She keeps it in mind, to not get on Velvet's bad side. After all, even though she's laidback now, Onii-chan still thinks of her as angry and contradictory and vengeful. First impressions go a long way, Edna thinks. 

❛  I wouldn't mind that,  ❜ she replies, smiling gently. While she and Silva only talked a few times, she can tell he is fond of her brother. That makes sense, since her brother named him and all. That makes Edna a god-aunt, right? She never thought she'd be an aunt at all, honestly. Feels weird, but maybe she doesn't mind if if it's for Silva. The poor boy could use more people in his life, and she knows Onii-chan is fond of him too.

( Also, would this mean Silva is also technically family? She doesn't know what it's like to have a family bigger than a brother and a sister. )

The longer she listens, the more nonsensical it sounds. Why was there a portal anyway that leads to an underground tunnel? She didn't even know there are underground tunnels here in Spring Rise, but here they are, her listening to him talk about underground tunnels. Still, he looks very happy, so she says, ❛  I'm sure you'll get to explore them all soon. If anything, you're too overzealous when it comes to your passions.  ❜ ( And Alvin told her some stories. Still wild to hear them. She's still trying to let them sink in. First underground tunnels, and then being stranded? Wild. ) 

Onii-chan mentions another incident last year, and she briefly wonders how many incidents he's went through just even during a week. He has enough incidents to fill up a book. This particular incident in question, though, seems to be related to water, and she sighs. ❛  You should really bring a floatie next time you go fishing. The curse will probably pop it, but at least you can still use it for a bit. Better than nothing.  ❜ 

When they approach the inn door, she slides it open and notices a lack of silver hair in the lobby. Silva said he typically sweeps here for most of his day, so maybe he's tending to a different room right now? ❛  I still don't know how your curse is gone, but we shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.  ❜ If she can't use her powers here in Spring Rise, then that means Phoenix can't either, right? She forgot about that. For all she knows, the miracle could be due to his mask. She doesn't know. Her mask seems to be just a regular, ugly one. ❛  So, let's see if your newfound good luck can lead us to the kitchen.  ❜

To be fair, Edna hadn't really seen Velvet in action if Eizen had to guess. They could have just wound up talking about this and that. Maybe a fair bit about him, considering they both knew him, but he felt a little bit conceited for even considering it.

"Could be the festival atmosphere making her more relaxed. She doesn't have to focus on her mission as much here," he pointed out. With no sign of Artorius or Innominat here, the Lord of Calamity didn't need to stay on her toes. At least, that was how Eizen viewed it. He listened attentively as she spoke of Silva, too. His smile returned.

"I'll have to visit him soon, then," he said. "It's been a while since we last saw each other. Maybe the three of us could do something together. While the curse is gone." He still had no idea how long the curse would be gone. That didn't mean they couldn't make potential plans, should it continue to be put on mute. He hoped it did. After all that time of dealing with it, Eizen wanted to spend as much time as he could not just with Edna, but also with the rest of his companions.

Truth be told, though, he was glad that he was okay in the end after what had happened the previous year. Maybe it was a good thing he didn't remember a lot about what had happened to make him possessed in the first place. Her comments earned a soft laugh as they approached the inn.

"Aye... it is a miracle, at this point," he agreed. "The worst the Reaper's Curse put me through until today was getting pulled through one of the portals that led to the underground tunnels in the first place. That did end up working out, though. I haven't had as much time to explore them in full, but I've found a few of them." He and Alvin needed to hash out some time to actually explore. Maybe even make a fort and stock it with snacks. Little boy type activities the two of them still would enjoy, even though they were grown. Ridiculous sounding, perhaps, but still fun.

"Actually... there was one other incident last year," he admitted. "Not as high up as getting possessed. ...Maybe a little humiliating, at least to a degree." But maybe that was just because he was thinking about it again. Oh well. He'd already opened his mouth. No sense in keeping her in the dark.

"Friend of mine and I went fishing after all the possession things happened. It was going well, but when I thought I'd caught a huge fish I ended up getting pulled off the pier we were on and got pulled into the water. Needless to say, I had to hold onto the pier for dear life while my friend got me out," he said. Yeah... just another bit of proof that a pirate who couldn't swim wasn't always funny. But again, he'd ended up okay.

"Anything that could happen this year can't be as bad as all that. And with the Reaper's Curse being gone now, I'd say things are looking up."
