Tosagumi caring for Sick!Saniwa (GN!Reader)

♡ To say the saniwa is taken care of while sick is an understatement. The TosaGumi boys rarely leave their side while they are very sick.

♡ Nankaitarou a practiced medical profession being the true savior with two bickering idiots by his side.

♡ "Aruji! I brought a bunch of meat for you to eat and get stronger!" "Mutsu, shut up. You're being loud and annoying!" "Hizen, Mutsunokami. Please. Our patient needs rest. Lower your voices."

♡ Nankaitarou goes the extra mile taking care of saniwa. He would take their temperature every day, make sure they take their medicine to help lower their fever, always make sure they have some tea during the day to help with the hoarse throat, and changing the ice pack on their forehead.

♡ He would probably go as far as doing blood-work to extra examine the poor saniwa but he knows that stress would not help them so he doesn't put them through that as well.

♡ Nankaitarou doesn't sleep much. He didn't before and he sure doesn't now. Very rarely does Mutsu and Hizen take over for him so he can rest.

♡ Saniwa will quickly get used to his eyes, with dark bags underneath them, staring down at them with a small smile as they exclaim; "Ah, your complexion is much better today! You will be healthy soon enough!"

♡ If they were stronger they might comment back, "Nankaitarou, you are the one that looks like they are about to faint now-"

♡ Nankaitarou kicks out the other TosaGumi boys quite often, much to them arguing about it. He really can't win. They either argue inside the room or outside in the hall for everyone to hear.

♡ With saniwa's fever being so bad, he often has to change the sheets and their clothing. Washing their skin with cool water to help clean them somehow.

♡ He tries very hard to not make them uncomfortable with these acts. Often giving them fabric to cover themselves so he just focuses on the parts of the skin they can't clean easily themselves and always turning away when they dress themselves. He only stays in the room to make sure they don't faint from the heavy fever.

♡ When they become well enough, he has the boys fetch plenty of bath scrubs and create a bubble bath for them to clean themselves and relax.

♡ He still stays in the main room just in case anything goes wrong he can rush into the bathroom but he knows they need their privacy just as much as anyone.

♡ Mutsunokami is a lovable idiot. Some say this man has never got sick because he is so carefree!

♡ So taking care of saniwa is not exactly his strength.

♡ He is always around though. Telling them stories of what is going on in the citadel. The funny stories. The stories of him causing trouble only for the saniwa to tiredly shake their head at him.

♡ He brings them movies to watch together, even if he is fully aware that they will not stay awake for the full of it. He wants them to have someone beside them and be the right-hand man if they need anything.

♡ If saniwa's fever is making them very cold, he will offer to cuddle with them since he is a heater of body heat.

♡ His arms would wrap around them as they rest their head on his chest. The soft motion of stroking the back of their head as they relax, and him faintly humming the song his previous master always used to sing. Only for their breath to steady and they can fall asleep.

♡ Mutsunokami also happens to fall asleep with them. No way is he going to move and wake them on accident!

♡ ...He may get sick after this event.

♡ Hizen is similar to Mutsunokami where he isn't too aware how to care from someone.

♡ His past life was one of a killer and a poor one at that. If someone gets sick, they have a very high chance of dying.

♡ Seeing Saniwa very sick makes him an anxious mess and the main reason he never wants to leave their side.

♡ He doesn't want to look away for a second and not catch them struggling to take their breaths.

♡ He may not know for sure what to do but he has the right spirit.

♡ Everyday they wake up, they will see a snack beside them. Only to doze off again and awake to a new pile of snacks.

♡ Where is he stealing all these??

♡ Hizen knows that food makes him happy so surely that will help healing them. They can't starve if he keeps putting snacks by them.

♡ He may steal some books as well to entertain them. Which swords lost books that day, the world may never know-

♡ Saniwa internally has to remind themselves to tell Hizen to return these items after they get better... But will he remember who he even took these from?

♡ Hizen isn't the biggest reader so it is a big mystery if he even knew what he was picking up to entertain them.

♡ Hizen has a bit of trouble reading but Saniwa asking him to read them to sleep will make him try to. Even if they grumble about it.

♡ They will hear him sounding out words and trying very hard to read out loud fluently. Although it is a bit hard to understand sometimes, it is flattering to hear them try so hard for them.

Chouson was always distant, a man you could never reach, his mind drifting off to whatever world awaited him in his next tome.

