hey not to be rude, your characters are yours, but kinda sad that you've changed anjali's and Christina's cast to someone fairer...
No! I'm sorry to hear that!
I do apologize for Cristina. I had to pick someone in a rush when I was doing the family tree and I haven't put a lot of thought into it since she is a small character in the story and I don't really have to visualize her much. An alternative casting: Eva Mendes 😍
Anjali's casting, however, is something I really like. Yes, Anjali does have dark skin. But when I cast my characters (the main ones), I try to pick people who not only physically look like the character, but also give off their 'vibes', so it's easier for me to visualize.
I know younger Anjali (Simone Ashley) had darker skin. But I didn't cast her only because she has dark skin, but i cast her because she is from South India and has the Anjali vibes. It's the same for Radika Apte (who is also from South India and has Anjali vibes). I loved her in Sacred Games and Lust Stories <3
One of my initial castings for Anjali was Nandita Das (who is stunning!!!!) who physically looks like Anjali but it was very hard for me visualize her when I wrote Anjali's scenes since she is a little older. I think she would be perfect for Anjali when she is in her 50s-60s ;)
But having said all of this, always feel free to have your own casting and visualizations (as long as the person is from the same race etc).
