WIP Wednesday
*Peeks head out from hidey hole* Hey ya'll...I'm back! It has been a hot minute since I've been truly active here. Getting through the holidays, getting ready for school, general stay at home mom stuff, and just literal lack of writers block/motivation kept from working on wips. But I have seen and very much appreciated every tag! Thank you for not forgetting about me!
Today I've been tagged by the wonderful and glamorous @giddyupbuck, @wikiangela, and @disasterbuckdiaz. Looking forward to all your upcoming works and loving all that has been posted already!
Alright, so I know several are wanting some NFL Buck and I promise I will be getting back to the fic once I am finished with my 4+1 Buck's kindness being a cockblocker. So here is some of that! Enjoy!
A tear-filled okay is Buck’s only answer and together with Eddie, they sit there for a long minute, listening to Maddie take several deep breaths, each one becoming smoother than the last. After the fourth deep breath, she answer’s Buck’s earlier worries, “No one is hurt. I’m sorry.” Her voice is a little rough and she hiccups, trying to hold back more sobs. “Okay that’s good. Means whatever has you breaking our ear drums is fixable.” Buck reassures. “Our ears?” Maddie repeats, “Oh god. Eddie?” Mortification leeched into her sadness. “I’m here. Gave Buck quite a scare, me too.” Eddie answers gently. A short second of silence, then the sound of skin smacking skin, “Oh my god, I forgot all about the kid free weeks of debauchery Buck and you had planned! Oh god! Are you two even dressed? Did I interrupt?” Buck’s cheeks flare bright red and Eddie’s brain comes to halt for a moment at the Maddie’s description of their time without Christopher. “I swear I did not call it that!” Buck hissed under his breath to Eddie. Maddie clearly heard him and gives an awkward cough, “Um no. Actually, those were Howie’s words. Apparently, Eddie, you didn’t hide the uh contents of your duffle that well.” “Dios.” Eddie groaned, his mind flashing to bag he had packed to stay with Buck for the next weeks. Of course, he didn’t bring just clothes and basic toiletries. While Buck had an impressive collection of toys and other pleasurable items of his own, Eddie was a bit possessive. He wanted new, unused, and untouched by anyone but him and Buck. Mainly him. And Chimney somehow caught a glimpse of the debauchery Eddie was bringing with him. The elder Buckley sibling hummed, “Yea…” “Can I be struck by lightening again?” Buck mumbles, scraping a harsh hand down his heated face.
This fic is close to being done and I am super nervous because I am working on the final scene and its supposed to be very smutty with a very desperate Eddie. Never done that before and I'm hoping its up to standards. Anywho... Hope you all enjoyed! You can find previous snippets of this wip here.

The Campbell thing, OMG! Can’t believe someone in the NFL would do that, so many who would kill to get a chance at anytime on the field. He had a 5mil deal for 1 year👀 Bet he’s done done, cuz good luck finding a team to pick you up now.
Yup! It’s not a good look. ESPECIALLY, when you have someone on the team (Ward) who lost his daughter and came back to play a few weeks later.
Apparently, he was mad that he was benched for Greenlaw then asked to play for him when Greenlaw was fatigued. SMH, if anything he should have gone out there and try to prove he is better rather than throw a pity party.

The latest from People
I would say this is a bit of damage control for the sports bros who feel like she is distracting him, but I’d say it’s almost identical to what we heard last week but for some reason I feel like it’s progressed ever so slightly (I can’t explain exactly why. Something about “nothing too serious.”) But still plenty of room to go either way toward what I think is the most likely next step:
1) it lasts through the football season (but I think maybe a little more low key to prevent over saturation, which we’ve already hit, and it needs a minute to soak in IMO.)
2) it cools off this week and then ends officially somewhere around November. But maybe with the hints at the possibility to rekindle after the football season when he can focus on her and not distract from the game and she’s all done with her fall activities, then has another tour break. Since this week is identical to last week, and no real progress has been made, I feel a little more confident in this continuing to be the most likely scenario. But I wouldn’t dare to bet on it!