You’ve always wanted to touch him though, to see what made his mind tick – what oils his gears and makes them turn.

But alas, again and again do you find his nose buried within the fantastical worlds that awaited him within the bound spines of leather and parchment. You almost wanted to burn the library down, you won’t of course, and it would be a crime against humanity itself. “Did you need something?”

Your body jolts, a scream tearing itself from your mouth – clamping your hands over your lips, eyes wide. The bespectacled man quirks a brow from behind his latest novel, and you can see the corners of a smirk dancing upon his expression.

“This is a library, master, you must be quiet.” His chuckle could be heard throughout the quiet cranny of the library. “What are you doing?” “N-Nothing!” you gasp out, cheeks aflame, beginning to back away from the glasses-wielding man. “I-I just…wanted to come here. Why? Am I not allowed?” in your own citadel?!

Nankaitarou only lets out a small chuckle, his coat cloaking his shoulders, shielding him from the air conditioner’s oh so frigid harshness. He slightly opens his arms, opening a space up under his jacket. “Would you like to join me?”

Your sputter and stutter an answer, heart pounding in your chest. “C-Can I?”

“Of course.” Chouson answers, a mirthful smile to his face. “I do appreciate your company.” Slowly does you slide beside him, right under the warmth and glance down at the pages he had been reading, your brows furrowing as you attempted to make heads or tails of it.

But why would such a thing matter, when such a beautiful man is in your reach, right now? Right then and there?

♡ best big brothers!!!

♡ Mutsu naturally acts like the teasing big brother to the citadel! Especially to Hizen. So a kid saniwa? Actual dream.

♡ He will be running around the citadel with them on his shoulders as they prank the other swords together and cause mischief.

♡ He is not the best role model... BUT THE FUN BROTHER!!

♡ Meanwhile Hizen is chasing after the two, trying to stop Mutsu from corrupting the poor saniwa with his antics.

♡ Hizen avoids touching Child!Saniwa since he is a killer sword and he feels like his hands are forever dirty. Hands like his should never touch anyone, really.

♡ But saniwa grasp his hand anyway when walking ಥ_ಥ

♡ The first time they ever did that, he pulled away on reflex with a scowl on his face. Only to realize it was the saniwa who was now tearing up...

♡ Panicked, Hizen quickly got on his knees and did the hover hands around them while internally going "WHAT I DO WHAT I DO-"

♡ Only to softly hug them and only then did the saniwa stop.

♡ Hizen's body was so tense and uncomfortable from touching someone but saniwa hugged back tightly that he slowly began to relax. Muttering a soft "sorry-" to them.

♡ Nankaitarou is the teacher to the saniwa. He is the one that teaches them all the schooling subjects they are suppose to not (and some they are too young to understand but he goes on a tangent)

♡ To practice their words, they read to Hizen at night!! And it helps Hizen also get better at reading <3

♡ Nankaitarou plays with the saniwa sometimes but most time busy in his lab.

♡ But saniwa can be his little helper! He doesn't let them touch anything dangerous but will ask them to go get something he needs, and sets them on a mission.

♡ The amount of praise they get when they do, it could light the whole room with the brightness of their smile!!!

♡ Candy as a reward, of course!

♡ Most times, saniwa will just sit on the floor while Nankaitarou works and color in their book.

♡ Family movie nights become a thing. Because Mutsu is in love with the new age of technology!

♡ Mutsu is sadly a talker during the movies though... And Hizen HATES it.

♡ Petty little squabbles between the two happen a lot. But instantly stops when saniwa demands "NO FIGHTING >:("

♡ Nankaitarou just has a proud smile throughout it. At least they listen to saniwa more than him.

♡ Also family pictures!!!

♡ Mutsu is always taking pictures of the saniwa and making the whole squad get in the pictures.

♡ Any little accomplishment saniwa achieves, picture and its going on the wall.

♡ Summer time is the most fun because Mutsu brings out the water guns and it's an all out war through the whole citadel.

♡ It's his own way to teach saniwa safety when wielding even a toy gun because if they show interest in it in the future, he wants to make sure they are safe at all times.

♡ They grow closer as group when Child!Saniwa enters the picture. Mutsu and Hizen end up seeing eye to eye more because they want have a common goal of raising saniwa right and being a family.

♡ Nankaitarou loves walking into the play room after he is done in the lab to see the three of them passed out together. Warms his heart to see his favorite people being so happy together.

