation.

He was thoroughly devoted to you even when he struggled to voice it outloud. But the inability became increasingly marred and exposed a vulnerability only evident to your eyes.

Then again, the depth of his emotions were abundant and the jewel was just a testament of that ceaseless infatuation. Not enough orchestrating, sweet nothings or offerings can properly allude to the accumulation that harbors within his previously wilted chest cavity.

Consider him captivated, entranced, bewitched - through and through wrapped around the finger that housed the representation of his joie de virvre.

Dazai's grin remained intact as his thumb continued to work along the edges of your face - the veracity behind the lineaments palpable.

Crown:

Is quite close with Commodore Kai. Has even been known to take bribes from him to do sketchy things. However, if he believes that the action is too far, or is something that Edward would not like, he’ll deny the offer.

Hoards gems and has a whole chest full of them in his office. The crew likes to joke that he’s a dragon in human form. He doesn’t even use the gems that often, he just likes the shine and glow of them.

Goes to the Palo Town executions as a ‘treat’ or ‘entertainment’ after a long day of work. On very rare occasions, they may bring their crew along with them to watch. However, their seafarers don’t seem to enjoy watching someone die as much as he does.

Has been known to break into Whitesummit and exterminate all the assassins there. However, he always leaves the small crooks alone. Only goes after Assassin Syndicate members.

Connors:

Isn’t all too comfortable about the idea of having his parents looking for him since he doesn’t even remember anything about them. Holds onto the heirloom necklace despite this.

Is weary of the Grand Navy. He knows that Commodore Kai hides secrets and the files that hold his previous life’s time as a Vice Captain. Sometimes, he purposefully gets himself caught and jailed just so he can talk to the man.

Visits Tucker’s grave every now and again despite not knowing who he was. They always leave some Lifebloom flowers and some cooked fish at his headstone. They always leave before anyone can see them do it, however.

If one were to go into his office late at night, they may catch him eating gems. His jaw is strong enough to easily crush bones, and his favorite so far has been those of the Greenwish Cult. He also loves the taste of Tanzanite, it’s his favorite gem to eat.

Crest:

When it comes to working under pressure, Crest is the best at it. You could tell him that all of the Gods of Olympus would die if he didn’t somehow exterminate all Giant White Eyes, eradicate the Dark Sea, and destroy all Sea Curses; and he would do it in 24 hours flat.

He is notorious amongst the Grand Navy for his unassuming figure; luring them in to seem like an easy target, before crushing them mercilessly without so much as a flick of the finger, or a drop of sweat on his face.

He adores shiny gems, and will often incorporate them into anything he owns; ships, armor, weapons, you name it, there’s a gem somewhere on it. He even has King Calvus’ crown that he stole shortly after killing him.

His favorite flowers are Belladonnas, and he’ll often feed them to those whom he ‘loves’ most :)

My line: Belladonna seated herself at the table in her place – at the end – just as Cassiopeia strode across the room on Septimus’s arm. She looked stunning, Belladonna had to admit – her vivid blonde hair was done in a fancy, intricate updo, and she wore a long blue gown with detailed gold embroidery. Septimus was staring at her with obvious adoration in his eyes as the two of them walked together.

Cassiopeia always had an elegant grace to her, and tonight was no exception – she was slender and beautiful, with a perfect face and sharp features. She was everything Belladonna wanted to be, her beautiful, mismatched eyes glinting with incisive amusement and her tasteful makeup highlighting her elegant appearance. She was… stunning. It took Belladonna a few seconds too long to tear her eyes off of Cassiopeia, and by that time Cassiopeia had noticed her.

My rewrite: Belladonna had just found her seat at the end of the table when Cassiopeia made her appearance. It was as if the room suddenly experienced its own private dawn. Her golden hair was done up with impeccable style, while her navy gown sparkled with starry embroidery. Septimus, for all his importance, seemed like a simple accessory hanging off her arm. He stared into her eyes with an undeniable ardor.

