Nach Mera Hero (Alfasl Alsaabie)
A/N: HAPPY 1-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO MOON KNIGHT!!! Gods, I can't believe it's already been a year...where's our season 2 announcement?!
~Previously~
Diana was woken up by rapid knocks on her door. She got up from her bed, grabbed her glasses, put them on her face, and made her way across the threshold of her flat to get to the door, moving albeit sluggishly to said door. When she unlocked and opened the door, she feigned surprise at seeing Steven on the other side.
"Steven? What's wrong? Are you okay?" she asks him in concern.
Steven stares at her for a moment, taking her in.
"I...y-you...I...uh...saw you in this dream I had," he tells her.
She tilts her head, "Oh? What happened in your dream?"
She opens her door a bit wider to let Steven inside. He hesitates for a moment before stepping into her flat. She closes her door behind him and then turns around to look at the brunet. He held his hands close to his chest as he looked around her flat before meeting her gaze through her glasses.
"Um...well...I woke up i-in an unfamiliar place and in pain...then I was getting shot at so I ran...I tried to blend in, in this village...I remember seeing your face in the crowd and then...there was this man, Harrow I think he called himself...and he seemed to be judging people?...this elderly woman died...and then Harrow seemed to recognize me...he called me a mercenary which I quickly objected to...then he asked for this..."
"Stop."
Steven had been wringing his hands together as he recalled his strange dream when an unseen voice spoke up, making him pause in his recollection. Diana tilted her head to the right just a little at his sudden lull, looking at him in curiosity.
"Steven? What did this Harrow man ask you for?"
The brunet's tongue poked out from between his pink lips to wet them before quickly disappearing back inside his mouth, an action that Diana had watched subconsciously.
"Don't tell her anymore."
The unseen voice said a bit more firmly to Steven. So he hesitated for a moment and recollected his thoughts.
"I-I...I don't remember. You uh...you know what they say about dreams. The longer you're awake...the faster the dream slips away." he tells her.
Diana stares at him for a minute, not believing him for a moment but, she wasn't going to let him know that. If he believed what happened was a dream, then she would go along with it.
"Yeah, that's what they say, isn't it? And I totally get it, sometimes I try to recall dreams only for them to fade away before I can remember all the details," she says.
Her gaze trails over his body, checking for any outward injuries as it hadn't been easy for her to keep up with him during the car chase.
"But you're okay though, right? It didn't become a nightmare?" she asks in concern.
"Yeah, yeah. Woke up 'fore anythin could happen." he assures her.
"That's good, I'm glad. Nightmares are the absolute worst," she mentions.
"Yeah, they absolutely are." he agrees.
Steven starts to fiddle with his thumbs now, as silence has fallen over the both of them and he had no idea why the mystery voice didn't want him to tell his dear friend about what had happened.
"W-well...I think that...I should head back to m-my flat. Things to do." he says after a lapse.
"If you want. I don't mind if you stay, we could hang out if you want to."
"I've gotta feed Gus and since it's my day off...there's a historical show that I don't want to miss."
The dirty blonde nods in understanding and opens her door again to let Steven out, bidding him farewell as he went across the hall. He returned the goodbye and then entered his flat. She closed her door and pressed her forehead against the wood, sighing.
~~~~~~~~
Diana had decided to take a walk later that evening. She had changed her clothes, now wearing a soft gray dress and her black ankle booties. She had been walking down the street for a while before deciding to come to a standstill, basking in the moonlight and the way it felt on her skin, eyes closed as she took in the feeling.
She then feels a gush of wind blow past her, causing her to open her eyes and look around. She also felt that familiar presence once more. As she looked around for whatever the presence was, her blue-green eyes caught a recognizable figure across the street.
It was none other than Steven Grant, sitting alone at a steakhouse. It was then that she remembered why he was there but also what day it was. He had shown up late to the date he was supposed to have and yet, it looked like he was planning on sticking around.
She could see the dejected look on his face, the sad looks he was getting from surrounding patrons, and felt her heart clench in her chest. So, the dirty blonde did the only thing she could think of. She brushed invisible dust off her top before making her way across the street.
"Duckie!" she inwardly cringes at the old-timey nickname that came out of her mouth as she approached Steven.
"I'm so sorry for being late, traffic was god awful...an absolute nightmare. Eventually, I just decided to walk the rest of the way." she apologized.
Steven looked at her with wide eyes, taking in her appearance, and couldn't quite believe she was real for a moment before he snapped out of it and swiftly stood up from his seat.
"No worries darling, I'm just glad you were able to make it." he rounds the table to pull the chair out for her.
She gives him a soft smile before taking a seat and letting Steven push her in. Then he returns to his own chair and pulls up to the table. He then looks at her once more, still trying to wrap his mind around the fact that she's here right now.
"I'm so sorry, Steven. The last couple of days, I got busy and stuck in my head...I forgot to tell you that today was Sunday." she says softly.
He shakes his head slightly, "I'm still so lost...it was Thursday last I remember and suddenly it's Sunday. And Dylan told me to lose her number..."
Diana reaches across the table and laid her hand on top of his.
"Well, don't worry about it...she didn't deserve you anyway. You can do a lot better than her."
She internally cringed once again. Was she really about to do this? After a few weeks of friendship, was she really about to jeopardize that? Ever since that tour, he'd given her due to her recommendation...she had quickly developed feelings for the brunet and it was new to her. Even after being on Earth for seven thousand years, she's never felt the feelings that Steven gave her before.
Steven tilted his head as he looked at her, wondering where her mind was at. Before he could ask what she meant, the waiter came by with the steak he had ordered after getting off the phone with Dylan. Diana grabbed the man's wrist before he could set the plate down though.
"Sorry sir, but we can't have this steak."
"Diana, it's alright," Steven interjected, not wanting to waste the waiter's time anymore.
She looks at him for a moment before letting go of the waiter's wrist. He sets the plate down on the table and was about to walk away.
"Can you bring us a salad too? Thanks," she calls after him.
"You didn't have to do that. I would've been fine with the steak." Steven tells her.
"Steven, you're vegan. I'm not about to let you eat something that goes against that," she stated.
The brunet gives her a small smile, touched by her looking out for him. He was glad to have a friend like her, even if it took him a bit to get used to her outwardly signs of affection. Which reminded him...
"What did you mean, earlier? When you said that I could do better than Dylan." he wonders.
The dirty blonde paused in her movements, having taken to cutting up the steak when he asked his inquiry.
"Um...just that...well...ya know...uhh..." she trails off, not quite wanting to really put the words out there.
Seven thousand years of existence and she wasn't prepared for this moment. She's battled Deviants for a few centuries, watched her best friend walk away from her, and tried to help as her good friend had imprisoned an entire small town to make herself the perfect life, and yet admitting that she had feelings frightened her.
"Diana?" Steven calls her name gently to regain her attention.
Blue-green eyes met his dark brown ones and she takes a deep breath before slowly letting it out.
"I'm sorry...this isn't easy for me to admit aloud." she apologizes.
He gives her a soft smile, "It's okay, you take your time."
She takes a moment to think her words over before saying them aloud.
"F-for a while now...uh...well, more like since you eagerly gave me a tour...I um..." she takes a pause for breath, "I might've...started to um...I may have uh...shoot this is a lot harder than I thought...hang on I can do this...I may have startedtohavefeelingsforyouromanticfeelingsthatis" she confessed it all in one breath.
Steven had given his undivided attention to Diana, waiting for her to speak her mind and then he had to process what she had said in the end. His dark brown eyes went wide once it processed.
"Y-you...uh...r-really? M-me? Are...are you sure? B-because why would you...I mean...you could do so much better than me." he tells her, his insecurities making themselves known.