Tosagumi Hanging out with F!Reader

♡  Out of the whole group, Chouson and Hizen would be the two that hangs out the most together. Hizen feels the most comfortable with Sensei since he doesn’t feel like he needs to talk or make effort to go out of his way to interact with him.

♡  Often times they will be found in Chouson’s room as he is researching or inventing something. Hizen comfortably in a warm spot while he is snacking one something and reading.

♡  They would gladly welcome Saniwa to join them as long as she doesn’t make much noise and just enjoys being in the same room as the two. Little conversation here and there is always nice for them.

♡  Mutsunokami is not allowed in their quiet time though. He just can’t sit still long and wants to talk the whole time while he is there. 

♡  Chouson will also go on a whole lecture after he finally figures out something that he was stuck on. Hizen doesn’t really pay much attention other than little nods, not exactly understanding what Sensei is talking about.

♡  If she shows interest in what he is talking about, you know Chouson will get so excited and ramble off her ear before going back to his work.

♡  Mutsunokami loves hanging out with them as a group. He is also aware that they tend to like quiet spaces more than him so he tries to give them their room to recharge before he goes bursting into Chouson’s room trying to drag everyone out for something to do.

♡  Most times he gets them to follow along with his wild requests by getting under Hizen’s skin a little where his competitive side comes out. 

♡  Sure enough, Chouson follows soon after to watch them do their activity and see if he can pull any information out to help with his inventions. 

♡  Mutsunokami would most likely like spending time with the Saniwa the most when he can only hang out with one person. She is someone he feels very comfortable around and can talk her ear off.

♡  Will even offer to teach her how to use a gun if she wants to learn!

♡  Hanging out with the group will consist of Mutsunokami always wanting to end the day with a group picture so he can hang it up in his room to remember forever. 

♡  As well as plenty of yelling from Hizen over Mutsunokami’s antics (yet always following along).

Nikkou Ichimonji,  Nankaitarou Chouson, and Ookurikara Relationship Headcanons (GN Reader)

♡ Nikkou is business and logic first over everything else. He has a hard to understanding emotion and tries empathetic but it seems like he doesn't truly understand. He is a sword to be used in battle and to listen to orders from aruji and Sanchoumou. Emotions are very disconnected from him as a person. Especially romantic emotions.

♡ Nikkou will instantly tense up when he is put in a situation where emotions are high. If you are heart broken about something, he will try to solve it with logic and not truly understand that the situation doesn't need to be solve and that you are hurting emotionally. He tries to understand and will listen to you vent but that is all he really can do for you. He may put a hand on your shoulder in his attempt to comfort you but that is as much as does.

♡ This may seem like he is a robotic person but he really isn't. He just doesn't /understand/. He wants to understand though! He is a protective and loving person all things considered. He has people (Norimune, Sanchoumou, Nansen, Hasebe, Nihongou, Atsushi, Sayo, Hakata, and you) who he knows are special to him and wants nothing more to protect them. It is something he knows for a fact but understanding the complicated emotions connected to all of them is what he doesn't completely understand.

♡ Through the struggle of understanding emotions and breaking down the wall to let himself learn and feel, he is caring and thoughtful person. He may not know what to say or what to do but he cares and will try to listen. If you say you aren't feeling well because mentally you aren't doing well, he will come back later with some stomach meds and tea for you. He tries to help.

♡ It will take a while but eventually he will start to open up and try to do more romantic gestures to show you he wants to open his heart to you. Though you may think he is just trying to be caring and not actually flirt with you. You will know when one night he walks you back to your room and says goodnight with a soft forehead kiss.

♡ He will tense up at any affection you give him because like stated before, he doesn't completely understand and never received such affection in his life. As he slowly gets used to it, you will feel him melt in your grasp and follow your movements. He is not one for words when it comes to expressing his love. Rather he will show you he cares through actions or slight physical affection (holding your hand, soft kisses on the forehead/cheek).

♡ Not a fan of pda (other than hand holding) but surprisingly likes snuggling in your room.

♡ Nikkou is the big spoon, he will not give it up. He feels like that is the most protective position and makes him feel like he is one of your wings to protect you and lift you up.

♡ Nikkou has a special way in showing he wants attention. He will hold your hand underneath the table and rub his thumb over your knuckles. It is his way to say that he is feeling a little needy for affection and willing to try things that he would normally be uncomfortable doing.

