As 1# wwdits hater, please be kind to the actors! Especially Harvey, who as a gay man probably was given the absolute chore of validating every bad decision they made, particularly regarding nandermo. Reading the interviews they didn't do at gunpoint, I can tell no one was on board with anything that happened, but even then I know I don't have to remind you they don't have any saying on how the show is written (although they most likely would have done a better job).

Like, Kristen is so clearly pissed they didn't give the Guide anything to do. Matt and Natasia wish they had more scenes together. Harvey is back on his gay fanart sharing bs and Kayvan is once again writing smut in his mind (as if they had ever stopped if they had a choice lol). They're all as mad as us, possibly more. No one could have loved this show more than the people putting their hearts into every performance and prolonging it's success for longer than the writing deserved. Let's not add salt to the wound and just assume anything weird they have to say is a contractual obligation.

I've seen a lot of negativity about the finale because the characters didn't grow or never got closure. I disagree because they actually got what they wanted at the beginning of the season.

Colin got a new friend in the monster.

Laszlo successfully created life with Colin's help and worked through his insecurity issues with Nadja.

Nadja improved her understanding of humans, and that was proven in episode 11 because she knew what Guillermo was going through and wanted to help him.

The Guide was finally accepted into the pod.

Guillermo accepted he belongs with the vampires and Nandor recognized him as an equal not only in words but in actions.

Nandor got Guillermo by his side again and did all the work himself to prove Guillermo his commitment to their equal partnership.

All of them are stupid and jerks, but that's who they are and why I watched six seasons of their shenanigans. That's why I'll keep creating adventures for them when all the haters are long gone.

How we feeling post finale?

What I really love about the wwdits finale:

Characters were all about nothing ever changes, everything stays the same.

But we, the audience, know that's not true.

Laszlo's finally succeeded in creating his monster because this time he wasn't doing it alone. He had help.

Colin may joke about his old found family, but we know that he loves his new one and is loved in return.

Nadja spent the whole ep trying to make Guillermo feel better. (to me NadjaxGuillermo will forever be the best thing of wwdits)

Nandor built a forking lair and he made sure that everything fit Guillermo's needs.

Guillermo got to choose his own destiny and fuck expectations.

Hell, the Guide is now part of the vamily as well.

So yes, some things changed. Not everything because they're still fucking immortal vampires.

And I also like the implications that maybe what we saw is not the all truth but a version of it. The one that's most suitable for the documentary.

And also the implications that, without the cameras, Nandor and Guillermo are probably doing it like rabbits.
