i rewatched ep 497 from shippuden and MAN i love gaanaru somuch (nobody is surprised)

if i was naruto and i saw gaara looking down, saying "naruto is getting married huh?" in THAT VOICE i would just cry on the floor forever and never recover so thank the gods i'm not naruto

i really love this episode, i would've loved it if we had more gaara-focused eps like this. not only because i'm pathetic about gaara/naruto but bc seeing him interact with other characters and react to the weirdness of the konoha-gang is actually very refreshing NWNEMDM

but also yeah it's because i'm pathetic about gaara/naruto

gaara loves naruto so much i don't even DOUBT IT. platonic or not, naruto is SO LOVED by this red little thing it's UNFAIR !!!! he only wants to make him happy !!! he looks up at the sky thinking of his happiness!!!!

i'm thinking it would be INSANE if naruto himself was part of this ep. gaara asking him to show him things he likes, things that make him happy, and being so.. gloomy? and thoughtful? the whole time? and naruto doesn't really understand what this is about but is very happy to spend time with gaara anyways 😭😭 i might as well just redraw this whole episode but with naruto in it because that's just how pATHETIC they can make me!!! this is THEIR fault!!

it broke my heart into millions of pieces when i first realized the narudad #1 didn't know about his friendship with gaara but i think it's SO MUCH FUNNIER if you think that, maybe, naruto talked about gaara SO MUCH and about how cOOL he was but never once mentioned that his epic friend from suna is actually the kazekage.

imagine you're a dad and your son tells you so much about this guy he has a long distance friendship with and he's so cool and sooooo good at sand castles but then you met him and he's THE PRESIDENT. hilarious. iruka don't be a hypocrite you're married to a president too.