♡ Nikkou is also like a mother hen at times. He wants to show he cares but doesn't know exactly how. So expect him nagging you; "Have you eaten?", "How much have you slept?", "Are you well enough to work?", "Have you drank plenty of water?", etc. He worries and cares about you in his own way. Just remember that if you ever get a little annoyed by his constant questions.

♡ Speaking of that, if he ever does something you do not like; Tell him right away. He might not pick up that he is going overboard and needs you to tell him. He won't be angry but will stop. He understands that sometimes he goes too far. Also if you are ever hurt emotionally, you have to explain how you are feeling inside or else he will not get it and be wary around you because he doesn't know how to help or if he would hurt you if he said/did the wrong thing. He truly cares for you but it's still hard for him to completely understand feelings and how emotions can really impact someone.

♡ Unlike the other two, Chouson is pretty expressive. So when I say you are Chouson's favorite person, you know. He always runs to you when he finishes a new invention, medicine, or just to geek out about something new he has learned. It doesn't matter what time it is, he runs to you first. Sometimes... to your displeasure. He gets so excited that he can't even see that it is 3am in the morning and he just woke you up from your deep slumber.

♡ Although Chouson is pretty friendly with all the other swords, you never see him hanging out with them. He is more focused in his own work rather than making friends with everyone. Which also means that he doesn't pick up social cues as well as some others. If he ever wanted to talk about anything, he would go to you.

♡ There hasn't been many in his life that showed any interest in his inventions or ideas. When you express interest and ask him to tell you more, he knew you would special and instantly started to grow attached to you. Prepare for him to talk your ear off, there is so much he wants to talk about and all the ideas he ever had. He has a book filled with many hypothesis and invention ideas. You will be hearing 1/3 by the time he lets you go so you can sleep.

♡ Every morning he is excited to see you because he knows that you truly care about him and what he thinks. It is a new feeling and he gets addicted by the first time you ever said "tell me more."

♡ Chouson does a lot of research on humans to understand them better because he wants to understand you better! He less cares about becoming more human himself. You are his main focus in that research. As soon as he learns about dating and what it means, he goes to you right away to ask you out. At this point, he isn't actually sure if he has romantic feelings for you but he knows you are special to him and wants to keep you close. As well as trying to be a loving boyfriend!

♡ He tries really hard to be a good boyfriend but he is clueless. Don't be shy to give him tips! You will have to guide him a little. Also expect him to read very cheesy romantic novels to understand dating more... Expect very cheesy pickup lines too. ...He is trying.

♡ Over the course of dating, he does develop romantic feelings for you! He probably had them from the start but couldn't recognize his own emotions since he relies so hard on logic rather than emotion. He knows he wouldn't want to do any of this dating stuff with anyone other than you.

♡ If something bothers him or he gets too excited, he will start pacing around the room talking at a speed that you almost can't understand. Lots of rambling too as he gets onto many topics. Drag him over to sit down and he will slowly calm down. His eyes just staring at you with adoration.

♡ His mood changes a lot but being around you helps him keep it in a happy state.

♡ Chouson adores tenderness. He will often overwork himself because he will be so invested in what he is doing. His muscles will be all tense and there will be dark bags under his eyes when he finally adventures into bed. Be sure to give him a small massage and kiss his face. He will surely have a large smile on his face as he gets comfortable and embrace you for the night.

♡ When he is focused, it is hard to get his attention and talk to him. So show it in silent ways how you love him. Get him food, and clothes he can change into. Sometimes it is okay to be a little pushy with him as well when he is pushing himself too far and not getting enough sleep. He may be a little grumpy with you at first but he will understand by the time his head hits the pillow and he falls asleep in an instant.

♡ Ookurikara is not the type of person who looks for relationships. He has an intense fear of getting close to someone and then losing them. It is why he constantly pushes people away and stays by himself. Can't get hurt if no one is close to you.

♡ When he began to develop a crush on you, he was even more distant than before (you didn't even know it was possible). He would cancel any plans that involved you, walked away the moment you sat down next to him, refuse to look you in the eye, and if someone asked him to give you something, he would pass it over to Mitsutada or Sadamune.

♡ It was your kindness and persistence that made him fall for you. You always went out of your way to help the sword that many would shy away from due to his resistance to all of them. You always offered an ear to listen to any concerns he may have, even if he never made face of any problems that may be bugging him under his skin.