As always, Cassiopeia walked with faultless grace. All of her angles, her proportions, seemed exactly right - as sharp and slim as a stiletto blade. That was the sort of image Belladonna yearned for. Maybe if she was disciplined enough, strong enough, she could come close. It wasn't until Cassiopeia's mismatched eyes flicked her way that Belladonna realized she'd been staring.

Your line: Suddenly, but gently, the memory of a great plaza trickled into Izjik’s mind, filled with hundreds of dancing people, their skin and hair shining with all the colors of Illaros. A vast, tile mosaic covered the floor and the dancing people followed its geometric lines. Dude, do I have a whumpy book for you Just finished it today It’s called The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue It’s a historical adventure with romance (except alchemy also works?) Spoiler warning for the whole story Basically this rakish eighteen year old son of an earl is going on The Grand Tour as rich Europeans did back then with his best friend, who he is in love with and pines for for a majority of the book, and his sister who they initially intend to drop off at a finishing school This all goes to hell when an impulsive decision leads to him stealing a macguffin from a duke that leads to a massive manhunt for him and his companions So this of course leads to all the whump that comes with being on the run, there’s a part where someone puts belladonna in his system which makes him almost death-like and his friends are extremely worried for him They stowaway on a ship that gets taken over by pirates and are taken hostage until they actually get on good terms with the pirates when they help the French navy from arresting them THEN the duke catches the main character when he doesn’t have the macguffin on him and the duke sets up an exchange for it with the mc as a hostage - gun on the temple style In some ensuing chaos later in this scene he gets his ear partially shot off! He’s in shock and it’s all great as his friend is trying to get his unmoving self out of an underwater catacomb that’s collapsing on them (oh yeah, they’re in underwater catacombs) His whole ear has to get cut off Now there is some stuff that could make someone uncomfy rather than the usual hurt/comfort we usually enjoy such as a scene that really goes into the physical abuse the mc suffered at the hands of his father, the friend character’s family planning on putting him in an asylum because of his epilepsy and the racism this friend experiences because he is dark skinned But yeah, I didn’t pick this up intending to find lots of whump but rather happily stumbled upon it

Ruby Team

9th Fighter Squadron, 2nd Air Division of the Royal Valean Air Force.

While the unit's name predated her transfer into the squadron, it is certain that the impact that Flight Lieutenant Ruby Rose had during the unit's involvement during the Second Great War has etched both her name and her unit's into the history book.

It was observed through the latter stages of the war that her mere presence in an airspace or over a battlefield directly affected the morale of all involved, either for the good or bad.

"That jet; we called it the Burning Rose, for the flames it left behind were akin to falling petals." - Separatist Atlesian POW

(Rafale M of the RVAF's 9th FS, serial 0148-011, dubbed "Crescent Rose")

Originally based out of Beacon AFB, located just outside of Vale's capital district, the 9th FS specialized in precision ground attack and tactical strike operations. Trained for interdiction, tactical bombing, precision and maritime strike, as well as the capability to self-escort to and from a target area, these pilots were renowned for their accuracy and tenacity.

However as the Second Great War progressed, Ruby Team found themselves at the spearhead of offensive and defensive operations across the theater of war. Ruby Team were also only one of the few from a handful of squadrons across both the Royal Valean Air Force and Royal Valean Navy's Maritime Air Arm to escape the fall of Vale to friendly territories.

"I swear, you could hear the confidence of the troops skyrocket when those four were seen overhead. You could be on your last magazine, but hearing those four sets of engines made you feel you could take on an entire armoured column." - Valean Army 'Hunter' operator.

Few actually know of the four pilots of Ruby Team beyond their names, ranks, and posting at the time of the Second Great War. Part of that was attributed to the loss of records as a result of the Fall of Vale, but anecdotal stories from allies and onlookers alike show that whilst not aloof the members of Ruby Team did tend to stay out of the limelight and out of view whenever they were on the ground between missions.

One common trait was clear though, remaining consistent regardless of whoever was interviewed about their encounters with the Burning Rose:

She inspired others with little more than a smile and a 'follow me'.

