no, actually my least favorite thing about watching thai dramas while speaking & understanding thai... is that the dialects never match up 😭😭😭 if a character is from a non-central province, they'll have their whole family speak in northern/southern/isaan dialect while the main character, who's played by an actor from bangkok, will unexplainably not have any remnants of his native dialect when he speaks even though he was born & raised in the area and often time never even left... that shit breaks the fourth wall to me, like... why even hire an actor who doesn't fit the role fully, I don't get it 😭

lmao it's okay call me google in my spare time :'))) this is a loaded question bc fame isn't really measurable, however in terms of who has been blowing up in the past year I'd say geminifourth definitely. jeff satur is also pretty much everywhere. but the ones that have been part of the ads landscape around bangkok for years now are bright, billkin & pp. I see their faces a minimum of 5 times a day when I go outside. these bitches are filthy rich, bless them. baifern is also in every fucking ad so I think she's the most paid actress in that regard. atm bella also has been back in the public eye with the release of love destiny 2, that one movie with bright & another show. however if you describe fame by saying someone's name & being certain everyone from every generation knows them, I think we gotta still give it to yaya, nadech, etc. though overall I'd say bright is definitely the most famous thai person in terms of followers, ads, events, name recognition, etc.

I've been watching The Crown Princess and I have to say, Yaya Urassaya and Nadech Kugimiya speak English SO FRICKIN' WELL! I mean, if not for their slight accent, I wouldn't even know they weren't native speakers! It's so refreshing to hear Asian celebrities actually speak English well in roles where they should know English well.

(Usually, when I hear Asian actors speak English, I feel like when Chris O'Donnell was "speaking" Czech as Callen in NCIS:LA. I AM Czech so I can tell you, those sounds coming out of his mouth? Whatever they were, they were not Czech.)