Diana set her fork down and reached out to hold Steven's hand, "What are you talking about? There is nobody better than you, Steven. You're sweet, intelligent, caring and not to mention handsome. I honestly believe that there isn't a guy out there who is better than you. Besides, even if there was it wouldn't matter to me because I'm choosing you." she confesses with conviction.
Steven stared at her in awe as her confession rolled off her tongue with ease, his cheeks turning a bright pink at her words. Subconsciously, he squeezed her hand a bit tighter. He thought over his words carefully before replying to her confession.
"I...I feel the same way. I just...are you sure that I'm the one you want?" he asks in uncertainty.
"Yes, absolutely. No matter what, always and forever," she says with complete certainty.
The waiter finally returned with the salad and set it down in front of Steven before walking away.
"Okay, now that your food is also here and we've gotten confessions out of the way. Let's eat." Diana tells him.
He nods in agreement and the two of them enjoy dinner together. They made small talk about Egyptian lore as they ate, smiling and laughing with one another. Once they finished eating, the pair argued over paying the bill.
"I should be the one to pay the bill. I'm the one who ordered the steak in the first place." Steven tells her.
"So? I added the salad." Diana argued.
"Please, let me pay for this?" Steven requested.
She sighs, "Okay, okay. Fine, you can pay for this dinner. But I'm paying for the next date."
He smiles and pays the bill then the pair get up from the table and go for a walk instead of heading straight back to their flats. They continued on with their conversation from dinner as they walked under the moonlight, now talking about anything and everything.
Diana listened intently as Steven rambled on, smiling softly as she watched him talk so eagerly, hands waving around as he spoke. Eventually, the duo made their way back to the building of their flats, riding up in the lift together and heading towards their respective flats.
"Oh Gods, I...I meant to give these to you when you joined me at the table." Steven holds the box of chocolates and bouquet of flowers out to Diana.
The Lunar Eternal giggles slightly before taking the gifts from his outstretched hands.
"Thank you very kindly."
He smiles softly at her, looking at her in adoration.
"Will I see you tomorrow?" he asks.
"Of course, silly. We still have work." she smiles.
"Right, you're right. See you tomorrow then," he says.
"Absolutely, I'll make you breakfast. Try and get some sleep, Steven," she tells him.
He gives her a nod and turns to unlock his door but before he could head inside Diana stepped up and gave him a peck on the cheek, watching his cheeks immediately turn pink.
"Goodnight, Duckie~" she smirks at his flushed face before taking a step back from Steven and enters her flat.
Once recovering from Diana's sudden affection, Steven stepped into his own flat and closed the door behind him, applying his strip of blue tape to the door before going about doing the rest of his routine for the night.
~~~~~~~~
When Diana went across the hall the next morning to wake Steven up and invite him over for breakfast, there was no answer. She thought it was a little odd since she had mentioned that she was going to be making breakfast for him but, thought nothing more of it.
She got ready for work and knocked on Steven's door once more but still got no answer. It was then that she had a feeling about what was going on. Being as old as she was, she was very observant...noticing the tiniest of details in a person or in her surroundings. It's how she and the others managed to survive for so long, that and taking care of the Deviants once and for all.
When she had been following after Steven and she noticed the slight difference in him, she did some research. Steven's alter must be in charge and he doesn't even know it.
She made her way to work but when she got there, she could feel a dark presence inside the building from the stairs out front. The dirty blonde quickly made her way inside and instantly began searching for Steven, having a gut feeling that he was in trouble.
She found Steven in the Egyptian wing of the museum, being questioned by Arthur Harrow. She hid behind a display, not wanting to be seen by him or his followers yet, listening in on the conversation to pinpoint the exact moment to get Steven to safety.
"There's chaos in you," Harrow tells Steven.
"There's what?" Steven asked in confusion.
A door opened up behind Steven and Diana took the opportunity to come out from hiding and grab Steven's arm, quickly pulling him along while also keeping her head down so Harrow couldn't recognize her. When she felt like they were a safe distance away from Harrow and his followers, she let go of Steven and turned to face him.
"Are you alright?" she asks in concern, worried about him.
"Y-yeah, think so. Thanks for savin me," he tells her.
"Of course, that man seemed really scary," she comments.
"You have no idea." he mutters.
He looks around one more time before coming to a realization, "Oh bollocks, I'm supposed to be doing inventory."
"No worries, I'll help you out. And I won't be taking "no" for an answer. I offered so I'm following through with it." she states.
He sighs, "Okay, alright. I won't argue with you."
"Good, because you wouldn't have won it anyways." She smirks.
She then takes his hand into hers, "To the stockroom, we go! Allons-y!"
He can't help but smile at her upbeat mood even though they were just going to be logging in inventory. He follows behind her as she leads him by his hand towards the stockroom of the museum.
Once they reached the doors to the stockroom, Steven lets go of her hand to pull a set of keys out of his pocket and went through the key ring in search of the right key. When he finds it, he inserts it into the keyhole and unlocks the door to the stockroom. The brunet holds it open for his companion and the dirty blonde gives him a smile before entering the room, he enters in after her.
"Alright, hopefully with the two of us working through this...we'll be able to get at least partially through some of this stock," Diana says, trying to be optimistic about their situation.
"I think we can do it. Let's get started." Steven says in return.
The two get to work, Steven goes behind the counter to man the scanner while Diana brings a couple of boxes over to start off with. But she decides to set the boxes in front of the counter where he can't reach them and hops up onto the counter, moving around til she was sitting sideways so she could see Steven and crossing her legs so she was sitting criss-cross apple sauce, before she leans over to grab a few items then set them on the counter in front of her so Steven could scan them.
The pair worked in the stockroom until closing. The lights shutting off indicating that it was closing time. Diana hops down from the counter as Steven rounds said counter. They began to make their way out of the museum when they heard a strange sound coming from the room behind them, it almost sounded like a wounded animal.
"Oh, bloody hell," Steven mutters.
The janitor that was mopping the floor doesn't seem to notice the sound though. Steven and Diana share a look with one another before looking in the direction that they heard the noise come from, eventually deciding to head that way.
"Hello? Donna?" Steven called out.
Diana trailed behind Steven, now on guard for anything lurking in the darkness. The wounded animal sound changed into the sound of a dog howling.
"J.B?" Steven tries.
"Pets allowed in the museum?" Diana questioned.
Steven shrugged. The new, unofficial couple continue slinking through the darkness of the closed museum, looking for the dog in question.
"Here, boy," Steven calls before whistling.
The dog seems to stop making noises as he calls out for it, which the duo notes.
"Hello? Where are you, you little bugger?" Steven wonders aloud.
He turns towards a glass display, looking at his duplicated reflection before continuing on. But, Diana lingers behind for a couple of moments and notices that the two reflections don't move on.
She suddenly heard a loud growl from behind her and she turned her head, yet she couldn't see anything. That made her hurry to catch up with Steven, wanting to protect him from the unseen threat that was lurking around.
"Here, boy," Steven calls out again before whistling once more.
"Steven, we should just go. The dog might've found another way out." Diana tells him.
"There ain't no way. It would've had to pass us to get out." Steven says.
"Steven...I don't like this. We should go." she fakes being scared, hoping it'll make him want to leave.
Steven stops walking and turns around to look at her, taking in her frightened expression.
"It's alright, luv. We'll find the little bugger and then leave," he assures her.
He turns again and starts walking once more. She groans softly in annoyance before following him. The duo turned a corner and then they hear a monstrous growling sound.
Steven immediately started to back away slowly and Diana let him move behind her, moving into a protective stance. He ducked down behind a display case, pulling her down with him. She laid down in front of him, back against his chest with his arms wrapped around her chest, when the intercom speaker chimed overhead.