♡ He kept pushing you away and tried to cause so much distance that you would hate him or just forget about him. However you stayed... And inside, he was melting.

♡ There has been many times where he would envision holding you and showing you affection only for it to be followed by him holding your wounded body on the battle field. Ookurikara is a sword of war... He knows far too well how fragile life can be.

♡ Most likely, you will have to confess to him first and ask him out. There is no way that Ookurikara will be honest about his feelings unless you make the first move. Even then, he will reply very shortly with "If that is what you want".

♡ Huge fear of abandonment. He will never vocally say it but you will need to reassure him that you would never leave him and that you are safe. Nightmares are a common thing with him after he grows attached to you. He knows what it feels to hold someone close to his heart... And it's terrifying that it can be ripped away so easily.

♡ When he is in a good mood, expect him to have his fingers linger on you. Brushing some hair out of your hair? it stays a little longer than needed. His golden eyes staring down at yours. His hand brushing against yours as you two walk side by side. Behind close doors, he may even pretend he fell asleep just so he could rest his head on your shoulder and feel you right there next to him.

♡ He will get frustrated and upset when you tease him or don't give him what he wants but when it comes to teasing you? Surprising... Rather good at it. He will lean in close to your face but quickly pull away and have a book in his hand, pretending like that was what he was reaching for the whole time. Ookurikara will make you say that you want to kiss him or hold his hand before he would even attempt it. If you tease him, he will make you suffer for it.

♡ Ookurikara.. LOVES sweets. He doesn't look like it but candy and pastries are his favorite. Kashuu and Mitsutada are the only two know of this face. Let's just say, Ookurikara comes back very grumpy when Kashuu teases him over not giving him sweets. Because he can't vocally say he wants them. He has an image to uphold! Please be sure to give him sweets and he will be so happy. May not smile but if he does, it will be small and short.

♡ "You bought too much. Eat them with me or else they will go bad."

♡ Favorite cuddling position is being the big spoon and holding you tight throughout the night. You can't get stolen away if he makes sure you are safe within his arms. It is also the position that nightmares don't happen in so it works out!

♡ When he has nightmares, he will suddenly jolt up in cold sweat. His chest rising and falling with heavy breaths, as if he just got done running for hours. His eyes will be lost in the dark shadows of the room. It's best to gentle hold him in those moments. Don't be scared if he suddenly flinches when you first touch him. He is still lost in his own thoughts at that time. As soon as Ookurikara looks over and sees you, well and untouched. He calms down. His head will slowly hang over and rest on your shoulder. No words spoken. Gently caress his hair and give him soothing words.

♡ "Don't you dare get hurt and go somewhere I can't follow."

Self-Sacrificing Saniwa w/ Akashi and Kikkou (GN Reader)

♡  The saniwa was not someone who would normally go on the field with their swords... but it was another story when it was the last chance at saving history.

♡   The first mission failed. Swords returned in the citadel just before indubitable doom. They had their lives... Barely. It took days for the Saniwa, Yagen, Hakusan, and Chouson to all work together to stable their mortal form and to make sure their blades didn't break.

♡  Yet another team set out to Battle of Nagashino to succeed this time. The Saniwa being a part of it.

♡  Akashi was the leader and giving all the orders. He was the most powerful sword in the citadel, even if he masked this fact with his lazy persona. He knew when he had to act serious and get work done. 

♡  Gun fire, screaming, and the heavy rain were the only thing could be heard. You had to stress your ears to hear the orders that were given by Akashi, even though he was raising his voice on the battle field. 

♡   Kuwana Gou,  Maeda Toushirou,  Izuminokami Kanesada,  Ichigo Hitofuri, and  Nankaitarou Chouson accompanied Akashi and the saniwa on the mission. Chouson, the lead strategist and someone to help you patch up the swords that ended up getting hurt on the field. 

♡  The HRA had already shown their faces on the battle field trying to tamper with history. The swords were all in intense fights with the HRA, trying to keep them away from the main battle and you.

♡  Akashi was the last force to stop them from getting to you and messing with the battle that changed a good part of history. Things were not going as planned....

♡  Most of the boys were hurt and Akashi could not hold off the wave of them going past the team. 

♡   “Aruji-han.” He would huff as he held his blade against one of the HRA Uchigatana. “I have one last order just for you.”

♡  Even before he said anything, he flashed his lazy grin at you. A smile that normally made you feel warm inside now made your heart ache. 

