Good god the make-up sex they'd have at the end of the redemption arc 👀 the tension cause they're both so pent up after all the years without each other, SH expecting Serena to be rough because she feels like she deserves it but shes still just as soft and loving as shes always been, SH crying because she forgot what it felt like to be loved so gently, the light touches and kisses on the wounds SH might've put on her (intentionally or otherwise) and the miserable looks of regret that Serena just has to kiss away, absolutely devouring each other like theyre starving (which they were)

Redemption AU will definitely have the spiciest dynamics between Shadowheart and Tav.

The years spent apart? Shadowheart sending her spies to observe Serena and report back periodically and they tell her she’s got some new company 👀 jealous mother Superior Shadowheart who has no right to be jealous and is frustrated beyond belief??

The physical aspect of their reunion? If Tav infiltrates the cloister, gets caught, and Shadowheart has to strike her to sell her cover at that point? Serena refusing to fight back???

All of Shadowheart’s would-be lovers!!? Shadowheart frustratedly trying to sleep with Serena?? Serena being jealous of Shads’ bed warmers and acolytes chosen to tend to her physical needs?? Refusing to be another one night stand, telling Shadowheart she wants all of her- heart, mind, body, and soul- and could never settle for anything less? It’s the opposite of what Shadowheart told her; She could ONLY call it love.

Shadowheart going to wherever Serena lives and realizing Serena kept Shadowheart’s favorite books, the ones pressed with flowers, everything she abandoned when she became mother superior?? 🥺 like she never gave up on her in the first place….and seeing signs of Serena trying to move on but just…failing? Someone else in Serena’s life but she just…can’t commit to them and Shadowheart sees she’s the reason why.

Make up sex would be out of this WORLD. Some kind of mix between wildly passionate, tearing off each other’s clothes, kissing till they can’t breathe sort of passion….and then, inevitably, it gets SO intimate so quickly because it’s them. Like, Serena HAS to kiss the furrow of her brow, the little dimples when she smiles…NEEDS to re-familiarize herself with every inch of Shadowheart, all her favorite qualities.

And the way she makes love to her? 😭 whispering how much she loves her between every kiss? Laughing as she fumbles with Shadowheart’s fancy cloister dress and Shadowheart starts crying because she hasn’t laughed with a lover since….well, Serena 🥺🥰

Shadowheart tracing over a bruise she gave Serena and moving to heal it, but Serena catches her wrist and kisses the inside like she always used to, because she forgives her- there’s nothing to even forgive, anyway. She understands it was for show. She just wants her Shadowheart back.

I like to think that in the Redemption!AU that Bianca still manifests their children but, instead of Sephiroth ruthlessly trains them, he is kinder to them and spends lots of time with them. I can see the other guys (Angeal, Genesis, and Zack) becoming like protective parents over Aurora. Imagine getting through all four first classes for a date with Seph's daughter in that AU. 😂

Aerith would coo and cuddle the twins for sure.

The lifespan angst is painful already but lifespan angst in the redemption au?? 😭🤌All those extra years they could have had together? I just Know Shadowheart lays awake holding Serena, tracing the new lines on her face here and there, watching the grey hairs begin to grow at her temples. Proof of how long they've loved each other but only now able to be together because of how determined she was to be someone she wasn't. Trying hard not sob because Serena is sleeping. Serena waking up anyway because her Wifey Senses were tingling 🥲🤭

Noooooo oh my god 😭💀 that’s good angst right there!! Shadowheart would trace the lines on her face when she’s sleeping, counting them. Shadowheart has studied her face so lovingly, she’d recognize every new wrinkle, every scar that wasn’t there before.

She probably thinks of days spent in the cloister, and it fucking aches, because those were precious years she could’ve spent with beautiful, fleeting Serena. And I think Shadowheart might have an inkling that no one is ever going to love her as much as that beautiful, short-lived, shooting star in her life that is Serena.

Serena waking up and comforting her? Making her laugh softly 🥹 “are you calling me old??” And distracting her with kisses until she forgets about it, for a while.

Serena knows she’s just a chapter in the book of Shadowheart’s life. She just hopes she’s one Shadowheart will remember fondly.