I think this option is very unlikely: 3) it ends abruptly and acrimoniously like Matty and joe and well, eveyone for the last 8 years.
The question on most people’s minds is what happens next Sunday in Minnesota, what happens during his off weekend which just happens to coincide with Eras movie opening weekend, the 13th, and then what happens during his off week when Taylor goes to Argentina. Also his birthday this week but I have trouble imagining her doing much for that. Maybe he’ll show up with a Very Expensive Watch (I doubt it- he can buy his own watch and unlike a certain someone, I think he’d want everyone to know that.) I will also be interested to see if she wears that heart locket again.
So much to look forward to!
#also sports bros are getting grosser and grosser as expected#oh also shout out to tree calling her the lavender haze singer. chefs kiss

Why not? 😂
Yes, this is way too early, and, yes, we're calling this a 2025 NFL Mock Draft ... but maybe a better way to look at this is not as your garden-variety mock draft -- "Here's who your team will take 51 weeks from now having no idea how the current roster and subsequent season unfolds" -- but as a guide to the college players you should keep an eye on during the 2024 season. As always, the conversation will start with the quarterbacks, but as we sit here, there are no Caleb Williams-type prospects – though no one was talking up Jayden Daniels or J.J. McCarthy last May, either.
Again, to reiterate: This is less "mock draft" than "handy list of names to look out for in the fall." That said, we have to mention this: the draft order is using Caesars Sportsbook's Super Bowl odds (prior to Round 1) but in reverse order. We know folks are going to be very angry about why we have their team picking so high, but it's not our fault. These are your team's odds of winning a Lombardi Trophy, as determined Las Vegas.
If nothing else, using the betting odds means that, for the third straight year, the Panthers have the No. 1 overall pick. Hopefully first-year coach Dave Canales can get the most out of Bryce Young, but if that doesn't happen … you'd have to imagine quarterback at No. 1 (for the second time in three drafts for Carolina) will be a talking point.

3 questions. Do you sports bet? Do you watch the NFL? Can I have your week 1 predictions?
1. I know that betting on sports would be way too fun (even the dumb little bets about like cleat color and Gatorade color) for my addictive personality and being in debt due to my own negligence sounds like a bad time so I personally do not partake.
2. Love the NFL.
3. (If you’re using my picks to bet on I want to say up front that I am not responsible for any money loss you may suffer.) Falcons over Panthers. Ravens over Texans. Bengals over Browns (this is going to be a literal murder scene, did you SEE Joey B’s contract extension?) Vikings over Bucs. Titans over Saints. Jags over Colts. Niners over Steelers. Commanders over Cards. Raiders over Broncos. Dolphins over Chargers. Eagles over Pats. Bears over Packers (I cannot believe I just said that.) Seahawks over Rams. Giants over Cowboys. Bills over Jets so hard that Aaron Rodgers literally re-contemplates retirement Week 1 of the season.