"Steven Grant of the gift shop. Give me the scarab and you won't be torn apart." Arthur Harrow's voice came over the intercom.
The growling seemed louder and then Steven seemed to have an idea. He unwrapped his arms from around Diana's torso before grabbing ahold of his bag and tosses it aside as a distraction. Something seems to jump out of the shadows but, Diana couldn't see the monstrous creature.
Steven nudged her to get up before motioning for her to follow him and they crept along the darkness, trying to stay out of sight of whatever was lurking around. He accidentally backs into a display and nearly knocked over a vase but, was quick to catch it.
"Run!" Steven says after a brief moment of silence.
He grabs Diana's hand and pulls her behind him as he starts running. Even though she can't see whatever was chasing after them, she could definitely hear it jumping onto the walls as it hunted them. They run throughout the museum, trying to get to safety.
The monstrous beast seems to land on Steven and Diana quickly shoves at the invisible thing in hopes of pushing it off of him before picking him up and pulling him along this time. She keeps a level head as he screams in fright, left arm bent up close to his chest as it had been mildly injured.
The pair run down a corridor and Diana pulls down a shelf just as the creature burst through the doors. Steven attempts to open a door but, of course he has to scan his employee card which takes too long in a moment of flight. He finally managed to get a door open and quickly grabbed Diana's arm to pull her in with him.
Steven quickly shut the door of the bathroom behind her then slowly backed away from said door as the creature attempted to get in. She stood in front of him as she stared at the door.
"We are to not interfere in human conflicts unless Deviants are involved."
Of course this would be the moment when Ajak's words would ring in Diana's mind, reminding her that the Eternals were forbidden from impeding in human conflicts. Her hands clenched by her sides preparing for a fight even though she knew she shouldn't fight this battle nor could she see the offending beast.
"No, what...Control of what? What are you talking about?" she hears Steven ask.
She looks over her shoulder to see him talking to his reflection. Steven suddenly spins around, attention focused on the door and not Diana looking at him.
"Damn it! No! No! No!" Steven says, slapping himself in the face before turning to the mirror again. "You're not real. None of this is real."
He looks back at the door, now with dents in it, fear evident in his dark brown eyes.
"Oh, God. I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die." he mutters to himself.
"Hey," Diana calls out, making Steven turn from the mirror and to her.
"You're not going to die." she says, unbeknownst to her, at the same time as the man in the mirror.
Steven looks back at the mirror on his left and stares in to it. Diana looks over as well, but all she can see is himself reflecting back to him. She watches as he turns his head away from the mirror and seems to be thinking things over before he was slowly nodding his head.
Her blue-green eyes widened in alarm when Steven started to seize, eyes rolling back into his head. The bathroom door came crashing down in that exact moment, causing the dirty blonde to spin around and try to discern where the creature was.
Unfortunately, before she could...she was smacked aside, back slamming into a sink then crumpling to the ground. She then watches as Steven's body becomes enveloped in a white wraps until it becomes a suit with a hood, cape and a crescent moon on the chest.
The Lunar Eternal watches the fight that occurs in the bathroom, although it looks one sided to her. Staring at the white outfit, the familiarity finally clicked within her and she finally understood what the familiar presence was. The creature was pummeled into the ground and defeated, "Steven" turned around and went to walk out without Diana until she spoke aloud.
"Of course, it all makes sense now."
The masked vigilante turned around and looked at her, solid white eyes gazing down at her before he picked her up off the floor and took her with him, throwing her over his shoulder.

Golden Light & Shields Chapter 3
Ikaris x Male Reader
A/N: Chapter 3 is here. Writing helps with the stress of school lol.
The next morning was spent on what to do with Ajak. She had her color back but was still weak from having her energy drained by the Deviant. There was debate on whether to leave her here on her farm, or take her with them to Mumbai, to Kingo. “She's been injured. There's no way we could take her,” Sersi said.
“That's true, but we can't just leave her. That Deviant followed us here from London and could come back and Ajak won't have the strength to defend herself,” Y/N protested. They all turn to Ikaris. He looks at them confused. “What?”
“You’re the leader now, Iceberg. It's your decision.”
Ikaris sighed. “We take Ajak with us. It's better she's with us than on her own.”
After packing a bag for Ajak and a quick breakfast, the Eternals and Y/N set out for a flight out of South Dakota, and to Mumbai, India. Y/N’s thankful for his passport and visa. After spending 16 hours and 39 minutes on an airplane, they finally landed in Mumbai. Ikaris and Y/N helped Ajak and carried her stuff as they found a place for her to stay, while they went to go find Kingo.
They found themselves on the set of a movie being made. There was a woman singing about a ‘Nach, mera hero.’ Several women in long dresses dance around with a piece of cloth in their hands as they twirl and move off to the side. The lights turn on in the center of the set are several men dressed like guards, as a man with dark hair and skin is dressed like Ikaris. He and the other males begin to dance to the beat of the music. Y/N and Sersi look on in wonder as Ikaris and Sprite look disturbed.
“That's Kingo, right?” Y/N asks Ikaris, pointing at the man in the middle.
“Yeah, that's him,” Ikaris responds.
“Why is he dressed like you?”
“No idea.”
They continue to watch as the men dressed as guards move off to the side as the women take center stage and begin to dance as Kingo walks around the side. A man comes up to them. “Welcome. I am Karun Patel. Kingo’s valet,” Karun says. “It's truly an honor to be in the presence of the great Eternals and a mighty Avenger.” The final dance number is coming up as Kingo and his leading lady continue the last part of their dance, red and white petals falling on them as they stop and so does the music.
“Cut! Okay, everyone, that was good. But we could do 10% better,” Kingo says. “That was beautiful. Very, very, good. Really so good.” He takes notice of Ikaris, Sprite, and Sersi.
“Ahh, my friends from college are here.” He hugs Ikaris. “Hello, boss! Perfect timing. Welcome to the set of…” He speaks in Hindi. “Legend of Icarus. I'm playing you! You like the costume?”
“We need to talk,” Ikaris says as Kingo keeps talking. “Tell the director I have some notes for him–”
“–We need to talk to you in private,” Y/N interrupts.
“I’m sorry, but who are you?” Kingo asks, looking at Y/N.
“My name is Y/N Maximoff, an active member of the Avengers, codename: Prometheus,” Y/N said.
“Dude, you're an Avenger? Do you know Thor—of course you know, Thor. Why would you be an Avenger and not know Thor?”
Y/N chuckles. “Yes, I know Thor quite well.”
“Awesome, the name’s Kingo,” Kingo held out a hand for Y/N to shake. “Nice to meet you, Kingo. Ikaris has told me all about you.”
“Oh, really? What did he say about me?” Kingo eyed Ikaris suspiciously.
“All good things, I promise.”
“We need to talk to you in private,” Sprite says, pointing a thumb at Karun.
“Oh, Karun. He's worked with me for 50 years. I trust him completely,” Kingo says. “Actually, when we first met, he thought I was a vampire, and he tried to stake me through the heart.”
“I have apologized so many times,” Karun chuckled.
“Not quite enough times. Very close, though. I'll let you know. Oh, I have to get ready for the next scene. Come to my tent, we'll talk there. You guys are gonna love the next scene. I come in on a wire 'cause, you know, I can't fly. Wait, are we getting back together?”
“We need to talk,” Sersi said as they followed Kingo to his tent. “I've been waiting for the day the world learns the true identity of the Shadow Warrior—”
“—Ajak was almost killed,” Sprite said.
Kingo froze, then looked at them through the mirror. “What?!”