♡   “Let your swords protect you until the end and get out of here safely, ya?” A quick slice made the Uchigatana evaporate in black smoke as Akashi’s persona faded and you could clearly see how worn out he had become. He was bleeding all over due to him putting his all out there to protect you and the mission in front of him.

♡  So exhausted that he barely had a chance to see feel the Yari HRA lunging to pierce the nearly broken sword. Akashi’s hand shook as he swung his body to try to block the attack. However... There was one thing that was faster than the strongest sword in the citadel.

♡  You had rushed in front of him and blocked the attack for your forearm. Pain rushed through your whole body as blood splattered across the ground and dripped down your arm. The deep wound making you feel light-headed already.

♡  Images of all the swords on this mission flashed before your eyes... All nearly broken. 

♡  As the Yari pressed down on your arm, your muscle and bone barely holding together from the strength of this supernatural being... You knew the team was going to die if you didn’t use your last-ditch option.

♡  Your free arm reached for your neck, ripping off the pendant that hung loosely there. A shaky smile turned to the sword behind you who stood there stunned at how fast everything just happened before him.

♡   “I’m sorry. I can’t follow your last order.” You whimpered through the pain as you crushed the glass pendant in your hand. Light emerging and a blast of energy throwing all the HRA enemies back. All the swords slowly having cherry blossoms appearing from their mortal forms as the team and you were forced to teleport back to the citadel. The last of your magical power used up to save your boys from the grips of death.

♡  The citadel in chaos as the team came back to find everyone in critical condition, including their lovely saniwa who was in the worst shape of all. 

♡  And the worst of all, they were unconscious and not showing any signs of waking up anytime soon.

♡  Weeks went by before any indication of life appeared. Slow cues that why may awaken soon came as twitched in the finger and toes. Eye movements behind the eyelids. 

♡  Akashi was there to witness all of them. When they weren’t surrounded by the medical trained swords taking care of them and checking their vitals, Akashi was by their sides talking to them to try to get them to wake up. That is when the signs appeared that they also wished to wake up. 

♡   “Aruji-han, I know very well how amazing sleep is,” A soft break in his voice appeared before your ears as sobs came out of his mouth and warm tears hit your hand, “but it’s time to wake up... I’m so sorry...”

♡  Another week went pass before their eyes finally fluttered open. They were laid up in a bed with tubes everywhere and monitors that was tracking their source of life. Their  arm wrapped up to their elbow and hung up so the sleeping body could not cause damage to the already broken bone. As soon as the screen showed consciousness, Hakusan and Yagen rushed in the room.

♡  However that was not the first sword you saw. As you tilted your head, you saw a very pale sword. His mouth agape. His eyes red and dark bags hung under them to show that he didn’t see much sleep.

♡   “Aruji-han?” He wished to reach out and touch you to make sure that what he was seeing was real and not an illusion from the 20 minutes of sleep he gathered from dozing off he got in that day, but he was unable to because that is when the two other swords appears and made him leave the room.

♡  Yagen and Hakusan stayed with you for what felt like hours. They were checking over anything and asking you everything they could. 

♡  When other swords could finally see their beloved saniwa again, Akashi was the first one appeared. This time, he looked more clean. He was bathed, his hair was no longer sticking all over and his eyes looked a little more normal. The bags remained under them. 

♡  His brows were downcast as he stood before your bed. 

♡   “Aruji-han... Was this a test? Do you believe I didn’t care about you enough so you had to test me with this ridiculous quest to get yourself hurt for me? Because it is foolish and I-” A sudden bit of the lip stopped his words as his golden eyes looked at the floor. “I was worried.  Hotarumaru and Aizen kept asking me about you constantly and I didn’t know what to say. They wanted to see you so badly but I had to be the villain and say no because I couldn’t let them see you like this... Don’t ever do that again. I don’t want them to hate me because of it.”

♡  His hand reached out to touch your cheek but stopped midway as if sudden fear overtook him. “... This is probably a dream, huh? I finally lost it and passed out and this isn’t even real...”

♡   “It’s real.” You choked out. Your voice hoarse from lack of use, “I’m sorry Akashi. I couldn’t let to see you all break when...” A rough cough erupting through you as you pushed yourself to talk.

♡  That is when Akashi rushed forward, laying a hand on you and supporting you.

♡   “When... I could do something about it.”

