friend invited me to a movie but because of the insane feeding schedule i have i had to turn him down and explain what was going on, because i’m really only actually free six hours a day, and i got a call from my boss that because i didn’t qualify for job protection, they’re opening applications for my position :/ if they fill it they’ll find somewhere in the hospital system for me to work so i won’t be completely out a job, but i’m still stressed, I hate this
#I know South Park is South Park but the anniversary of the movie was this month so they had a sing along#and i really wanted to go with my friend#and I’m just so frustrated at the job#I like my job I don’t want another position#we found out that ‘newly discovered birth defect’ that caused lifelong symptoms wasn’t a birth defect at all#it was damage done to me by treatments i had as a child and has likely impacted the entire lower half of my body since I was an infant#and nobody fucking told us. so now I have two things to test for and apparently the only possible treatment is a risky surgery#that might not even be an option or a good fit for me#I’m not even mad that something happened when I was a kid I’m mad that a mistake or side effect damaged me so bad as an infant#that it impacted my entire life and literally changed my anatomy and nobody told my parents it had happened. they’re just baffled

Common Symptoms and Treatment Options for Thyroid Disorders
Introduction:
The thyroid gland plays a crucial role in regulating various bodily functions. When it malfunctions, it can lead to thyroid disorders. In this blog post, we will explore the common symptoms of thyroid disorders and discuss the available treatment options to manage this condition effectively.
1. Understanding Thyroid Disorders:
The thyroid gland produces hormones that control metabolism, energy levels, and growth. Thyroid disorders can manifest in two main forms: hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. Hypothyroidism occurs when the gland does not produce enough hormones, while hyperthyroidism results from excessive hormone production.
2. Common Symptoms of Thyroid Disorders:
Fatigue and weakness
Weight changes
Mood swings and irritability
Hair loss
Temperature sensitivity
3. Diagnosis and Testing:
Accurate diagnosis of thyroid disorders involves comprehensive medical testing, including blood tests to measure hormone levels and thyroid imaging. It is essential to consult a healthcare professional for proper evaluation and interpretation of the test results.
4. Treatment Options for Thyroid Disorders:
Treatment for thyroid disorders depends on the specific condition and its severity. Common treatment options include:
Medication: Synthetic hormones to replace or regulate thyroid function.
Radioactive iodine therapy: Used to reduce the activity of an overactive thyroid.
Surgery: Removal of part or all of the thyroid gland in certain cases.
5. Lifestyle Modifications for Managing Thyroid Disorders:
In addition to medical interventions, certain lifestyle modifications can help manage thyroid disorders effectively. These include:
Balanced diet: Focus on foods rich in iodine, selenium, and zinc.
Regular exercise: Promotes overall well-being and helps regulate metabolism.
Stress management: Stress reduction techniques such as meditation and yoga.
Sufficient sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night.
Conclusion:
Thyroid disorders can significantly impact an individual's quality of life, but with early recognition and appropriate treatment, they can be effectively managed. By understanding the symptoms and exploring the available treatment options, individuals can take proactive steps toward maintaining their thyroid health. Remember to consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice and guidance.

I totally recommend reading 'The Facemaker' by Lindsey Fitzharris for more information about Harold Gillies and his incredible work.
It makes me so, so angry when I see those posts that are like "HORRIFYING EARLY PLASTIC SURGERY RESULTS FROM WW2," because all of those lists are full of images that aren't the final result and are used for pure shock value. Harold Gillies, who performed most of those surgeries, was an incredibly talented surgeon. Here are some images of the full results of his surgeries.
I need to emphasize that I can't post the "before" pictures that go with these because the men did not have faces. The injuries were so extensive that these men were missing nearly all of their facial features, and through cutting-edge techniques that "looked scary" at the time (e.g. extensive skin grafts), Gillies saved these men from a medical nightmare.
Gillies performed the world's first ftm bottom surgery for trans man Michael Dillon and pioneered mtf bottom surgery! Respect his legacy.
#I remember when I was young seeing 'before' photographs of Gillies patients and being so shocked and upset#but I never realised I was actually seeing images of the treatment in process#and it was only reading Fitzharris' book that I finally saw the 'after' photos#and honestly the results are so stunning#beautiful groundbreaking work#and I've seen interviews of patients as elderly men and honestly you'd never think they'd had horrific injuries#and undergone multiple surgeries#the work had not only stood the test of time but had actually mellowed and improved as the years passed#Harold Gillies was an amazing person#history

How to Lose Man Boobs with Dumbbells: A Guide to Toning Your Chest
Gynecomastia, or the enlargement of lose man breast with dumbbells, can be a frustrating condition for many men. While some cases of gynecomastia are caused by hormonal imbalances and may require medical treatment or surgery, others are linked to excess fat in the chest area, known as pseudogynecomastia. If you’re dealing with pseudogynecomastia, incorporating strength training exercises, especially using dumbbells, can help you tone and firm your chest.