“It was a Deviant. The Deviants are back. We don't know how many there are. You need to come with us,” Ikaris places a hand on Kingo’s shoulder. Kingo gets up and walks out of his tent, obviously disturbed by the news. He heads toward the exit of the set. He looks at the poster for his movie. “I can't just go. I mean, all of these people depend on me. We just started shooting this movie. It's the first of a trilogy. We just got BTS to do a cameo…”
“Sir, may I say something?” Karun asks.
“Please don't say anything.”
“I think you should go.”
“I just said don't say anything,” Kingo said.
"Life affords no greater duty than to protect one's family!" Remember? It's your favorite line from The Shadow Warrior 2: Voyage of Time. Your family needs you,” Karun reminds him.
Kingo sighs.
….
That's how they all found themselves on Kingo’s private jet as they headed to Australia to find Thena and Gilgamesh. Ajak was doing better and Kingo was so happy to see her again. It’s been what? 7,000 years?
“Seven thousand years. That's how long the battle between Eternals and Deviants has raged for. You think I'm a movie star? Well, I am. But I am also... an Eternal,” Kingo says dramatically as Karun records him with a camera.
“Kingo, what are you doing?” Sprite asks, annoyed.
“I think we should be remembered, so... I am making a documentary about us. You are about to meet my fellow Eternal Sprite.” Sprite looks at Sersi for help. “Sprite, tell them about yourself.”
“Oh, wait,” she says as she flips Kingo off and disappears.
“I wonder who taught her that one?” Ajak said.
“Okay, well, we'll circle back to her. This is Sersi. Sersi, tell them about yourself.” The camera is on Sersi, who looks uncomfortable. “Uh…”
“We're rolling.”
“Well, uh... I can change a rock into water. Uh, I could turn a rock into wood. Or a rock into metal. Actually, one time, I turned a rock into air,” Sersi states honestly.
“Cut. Um, you know what? Why don't you think about it, and we'll get back to you, okay? Let's go,” Kingo said as they headed to the back.
Y/N’s hand inched towards Ikaris’s drink as he was munching peanuts and wasn’t looking. Just as Y/N was about to grab it, Ikaris grabbed it without looking at him. He turned to Y/N and smirked. “And just what do you think you're doing, hmm?”
“Come on, Ikaris, I'm thirsty,” Y/N said.
“Well, why do you grab yourself a fancy water or soda or something?”
“Why can’t I have that?” Y/N pointed to Ikaris’s alcoholic drink.
“You’re underaged and the last thing I need is a drunk boyfriend,” Ikaris said.
“But I can’t get drunk. Not even Thor’s Asgardian home-brewed liquor can get me buzzed,” Y/N protested. “I’m about to turn 21.” Ikaris gave him a look. “In like a year from now, but the point is I’m an adult.”
“Sorry, Duckling, but this is not for you,” Ikaris kissed Y/N on the cheek and walked and sat down next to Sersi as Y/N pouted.
Sersi was looking down at her phone, texting. “Sprite says you're addicted to this thing,” Ikaris says.
“Oh, this?” She holds up her phone. “Look at this.” She uses an app that changes Ikaris’s face to what he would look like as an old man. “Whoa.”
“You know, seeing as we don't age. I think you look quite good. Don't you?” She takes a picture as they both chuckle.
“Nobody ever wonders how you managed to be the leading man for over 100 years?” Sprite asks Kingo. They were in another part of the plane.
“Oh, I don't know what you're talking about. That is my great-great-grandfather, that is my great-grandfather, grandfather, father, and me. I'm part of the greatest dynasty in the history of Bollywood. Pretty impressive, right?” Kingo says, referring to him in all the posters.
“You abandoned me in Macedonia.”
“Okay, I got sick of moving every five years. People freak out when they notice that you don't... age.”
“I thought we were friends,” Sprite told him.
“Do you know why I love movies? Because of you. I missed sitting in the audience, listening to your stories, watching your illusions. We should've all stayed together. It would have been better that way,” Kingo said.
They make it to Australia as they walk in the Outback, dirt flying all around. A Deviant is dead on the ground. “This is the Deviant you fought in London?” Kingo asks.
“It's different. There must be more out there than we thought,” Ikaris says.
“Oh. Is... Is this a Deviant, sir?” Karun asks.
“Yep.”
“It's a beautiful creature.”
“What? This? This? No. It's hideous. You've never had one try to bite your head off. Roll,” Kingo said.
“Oh,” Karun begins to roll the camera. As Kingo narrates what’s going on. “You're about to meet two of the greatest warriors the world has ever known. Thena, legendary, deadly, fashionable,” Kingo says. “And her trusty friend…” He points towards the door. “Door. ... a mighty powerhouse of strength.” Ikaris knocks on the door. “The fearsome Gilgamesh!” Ikaris and Y/N give Kingo a pointed look. No one comes out.
“Gilgamesh!”
Someone opens the door as Gilgamesh comes out wearing an apron. He looks at Ikaris. “What took you so long?” he waves for Karun to turn off the camera. He looks at Sprite as he walks by. “You look younger today, Sprite.”
“I have the same apron,” Karun notes.
Gilgamesh looks at him. “Who the hell are you?”
“I'm Karun. Kingo's valet.”
“Oh, valet. Like Alfred in Batman.”
“Gilgamesh. The Deviants are back,” Ikaris says.
“No shit. I could have used some help.”
“We were attacked by a Deviant in London, too, and on Ajak’s farm,” Sprite said.
“Ajak’s here?” Gilgamesh asked as the leader of the Eternals walked up to him and smiled warmly. “Hello, Gilgamesh. It's been a long time.”
“Yeah, no shit. What about the Deviant?”
“Ikaris couldn't kill it,” Sersi said.
“You couldn't?” Gilgamesh teased.
“I was distracted,” Ikaris protested.
“Sure, man.”
“It took both of us to stop it,” Y/N said.
“Who are you?” Gilgamesh asked.
“This is Y/N Maximoff. Ikaris’s superhero boyfriend,” Sprite said.
“Boyfriend?!” Kingo and Gilgamesh asked at the same time.
“That's right,” Ikaris said. “Is that a problem?” He brought Y/N closer to him.
“Not a problem at all, boss,” Kingo said.
“He’s cute,” Gilgamesh said as Y/N blushed. “Hey, you guys wanna try my pie?”
“I do,” Y/N said, grabbing the hot pan from Gilgamesh with his bare hands. “It smells good,” Y/N said as Gilgamesh stared at him, shocked.
“Something wrong?”
“Doesn't that burn your hands?”
“Not really. Invulnerable skin,” Y/N said.
“Cool.”
Ikaris looks out into the distance at a tree. Sersi follows his eyes and sees a white figure underneath it. Y/N sets the pie down on the table as Sersi begins to walk towards the tree. “Sersi. The attack triggered her. She's no fun to be around right now,” Gilgamesh warns.
They all walk towards the tree, with a woman with long blonde hair dressed in a white dress sitting underneath it. She’s drawing with oils and pastels a picture of a Celestial. It's either Arishem or Tiamut. “Hey, Thena. Look who's here. Give me your hand.” Thena turns around but instead of giving Gilgamesh her hand, she projects a spear made out of cosmic energy as she attacks Gilgamesh, but he blocks it with his own cosmic energy of exoskeleton. “Thena.”
“Everyone in Centuri-Six is going to die,” Thena said.
“Give me your hand,” Gilgamesh says.
“It's too late. We can't save them.”
“Thena.”