[ad_1] As the college football season unfolded, it became increasingly clear that one quarterback stood above all the rest when it comes to the NFL Draft: Shedeur Sanders. The Colorado signal-caller has been rock-solid all season, guiding the Buffs to a 9-3 record and a date with BYU in the Alamo Bowl (Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET). And Sanders remains at the top of the odds board, sitting at -200 (bet $10 to win $15 total) this week to go No. 1 overall. But another player has been gaining some late steam: Miami's Cam Ward, who has led his team to a 10-2 mark and matchup against Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl (Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET). The Canes' star is second in betting odds to go No. 1 overall, at +170 (bet $10 to win $27 total). With the race seeming to heat up, we thought it would be fun to have our experts examine these two quarterbacks more closely and chime in on which QB deserves to be drafted first.Jason McIntyre, Rob Rang, Bucky Brooks and RJ Young were up to the task. Here's what they had to say.Which QB should be the first chosen in the NFL Draft, Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders?Jason McIntyre: Cam WardI had Cam Ward No. 1 in my mock draft, and for most teams that are QB-needy, I’d take Ward. He’s an extremely gifted thrower, moves fluidly in the pocket, and watching him this season lead the Miami Hurricanes back to relevance — he turns 23 in May and maturity won’t be an issue.[Jason McIntyre's mock draft: Giants grab Ward at No. 1, Raiders get Sanders]The one team that definitely makes sense for Shedeur Sanders is the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders thought they had their "face" of the franchise in Jon Gruden, and that failed miserably. Sanders is a big-time star, but I see a lot of backyard football in him — similar to Caleb Williams. But Sanders has only played football for his dad dating back to high school, where his dad was the offensive coordinator at Trinity Christian in Texas. Then they both went to Jackson State. Then they both went to Colorado. If your team drafts Shedeur, just know that the clock instantly begins ticking on Deion Sanders being your next head coach. I'm not sure how many coaches will push back against this ahead of the draft. What is Cam Ward's NFL ceiling? | The Herd Rob Rang: Shedeur SandersNo quarterback improved his NFL draft stock more in 2024 than Ward, but in the race to be the first signal-caller selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, Sanders remains well ahead of him.Statistics can be bent to prove a lot of things, but in the case of Sanders’ FBS-leading 74.2% completion rate this season, the numbers bear out what’s on film — the simple fact that "Deion’s kid" is the most accurate quarterback in the country. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Sanders does not possess a howitzer for an arm. Frankly, Ward’s is stronger. Further, Sanders has a normal, efficient release, whereas Ward’s is lightning-quick. And don’t be surprised if Ward measures in as bigger and more explosive in whatever workouts the quarterbacks opt to do, as well. Ward’s inspirational journey from Incarnate Wood to Washington State to a Heisman Trophy finalist at Miami is undeniable and a stark contrast to the perceived pampering Sanders has experienced playing the past four years with his father as head coach. How realistic is a Deion-Shedeur Sanders to Cowboys move? However, from a pure football perspective, Sanders stands apart from the other quarterbacks in this class, especially in his precision and anticipation. Flat-footed in the pocket or on the move, he fires short and intermediate passes with confidence and lofts the ball downfield with plus-touch and trajectory, often throwing his receivers open. While there are some questionable decisions in his tape — a pick-six early on against Nebraska, for example — he rarely makes the same mistake twice, showing the savvy that comes with a lifetime spent watching and playing the game at a high level. And while his flashy persona may be viewed by some as a concern, it is precisely his experience and apparent comfort in the spotlight that may, in fact, make Sanders popular with teammates and unusually well-prepared for the media glare that comes with being the face of an NFL franchise.Bucky Brooks: Shedeur SandersThe debate between Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward will take center stage during the draft season, but the Colorado standout is the clear choice as QB1 in the 2025 class. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder is the prototypical franchise quarterback NFL teams have coveted for the last 20 years. From his classic drop-back playing style, to his unwavering confidence and swagger, to his clutch playmaking ability, Sanders checks off the boxes as an elite quarterback prospect. As the son of a Hall of Fame player with a flamboyant personality, he thrived on the biggest and brightest stage since stepping onto Jackson State’s campus as a four-star recruit with a big-game reputation.Sanders showcased franchise quarterback skills, leading his JSU to a pair of SWAC championships with a 23-3 overall record, including a perfect mark in conference play. He dazzled with a 68.3% completion rate for 6,983 yards and 70 touchdowns with just 14 interceptions, while adding 157 yards and nine rushing touchdowns. The first-team All-American carved up SWAC defenses with surgical precision, exhibiting exceptional timing and anticipation on quick-rhythm throws. Moreover, Sanders displayed the poise, pocket awareness, and diagnostic skills to punish opponents for overaggressive coverage and blitzes. Though critics questioned his success due to the level of competition, it is hard to ignore his performance and production as a young player leading his squad to championships.Shedeur Sanders 2024 full season highlights | Future No. 1 Pick? After transferring to Colorado, Sanders silenced the naysayers with productive seasons, creating a buzz in the NFL scouting community. He completed 71.8% of his passes for 7,156 yards with 62 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The improved accuracy, efficiency, and production speak to Sanders’ quick acclimation to Pac-12/Big 12 competition. Given his success against better competition, it is easy to envision him flourishing as a pro after a brief adjustment period as a rookie.Sanders has been too good for too long to fail at the NFL level, particularly after playing in a pro-style offense coordinated by a former NFL head coach/offensive playcaller (Pat Shurmur). He enters the league with experience executing NFL-like concepts, shrinking his learning curve as a rookie. In addition, he is a four-year starter with 50 collegiate starts (including the 2024 Alamo Bowl), which will accelerate his learning curve.Considering that Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix have crushed it as rookies after logging 50-plus starts as collegians, Sanders has a chance to stand out as a rookie in the right environment. While Ward's arm talent and moxie will appeal to some teams looking for a spark, Sanders' poise, pocket awareness and big-game experience gives him the nod in the QB1 debate.RJ Young: It depends on what you're looking forYes. The answer is yes, you ridiculous pro football provocateur. Yes, you delinquent draftnik. Yes, you filthy fantasy football fantasist. This is one of those first world problems the rich and famous complain about. Would you rather have a playmaker in the pocket (Ward) or a fixer as a field general (Sanders)? Would you rather never pay taxes again?Yes, you would, you rude and radical gridiron grifter. Would you like to have the nation’s No. 2 passer in Ward, who threw for 4,123 yards, 36 touchdowns and seven touchdowns, or the nation’s No. 4 passer and the single-season record holder at Colorado with 3,926 yards, 35 passing touchdowns and eight interceptions?Yes, you would, you keyboard-clacking rabble-rouser.Would you rather have the QB who threw passes to the Heisman Winner (Sanders) or the one throwing passes to the most prolific receiver in Miami Hurricanes history (Ward)? Should Cowboys move on from Dak Prescott and draft Shedeur Sanders? Yes, you would, John Mara.Would you rather have the quarterback forged in the crucible of Texas high school football, who made his name at an FCS school, transferred to a Power 4 program, and then led that program to a top 25 ranking and just short of playing for a conference title this season? That’s Sanders and Ward again.Yes, you would Jerry Jones.Would you rather have the quarterback who started more than 40 college football games in his career?Yes, you would Mark Davis.Would you rather have the quarterback who went into the Swamp, dropped 41 points and 385 passing yards on the Gators and then turned around and told UF fans they’re not enough? Then that’s Ward.Would you rather have the QB who has been coached by one of the greatest football players to ever live and one of the greatest athletes the universe has ever seen? The one who doesn’t know what it’s like not to be famous. The one who knows who to handle it. The one that has been called "grown" by his father since he was a teenager. Then draft Sanders. Would you like the opportunity to enjoy the kind of success and popularity the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders enjoy? Then stop arguing about which one to get and just make sure you’re in a position to draft one. Then it’s up to you. Then it’s up to your front office to surround him with every available tool to promote development, to sell out in pursuit of where their individual talent can lead you.Do you want the best chance to turn your franchise into a Super Bowl champion with a single solitary selection? Then the answer is yes.Now here’s the hard part: Don’t mess this up.Jason McIntyre is a FOX Sports betting analyst who also writes about the NFL and NBA Draft. Green Bay Packers Season Recap So Far: The Highs and Lows
As the NFL season progresses, the Green Bay Packers have provided their fans with a mix of excitement and anxiety, showcasing both the potential and the hurdles of the 2024 campaign. Here’s a detailed recap of their season so far, with an analysis of each game week, highlighting the key moments that have defined the Packers’ journey.
