How CSR Can Help Improve Children's Education In India
When a task is extremely complex and layered, the most prudent way to approach it is to break it down into small parts and plan a stepwise implementation strategy. Only through focused plans and concerted efforts can a lofty peak be scaled. There is, inarguably, no loftier goal in India than ensuring access to quality education for all the children of the nation.
With there being a mammoth chasm between the demand for and supply of educational infrastructure in the country, we need all hands on deck to make education not just a legal right but also a ground reality. To this end, CSR NGO partnerships are playing an instrumental role.
The Social Responsibility of Corporates in India
It is no secret that the alarming levels of poverty, unemployment, and various other social evils are the primary causes preventing children from attending school or forcing them to drop out of school without completing their education.
Without a strong academic foundation, children are bound to find it difficult to gain suitable employment, and the vicious circle of unemployment and poverty keeps ever-churning. As one of the leading NGOs in India, we are cognizant of the power of robust CSR NGO partnerships and their life-changing impact on children in need.
There are several ways through which CSR NGO collaborations can change the face of children’s education in India, and the most prominent amongst those are as follows:
Pencils and Slates Before It Is Too Late
One of the primary aims of NGOs for CSR activities is to ensure that underprivileged children have access to essential study material. With major corporations fulfilling their CSR plans by establishing schools or improving the infrastructure of existing schools and helping children in need bridge the seemingly small yet significant gap between their economic circumstances and their educational needs, CSR NGO partnerships can generate substantial synergy toward this cause.
Safety And Hygiene To Keep Children Clean
Aside from lack of access to education, another ailment affecting children of พนัน บอลour nation is malnutrition. As of November 2021, more than 33 lakh children in India were reported as being malnourished. Not only can CSR NGO collaborations help children attain education, but they can also pave the path for better health and hygiene for children. With schools providing safe and nutritious meals to students, the evil of malnourishment can be contained.

### Exposing and Stopping Fake Scam Call Centers in Kolkata, India
#### Introduction
Kolkata, the vibrant cultural capital of India, is unfortunately also known as a hub for fraudulent call centers. These scam operations target unsuspecting victims globally, tarnishing the city's reputation and causing significant financial and emotional distress. This blog explores the mechanisms behind these scams, the efforts to combat them, and how we can contribute to stopping this menace.
#### Understanding the Scams
Fake call centers operate under various guises, from tech support and IRS impersonation to lottery and loan scams. These operations are sophisticated, often using advanced technology to spoof caller IDs and create believable scenarios. The scammers are well-trained, fluent in multiple languages, and skilled in social engineering techniques.
#### The Impact of Scams
The impact of these scams is far-reaching:
1. **Financial Loss**: Victims lose thousands of dollars to these scams, often their life savings.
2. **Emotional Toll**: Beyond financial loss, victims suffer immense emotional stress, guilt, and shame.
3. **Reputational Damage**: Kolkata's image suffers, affecting legitimate businesses and tourism.
4. **Legal Consequences**: Those involved face severe legal repercussions, damaging their future prospects.
#### Efforts to Combat the Scams
1. **Law Enforcement Actions**: The Kolkata Police, in collaboration with international agencies like the FBI and Interpol, have been actively raiding and shutting down these scam centers. Recent operations have led to numerous arrests and the seizure of equipment used in scams.
2. **Public Awareness Campaigns**: NGOs, government bodies, and tech companies are working to educate the public about recognizing and avoiding scams. These campaigns are crucial in empowering potential victims with the knowledge to protect themselves.
3. **Regulatory Measures**: Strengthening cyber laws and implementing stricter regulations for call centers can help prevent the establishment of fraudulent operations.
4. **Technological Interventions**: Tech companies are developing tools to detect and block scam calls. Collaboration between telecom companies and regulatory bodies is essential to identify and shut down spoofed numbers.
#### How You Can Help
1. **Stay Informed**: Regularly update yourself on the latest scam tactics. Knowledge is your first line of defense.
2. **Report Scams**: If you receive a suspicious call, report it to the authorities. In India, you can contact the Cyber Crime Cell or use the government's helpline.
3. **Educate Others**: Share information with friends and family, especially those who may be more vulnerable to scams, such as the elderly.
4. **Support Legitimate Causes**: Contribute to or volunteer with organizations working to combat cybercrime and support victims.

ISOLATION FROM SURROUNDINGS AND LONELINESS.
The city of joy is an ageing urban setting —this is not the concrete jungle—not a city of color. Kolkata currently has the most people aged 60 and above in India, despite other Indian cities having younger populations. And to make matters worse, Kolkata has disturbingly low rates of the population's 20-year-olds, who make up the largest age group in all major cities.
According to a U.N. assessment from 2019, India, the second most populous nation in the world, would probably overtake China as the most populous nation by 2027 by adding over 273 million people to its current population. Accordingly, the National Statistical Office (NSO) predicted that India's old population will rise throughout the forecast period, rising from 138 million in 2021 to 194 million in 2031. With the nation's ageing population, senior poverty has emerged as a critical societal concern.
According to the WHO, those 60 to 74 are considered old. The old population segment was divided into the following categories by the UN in 1980 when it suggested 60 as the age of transition:
Between the ages of 60 and 75, young to old.
75 to 85 years old is considered to be old.
85 years or older is quite old.
The joint family, which emphasis the family as a unit and requires reverence to age and authority, is progressively being replaced by nuclear homes, which are characterize   by individualism, independence, and a need for privacy. Children who relocate frequently struggle to adjust to city life and decide to abandon their elderly parents in the village, which creates issues for the elderly with loneliness and a shortage of careers. Parents in this situation might have to take care of themselves because they can't always rely on their kids for financial assistance. They keep working, but at a slower rate.
Old Age Homes' function as careers:-
Even though it's not particularly prevalent, the idea of an old age home exists in India. The Bangalore Friends-in Need organization opened the first old age home in Bangalore in 1983. It was known as the "(Obb Home)". Help Age India believes that there are currently 728 institutions, with maybe the most of them located in metropolitan regions. Despite government and non-governmental organization (NGO) efforts, the elderly in India continue to be the most vulnerable population, suffering from a variety of issues. As a result, they need sufficient care and attention. Growing older is a normal process. "Old age is a disease that has no cure."
The aged in India may benefit greatly from the following recommendations-
The family-informal system, where the concept of care is rooted within a history of social duties that are acknowledged and reciprocated, should be strengthened since it is still the preferred source of assistance for the elderly. It is important to promote the mutual support and care between parents, grandparents, and children in multigenerational homes. Additionally, media and school curriculum can be used to reaffirm traditional ideals of filial responsibilities.
The connections within families that include both young and old people must be improved via institutional care. Effective law is required to protect parents' rights to be taken care of by their children.
The general public's awareness of the need to safeguard this subgroup must be raised. The target population, which consists of elderly rural residents, elderly women, and widows, has to be protected urgently.
Additionally, it is important for the elderly to be active, to understand that they can still contribute to their family or community and to the nation and society at large.