Thena creates another weapon in her other hand as she takes a defensive stance. Sprite uses her own powers of illusions to create an environment that resembles their ship. “Thena. We came to Earth together on our ship.” Sprite waves her hands and there’s a lifelike illusion of Arishem, Thena, and a Deviant. “You're an Eternal. The greatest warrior of Olympia. The legendary protector of Athens. The goddess of war. Remember who you are.” Thena puts her weapons away as she holds on her hand for Gilgamesh.
He links his hands with hers as her eyes go back to normal as Sprite’s illusions melt away. “Remember.”
Thena smiles.
“Thena,” Ikaris says.
“Hi,” Kingo said.
“Hello,” she says.
“Hey, who's your gardener?”
Ajak steps forward. “Hello, Thena, it's wonderful to see you again.”
“Hello, Ajak,” Thena says, as Ajak pulls her into a hug that Thena hesitantly accepts. They pull back as Thena looks at Y/N. “And you are?”
“Hello, Thena. My name is Y/N. It's lovely to meet you,” Y/N said.
“Likewise,” she smiles as she heads back to the hut. The others follow her as Y/N whispers to Ikaris. “She’s kind of hot.”
“She’s too old for you,” Ikaris said.
“Technically, you're too old for me as well,” Y/N smirked. “Someone’s jealous.”
“I'm not jealous, but let me tell you something. You’re mine and only mine,” Ikaris says as Y/N giggles.
….
“This is just what you guys eat every day? Yeah, this is amazing,” Kingo said. They were all eating food prepared by Gilgamesh.
“Every day.”
“Thank you for this,” Ikaris said.
“Oh, you're welcome. Help yourself.” Gilgamesh holds up a jug. “This one is a trio of wine, beer, and mead. Made for all the soldiers in the battle of Troy,” Gilgamesh smiles.
“That's so thoughtful,” Karun said. Thena stares at him as she eats a bite of her food. Kingo looks at her. “Should she be drinking?” Gilgamesh leans in close. “No, hers is non-alcoholic. For kids.” Thena takes a drink of her cup.
“I gave you the same thing, Y/N, Sprite,” Gilgamesh said. He begins to chuckle, and so does Kingo. “For kids.”
Y/N and Sprite glared at Gilgamesh. Sprite waves her hand and an illusion of baby clothes forms around Gilgamesh. “I was just kidding. Your is a secret brew Odin taught me as a thank-you after we helped defeat Laufey's army in Tønsberg.” The others began to chuckle at the way Gilgamesh was dressed. He frowns.
“What? Oh.” he looks down and sees what he’s wearing. “I'm a big baby. Very mature. Can you stop? Stop.” Sprite breaks the illusion.
“Speaking of Odin... Thor used to follow me around when he was a little kid. Now he's a famous Avenger and won't return my calls,” Kingo said.
“Really?” Y/N asks him. Thor never told him that.
“Oh, yeah. He followed me like a little puppy dog.”
“So, now that Captain Rogers and Iron Man are both retired, who do you think is gonna lead the Avengers?” Sprite asked. They all looked at Y/N, awaiting an answer.
“Umm… Well, Steve has been training me in more leadership types of roles, but I'm sure someone like Sam, Bucky, or Carol is more qualified than me to lead. Maybe a Young Avengers or something with Peter.”
“Well, maybe I could lead them. I figure I'd be good at that,” Ikaris said.
“Yeah, you would,” Kingo said.
“I could ask Steve and see what he says,” Y/N offered.
“As long as you're by my side, dearie,” Ikaris smiled.
“How are you to them when you couldn't even lead us?” Gilgamesh said.
“Whoa.”
“Ouch, Gil. Ouch.”
“Harsh.”
“I'm gonna let that one slide because, you know, you've always been bitter that I can fly and you can't,” Ikaris said.
“Oh, so what, you can fly? I'm better-looking, everybody knows that,” Gilgamesh said.
Ajak was silent throughout the whole meal. It was obvious she had something on her mind. They were all almost together except for Druig, Makkari, and Phastos. Maybe it was time she was honest with all of them and told them the truth about who they really are. “I have something to tell all of you,” she said.
“What is it, Ajak?” Sersi asked.
Y/N looked at Ikaris worriedly. She was going to tell them the truth. Ikaris’s face was unreadable.
What's been happening to the Earth? These earthquakes. I know what's causing them.”
“What?” Sprite asked.
Ajak looked the other Eternals in the eyes. “It is a side effect of the Emergence.”
“The Emergence?”
“It is time for you to learn the true purpose of your mission. You were sent to Earth to bring forth the Celestial Tiamut. Every billion years, new Celestials must be born. Arishem planted Celestial seeds into host planets across the universe,” Ajak said.
“The planet Earth was chosen to host the Celestial Tiamut. In order to grow, Tiamut needs vast amounts of energy from intelligent life. The Deviants prevented this by consuming humans until the Eternals eliminated them. Now, the human population of the planet has reached the required amount. The Emergence has begun.”
“You knew the truth, and you didn't tell us?” Sersi said.
“It wasn't just Ajak who knew Sersi,” Ikaris said. “Y/N and I knew about it as well.”
“You both have been lying to us?” Sprite asked.
“It wasn't a lie. Just a secret we couldn't say,” Y/N told her.
“Right, because that's so much better,” Kingo said.
“But... Everyone on Earth will die.”
“Right, but we won't let that happen,” Ikaris said. “That's why I came looking for you, Sersi. To find you and Sprite.”
“What about our home on Olympia?”
“There is no Olympia. Your true home is the World Forge. It is here that Arishem built and programmed the Eternals,” Ajak said.
“Everything dies except us because we were never alive. Why don't we remember any of this?” Gilgamesh asked.
“Because your memories are erased and reset after each Emergence,” Ajak said. “Arishem created the Deviants, and he lost control of them. He built and programmed us, the Eternals, to be synthetic beings incapable of evolution, to correct his mistake.”
“So, you're saying we're basically fancy robots? And our past memories are stored somewhere in space?” Kingo said.
“And Arishem made the Deviants,” Sersi said.
“I'm sorry, Thena. You tried to warn us,” Gilgamesh said.
“The last time Arishem reset your memories, something must have gone wrong,” Sprite said.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, that's what Mahd Wy'ry is, isn't it? All this time, Thena was remembering all the other planets we were sent to and everyone dying during the Emergence,” Sprite said.
“Exactly,” Ajak said.
“I thought we were heroes. Turns out we're the bad guys,” Gilgamesh said.
“You’re not the bad guys, Gilgamesh. Just misguided,” Y/N said.
“Why should I believe anything you say?” Gilgamesh looked at Y/N. “You're a liar.”
“Leave him alone, Gil,” Ikaris said.
“Or what, Ikaris?” Gilgamesh said.
Ikaria got to his feet, eyes glowing gold as Gilgamesh summoned his cosmic exoskeleton.
“Stop! Both of you!” Ajak said. “It's understandable that you feel angry and hurt, but if you want to be mad at someone, be mad at me. Not at Ikaris or Y/N.”
Gilgamesh huffed and dropped his cosmic exoskeleton.
“Every time innocent lives have been sacrificed for the greater good, it turns out to be a mistake. We have to stop the Emergence,” Sersi said.
“Sersi, we have no right to stop the birth of a Celestial,” Kingo protested.
“Maybe you don't, but I do,” Y/N said. “I protect this planet and if there’s a way Tiamut can emerge without destroying the Earth, so be it, but if not I'm not going to let him destroy everything I care about.”
“We just have to delay it until we figure out how,” Sersi agreed.
“Could Druig control its mind? Maybe put it to sleep?” Gilgamesh asked.
“"Put it to sleep?” Are you serious?” Sprite said.
“Gilgamesh asked Druig to put me to sleep once,” Thena said.
“So I could take a vacation to Fiji, you know?” Gilgamesh said.