Week by Week Breakdown
Week 1: Philadelphia 34, Green Bay 29 The season opener was a tough test against the Eagles, with Jordan Love leaving the game injured. The Packers showcased a resilient spirit, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win against a formidable Philadelphia side led by an impressive performance from Saquon Barkley.
Week 2: Green Bay 16, Indianapolis 10 A win that was hard-earned, primarily through a ground-heavy game. Malik Willis stepped in for the injured Jordan Love, and Josh Jacobs carried a significant load, marking a victory that balanced the early setback from week 1.
Week 3: Green Bay 30, Tennessee 14 Malik Willis showed he could handle the starting role, leading the Packers to a solid victory with support from a staunch defensive performance, highlighted by a pick-six from Jaire Alexander.
Week 4: Minnesota 31, Green Bay 29 A close defeat in a high-stakes game saw Jordan Love struggling with accuracy, possibly due to his knee injury. Despite a valiant comeback attempt, defensive lapses allowed the Vikings to cling to a narrow win.
Week 5: Green Bay 24, L.A. Rams 19 The Packers’ defense stood out, with Xavier McKinney intercepting a pass for the fifth consecutive game. The team’s ability to force turnovers was a crucial element in overcoming the Rams.
Week 6: Green Bay 34, Arizona 13 Jordan Love returned to form, throwing four touchdowns and demonstrating deep pass capabilities that hinted at his full recovery and potential. The return of Romeo Doubs also added a spark to the receiving corps.
Week 7: Green Bay 24, Houston 22 In a nail-biter, the Packers edged out Houston with a last-minute field goal by newcomer Brandon McManus. This win was particularly significant as it came against a team with a winning record, setting a different tone for the quality of Green Bay’s victories.
Week 8: Green Bay 30, Jaguars 27 The Packers win another nail-biter, again with a game-winning field goal by McManus. The Packers blew a two score lead in the fourth quarter after losing Jordan Love to injury. But Malik Willis threw a beauty to Jayden Reed with less than two minutes to go to set up McManus. Willis is 3-0 in games played this year.
Week 9: Detroit 24, Green Bay 14 No nail-biter here. The Packers were destroyed by the Lions. Love returned from injury but threw another terrible pick-six that sealed the Packers’ fate late in the first half. The Lions went up 24-3 to start the third quarter and it was game over. The Packers fall to 0-2 in the division.
Analysis
The Packers’ season has been a rollercoaster, marked by key injuries and thrilling comebacks. The team’s performance has notably improved as Jordan Love finds his rhythm post-injury, and the defense steps up to capitalize on opponents’ mistakes. However, inconsistencies, particularly in special teams and pass defense, highlight areas needing attention as the season progresses.
Navigating the Odds: The Betting Angle
As the NFL season unfolds, the conversations around the Green Bay Packers extend beyond the field and into the realms of sports betting, where the over under NFL bets captivate both seasoned and novice bettors alike.
These discussions aren’t limited to traditional media; they thrive in the digital age through various Packers-focused podcasts. These platforms dissect every play, decision, and future matchup, naturally weaving in betting odds and fan expectations into each episode. This integration of sports betting into daily fan discussions not only enriches the fan experience but also enhances the strategic appreciation of the game, as listeners and viewers engage with the nuances of NFL betting while rallying behind the Packers.
Conclusion
As we look towards the rest of the season, the Packers are positioned to make significant strides. The integration of sports betting and media coverage has indeed added a layer of excitement and analysis, broadening the dialogue around each game. With a solid core and emerging talents, Green Bay is poised for a potentially deep playoff run, aiming not just to compete, but to excel in a fiercely competitive NFC North.
For fans and analysts alike, the Packers offer much to discuss, debate, and anticipate. Each game week brings new stories, and as always, the heart-stopping moments that make NFL football irresistibly compelling.
