I wanted to know is Jiang Naoki's grandfather or great-grandfather? Or his father?

The Clubs Royals family tree! A brief explanation, Clubs is the only patriarchal society so unlike hearts and spades the oldest inherits the throne while the daughters are overlooked. This is opposite of Diamonds which is the only Matriarchal society in the Cards world and it is inherited through daughters.

Besides Opal XXII who were also bad parents?

Mahira is a boarderline a bad mother to Mercury but is a good mother towards Adrian. She doesn’t outright abuse or hurt Mercury she just shuns him and seems to get easily irritated by him for no reason.

Dylan and Coral aren’t great with Cyan at all and can get pretty nasty especially Coral.

Naoki meihua wasn’t great to River or Meilin. He took them and raised them as royals but he made it point to make sure they knew he controlled them and just sucked.

I think that’s the limit of my bad parents. (I tried to tag the triggers so no one who is sensitive to this gets upset)

I wanted to know something about princess Meilin, although she doesn't look very important

Sadly she isn’t. But I can tell you some stuff about her but there isn’t a lot.

She is King Naoki’s oldest child and River’s older half-sister. When she was first born she lived with her mother for around three years until Naoki found out she existed and he made her and her mother live with him in the palace and accepted her as his daughter. His parents weren’t as thrilled about womanising ways so when he brought a second child from a different mother (Ruver) into their palace they gave him chaperones to stop his canoodling.

Meilin had a very good life in the palace. Even when she was Naoki’s only child no one expected her to be his heir. She was given many gifts by her father and would call her his ‘little plum’. When he became King of Clubs he arranged future partners for his children and made sure Meilin was married into the more powerful families and to their heir in fear that she would be discarded. When she is 22 she marries the Nine of Clubs. Through out her fathers rule she would be given lots of gifts, from jewellery crafted and mined in Diamonds, beautifully patterned fabrics from Hearts, the best books and libabries from Spade and he gave her three palaces of her own.

She was loved by her brother as well and when he became king he would also give her gifts (though not as big as the gifts their father gave her) until her death at the age of 72. She had four children with her husband three boys and a girl.

did king naoki ever get married also is he pacific islander

No he never married and he had several affairs only two of which gave him children, his daughter Meilin and his son and heir River. He took them in and raised them to be royals (their mother’s were present in their lives but don’t play a major role in clubs history)

And yes Naoki is a Pacific Islander! River and his mother are as well, while Meilin is only half, her other half is Arabic (like her mother)

I have a question about Eben's parents,did they already know each other when Nuo went blind?

Yes. Nuo and River had been engaged since they were 12 (? From what I can remember), all arranged by River’s father. However when Nuo became blind Naoki ended the engagement despite River’s protests since he had fallen in love with her and they had become close. River managed to avoid being married off until his fathers death were he then married Nuo