“We’re talking about a Celestial, okay?” Kingo said.
“We have to try. Come on, we’re not gonna let everyone on Earth die, right?” Y/N asked.
“Right,” Karun said. “I’m human. I’m a little biased.”
“The world is ending. You need to go home,” Kingo says in Hindi.
“And do what? Watch TV?” Karun asks Kingo.
“He’s got you there,” Y/N said.
“When I could be with the Earth’s original superheroes and its latest as they try to save the world?”
“Fine. If you want to, stay,” Kingo says, taking a drink of his mug.
“Thank you very much, sir.”
“Gilgamesh, could you please get rid of the saliva beer?” Kingo said.
“I thought you liked it, man,” Gilgamesh said.
“We need to go. Now. Find the others,” Ikaris said. “Once we’re all together, we’ll decide what to do about the emergence.”
….
They all journey to the Amazon in search of the one Eternal who might be able to put Tiamut back to sleep. Druig. They’re deep in the forest and find a small village with a bunch of people and animals like llamas. A little girl walks with her parents as she waves at Y/N, who waves back.
“Buenas Tardes,” a woman says as she passes by Kingo.
“It’s very nice here, sir,” Karun says.
“Don’t be fooled. Ignorance is bliss,” Kingo warns.
“Oye, estamos buscando a Druig. ¿Está aquí?” Sprite asks a man if he knows where Druig is.
“Sí. ¿Cómo conoces Druig?” He asks her.
“Somos amigos… De la universidad,” Y/N said.
The man turns to Y/N and Sprite, his eyes glowing eerily. “Hello, Sprite.” A man walks out of a little building as the people of this village gather behind Y/N, Karun, and the Eternals. “I missed all of you,” Druig smiled. “Please, make yourselves at home.”
They all follow Druig inside the building and tell him everything that’s going to happen. Druig stands in front of them, searching their eyes and maybe even their minds for any indication that this is a trick or bad joke. He looks at Ajak.
“You’ve given me a lot of bad news in one go, my lady.”
“Will you help us?” Ajak asks.
“I am glad that…”
Sersi’s phone begins to ring, interrupting Druig mid-sentence. It plays Juice by Lizzo as she tries to turn it off. It’s Dane calling her. She puts it on silent as she blushes, glancing at Ikaris, who smirks.
“Hey, what’s your service?” Kingo asks curiously. “I’m not getting any bars.” Thena hits a sleeping Gilgamesh awake.
“Do you all remember this forest?” Druig asks. “Beautiful.” He walks around the room. “It was the last place we all lived together.” He stops in front of Thena and Gilgamesh. “I’ve protected these people for 20 generations now from the outside world and from themselves.” Kingo tells Karun to stop rolling the camera as Druig comes up to them.
“Your kind, my friend, you will be responsible for your own extinction one day,” Druig tells Karun. “Don’t you think?”
“I think we must learn from our mistakes and do better, sir. You must not give up hope,” Karun tells him. Druig’s eyes flash gold and there’s a humming sound as Karun’s eyes flash the same color as he throws the camera against the wall. Druig is controlling him. Y/N speeds over to him and pushes him against the wall.
“Let go of him, now,” Y/N demands.
“You’re gonna have to make me,” Druig grins at Y/N. “If you wanna stop me, you’re gonna have to kill me.”
“Oh, don’t think I won’t,” Y/N warns.
Druig’s eyes flash again and Y/N can hear a buzzing sound in his head. Druig is trying to mind control him. Druig frowns as his eyes go back to normal. “That’s not possible.”
Y/N grins. “Sorry, but I’ve had my mind controlled by my sister once and wasn’t a fan of it. She forced me and Ikaris to play house in a sitcom show, so don’t think that’s going to work on me.” Y/N lets Druig go and he lets Karun go as well.
“I’m sorry, sir,” Karun said.
“Don’t apologize, it’s not your fault,” Kingo said. “You are not a God. You know that, right?”
“How ironic. Kingo, the movie star,” Druig said.
“I’ve directed some things, too.”
“Oh, yeah? Like what?”
“Some Internet content.”
“How many views?”
“I don’t do it for the views,” Kingo said.
“He’s wasting our time,” Ikaris says, walking towards the door.
“We need him,” Sersi said.
“Ikaris,” Druig walks up to him. “I missed you. Are you gonna charm me or threaten me like your boyfriend over there?” he points to Y/N.
“I mean, there’s a third option, if you prefer that,” Ikaris says evenly.
“It must be heartbreaking to find out that your boyfriend is just as evil as his sister. A destroyer of Worlds,” Druig says, grinning at Y/N’s shocked face. “I may not be able to control your mind, but I can read you like a book. And let me tell you, Y/N. You’re very open about it.”
“The only evil one here is you, Druig,” Ikaris says angrily. “A spoiled and selfish brat.”
“Sticks and stones, Ikaris.”
“Druig, this is serious,” Sersi says.
“I’ll tell you what’s serious. I’ve just been told I’ve been sent on a suicide mission for the past 7,000 years, and that my entire existence is a lie. So, excuse me for not giving a shit about your plan right now,” Druig says as he walks out the door.
“Druig sucks.”
“He does, sir.”
Ikaris and Y/N flew high above the clouds in the night sky. Usually Y/N love to fly, it always made him feel better and cleared his mind, but tonight his mind was elsewhere. Ikaris sensed something was off with his young lover.
“What’s wrong, Duckling?” He asked.
“What?... Oh, it’s nothing,” Y/N said.
“You sure?”
“Actually I’m not okay. What Druig said—”
“— Druig is a down right bastard,” Ikaris said. “Don’t listen to him.”
“What if he’s right?” What if I really am evil?”
Ikaris shook his head. “That’s nonsense.”
“Is it? Agatha told my sister she would destroy the world as the mythical Scarlet Witch. And told me I have that same darkness inside me,” Y/N says. “She said I’d either use my powers to protect mankind from her, or help her destroy it.”
Ikaris was silent for a moment and Y/N was afraid he scared him off. That’s when he spoke. “If that was true then why would you risk coming here to help us stop the Emergence?”
Y/N looked at him. “Because it’s the right thing to do.”
“Exactly, Y/N,” Ikaris said. “Because your heart is pure and you would rather sacrifice yourself for those you love. That’s not what someone who’s evil would do.”
“But I—”
“— No but’s. I don’t care what an evil witch or a bastard Eternal says. I know you better than they do. You're not evil.”
“Are you willing to bet your life on that?” Y/N asked him.
“Always.”
“I love Ikaris,” Y/N said. It took a second for the
Avenger realized what he had just said. “Wait— That’s not what I—what I meant was—”
“I love you too, Y/N,” Ikaris smiled sweetly. “I always will.” Ikaris leaned down for a kiss and before Y/N could meet him, something hard and heavy slammed into them as Ikaris let Y/N go as he fell to the ground below. “Y/N!”
The last thing Y/N saw while he was plummeting to earth was Ikaris being carried away by a Deviant.
“Ikaris!”

The way Marvel were bragging about having a Bollywood dance sequence in Eternals but the song they came up with isn't even in Hindi 😭
Also it's called "nach mera hero" That makes no sense!??? Couldn't they have at least consulted someone who speaks the language and let them write the song???
That's what I get for getting my hopes up... Like how do you mess that up this badly.

70 Thoughts (And Questions) I Had While Watching The Eternals.
WARNING: THIS DIARY ENTRY CONTAINS SPOILERS.
IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE MOVIE, PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION OR SAVE THIS POST FOR LATER.
Otherwise, enjoy.
We start off with an unnecessarily long crawl. (1:05 worth)
Robotic Groot.