In this blog, we will cover how dumbbell exercises can target chest fat, improve muscle tone, and provide tips on effective workouts that you can easily integrate into your fitness routine.
Understanding the Role of Exercise in Reducing Chest Fat
Before diving into the exercises, it's important to understand that spot-reducing fat in one specific area (like the chest) is not possible. However, combining strength training with cardiovascular exercise and a healthy diet can help reduce overall body fat, leading to a leaner, more defined chest over time. Lose man breast with dumbbells will specifically help build muscle in the chest, which improves its appearance as fat is reduced.
Top Dumbbell Exercises for Chest Fat Reduction
Dumbbell Chest Press
How to Perform:
Lie flat on a bench with a dumbbell in each hand.
Keep your feet flat on the floor and your back pressed firmly against the bench.
Start with your arms bent at a 90-degree angle and your dumbbells at chest level.
Push the dumbbells upward until your arms are fully extended.
Lower them back down to the starting position and repeat.
Benefits: This exercise strengthens the pectoral muscles, providing a firm, toned chest.
Dumbbell Flyes
How to Perform:
Lie on a bench with your feet on the floor and hold a dumbbell in each hand.
Start with your arms extended above your chest, palms facing each other.
Slowly lower the dumbbells in a wide arc to the sides of your body, keeping a slight bend in your elbows.
Bring them back together at the top, squeezing your chest muscles.
Benefits: Flyes isolate the chest muscles and help develop a more defined chest.
Dumbbell Pullover
How to Perform:
Lie on a bench with only your upper back and shoulders resting on it, feet flat on the ground.
Hold one dumbbell with both hands, arms extended above your chest.
Slowly lower the dumbbell behind your head in an arc, feeling the stretch in your chest and shoulders.
Bring the dumbbell back to the starting position over your chest.
Benefits: This exercise not only targets the chest but also works the lats and improves overall upper body strength.
Incline Dumbbell Press
How to Perform:
Set a bench at a 30-45 degree incline and lie back with a dumbbell in each hand.
Hold the dumbbells above your chest, with your arms extended.
Slowly lower the weights down to your upper chest, keeping your elbows at a 90-degree angle.
Push the weights back up to the starting position.
Benefits: The incline press focuses on the upper chest, helping to lift and define the area.
Combining Cardio and Diet for Best Results
While dumbbell exercises can help build muscle and tone the chest, reducing fat requires more than just strength training. To lose fat from the chest, combine your workout with:
Cardiovascular Exercise: Engage in regular cardio sessions like running, cycling, or swimming to burn calories and promote fat loss.
Balanced Diet: Focus on eating a healthy, balanced diet rich in lean proteins, whole grains, vegetables, and healthy fats. Reduce your intake of processed foods, sugar, and excess calories to create a calorie deficit, which is key to fat loss.
When Exercise May Not Be Enough In some cases, especially if the enlargement of breast tissue is caused by hormonal imbalances (true gynecomastia), no amount of exercise can fully eliminate the issue. If you’ve tried exercise and diet changes without success, you may want to consider consulting a board-certified plastic surgeon about gynecomastia surgery. This procedure removes excess glandular tissue and fat, providing a flatter and more masculine chest contour.
Conclusion Lose man breast with dumbbells are an excellent way to tone the chest and reduce the appearance of pseudogynecomastia. By incorporating targeted strength training exercises like chest presses, flyes, and push-ups, you can build muscle in the chest area and enhance the overall look of your chest as fat decreases. However, a combination of a healthy diet, cardio, and resistance training is the best approach for overall fat reduction.

Rowling isn't denying holocaust. She just pointed out that burning of transgender health books is a lie as that form of cosmetic surgery didn't exist. But of course you knew that already, didn't you?
I was thinking I'd probably see one of you! You're wrong :) Let's review the history a bit, shall we?
In this case, what we're talking about is the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, or in English, The Institute of Sexology. This Institute was founded and headed by a gay Jewish sexologist named Magnus Hirschfeld. It was founded in July of 1919 as the first sexology research clinic in the world, and was run as a private, non-profit clinic. Hirschfeld and the researchers who worked there would give out consultations, medical advice, and even treatments for free to their poorer clientele, as well as give thousands of lectures and build a unique library full of books on gender, sexuality, and eroticism. Of course, being a gay man, Hirschfeld focused a lot on the gay community and proving that homosexuality was natural and could not be "cured".
