Happy World Naked Gardening Day!

Per WNGD.org, "Gardening naked is not only a simple joy, it reminds us--even if only for those few sunkissed minutes--that we can be honest with who we are as humans and as part of this planet."

These flowers are a ground cover called Mimosa strigillosa. When I bought my house years ago a few popped up one spring. I loved them and mowed around them. I have continued to do so, along with sparing any other spring flowers so that each spring I have a beautiful menagerie of flowers, butterflies, and bumblebees. Only after the reproduction process is finished do they get mowed down until the next blossoms appear.

The Mimosa strigillosa is also called the sensitive plant as when you touch the feathered leaves they respond by curling up towards your touch. Tiny Leaf Finger Hugs! 🤗

This photo is also why I needed to climb my column and half wall last weekend while trying to activate the remote shutter! I seriously need a photographically inclined nudist friend or girlfriend!

In the front garden today planting an Olive Tree to replace an old failing Willow. Olive Trees are meant to be the tree of peace and also extends my love of Greece. World Naked Gardening Day is when people get dirty in the name of growing greens

It’s World Naked Gardening Day, the only day of the year when exposing your private bits while hoeing around the garden is celebrated internationally.

Launched back in 2005, the unofficial event happens every first Saturday of May and encourages gardeners around the world to get out in the fields, bare ass exposed to the sun, to get dirty in the name of growing things in the earth.

This year is no different, with a wide range of gardeners peeling off their clothes and hopping into the middle of flowerbeds, greenhouses, and produce-harboring patches of dirt.

And lest anyone mistake the day as an excuse for perviness, the World Naked Gardening Day website makes it clear that this is all about having clean and innocent fun with nature.

“Gardening naked is not only a simple joy, it reminds useven if only for those few sunkissed minutesthat we can be honest with who we are as humans and as part of this planet,” reads the statement on the front page of the website.

Today is World Naked Gardening day. This is me loving life picking some of the chillies in our backyard. The Naughty Corner (my new home ) just acquired some new greenery last week too! World Naked Gardening Day (WNGD) diễn ra vào ngày thứ Bảy đầu tiên của tháng 5 nhằm khuyến khích tất cả mọi người cởi bỏ xiêm y, hòa nhập với thiên nhiên và cùng thực hiện thú vui tao nhã – dọn sạch vườn.

WNGD được tiên phong bởi Mark Storey và nằm trong chuỗi những hoạt động mang tên “Sự giải thoát của cơ thể”. Những người sáng lập ra ngày hội đặc biệt không ai khác ngoài những người thích làm vườn và gắn bó với thiên nhiên.

Họ thoải mái hưởng thụ niềm vui mà “làm vườn khỏa thân” mang lại.

Gìa trẻ, lớn bé, đàn ông, phụ nữ, từng cá thể hay hội nhóm và dù bạn có đến từ một vùng quê hẻo lánh hay thành phố đầy sầm uất thì vẫn có thể tham gia vào ngày hội làm vườn khỏa thân này.

Từ đàn ông…

…cho đến phụ nữ

Hay thậm chí là trẻ em đều rất hào hứng hường ứng phong trào này.

Từng hộ gia đình có thể cùng nhau nhổ cỏ trong sân vườn sau nhà. Những cá thể thích phượt vẫn có thể gieo mầm loại cây mà họ yêu thích trên đoạn đường mà họ đi qua. Hoặc từng nhóm bạn bè có thể cởi bỏ những bộ quần áo thường ngày, đến những công viên công cộng và giúp ích cho cộng đồng bằng cách nhổ cỏ dại, tỉa cành hay ươm những mầm sống mới tạo bóng mát cho công viên.

Nghe có vẻ thú vị đúng không nào? Chưa bao giờ chúng ta có thể cảm nhận thật rõ tình đoàn kết vì cộng đồng đến thế. Hơn nữa, khỏa thân giúp cơ thể của bạn nhẹ nhàng hơn trông thấy, bạn không cần khoác trên người chiếc áo sơ mi dày cộm kia hay chiếc quần jeans chật chội. Khỏa thân giữa làn gió nhẹ, cảm nhận từng tia nắng len lỏi khắp người khiến bạn thêm yêu cơ thể mình hơn và tinh thần cũng lạc quan hơn rất nhiều.

Thế nhưng, câu hỏi đặt ra rằng: “Mặc quần áo thì vẫn có thể cống hiến, làm đẹp cho xã hội mà. Sao lại phải khỏa thân để làm vườn chứ?”. Vâng! Lí do đầu tiên không gì khác ngoài niềm vui. Hơn nữa, ngoài bơi lội thì làm vườn được xem là một trong những hoạt động mà mọi người đều cho rằng “có khỏa thân thì cũng không sao”. Không chỉ có thế, con người cần sống và hòa nhập với thiên nhiên, môi trường xung quanh để hướng đến một cuộc sống lành mạnh hơn.

Thật ra mà nói thì làm vườn khỏa thân không chỉ đơn giản mang đến niềm vui mà nó còn nhắc nhở mỗi chúng ta là một phần tử của hành tinh này và cần hòa hợp nhiều hơn nữa với Mẹ thiên nhiên. Và năm nay, ngày này diễn ra vào thứ 7, ngày 7/5, tất cả công dân trên khắp thế giới sẽ có cơ hội cởi bỏ xiêm y mà không sợ người khác chỉ trích.

Họ có thể làm vườn một mình, với gia đình, với câu lạc bộ hoặc bất cứ hội nhóm nào quy tụ những người có cùng sở thích làm vườn. Địa điểm có thể ở sân sau nhà, trên đường đi bộ hay công viên công cộng.