"If you were on the same [frequency] as them, you wouldn't have known it. They were at the level where merely a few words needed to be exchanged before each pilot moved to act. Many theorised over the factors and reasons why Ruby Team performed as well as they did during the course of the war. They weren't the only squadron to have considerable impact on the war and it's progress, with many successful operations attributed to other units that formed up the Remnant Strategic Allied Forces (RSAF).

One key attribute that some have indicated may have been a factor was their composition of pilots: a young Valean prodigy born from renowned ace pilots; the daughter and prospective heiress of one of the largest mega-corporations on Remnant; a reformed activist looking to right wrongs done in the past; and a free-spirited yet loyal daredevil who never gave up even in the worst of odds.

"Ruby Team saved our lives, both personally and collectively. When things were at their darkest, they were the ones who said 'Fuck that, we aren't dying here. Let's go.' Regardless of the anecdotes, the stories, and the varying pieces of news reporting from all sides of the conflict, it is undeniable that if it weren't for the efforts of Ruby Team, there may very well not be a Remnant left to live on.

Yet, despite their impact, once the fires were extinguished and cities were rebuilt, nary a trace of the The Four Beacons could be found. I personally would not blame them; they've more than earned their peace and quiet.

I just hope that their rest is not disturbed by another conflict.

Yeah, back on my crossover bullshit. Working on a whole series of skins of different aircraft and squadrons as "what if's" - Namely, what if RWBY was set in a world like Ace Combat.

Squadrons tend to follow matching paint schemes, and I also didn't want to give Ruby and her team a uber-distinctive and unoriginal livery like full black and red or something like that. I've kinda pulled inspiration from different Ace Combat titles and liveries of primary and secondary characters. It may not be visible on the renders above, but each aircraft has a personal touch, apart from the character's respective emblems located behind the cockpit:

Ruby: cursive "Crescent Rose" in red written below the cockpit in front of the right intake.

Weiss: a red arrowhead/dagger shape representative of her scar.

Blake: has the two lines seen on Gambol Shroud running along the spine of her aircraft from nosecone to tailfin

Yang: pin-up girl silhouette with the words "Ember Celica" flanking on either side, lower left nose in front of the intake.

I have an entire word doc with an order of battle drafted up, assigning each team of students and hunters to squadrons from specific air forces. I may post this up later if there's significant interest...

Anyway, thanks for getting to this point. Long post and different from the usual programming. Still fun to do this though!

Moonlight streamed through the five-pointed window, casting half of the bedroom in cool silver-white light, while the other half was painted a striking gold by the softly roaring fire in the hearth. A thick, downy comforter of navy blue covered the massive bed, big enough to share with space to spare–but they had an inkling that space would be unnecessary, finding herself carefully entwined in Belladonna’s arms more nights than not.

Something else caught her eye, the sheen of polished wood and the glint of steel strings stirring a sense of excitement in her chest. Delilah tapped Belladonna’s shoulder–careful not to think too hard about the tenderness of her own gesture, when most would receive a rough but affectionate elbow instead–and pointed out the guitar.

Belladonna followed the gesture, a far too gentle smile gracing their scaley face.

“You, uh,” Delilah murmured, her mouth suddenly dry and full of cotton. “You wanna play a song?”

The dragonborn didn’t pause a moment, an affectionate chuff escaping their chest.

Delilah scrambled onto the bed, eyes sparkling with excitement and completely glued to the burly cleric before her. Belladonna picked up the guitar, pulled something–a pick, she realized–from the bag, and then rested in the lounge chair, adjusting until the instrument was held comfortably in their grip. Delilah’s breath caught in her throat as she waited for Belladonna to strum a few notes before tuning the guitar.

Belladonna’s shoulders shook as she took a deep breath. Delilah swore for a moment that there were tears glittering in those sapphire eyes she adored, and for a moment, a pang of regret hit her square in the chest–but Belladonna quickly blinked the tears away and their trembling hand steadied–

And then she began to play.