Hirschfeld was unique in his time because he believed that nobody's gender was either one or the other. Rather, he contended that everyone is a mixture of both male and female, with every individual having their own unique mix of traits.
This leads into the Institute's work with transgender patients. Hirschfeld was actually the one to coin the term "transsexual" in 1923, though this word didn't become popular phrasing until 30 years later when Harry Benjamin began expanding his research (I'll just be shortening it to trans for this brief overview.) For the Institute, their revolutionary work with gay men eventually began to attract other members of the LGBTA+, including of course trans people.
Contrary to what Anon says, sex reassignment surgery was first tested in 1912. It'd already being used on humans throughout Europe during the 1920's by the time a doctor at the Institute named Ludwig Levy-Lenz began performing it on patients in 1931. Hirschfeld was at first opposed, but he came around quickly because it lowered the rate of suicide among their trans patients. Not only was reassignment performed at the Institute, but both facial feminization and facial masculization surgery were also done.
The Institute employed some of these patients, gave them therapy to help with other issues, even gave some of the mentioned surgeries for free to this who could not afford it! They spoke out on their behalf to the public, even getting Berlin police to help them create "transvestite passes" to allow people to dress however they wanted without the threat of being arrested. They worked together to fight the law, including trying to strike down Paragraph 175, which made it illegal to be homosexual. The picture below is from their holiday party, Magnus Hirschfeld being the gentleman on the right with the fabulous mustache. Many of the other people in this photo are transgender.
[Image ID: A black and white photo of a group of people. Some are smiling at the camera, others have serious expressions. Either way, they all seem to be happy. On the right side, an older gentleman in glasses- Magnus Hirschfeld- is sitting. He has short hair and a bushy mustache. He is resting one hand on the shoulder of the person in front of him. His other hand is being held by a person to his left. Another person to his right is holding his shoulder.]
There was always push back against the Institute, especially from conservatives who saw all of this as a bad thing. But conservatism can't stop progress without destroying it. They weren't willing to go that far for a good while. It all ended in March of 1933, when a new Chancellor was elected. The Nazis did not like homosexuals for several reasons. Chief among them, we break the boundaries of "normal" society. Shortly after the election, on May 6th, the book burnings began. The Jewish, gay, and obviously liberal Magnus Hirschfeld and his library of boundary-breaking literature was one of the very first targets. Thankfully, Hirschfeld was spared by virtue of being in Paris at the time (he would die in 1935, before the Nazis were able to invade France). His library wasn't so lucky.
This famous picture of the book burnings was taken after the Institute of Sexology had been raided. That's their books. Literature on so much about sexuality, eroticism, and gender, yes including their new work on trans people. This is the trans community's Alexandria. We're incredibly lucky that enough of it survived for Harry Benjamin and everyone who came after him was able to build on the Institute's work.
[Image ID: A black and white photo of the May Nazi book burning of the Institute of Sexology's library. A soldier, back facing the camera, is throwing a stack of books into the fire. In the background of the right side, a crowd is watching.]
As the Holocaust went on, the homosexuals of Germany became a targeted group. This did include transgender people, no matter what you say. To deny this reality is Holocaust denial. JK Rowling and everyone else who tries to pretend like this isn't reality is participating in that evil. You're agreeing with the Nazis.
But of course, you knew that already, didn't you?
Edit: Added image IDs. I apologize to those using screen readers for forgetting them. Please reblog this version instead.
#transgender#trans history#transsexual#transphobia#Magnus Hirschfeld#holocaust#holocaust denial#book burning#j.k. rowling#jk rowling#just in case you missed what i mean by all this: go fuck yourself anon :)#trans people have always existed#and we will always exist#if you really wanna pick a fight with me over well-documented history then you better bring in some sources to back your shit#queer history#queer#lgbt+#lgbta+#lgbt#lgbt history#edit: i finally got around to those damn image IDs. i am so very sorry for totally forgetting that's my bimbo moment of the month#also real quick i thought about adding an image of the actual building but the only one i can find has a Nazi parade in front of it#it was taken the day of the book burning raid and honestly if i were to include it then i'd add it to the first few paragraphs#and i think the story's better told when you uphold the hope Magnus Hirschfeld and all the researchers he worked with had#also keeps being brought up: yes Hirschfeld was a eugenicist. it was a popular belief set that was only discredited after WW2#Hirschfeld died in 1935. he literally didn't live long enough to see science turn against those beliefs and practices#considering how he changed his mind on transitions i like to think he would've changed his mind on eugenics too if he'd lived
