Tumblr media
Himachal Pradesh, a northern Indian state in the Himalayas, is known for its stunning landscapes, snow-capped mountains, and rich cultural heritage. Whether it is Nau Devi Darshan or visiting Shaktipeeth, Himachal is best place to cover all.
Naina Devi Temple: Located in Bilaspur district, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Sati. According to legend, Sati's eyes fell here when Lord Vishnu dismembered her body. The temple offers panoramic views of the Gobind Sagar lake.
Jwalamukhi Temple: It is located in the Kangra district and is famous for its eternal flame. Here, one finds flames that burn through natural gas seeping from rock crevices. It is believed that Sati's tongue fell at this spot. There is no idol in this temple. Flame itself is worshiped as a manifestation of the goddess.
Chintpurni Temple: Situated in Una district, this temple is dedicated to Mata Chintpurni, believed to be where Sati's feet fell. It's one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in the state.
Bajreshwari Devi Temple: Located in Kangra, this temple is dedicated to Vajreshwari Devi. Legend says Sati's left breast fell here. The temple was rebuilt after being destroyed in the 1905 Kangra earthquake.
Chamunda Devi Temple: This temple near Dharamshala in Kangra district is dedicated to Goddess Chamunda, an avatar of Durga. While not traditionally counted among the 51 Shakti Peethas, it's still considered a powerful shrine in the Shakti tradition.

#NainaDevi #NainaDeviTemple #NainaDeviMandir #NandaSunanda #Nainital #Uttarakhand #NandaDevi #नैनादेवी #नैनादेवीमंदिर #नैनीताल @uttarakhand_tourismofficial @incredibleindia @zeenews @indiatvnews @ndtv @historytv18 @history (at Naina Devi Mandir Temple Nainital नैना देवी मंदिर) https://www.instagram.com/p/CgglDqhpUSi/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Maa Naina Devi Mandir Temple नैना देवी मंदिर, नैनीताल is considered to be one of the most revered Hindu Temples in India The name "NAINA" which means eye is derived from a temple to the goddess 'Naini Devi" built on the upper edge of the lake and was destoyed by the landslip of 1880. It was subsequently replaced by the present structure. The word "Naina" means 'Eyes' and 'Tal' means 'Lake'. The perimeter of the Naini Tal lake is of nearly 2 miles. The word Naina is synonymous with Sati's eyes. Since then, devotees started visiting this temple. Once the devotee reaches the hill top, prasad can be bought from any of the various shops or it can also one's own offerings from home. After crossing the main gate, there is a big Peepal tree on the left side. On the right side of the temple there are idols of Lord Hanuman Ji and Ganesh Ji. After reaching the main entrance of the temple, there are two statues of lions. Inside the temple, devotees have darshan of three deities. On the extreme left is Mata Kali Devi, the centre representing two Netras or eyes is Maa Naina Devi and to right side is idol of Lord Ganesh. Though the temple is named after Naina Devi (another name for Sati), the biggest social occasion here is the festival held in honour of Nanda Devi. The patron goddess of Kumaon hills and a local princess Sunanda Devi. On the northern side of the lake is built a temple dedicated to Sati and is called the Naina Devi temple. #nainitaltourism #NainaDevi #NainaDeviTemple #NainaDeviMandir #NandaSunanda #Nainital #Uttarakhand #NandaDevi #नैनादेवी #नैनादेवीमंदिर #नैनीताल #नैनादेवीमंदिरनैनीताल #उत्तराखंड (at Naina Devi Mandir Temple Nainital नैना देवी मंदिर) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcuGdS0KCU9/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