If Harry Potter swallowed the Golden Snitch he’d become an Eternal?
I CAN SHOW YOU THE WORLD!
What a nice-looking beach! It would be a shame if - WHAT IS THAT!?
The gang’s all here.
Ooh, we’re getting some sign language in here.
Angelina Jolie in Marvel?
I love how that space ship just shows up out of thin air.
When were y’all going to tell me Salma Hayek was in this?
There’s a child. An actual child.
But everyone else is like, really good-looking.
That’s a surprise tool that will help us later.
Major time skips. A good writing tool to move it all forward.
Really? You put that thing in a school museum?
I would love to have Jon Snow as my professor.
Seriously? Another movie that shows a dog about to be -
And we skip right to the party. IS THE DOG OKAY?!
Welcome to the new TLC show: My Girlfriend has Super Powers.
I do not trust this one with sharp objects.
Why does Ikaris look like Bucky?
Save a child caught in the chaos. A trope I will use later.
One Punch Man?
“The plow, cause that’s what it does. Plows dirt.” Iconic!
Come on, Thena. Lighten up, it’s a party!
I wish I could stare at people and make them get along.
I ship Druig and Makkari with my whole heart.
She’s good with kids, smart, beautiful.
“I am very beautiful.” He’s not wrong, hehe.
Really? On the beach? You might regret that later, lol.
And it was all a dream.
Whelp. Ajak is dead already.
Aww, Sprite. *tears up*
Poor sweet Druig just wants to stop people from fighting.
Thena’s going crazy? Well, can’t say I didn’t see that coming.
Gilgamesh is gonna protect her. That’s so sweet.
*adds Nach Mera Hero to my playlist*
The cameraman is iconic!
Love the Batman reference.
Eternal Problems: Arishem leaving you on ‘seen’
He called Sprite Tinkerbell.
Wait, she loves Ikaris? She’s a child, but okay.
How many cameras do you have, man?
LET ME SEE WHAT YOU HAVE! A KNIFE!!
Nice, going, Sersi. How’re they gonna get that tree out?
NO! Not Gilgamesh!! *tears up*
FINALLY, THEY’RE GONNA GET PHASTOS!
Are you trying to make me cry?
Phastos needs hugs, and possibly some therapy.
Aww, he has a family now.
Superman, lol.
Oh, no. Our table. It’s broken.
Of course he’s the villain.
That doesn’t stop him from being attractive, though.
Spite, honey. You deserve much much better than him.
And someone your own age.
Bye, Kingo. Bye cameraman.
We’re not gonna talk about the humanoid Deviant.
*signs* Excuse me, Makkari. You dropped this. *holds up crown*
Great, now Sersi’s gonna die.
Sprite, violence is never the answer, love.
He must have been possessed or something because he’s sad now.
Yes, she forgives him and tells him it’s okay.
And they lived happily - WAIT WHAT?
HE’S FLOWN TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN!
So you hurt people and decide to - That’s rough, buddy.
She gave up her immortal life to grow up and fall in love.
I’m crying now.
Dane is The Black Knight? (I had to look it up.)
How and why does Thanos have a brother and why’s he Harry Styles?
So, I FINALLY watched The Eternals last night, and I am honestly going to say that I’m neutral. I agree that it wasn’t the best Marvel movie, but it wasn’t the worst movie I’ve seen (Trust me, I’ve seen worse)
All in all, I’d rate it a 7/10

Nach Mera Hero (Alfasl Althaani)
A/N: This story is based on my theory. I was already in the process of writing this story before I saw @jupitersmoon167 ‘s idea so I wanted to go ahead and get this out there so that no one thought I’d stolen their idea.
My MCU theory: We know that the Eternals arrived in 5000 B.C, which means they were around during the Egyptian Era. Osiris mentions, during the Council’s meeting in episode 3 that the Gods turned their backs on humanity because humanity turned their backs on them first, so what if the Eternals made their way into Egypt because there were Deviants attacking. The Eternals have been depicted as Gods/Goddess before, and they can be seen using their abilities unlike the Egyptian Gods/Goddess, who can only be seen by their Avatars. Humanity has a thing about seeing is believing, so what if the reason the Egyptians turned their backs on their God/Goddesss was because they got tired of believing in entity they couldn’t perceive when there was a group of people they could see.
-Previously-
After the tour was over, Steven led Diana to the museum's stock room as promised. There had to be at least over a dozen boxes inside.
"Alright, so the Ennead plushes should be in one of these boxes. We just have to find the one with the right label." Steven tells her.
They split up and started checking the labels of the boxes. Ennead posters, gummies, plastic Ennead statues, pencils, small notebooks, plastic bookmarks, erasers...no plushes. Diana felt like she had to have looked at a dozen boxes until Steven called out.
"Found it!"
Diana turned around and walked over to Steven, who grabbed the box off the top of others. He set it down on the floor and pulls his box cutter out of his pants pocket, slicing through the tape. He pulled the box flaps open and revealed Khonshu plushes. She smiles brightly at the falcon plush with a crescent moon headpiece on its head and picks one out of the box. She looks at it for a moment before reaching into her skirt pocket and pulled out her wallet then handed a couple of bills over to Steven, who took it from her and pocketed the money to put into the register once they made their way back to the gift shop.
"Thanks for the tour, Steven. I had a great time learning from you. You are very passionate about Egyptology." she tells him.
Steven's face flushed bright pink at the compliment, "Y-you're welcome. I was afraid that I was rambling too much. A-and I am but, Donna doesn't think I'm cut out to be a tour guide so she put me in the gift shop."
Diana frowns at that, "I'm sorry Steven, that's not fair. I think you'd make an excellent tour guide. You'd easily give me a run for my money."
"Y-you think so?" he asks in uncertainty.
"Most definitely. I'll be sure to tell her how you did today, giving me a tour and maybe she'll finally allow you to be a tour guide." she says.
He smiled bashfully, "Th-thanks. I-I'd really appreciate that...although y-you really don't have to. I actually don't mind working in the gift shop."
"You don't have to lie to me. I noticed how unhappy you looked as compared to when you were giving me a tour. I'm very observant." she tells him.
"Stevie!" Donna's voice called somewhere outside the stock room.
They both turned their heads towards the door before looking at each other.
"I-I should probably go." Steven mentions.
"Right, of course. Thanks again for the tour. I'll see you around, Stevie." she giggles before walking out, leaving a flustered Steven behind.
~~~~~
After taking some more time to closely look at a few of the Egyptian artifacts on display in the British Museum and reliving old memories, Diana headed back to her flat in a nearby building that was only a fifteen minute bus ride away. She climbed off the bus once it reached the bus stop that was around the corner from the building and headed towards said building. She heads inside and makes her way to the lift. She pressed the up button to call the lift and stepped onto it once it arrived. However, before the doors could close, she heard a voice call out.
"Hold the doors, please!"
The dirty blonde stuck her hand out, to prevent the doors from closing completely, and a familiar face stepped aboard.
"Steven! Twice in one day." she greets him.
"O-oh, hello Diana. You live here?" he asks.
"Yeah, rented out a flat when I moved here."
He takes a moment to look a the buttons on the lift and notices that his floor's button was already lit and then the lift started to move.
"Oh, your flat is on the same floor as mine." he mentions.
"Is it? I guess that makes us neighbors then." she tells him.
"Guess so." he agrees.
They rode the rest of the way up in somewhat comfortable silence. When the doors opened again, Steven allowed Diana to walk out before him. He followed behind her, down the hallway and he was pleasantly surprised to see that she moved into the flat across the hall from his.
"O-oh, we're across the hall neighbors. I live in the flat here." he points at his door.