♡    A weak smile appeared on his chapped lips, “Idiot Aruji... Don’t ever do that again or you will really piss me off. But... I guess I should have talked to you about the plan more and trusted you more... I’m sorry.” He gently lifted your weak hand and kissed your fingers softly that you almost didn’t feel it.

♡   “No more scaring us like that though. I couldn’t sleep because of you. You have to repay me with some bedtime stories after you get better, no ifs, ands, or buts.”

♡  It was your turn to give a soft laugh, “I will get better soon then.”

♡  The mission was quite simple. Head to the Siege of Kanegasaki and claim something that was accidentally left in the past. It was so simple. Not even an HRA aura. Something that was an in and out task.

♡  However, nothing ever seemed to go the easy way.

♡  The team was Norimune, you, and Kikkou (because he was feeling clingy to you today and begged to come along). 

♡  As soon as the three teleported in, things felt off. It appeared that the siege was going as planned but... there was something there that made the two swords uncomfortable and you feeling slightly sick. 

♡  They brushed it off. They just had to grab Omamori charm left on the stairs of the castle, they could come back after with a larger team to check out the energy with those who were more equipped to do so. 

♡  Kikkou was the first to spot the tiny blue charm on the stairs. “Goshujin-sama, I did good, right? Don’t a deserve a reward... maybe-” He voice called over to you as he leaned over to pick up the charm. 

♡  The energy around the group seemed to spike to the darker side as they could see a vibrant blue not too far off. Kebiishi.

♡  It seemed like the group of three weren’t the only group that decided to come to this time in history. Most likely, the HRA appeared before them and try to change the outcome but the Kebiishi abolished them before they could. Now the last thing they had to get rid of.... was your team.

♡  The Kebiishi Ootachi wasted no time to rush forward to end the one on the stairs who was in the middle of doing something to react as fast as he wished.

♡  Luckily there was a sage with a powerful shield that could rush forward just before the swing came down. You quickly pushed Kikkou back as you put up your golden shield in front of the two. 

♡  “Goshujin-sama...” He laid on the ground and looked up at you with a tender look in his eyes. However he knew that this was no time for such daydreams about his cherished master. 

♡  The two swords got into their fighting stances as you held off the Ootachi before you. The Kebiishi knew that you were not just another sword and more valuable compared to others, locking his target on you. 

♡  As soon as he knew the one he wish to destroy first, his blade’s force began to strength by ten-fold. So quickly that you barely had time to react that your shield shattered before you, golden dust filling the air with blood, as their blade cut through the shield and your shoulder. 

♡  A piercing and chilling scream left you in a second notice. It didn’t take Norimune and Kikkou a second longer to dash forward to deal with the single Kebiishi before you. Kikkou’s demeanor changed from a lovable person who just wanted their master’s attention and love, to a sinister being. 

♡  His blade was quick, cutting down at any vital part of the Kebiishi. He wanted this thing to feel all the pain he could. Not caring for any blows that the Ootachi tried to strike him with. 

♡  Norimune might act like an old man who was oblivious what was going on around him most times, but he knew that he shouldn’t get in the way of Kikkou now. Instead coming to your side and taking off his red cloth, wrapping it around your shoulder and applying pressure to stop the bleeding the best he could.

���  Once Kikkou decided that the Kebiishi was no longer any fun to torment, he struck his blade down on it’s neck vertically. A disturbing smile as he watched it disappear before him in smoke. 

♡  The dark presence fading as quickly as the smoke as he rushed over to your side, “Aruji!” He cupped your face as he looked over your body. Without a second thought, he picked you up bridal style and told Norimune to call forth the portal to get back to the citadel. 

♡  The two spoke soft words of “Don’t worry” “You will be okay” “We got you”. Before the adrenaline finally wore off and your eyes felt heavy as you rested your head against Kikkou’s chest. His white suit now dyed red.

♡  When you awoke again, you found yourself in your room with Kikkou hovering over you, gently stroking your head with a worried expression.

♡  Right until he saw your eyes open. A gasp left him as tears overflowed and he embraced you. “Aruji... How could you! I am the one that is supposed to be punished instead of you! Don’t be taking my place. I know you are the master in this relationship but I’m giving you an order now. Never do that again!”

♡  You couldn’t help but laugh out of pain but also endearment at your quirky sword. The both of them holding each other’s faces, staring at each other.

♡   “Master... You were only asleep for a few hours but I missed you so much. This time, let me do all the work and take care of you, alright?”