"Cool! Already met a neighbor, who happens to be really sweet and kind." she compliments him.
Steven flushed immediately and fumbled with his keys. Diana watched him in slight amusement before he managed to get his key into the slot and unlock his door. He walked into the doorway then turned around to face her.
"I uh...apologize if I happen to wake you up or keep you up. I umm...have a sleeping disorder and get nightmares." he apologizes in advance.
"Don't worry, I don't sleep well either. So it won't be a problem." she tells him sincerely.
He gives her a nod and a half wave before closing his door. She enters her flat and closes the door behind her. The dirty blonde set her plush down on the table by the door before resting her left hand against the wall and used her right hand to pull off her flats, leaving them under the table before picking her plush back up and padded across the threshold of her flat, barefoot, to her bedroom. She sets the Khonshu plush down on the window sill then turns around and walks over to her adjoining bathroom, to take a shower.
After her shower, Diana changed into her pajamas but, she didn't go to bed. Instead, she walked over to her settee and took a seat. She leaned forward to pick up her journal and pencil before leaning back in the settee. She opened the ivory notebook with silver details and flipped through the already written on pages till landing on a blank page. She wrote about her day into her notebook. The Eternal had started keeping a journal since 1521 A.D, since her best friend walked away from her and the others, wanting to write down each of the important days should she ever see her friend again and since it had been a few centuries since that day, there were quite a few stacks of full notebooks.
Once recounting her day in her notebook, the Eternal closed it and set it back down onto the small coffee table, beside her glasses. Her green-blue eyes glance over at the tortoiseshell frames she had picked up to help her blend in even though she didn't need them. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before relaxing back into the settee. She wasn't sure how much longer she could continue doing this...being on her own. She had started considering moving in with Sersi ever since she found out that her friend lived in London but, at the same time she didn't want her friend to feel smothered by her presence. Perhaps she should attempt to get some sleep...yeah, sleep. The dirty blonde gets up from the settee and makes her way to her bedroom. However, yet again she didn't go to bed. Her eyes caught sight of her plush on the window sill and walked over to it. She picked it up and sat on the window sill, which was big enough to fit herself, before looking out her window and at the night sky.
Diana leaned against a sand dune after a meeting with the Egyptian royals, staring up at the starry night sky and taking in the waning moon. She could feel a presence beside her, one that wasn't any of her Eternal friends but, one of an ancient being. She smirked slightly before turning her head to the left and looked up to see a being with a bird skull, dressed in white bandages and holding a staff.
"Hello Khonshu," she greets him.
"Hello Litil Mun," he greeted in return.
She takes notice of the way his skull tilts downwards, his way of looking down at her.
"What are you thinking about?" he wonders.
She hums thoughtfully, "Not much. I'm just taking in the night sky after today. I've always found the night to be more peaceful than the day."
"It is. That's why the night will always be superior to day." Khonshu proclaims.
Diana laughs at him, "Of course you would think that."
"Am I wrong?"
"I think the both of us are a bit biased on the matter. The Moon Ennead and the Lunar Eternal...of course we'd prefer the night over the day." she's smiling up at him.
A silence falls between the pair of them for the moment, both heads turning up to look at the starry night sky once more.
"Litil Mun, what will happen once you and your friends defeat all the Deviants that have been showing up to Egypt?" Khonshu asks out of curiosity.
"Phastos has been keeping track of how many are around the kingdom. Once all is said and done, and we're sure that Egypt will be safe without us, we'll move on to the next city in danger." she answers truthfully.
The Egyptian deity turns his head to his companion once more, "You'll just leave?"
"Mm-hmm. There won't be any use for us once we ensure the kingdom's safety." she says.
"I'm sure you will be missed. Especially since the people of Egypt treat you and the others as Gods and Goddesses...turning their backs on the Gods and Goddesses they had before you arrived." Khonshu can't help the jab.
Diana sighs, "You know that was never our intention, Khon...we had no idea about the Egyptians beliefs before we arrived. We were only after protecting Egypt from the Deviants. We can't help how humanity works, believing so easily in something they can perceive over something they can't...other than your Avatars. Besides, once we're gone they'll probably start believing in you and the others again."
Khonshu seems to deflate just a little, "I'm sorry, my Litil Mun...I didn't mean to upset you. The others have been upset since humanity turned their backs on them and it's been annoying me. I didn't mean to take my annoyance out on you."
She gives him a small smile, "It's okay, I understand."
"Diana! Where have you gone?" a voice calls out for the lunar Eternal.
The duo turn their heads in the direction of the voice, and the dirty blonde gets up from leaning against the sand dune. She does her best to brush the sand off herself and bony fingers reach out to brush sand off the back of the Eternal.
"Goodnight, Khonshu. I'll see you around." she tells him before heading in the direction of whoever called her.
"See you, Litil Mun." he says after her.
Eternals Soundtrack List: Every Song From the Movie
https://ift.tt/3jKNJ2j
As with most other big-budget films, Marvel’s Eternals has a soundtrack featuring some high profile songs, alongside the film’s stunning score, which was composed by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld, Iron Man, Pacific Rim). While Disney has officially released the Djawadi-composed Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (you can listen below!), they have yet to give any information on the potential release of the accompanying bops featured in the film, including tracks from BTS and Lizzo.
The Original Motion Picture is rich and epic—what we’ve come to expect from Djawadi’s work—but let’s talk about the rest of the musical landscape for the MCU film. We’ll keep you updated on purchase information for the pop and rock-driven soundtrack if and when it becomes available. For now, check out the track list…
Eternals Full Movie Soundtrack List
Marvels’ Eternals has one of the more eclectic soundtracks in the MCU. Unlike Guardians of the Galaxy or even Captain Marvel, it is not channeling a specific era’s nostalgia so much as trying to bring together musical references from across the ages to accompany the film’s millennia-spanning story. While most of the film’s soundtrack features tracks from the 20th and 21st centuries, there are also some late Baroque bops. (Though, sadly, no Harry Styles.) Check out the full tracklist below:
“Time,” Pink Floyd “Sugarfoot,” Black Joe Lewis and The Honeybears “Stay In The Groove Pt. 1” The Dap-Kings (ft. Rickey Calloway) “Losing You,” Written by Pierre Havet, Jean Gatson Renard, and Carl Sigman “Nach Mera Hero,” Celina Sharma “Friends,” BTS “Lend Me Your Comb,” Carl Perkins “Mama Tried,” Merle Haggard “Juice,” Lizzo “Happy Children,” Written by Harry Bluestone and Emil Cadkin “Graceful Nature,” Written by Stuart Roslyn “The End of the World,” Written by Stuart Roslyn “Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D Major 2nd Mov. Affettuoso,” Composed by Bach Prelude in G Major, BMV 902, No. 1A, Bach “Feels Like the First Time,” Foreigner
Marvel’s Eternals BTS Track Explained
BTS, aka the biggest group in the world, both gets a name drop (by Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo) and a song—”Friends,” written and produced by BTS member Jimin—featured in the film. ETtoday (via BollywoodLife) asked Zhao about the inclusion, and the Chinese filmmaker said the song fit the movie’s message, which is about a family whose relationships span literally thousands of years. “Friends” is about the almost decade-long friendship between BTS members Taehyung and Jimin, who went to high school as idol trainees before debuting together in the same band.
Also, Zhao just likes the song. She added: “It’s because this is my favorite BTS song. I really like Jimin. He’s too cute … This song is done by two of them. It’s a beautiful song. There is a variety of songs in Eternals, but they are all songs that I like, such as those by Pink Floyd and BTS.”
The track’s inclusion has already garnered lots of excitement from ARMY around the world, as well as from Korean media…
